✓ The app is perfectI understand everyone wants to make the app better, but I’m going through so many of your comments and my goodness you forget this is a FREE app it’s something basic to interact with people of different languages in our territory so we don’t just show up to bug them hand leave because we can’t communicate. If you want something more complex go to school or buy a program that fits your needs and desires. Had minor difficulties getting it to work on my iphone but this was quickly resolved by going into my settings on my phone and changing my iPhone language from English uk to English. Once i downloaded my primary language and one I wanted to learn I then changed my settings back to English uk. App now works like a dream. Can't wait to get learning. ✓ It works on UK iPhones - 4 & 4s!!!My dear brothers, thank you so, so much for this precious gift! Brothers and sisters from the UK who have been having issues getting this app to work, here is what worked for us: Change the language of your phone to English from UK English or British English. Next download or open the app. The languages should now appear. When selecting English as the primary, you will see a green bar appear - actually this is a loading bar and another shade of green shows how much of the English data has downloaded. For us it took up to five minutes for each language to download, be patient it is working. Then we did the same for the language we want to learn and allowed it to download in the same way. We are truly thankful to Jehovah for this gift that will help us in our ministry. My favourite phrase in Chinese so far 'that bible translation is not faithful to the original text'! ✓ How to fix it on appleSadly for many I've spoken to, their apple system will not load this new language app. This is because the language of your device is not set up correctly to how the program works. Your ipad or iPhone should be set up to "English" and not "British English". Go to your settings and change it first, then it will open up in the normal way allowing you to select the target language etc. it really is worth the effort to change, although it is very easy to. If you change it back by the way, the app will not open again, so my suggestion is to just use the English setting from now on. Hopefully they might update it later To work on the British English setting but try it out now and start using this great app today..Version: 1.0.1

✓ Brilliant! Change settings to install.Fantastic App 😃 Can't wait to start using it now!! Like others I couldn't get past "Choose Primary Language" and had no languages to choose. On iPad go to "settings" > "general" > "language & region" (or "international on my iPhone 4s) change "ipad language" to English (Not English UK or British English). Then try opening JW Language App again & hopefully you will now have a list of languages to choose from. Once all set up with App you can go back to Settings & change your device back to British English if you wish. Worked for me, hope it does for others..Version: 1.0.1

✓ Got past the bugs; now it's fantasticI couldn't get the app to work on my iPhone 5S in the UK. I finally got around it by going to Settings > General > Language & Region and changing my phone language from English (UK) to English. I could then load the app and download my primary language and one other language. Once I'd done that I could go back into setting, correct my phone language back to English (UK) and thereafter use the app in full with no issues.
