✓ Over promised and under deliveredPro app so called detailed report gives less detail than I could get in many a free app. Windspeed stuck in meters per second. A total disappointment. Advertised as free but useless without a dollar a month upgrade. "The number of the details is more important then the quality of the details"? This is a false dichotomy. You can have more data points that are accurate without claiming it's just too hard. Weatherbug, big sky, or a backyard weather station all spank you. ✓ BadReally, really bad. I know it’s free, however coming from Dark sky to this simple thing….I can stick my nose out the door and pretty much get the same results. Then to add insult to injury, to receive any features worthy of a weather app, payment must be received….features that you get free from government sources no less. Dudes, I smell ripoff in the air. Shame on Apple for discontinuing Dark Sky and trying to slide us into this sham. Even the Rain Alert feature doesn’t work. There’s also no watch app, no hourly forecasts, and the five day forecast is only a rough guide - an icon and temperature range - and inaccurate. I paid for one month, tried the premium features, and then immediately cancelled it. Waste of money. ✓ Project has been abandoned*update* a recent non-update was released that adds nothing other than a new version number to not kicked off the App Store due to the project being abandoned. I wouldn't expect another update for multiple years. Please continue to avoid this app and developer. Do not download. ✓ It's a good start but...I finally downloaded this app and purchased it because radar was added. Unfortunately the radar is not good at all. It always loads in temp mode and then switching to precip mode is extremely slow. Sometimes I can't even get the radar to load to show me the rain/snow. ✓ Outstanding Craftsmanship and UsabilityWeatherKit has an exquisite, beautiful design and layout. The ability to choose between two data sources based on personal preference! The map is excellent, and the layers available are dependent on what data source you select. The alert for rain is very helpful, as well as the ability to add glances for other areas. I signed up for the free trial to see how good the "military grade" radar was, but we're currently in the middle of a large pocket of rain and the precipitation layer is completely empty. ✓ Not worth $1.99/month1. The radar map is not time lapsed as far as I can tell. Inexcusable in this day and age. And the style of the map seems to come from a 1970 rand McCally road atlas. At least it has color. 2. When looking ahead in the forecast to even the next day. You can not get any details. Just precipitation type and high/low temperatures. 3. When looking at the current days forecast it offers limited trending as concerns humidity, precipitation amount etc. Again all this data is available.
