SubMOA for Positive User Reviews

Hard to useHad a quick play around with the app, reading the user manual it’s not the easiest app to use. It’s not intuitive to use as such. Perhaps I’ve just not delved deep enough into it. There is scope for this to be a great app, but for a download and go sort of app it takes a bit more understanding than it allows. ***UPDATE*** After fiddling around with it a bit, I’ve figured it out and it’s fantastic! Once you’ve selected a reference size using the ruler icon and selected the two points but zooming right in on the picture it sets perfectly. If you have the bullet diameter set also it’ll give you the correct size holes. All you need to do is be zoomed in all the way to add points, and it’s flawless! Glad I stuck with it!.Version: 4.8

SubMOA free. Export to photo roll doesn’t work in version downloaded 6/23/22Export to photo roll doesn’t work on free version downloaded 6/23/22.Version: 5.3

GreatSimple and easy, added manual helps navigating..Version: 4.5.1

Most useful shooting analysis app I’ve usedThe powerful function provided by this app including MOA calculation, POI analysis and documenting shooting history are super useful. This is a combination of function I couldn’t find on any other similar app..Version: 4.5.1

Great app!Excellent, just need a little IQ to figure it out :).Version: 4.8

Red circle and X don’t drop where I want them.Great app! I have one issue. When I go to use the ruler, where ever I try and place my X, the red X appears much lower than my intended spot. Same goes with marking the circles in the target. I hover the green circle over the hole in the target, but the red circle drops much lower than I need it to be. Can you help fix my problem?.Version: 4.8

No editYou should be able to cycle through groups and edit but it doesn’t work..Version: 5.1

Best I know of.You can do what this does by hand but it’s time consuming. Thus app marks your shots and gives you group sizes. Interface could be more intuitive but it’s the best app for the purpose I’ve found..Version: 4.5.1

Great App hard to learnOnce you learn to do the following, it’s great: 1. Measure your target from 2 points (I use rings) in mm 2. Mark your target bull 3. Mark fall of shots 4. Edit Range / Rifle data 5. Display comments / sticky notes.Version: 5.0.1

Great app for shootersThis is not a shill review. I’ve been using SubMOA app for years and it does exactly what it should. I’m using it on an iPhone and it works well once you figure out how to manipulate the controls. It’s basic, it’s plain, it works with a little bit of brain power to figure it out. Please keep this app and keep improving it!.Version: 6.2

After a few days of getting frustrated…I'm using this app on an iPad. 1st- I could only get it to work in PORTRAIT Mode. 2nd- When trying good use the "ruler" if the RED Xs don't match up with where you had the GREEN cross hair, enlarge your target and it will put the RED X exactly where you have the GREEN cross hair, then set your dimension and use the GREEN cross hair to set your "Aim Point". 3rd- Once you have the 2nd step perfect, getting the "SHOT" placement should be right on. It took me many "trial and error" hours to get this all figured out but then found that the app is actually pretty good. Too bad their instructions are so unclear and sparse..Version: 4.8

Very Useful! It took me a while, but I finally figured out how to make full use of the app. It’s a wee bit buggy, but for a free app, I am certainly not complaining. This app is very useful for ascertaining the exact POI of your group and thereby leveraging the most consistent result from your firearm by sighting in 100% correctly. A rifle is easy to sight in when groups are small cloverleafs. However, when things open up a bit and there are “flyers” involved, it is a little more difficult to nail down your exact POI. This app makes quick work of figuring that out, and has quite a few extremely useful features hidden under the hood if you have the patience to fully learn how to use all of the features of the app. I’m really impressed!.Version: 4.5.1

Great app and easy to useJust watch the videos on YouTube it's simple love how quick it is to get info on my groups just get it and spend some time to figure it out.Version: 4.0

ExcellentGreat free app Does everything I could ask and super intuitive to use Thank you very much.Version: 4.8

All This For Free!Really nice and super useful. Many thanks to the developer for providing such a good tool, I can’t imagine how many hours has gone into developing and maintaining this. Check out Sultan Aiko’s delightful YouTube video “How to use the SUBMOA App” and all will become clear. While I wouldn’t mind paying the 15$ for its venerable competitor, I don’t want to have to log in to use that app or pay a subscription fee to be able to have multiple groups on one target and get mean radius results. This app gives you all that for free!.Version: 5.0.1

GreatMight be a bit tricky to figure out but great app. And yes it does calculate group size and analyze poi..Version: 5.0
