Stryd for Positive User Reviews

Nothing is going to break my strydGame changer.Version: 6.3.4

The way forwardStryd is a game changer! Purchase Clip on Run And geek out on the data!! Say no more..Version: 5.7

Game changer. Love it!I heard about it from a friend and I was skeptical at first, but it turned out to be all the things I was told and even more. Great product!.Version: 7.9.5

Fantastic*Great running partner *Power So much better than going by pace or heart rate *Such a wealth of information to aid in my running journey *The Stryd Power Meter For Runners Is A Godsend!!!! *Could not be happier to have such a valuable tool!!! 😁👏😅Let’s Go!!!!!!!.Version: 7.1.3

Great app and platformApplication is getting better after each update and heading in the right direction. All stability issues were resolved. I still wish to see some features like native workout builder, but I am sure Stryd team is already baking something interesting in the background..Version: 6.4.2

Always on is here!!I’ve been waiting for always on for years. So happy that it finally is here. Great job!.Version: 7.3.1

A whole new worldI have been running over a decade, but I’ve only started taking it a bit more seriously in the last couple of years. After training the conventional way, with HR and pace as main indicators, I decided to give Power Running a go and boy it’s a totally different level. The concept is rather simple, and Stryd delivers it in an amazing way. The plethora of data can be daunting at first, but the support is second to none and the Stryd community is brilliant. The training plans look awesome and I’m about to start the introduction to power, which I’m sure won’t disappoint. If you’re into running, at any level, I would say do not hesitate and get a Stryd!.Version: 6.3.3

Top running toolSo much more accurate than GPS and even accurate on the treadmill..Version: 5.6.5

Getting better all the timeHaving run with Stryd for several years, the improvements to both the app and Power Center have been substantial. This is a company that has had great hardware from the off and is now backing it up with meaningful, easily interpreted software features..Version: 5.9.6

Great app!The software and hardware are both very comprehensive and well made. Looking forward to using this for training!.Version: 5.9.1

Auto calculate doesn’t seem to be workingI have auto calculate enabled, but my critical power doesn’t appear to be recalculating. I have the same number from the day I enabled it, which is fine, but it says it hasn’t updated since then either. If it is auto calculating and getting the same crit power number that’s fine, but I’d like to see that it is actually incorporating my latest runs..Version: 5.1.2

The way to get Personal Bests!!Training with the Stryd power meter will help you hit goals that you never previously thought possible with accurate measurements of your running and it’s ability to help manage your running efficiently and reducing the risk of overtraining and injury. Highly recommend it!! Make sure you read all the advice on usage and use their training plans..Version: 7.1.3

Great product but still buggyI love Stryd, but lately I’ve had trouble syncing with my Garmin Connect. My watch has the data, my Garmin Connect has the data, but it doesn’t sync to Stryd. Most runs do, but some don’t. It’s very frustrating..Version: 6.0.4

FantasticThe ability to closely track and respond to live analytics and automatically adapt my training plan is worth more than the investment. Keep up the good work..Version: 7.9.4

Brilliant appAmazing for analysing my runs.Version: 5.7.2

I LOVE MY STRYDUpdate Jan 2020 STYRD keeps getting better and better. Stryd for me is essential. Stryd support team is the best. They are growing fast and focused on the core mission first of accurate power to help you get the best race and training you can get. Auto CP & RSB has changed the game. The app will get better and better over time as they have a new app developer, & there are frequent updates..Version: 5.6.3

👌👌👌Excellente application !!.Version: 6.0.3

High quality appGreat analysis. No crashes and hangs. Professional look and feel..Version: 7.1.3

Run with Power!!!Running with power is the future of running. Stryd has it figured out. Also, a great online community to answer your questions..Version: 5.5.1

First time use and very accurateFirst time to use Stryd. Though only used it 2 months before the race(a little too late) and being under trained (as usual) still able to predict my finish time pretty close. Very impressed! Will definitely relay my future marathon training with it #stryd #strydrunning. Best tool to use to train based on “perceived effort”..Version: 7.8.1

Great Running TechI spent a lot of time following the Facebook group comments before jumping in to purchase. Part of the reason for doing so was the prospect of being able to try before you buy, referring to the imposition of costs later in 2021. I am so glad I did. I am following the Stryd directions, not trying to be over clever, still following the FB page and have to say loving it. Forget pace, forget heart rate all you need is Stryd and power. Worth every penny, and with Gus answering questions in depth and at every level of understanding you cannot go wrong. I’ve now moved to following the 5k high volume plan and am really enjoying balanced running..Version: 6.3.5

Incredible tech, incredible softwareI reckon this is by far now the best combo of gear and software. It beats hands down Garmin Connect and TrainingPeaks. It would be awesome if Stryd developed their own watch..Version: 6.0.2

Worth itThis is a great gadget and the app and ecosystem are well supported..Version: 6.4

Courir avec StrydJ’aime la précision des données et ça me donne des ailes !.Version: 7.8.2

Getting betterThe latest app is very good, especially the graph section, which allows you to drill down onto specific points on the graph on touch. However the app still does not show all the metrics of the desktop version and misses some nice touches such as being able to overlay and compare against other metrics and being able to extend the display in landscape orientation. In comparison the recent update of the Garmin Connect app has upped the game and now incorporates all of the Stryd metrics as well as the touches mentioned above..Version: 4.0.2

Great AppSince the new improvements, I love this app and I exclusively use it to analyze my training now. The ability to sync workouts from TrainingPeaks or Final Surge is great, but I enjoy the overall experience, the clean design and the way all the insights and metrics are provided..Version: 6.4.2

Keeps improving! It’s great to see the app getting allot of love from the developers. The interface looks really good and the app easy to use. Please could you add more power centre charts and insights to the mobile app. Otherwise great job team!.Version: 5.4

Love affair with my footpodI seriously love my Stryd. I want to impress it and I crave its approval. And I appreciate and benefit from its coaching and advice. I’m sincerely a better and happier runner. I feel sick to my stomach if I start a run and realize my Stryd is not attached to my shoe. And don’t even get me started on the Garmin Fenix - Stryd combo! It really is a great product. And it really is a lot of fun. I highly recommend it. There is a lot of data for the obsessive data person, but for me the constant improvement of the app AI and coaching and being free to benefit from the analysis done by the app is what I really like. I can go for a run and he (Sven, my Stryd’s nickname) points out some useful advise..Version: 6.0.2

Another levelStryd has taken my training to a whole new level. HR zones weren’t working well for me, I overheat and HR goes up easily and is less reliable than power. The battery lasts a long time, it’s so easy to use, and the amount of data you get is insane. Stryd is amazing!.Version: 7.14.3

Nice way to be more efficient while runningLove it.Version: 7.14.2

Auto Critical Power UpdatesIt’s great that the new version updates critical power without testing. Love that! But I’m really missing the daily insights that the app produced in the last version. Are these gone for good?.Version: 5.0.1

Always changing, every betterThis app, when linked to a Stryd and an Apple Watch provides unparalleled metrics for the avid runner. I can not recommend the ecosystem enough, it makes sharing to Strava seamless for the social aspect, and their open APIs allow third party analysis for detailed data from your runs. The iOS App is intuitive, as is the Apple Watch App. The app has long since proven stable for running and racing with just an Apple Watch and a foot pod. With Music control on Apple Watch, and 4G support, your run is synced and posted to Stryd and Strava before you even finish your cool down. This is total future feels. The new Beta workout features some work needs to be done but they admit it’s still in beta. Making interval training easier and with audio feedback when you need to pick up the pace your previously laps of the track can now be out in the real world. I’d rather be running down a country lane instead of 100 meter forward, 100 meter turn, 100 meter forward, 100 meter turn… repeat repeat repeat. Great work, keep it up. The beta components and changes in the app need more testing before making their way to the iOS and Apple Watch apps. That’s my only criticism. A full crash mid beta workout run because my watch hit an auto pause due to traffic should have shown up in their tests..Version: 4.29

I am enjoying the new UI update on the Apple WatchLove that you can customize the data screens..Version: 7.9.6

Love the new storylines, butExcellent new storylines video gen feature, but for longer runs it doesn’t work as the run goes so fast that it’s off the screen! If you correct this it can replace relive, which would be brilliant..Version: 4.22

More useful than the running shoes it clips on!!Stryd is an awesome piece of equipment, calling it a footpod is an insult to this piece of sophisticated but simple to use equipment. How it does what it does, knows what it knows and calculates like it does is totally beyond me. It is 100% accurate out of the box which sadly made 99% of my previous running times incorrect as I was using gps and a Garmin Fenix 5 with Garmin footpod outside and a treadmill inside, I discovered due to my Stryd the treadmill speed was 17% incorrect. Running with power is excellent, knowing your power is excellent but also knowing leg spring stiffness, running stress, vertical oscillation, and critical power is fantastic. The app is great, the web based power Centre is great. I would never give up my Stryd. Well done Stryd team on this piece of science I clip onto my laces 😃👍.Version: 5.7

Wish I owned one of these 20 years ago!The STRYD power meter has gasified my runs and energized me to get out the door. I may not be able to put in the distance or speed that I once did, but STRYD helps manage the workloads. Thanks!.Version: 5.9.1

Best running app for iwatch!Besides the hardware itself, Stryd beings and awesome app that made iwatch good enough for running (may need external HRM though), and a phenomenal online platform for monitoring your fitness and other key parameters..Version: 5.6.5

SpectacularI can’t say enough about how much I love my Stryd after 2 months of use. The device itself is small, neat and simple. Battery life is awesome (weeks). The big news is how much running with power has transformed my running. I’m a keen recreational runner and can hold a heart rate (or pace). But I had no idea how much there is to gain by holding a power level. Slow up the hills, fast back down them. My times have improved significantly while my effort is whatever I want it to be (just choose the power). The run time estimates are scary accurate. And I’ve learnt to trust the recommended power levels (if I want to hit a PR) - run at the recommended power level and I’ll still be OK at the other end! To top it off the apps (iPhone, Apple Watch, web) are brilliant. They look great, are easy to use and have hugely detailed analytics. My only initial complaint was that the watch app didn’t support always on display, but that was fixed in a big recent update. Oh and Stryd’s customer support is excellent: they’ve been very happy to answer all my dumb questions. Just brilliant..Version: 7.9.8

New Apple Watch app ❤️❤️❤️I’ve been a Stryd subscriber from the beginning - taking full advantage of the structured workouts and custom training plans. The new watch app has freed me from pre checking daily workouts on my mobile phone. I leave the phone behind and get out the door. The clean and clear watch interface (easy on the eyes) allows me to track progress and stay in the zone during workouts of varied interval lengths - from simple to complex workouts. Thank you!.Version: 7.9.6

Stryd App had come a long wayThe app is has become a better place to review your Stryd data than desktop..Version: 5.9.6

Good running app that keeps getting betterFirst of all the Stryd app has been 100% reliable on my phone and my watch since it arrived. The layout, customisation, and look of the app are of really high quality. Stryd gives you a fantastic snapshot of your running history and current capability which is perfect for the app. The run tagging allows you to organise runs and you can easily filter similar runs to compare them with ease. The trainer distance tracker is a welcome addition to. You can deep dive into data on Stryd Powercenter if you need analyse performances in greater detail. To improve the app I would add a couple of bits of functionality. Firstly if I was Stryd I’d integrate structured workouts into the app rather than relying on a third party integration. Whilst the functionality TrainingPeaks adds is very good and allows for complex workouts to be built which I’m grateful to have by the way, it’s cumbersome to have to log into another app and build a workout on the day of the run with their free account, only their paid accounts allow you to plan runs in advance. This adds unnecessary friction to going out for a run. When you get up at 6am to do a workout you just want to get on with it rather than have to open your laptop up to custom build your session. Secondly, I would like add an additional screen which has a pause / resume run button, as well as an end run button. Force touch is unreliable and sometimes just fails to work altogether in my experience, the only other way to end a run is to force quit the Stryd app which is a sub optimal to end a run. Since I’ve had my Stryd pod the company has regularly added features and improved the apps on both the phone and watch. It’s been getting better and better and long may that continue..Version: 5.8.2

Heart Rate SupportHi, Could you add support for external heart rate sensor? Thx.Version: 7.13.0

3 stars until the app starts recording HR!Currently no HR being recorded no matter what the weather is like. App is getting better and better but please fix this ASAP. Cheers, Nick.Version: 4.26

Good, could be greatRecording functionality on my XR is flaky at best—runs auto-cancel if the pod loses connectivity and don’t restart automatically, meaning I can’t trust this app as my only data source (I don’t have a Stryd compatible watch). Import functionality is great though and the metrics/analytics are very cool. This isn’t an issue for me anymore as I upgraded to a watch that can handle power so I just import from that source to the Stryd app. Other problem I find is I can’t start a training plan. Just a nameless error that the app “couldn’t add the plan”.Version: 6.0.1

Great so farA few runs in and the Stryd has been game changing. I’ve been running for many years and have never been so consistent throughout the duration of a run. Can’t wait to keep moving forward with Stryd..Version: 5.7.2

Stryd amazing running techThe device itself... superb The support from its developers and staff superb (especially in Facebook group) The app is regularly updated which is great, but the website version IS better. Understandable given the additional stuff you can do in web design versus app design..Version: 5.6.3

AccuracyI train quite precisely and created a chart from intervals to figure out how many watts for what race distances I’d need. Stryd just opened up its algorithm to all users showing race predictions and watts for them. The chart I made was within 0.007% accuracy of the algorithm. For example I thought 360 watts for 5k and it said 364. I had 350 for 10k and it had the same. This has me completing trusting this tech so much more now. This is an absolutely fantastic piece of tech. I had no idea how any serious runner wouldn’t have one..Version: 7.14.5

The app is still crashing even after 7.13.1Stryd app crashing..Version: 7.13.1

Like Riding a BikeI have been a runner since childhood, but have spent most of my adult training riding bikes. I always used power due to the lag of heart rate and the failure if it to take elevation, wind, and other factors into consideration. Training with power is the only way to ensure your training correctly on the bike a and why should rubbing be any different? Stryd works great for generating a power number to train to and makes treadmill running more accurate than ever. I’m enjoying in so much this winter than I have hardly touched the bike. Stryd is making me stronger by the week..Version: 5.6.5

Great training deviceI’ve enjoyed using my Stryd over the past few months. I rarely look at my other metrics any more and I feel like my training has become more consistent now that I’m looking at power vs everything else. It’s expensive but worth it..Version: 7.8.1

Watch update ui 👍🏻I’ve never been a fan of the ui for the Watch app but the latest update is a huge improvement. 👍🏻👍🏻.Version: 7.9.6

Great Running Tool! The Stryd foot pod is one of the investments I ever made. The stryd team is outstanding as they keep evolving the ability of running with power. Keep up the great work!.Version: 7.8.1

Works great!I’m sure more features will come in the future, but for an app as young as it is, this is really great. Has the basics and a few great features, and haven’t come across a single bug. My hope is that it keeps its simplicity, and avoids all the extra fluff some others put in. And also, hope it stays free and ad-free. I mean, the Stryd pod was expensive enough. (but worth it!).Version: 5.9.6

Penomenal app and deviceI’ve been training with Stryd for a year now. I used to run 15-20k per week; I now run 50-60. My race times improved tremendously: Went from 50th percentile to 25th. Stryd is especially helpful if you run in wind or on hills. Highly recommend the whole system..Version: 5.7

Great metric trackingStryd quietly learns all that there is to know about your running and then really encourages you to push yourself with the race calculator feature. Great device and the app is coming along nicely!.Version: 5.6.3

Transformed this old man’s runningAt 54, I needed a new approach to maintaining my zeal for middle-distance running beyond pace and HR Zones. Stryd’s power based approach has completely re-energized me. One number encompassing total output has optimized my training across short, long, interval, hill, and other runs. A fantastic Apple Watch app, iPhone app, and incredibly responsive customer service, make Stryd a must have for any runner. But wait... there’s more. Two weeks of battery life between charges! The new Stryd also takes wind resistance into account when running, whether the wind’s at your back or blowing into your face. Amazing and useful tech..Version: 5.6.2

Great DeviceStryd’s ability to track a run exceeds GPS tracking, in addition to vital metrics needed for running improvements. Something that I’ve not seen mentioned is Stryd’s protein suggestion. I struggle at getting enough protein in my diet and I thought it interesting that Stryd assessed one of my fatigue areas to be protein deficient..Version: 5.9.1

CoolPerhaps 2x Bluetooth connections.Version: 6.3.3

Shin splints gone!Running to power really makes sense, and takes into account the elevation and effort put in to achieve. Simply put, staying within a power range stops you from setting out to fast and getting injured. Stryd has helped me finally find the right balance and to run injury free at last 😎.Version: 7.0

Newer runnerWhen I was forced out of the office 13 months ago and told to work from home, I got the COVID crazies. I vowed to dedicate my former commute time to my own health. At first I couldn’t run a mile, so I just walked with a backpack. I added weight to the backpack as I lost weight. After I had lost 65 lbs and the backpack was getting heavy I started running. No plan no strategy, just sort Forest Gumped it. After getting stricken with the running bug I wanted an easy to use tool that told me how I was doing and planned out my runs for me without over exerting myself. A friend of mine told me all about his stryd pod so I thought I’d try it out. It took me a while to mentally transition from pace to power, but once I did the mileage started going up. If you told me a year ago That I could easily manage to run 60 MPW in a managed way that pushed my fitness further without injury I’d think you were crazy. I am now getting ready for my first full Marathon and where prior to acquiring the stryd pod I stressed over strategy and pace, I now just let the pod tell me my strategy and I just need to execute on what it tells me I can do! Love it!.Version: 6.4.2

Really promising upgrades! This app basically makes the Apple Watch a contender with Garmin for running. The addition of structured workouts and training plans is huge. I’d love to have the ability to create workouts in the app..Version: 6.0.3

Great to see power realtimeHave a good experience in using Stryd on my runs. Also happy with how the Feedback on Facebook works!.Version: 6.1

Most useful running app on the watchStryd app continues to evolve which shows that the company cares about the users. While an argument could be made about the usefulness of power metrics, especially on different kind of terrain, I attach Stryd to my shoes every run just to be able to get a clean, configurable display of all the metrics I care about, including pace, with a wealth of information in the app on the phone, or on the web..Version: 6.0.2

Super application et instrument précisJ’adore Stryd depuis presque 3 ans 🙋🏻‍♂️🙋🏻‍♂️🙋🏻‍♂️🙋🏻‍♂️.Version: 6.2.1

Fantastic Stryd software and supportImpressed with support for Polar and Garmin running watches ( in addition to other brands ). Support team is responsive and very helpful..Version: 5.6.4

Worked great until watchOS 6As of watchOS 6, workouts are semi broken. When you start the workout, the screen is partially obscured by the text “get ready” for the whole workout. The workout still works, but you can’t see your current power..Version: 5.3

Loving itGreat product love the data.Version: 5.6.4

Big gainsTried running by RPE (fail: depending on work stress effected my RPE) / tried running by HR (fail: if I crawl I can hit my zones) tried pace (fail: running up hill is hard to keep the pace). So working with power I have seen a significant gains in my runs and consistent improvement. I have never been a runner, couldn’t run a mile to save my soul. Not at 51, I can call my self a runner (not a fast one :)) but a runner..Version: 7.14.9

They work so hard to make it better everydayGreat app and continuously updated and they listen to feedback of users.Version: 6.0.4

Aug 14 update has broken Apple Watch ComplicationStryd is great generally. RSB Apple Watch complication doesn’t always display now or goes awol for long periods. Also when will there be a one touch “stop” button for races? The hard press then X is clumsy when you have crossed a finish line and doesn’t always work when you’re all sweaty..Version: 7.1.6

Great product, great service, and great results for this totally blind runnerThere is so many benefits to running with Power, and even more benefits for me, and getting accessible formats to many data points that will help guide my running. The Apple Watch application, using voiceover gives me everything I could hope to achieve, and when there have been accessibility challenges, the STRYD team has been very attentive and dedicated to making solutions. I cannot say enough good about all aspects of this product. Thank you STRYP..Version: 7.14.4
