✓ Buy it! Beat Stauf again, for the first time!This game is still as enjoyable from a nostalgic perspective as it is for a first time viewing. The amount of effort and love put into this game back in the day still shows. This was early CD ROM days, you guys. They had a full score on MIDI! ✓ Good reproduction of the originalA little pricey by modern app standards but still worth it in my opinion. Still a lot less than when the game was new and at least this time you know it’ll work on your hardware and you won’t be heading out to buy a new cd drive, ram or sound card etc! Another review said the game was full of bugs, these appear to have been fixed in my opinion having just played the game from start to finish. Everything is as I remember it from the original release, and it's just as...moody. :) One request: in the CD ROM release I had the music including the extra tracks (feat Cotton Mather IIRC). Being able to play a 1gb version of 7th Guest on a handheld device that performs faster and smoother than the original would blow my 1994 mind LOL. I wish that the original models could have been used to render a free 3d environment instead of the pre-rendered scenes, and remastering the cut scenes would be great, too. ✓ Great game, sound issuesThis is a great haunted house puzzler, revolutionary when it first came out (and yes, I played it back then). It’s hardly fair to compare graphics, video and sound technology across decades - those seem primitive now. It’s the concept (creepy back story, then immersion with clever puzzles that provide more creepy video clues about the over-arching mystery) that makes this classic worth spending a few hours on, 25+ years later. One MAJOR snag, unfortunately: The game works fine on my old iPad 2 (10.3.4) and iPhone 6s (13.6), but I can’t get ANY sound on my iPad Pro 12.9” 3d generation (13.5.1). I suspect that it’s using a sound library/API that was deprecated at some point after OS 10 for iPad?? The device obviously has something to do with it, since it does work on my iPhone - don’t know about the newer iPhones, though! I hope that the author tackles this - please!! - it will be a shame if nobody can enjoy this on any newer, larger screen..OrbRemsyVersion: 1.0.2

✓ Don’t have device on silent!Great old nostalgia piece. From what I’ve played so far, this is that old, gothic, brilliant, trendsetting puzzle game from the 90s on par with Myst. One apparent star loosing glitch appears to be with the audio. If your device is on silent, then the game has no audio. There is an inherent logic there, but apps will sound audio regardless of device silent setting (ie Zoom). If this is how iOS and iPadOS handle audio files these days, fine, but it seems there should be some faq relating to that, if the “glitch” is unfixable..Jeff 1987Version: 1.0.2

✓ Sound issue can be fixed!I was hesitant to get this since seeing all the reviews that say there’s no sound, but I got it and have played it at least 10 times now, and the sound is actually there! Sometimes if I go to a different room sometimes, the sound cuts out, but it’s fixed just by going to another room again. But usually, the sound is absolutely perfect! I’m using ipados 14.1 if anyone wonders. Awesome game! 5 stars!.IanJ78Version: 1.0.2
