Disketch Plus Pros

✓ Disketch Plus 3I cannot find fault with this app as it does what it says on the tin. Probably not the most intuitive app but once you get to grips with it it works fine. There is a huge amount of templates and layouts so you will not be stuck, and there seems to be every conceivable label type catered for. It also has clip art etc and some advanced features. What is most impressive it that it prints precisely; I am amased at how a lot of these label apps seem to manage to miss the label! All in all I am pleased with the purchase and I don’t think others will be disappointed. However, it will take a few goes to get used to it - so practice on blank paper first so as not to waste labels..FulksmanVersion: 3.41

✗ Printing is a nightmareThe editing side of the app is OK. When it comes to printing to a CD, then there are problems. Firstly the template for my printer (Canon MP990) is wrong and prints offset from the disc centre. Secondly when I found out how to adjust the settings (by experimentation and several blank CDs later) there is no way of storing the new setting, changes to the print settings are not recognised as changes to the file. Thirdly the “export template” function which I hoped would store the new settings just gives a “file failure “ message with no clues as to why. Fourthly the print function require you to go through printer selection, media selection, etc, every time you want to print - and if you are printing on 50 CDs as I am, then this is a complete pain in the proverbial. And fifthly, the app suddenly crashed with a sort of blinking screen when trying to print, and had to be ‘Force quit’ed. Clearly a not very well tested app..Mike@HudsonVersion: 4.00

✗ VERY LIMITEDYou can create text and even curve the text to the CD or DVD edges but there are many fonts that dont work with this program. And you can't edit images in any way other than rotate or change the aspect. You can't change the opacity of images. You also have a limited selection of printers that this works with. It's a very limited app especially for the money. It's worh about $3..JazzricoVersion: 4.03
