✓ My new obsessionAs a long time amateur photographer I have often wished I had the talent to turn my love of landscapes, florals, and still lifes into Impressionist "masterpieces". ✓ DesignerI loaded this app about two hours ago and I cannot leave it alone! The effects are way beyond my expectations...amazing! Would be great if you could tweak the saturation of color, to give more of a dry brush effect, but that is so minor in comparison to how dynamic my images look. This really duplicates impressionism, when using the right type of photo. Definitely worth the small investment..Version: 1.03

✓ A Dream AppThere is so much to love about this impressionist paint/art editing app! It's easy to use, has options to tweak the preset styles, and is consistent in its heartiness (no crashing, everything works without fuss). My hesitation to giving 5 stars is that I wish for various brush types like rough, wet, dry, and controlled angle (which I'm sure with updating could turn this app into a "world's best" for the style). ✓ Simply good!Complicated photos with lots of detail do not work as well as simple subjects.....for example. A vase of flowers. A single person. A close up. Simplicity is the secret with all painting whether electronic, or for real in the studio. Give me a piece of paper and some pencils or paints and and real brushes and I could knock spots of this app. Good effort though,but it's 'false' isn't it? Fake art,no skill needed, and no soul. Lots of ways to tweak it & have gotten results very similar to my results. They look like honest to goodness paintings. The best one I've seen so far! Now I need this company to come up with a realistic watercolor effects app. Haven't found one that is satisfactory yet. I use this app to break down all the fine details in a photograph to keep me from getting caught up in just making a recreation of a photo. ✓ Great app for an impressionistic feel..What I like best is the ability for almost limitless customization of the effects and the ability to save presets after tuning them. I'd give it five stars if there was a way to turn off the default (apparent) that means there is a white border that must be turned off for EVERY effect if one wants paint all the way to the edge of the canvas..Version: 1.3.1
