Blocked me for no reason (I didn’t do anything against the terms of use) and when I tried to contact them to understand what exactly happened or is going on they never got back to me, and I have emailed numerous time’s. They just sent an email that I was blocked because I was impersonating someone (which I wasn’t and I sent them proof) but they never got back to me. Every time I’m in the “people who swiped right on me” section and swipe left on one of the profiles to remove them, when I go to the next profile it shows me the one I already swiped left on, again! Also, the list of people that swiped right on you should show the same way the main swiping page shows, as in I should be able to swipe left or right on them quickly and it should take me to the next profile rather than having to click on each specific profile individually. I have over 100 people who have swiped right on me and I can’t get the number down because it takes so long to get through them, because 1) the app is glitchy and keeps showing the same profiles I already swiped left on and 2) the interface doesn’t allow me to quickly swipe left or right on them. ✓ It’s getting better - slowlyWhat will drive you absolutely crazy, and eventually force you to switch off notifications, is Muzz sending several marketing messages a week via the app. You get a notification, you log on, excited, and it’s a quirky marketing (or political) message in your Muzz inbox that you have absolutely zero interest, and time, to read. It seems nearly everyone switches off their notifications because of this. Which means people check Muzz extremely infrequently. The other issue is the photo policy. There’s no creative control on the photos. It has to be front facing. ✓ Glitchy and MisogynisticMatches are hidden from you consistently. Opening the app I would routinely find profiles that ‘liked’ me with the date stating 2 years ago, 1 year ago, etc. (within my filter range; not people who ‘aged in’). They stated it was a glitch and never fixed. Women’s profile photos constantly being deleted/profile flagged for review when nothing is changed. They would state it was a glitch, that nothing was wrong with the profile, and the next morning the same issue would appear, and photos deleted again. Whereas HUNDREDS of men’s profiles are unclear, wearing sunglasses, or simply a screen shot if a random image, with profiles filled with random letters and emojis, with no issue. Update: I opened the app every single day for a week and my profile was flagged saying my primary photo wasn’t clear for their guidelines—, I contacted customer service, they reviewed and saw *my photo was clear, just me, and did not violate any rules* they apologized and called it a glitch . 24 hrs later my photo was deleted and the app said the same thing, that my primary photo wasn’t clear. ✓ Inconsistent and money hungryI can see why so many people slate this app. Inconsistent with their search feature, bugs that stop you from updating your profile. More recently swapped my main image to one of the other images that had previously been approved to now have my profile rejected because the photo isn’t approved. Even though it was before. Too concerned with being super dramatic with a forced name change rather than maintaining consistent quality of the app. For example even if you make a minor update on your profile (like adding a full stop) your profile automatically gets “rejected” and placed under review. ✓ Good App.. Some IssuesThe profile section is great, and easy to use. Picture verification is good- no weird profiles on the app. Also allows for videos/audio on profiles which is great. Icebreaker prompts, and other sections on the app are cool. The app goes down for maintenance randomly (so you’re unable to log in), for hours at times. Understandably this may need to happen on the odd occasion, however this has happened twice over the last few weeks. Very disruptive, no prior notice from Muzz and the second time there was no email acknowledgment of this happening. Being a Gold member & paying for the membership isn’t particularly worth it- allows you to be ‘boosted’ & to like/unlike people after you initially do so. No other real benefits. The notifications section isn’t the best, to be constantly shown 99+ notifications because people are visiting your profile is unnecessary. Would be better if notifications were only if you had a message or match. At the very least, the option to choose which notifications in settings would be helpful. They said it must be through Apple so you have to go back to them but there was nothing in subscriptions on Apple. It only allows you to swipe limitless ( more than half of the profiles are hidden anyway ) but won’t be able to message someone unless they like you back first . I even used the gold membership and still shows a lot of fake profiles. I narrowed down my search to people with Persian ethnicity and you can easily tell the profiles are fake because none of the names are Persian or even some of the looks.
