✓ Okay when it worksThe discontinued hub I could give a pass, but just go to Acurite’s own website and read the slew of complaints for the ‘Access’ replacement. Drops signal, folks couldn’t order new device with promised discount online. Support is impossible to reach because so many are in queue. I received my 5 in 1 as a gift around 3 years ago so I haven’t wasted any money on it. It only worked well for 6 months then fan went out. Was sent upgraded dual solar panel fan housing and it only worked for 3 weeks then the only way fan would spin is if you had it apart and flicked it with your finger to start it running. So in the summer it gets to 115 indicated. And so it’s for this kind of poor technology and service that we’re supposed to support the dismantling of NOAA to make way for private weather companies?!?!?! How many Acurite customers have failed to stop exporting their data when found to be inaccurate?.Version: 3.1.2

✓ Still absolute garbage!!!So...l where do I start? The horrible choice of colours? The unreliable hardware? The terrible customer support? The ridiculous scaling of graphs? (My faves are the wind speed that goes to -1 and a temperature graph that has TWO -6) The insane averaging that’s absolutely meaningless? The stupid time scales? The terrible spinner for selecting graphs? This app should be used in schools to illustrate how NOT to wrote an app and design a user interface! I thought the first version of this mess from AcuRite was bad, but their total update is far worse. This company is totally and completely clueless. It’s just horrendously BAD and updates don’t fix any of the fundamental issues..Version: 3.1.0
✓ Not easyAcuRite you have got to step up the game. Customers are paying possibly over 100 bucks for certain weather stations. There needs to be an easier way than this. I have a college degree in a more than capable of doing general connections. 1) can’t share with weather underground. Multiple attempts 2) app crashes 3) LCD display drops internet connection. (I have a strong Internet connection to the display) 4) customer support where are you. Only option is email (wow) and live chat. The good off the initial is that the censor is talking to display and I received all parts. This is an absolute struggle. Willing to give more stars once connected. Added extra star we have connection and finally sharing with weather-underground. After I gave up it connected. Once connected it has been a reliable connection..Version: 3.4.7
✓ Convert to on phone alertsNice app however recommend converting to on phone rather than on weather station alerts. Would prefer one person rather than the whole house be notified of a weather event. Would also avoid having to reset the weather station after the unwanted alert was disabled on the phone but wouldn’t silence on the device itself..Version: 3.4.6
✓ I don’t know what to make of thisI currently have the newer access device, and the older smart hub running. The smart hub works fine, always reporting accurate rainfall. However, the access device has recently started reporting “ghost” rainfall, i.e. rainfall that hasn’t happened. For example, it has reported 1.6” so far today(it’s now 8:18 AM), and we have had NO RAIN TODAY..Version: 3.2
✓ Absolute garbage! Unable to add stationSave your money. But another brand! I am a tech guy and this station brand new out of the box would never sync with accurite’s app. Had to use weather underground until their API broke. Now this is a worthless weather station for remote monitoring purposes. Shame on you Accurite! Fix your iris weather stations or offer people a refund or upgrade because this is egregious!!!! ✓ Kinda hmmMy sensor unit works well. My indoor display works well. The app, not so much. It displays the same temperature constantly and most of the other info, also. My wife upgraded so that I would be able to check the weather when we were traveling. Nope. Doesn’t work..Version: 3.5.4
✓ Update: could be betterThe equipment and graphics are pretty ok! Even if I refresh my app, the internet bridge only communicates information every three minutes or so. This is the opposite of helpful for things like wind gusts, which is one of the things I looked forward to the most when I got this setup. It’ll report on the at-home display, but the app misses so many wind gusts due to infrequent reporting. I would love to see an option like using more battery life in exchange for more frequent data updates on the app, but I’m not optimistic... I’m strongly considering changing brands of weather station for a setup that will provide more frequent updates. I really want more frequent updates on the app and the ability to pick imperial or metric for each reading on the app. If you’re interested in temps, rainfall, and a few other readings, this is the app and weather station for you. If you’re interested in wind like me, don’t get this equipment or app..Version: 3.2
✓ Nothing good to say about thisMy goodness, where to begin. I’m sorry if you bought hardware for this already. The sensors have no way of identifying one from the other so make sure you only add batteries one at a time otherwise you’ll know which one is which. Very slow process. Very slow refresh. Support is not great. I wanted to call for help. That doesn’t exist. Just a chat function. I had to add a second hub because the range it say is not accurate. Then I had to delete everything and redo it all one by one again. I thought I was doing to wrong. That is what tech support told me to do. So bad. ✓ TerribleHow could they make getting info and looking at charts any more cumbersome and useless? I have no idea. Instead of showing the temperature data in a regular type graph, they split it into two lines, one for high temps, one for low temps. Who thinks this stuff up? Ever seen a data point graph over time? Just do that. Also WeatherUnderground gets my data, but this app and acurite website constantly has several hours where no data shows up every day and spits out email warnings even though they are getting data. Been through nightmare that is acurite “support” and they are useless and have no clue. Using new Access hub. This entire service is a waste of time now, and doesn’t work..Version: 3.2

✓ App is OK but missing so featuresSetup was pretty easy but the Wi-Fi took a bit to update. Also the date/time sync should pull from with internet instead of manually using to set it up. They really need a Widget for the IOS Home Screen. It’s kinda ridiculous that I have to open the app to see the PWS information. I’d be great to have it on the home screen just available to view. ✓ Zero loyalty to customersThey discontinued support for their older HARDWARE forcing you to buy new equipment to be able to use this app. Garbage company. Then I got an email saying they warned us. Well big deal. It’s like buying a car and then the manufacturer says they will disable the car but I can “update” my car by buying a new one. That’s pure BS. ✓ Lost connectionApp used to work great, but about 2 weeks ago it went out and has not worked since. Tried signing out and back in, deleting the app and re installing it.... unplugging the devices and then powering them back on... nothing.... So the product is 3 years old and is obsolete. Not at all acceptable. Look at all the poor reviews and the fact that you can no longer get ahold of people via phone. I am sure there is some BS excuse there too. Had I known when I was purchasing this that in 3 years it would be rendered useless I would have never purchased it. I would have looked else ware. Now you want me to purchase more of your product. ✓ Never works anymoreToo bad, it used to be great. They forced those of us who have used acurite equipment forever to upgrade to their latest garbage equipment. Now this app never updates or shows any activity on any of the sensors. All sensors show RED Bars. It shows: “Excellent Signal to Sensor”, and “OFFLINE”. Why is it OFFLINE? That is on their end, not mine. I can’t get it to go back online, and the only thing that has changed is adding this new “Access” Hub. ✓ Not supporting my brand new weather stationI’m writing this review less than one year following the purchase of my weather station. The app was great when it was supported but now the weather station I own is no longer supported by the app. They want me to buy another app for over $100. I can’t even monitor my house temp when I’m away. This is a warning to any who plan to purchase a 5 in 1. Very sad. I won’t be buying a second 5 in 1 for my camp now. First you need to sign up and tell them your location and postal code, provide device if and then it will maybe tell you some of the info that Apple weather app is already telling you. ✓ 24-Hour Rainfall History NonsensicalThe 24-hour rainfall history, in Charts, doesn't make sense. The purpose of a 24-hour look-back is to see the total rainfall accumulation of that time period, from the time the information is requested. The chart displays "total" and "high" amounts. The total figure displays the amount of rainfall from midnight of the day the information is requested, not the total rainfall of the previous 24-hour period. The "high" figure displays the total amount in the 24-hour period -- that doesn't make any sense. Unless you're wanting the most rainfall in a smaller timeframe within that 24-hour period, an hour, for example, "high" is illogical. It's merely a problem in the algorithm of the chart, for the previous 24 hours. Also, at midnight of the 24-hour rainfall history, the rainfall amount drops to zero. Again, illogical. The graph should display an accumulation in a 24-hour period -- assuming there was rain prior to midnight. This should be a simple problem to fix. Additionally, there appears to be no other way to communicate this type of issue to the app developers, other than by means of an app review..Version: 3.5.4

✓ Just throw you $$ away instead.Got one of these accurate units for Christmas in 2018. Worked great for a few months and I could check my home weather from work and around the globe. Then in ~April 2019 Accurite made a brilliant decision to stop all support for the existing unit and launch a new one. The ability to log onto the app and see weather conditions at home disappeared, and instead I was told to spend $150+ on a new system because the company decided to stop supporting the old version. I’ll never support a company like this, as my system is virtually worthless now. Their technical support is a joke s you can’t even get to talk to someone. This type of behavior should land their leadership team on the street with no job or better yet in jail for fraudulent behavior..Version: 3.2.4
✓ Apple Watch access needed.So far I’ve been happy with this application. It’s had its shortcomings and most of my complaints have already been discussed and most answered. ✓ Ignores Metric settingsUpdate: I haven’t used this app in well over a year because of all the bugs but I saw an update so thought I would give it a try. I opened the app and had to sign in, I click on the username field and then try to paste my email address in. The window goes away. It is not possible to even log in! This is on an iPhone XR if that makes a difference. I guess I’ll won’t be able to see if they fixed any of the bugs I reported below a long tine ago. Original review below If you are set for Metric the app displays the temperature in Celsius but displays the heat index in Fahrenheit. The program that runs on the PC is also very buggy. Some days it refuses to send data to the server even though the device is connected. Other days it just crashes without warning. Then I get annoying emails telling me that I am not sending data even after I changed the settings to not email me. I'm almost ready to give up on this buggy software..Version: 3.3.0

Even more disturbing is that my rock solid data that went to weather underground is now spotty and intermittent. Lots of folks in the valley rely on this weather data to give them up to the minute important data to protect their gardens and plants from frost. The bottom line is that I'm sick and tired of companies releasing half finished crap and expecting paying users to be their beta testers. ✓ Loses connectionLately, this app loses connection to my devices (3). Then they appear, then they lose again. This used to work perfectly. I may have to remove app and reinstall, but then it is a royal pain to crawl under the house to get device numbers. One is on the roof which is on my no go list. Disappointing. ✓ Terrible AppI was unable to sign up for an account on the app. When I entered in my information, I kept getting a red banner below saying “Not Found.” So I signed up online, received the welcome email, and tried to login... not possible. I now get an error that my email is invalid. I tried to sign up again and same result. I reached out to support and have not heard anything. I only downloaded this piece of crap because the Ouray Ice Park suggested it. Good thing there are literally a hundred other weather apps out there. ✓ Killer updateHad my Sumter for over 3 years and worked great. I also feed in to Underground Weather with no problem. Since the last update my app will not update any readings and have a red low signal on both my weather station and lightning detector. Signal strength is good on both my weather station and lightning detector. Would of given this app 4 stars but now give it one since there isn’t much testing before they do a update and now I’m stuck with all this equipment and out a lot of money!.Version: 3.4.1
✓ Missing a lot of abilitiesThe app is missing a lot of important abilities like resetting all data and information back to 0, resetting individual readings, resetting lightening strikes. There is no Millibar option, recordings displays history options only offer a view range of “Today” “Last 24hrs” “Last 7days” etc. there should be the ability to pick whatever you want such as last two days or last 37 hours for example, and much more. The app itself only updates once ever 15 sec I think so you are not getting accurate information right away. The app is seriously lacking a lot of through into detail and beautification. It’s extremely simple and boring and very slow to react and load with nearly no settings or options to make anything work better for you. The weather stations such as the Atlas are collecting so much information that the app is just not using to it full potential in any way shape or form..Version: 3.4.6
✓ Doesn’t workAcu-Rite, in my opinion, used to be the best personal weather system you could buy. Lately, they are really not meeting the grade. I have tried on multiple occasions to get this app to recognize my unit. It will not. I keep getting the alert that my “device must be connected to the Internet and reporting data”. ✓ Formerly good resource neglectedWhen this application was first released, it had a few bugs, but they were quickly addressed by a US based support staff that were helpful and knowledgeable about the weather/environment instruments they supported. A user could download and view up to a year of data, and it was useful in troubleshooting issues around the home (eg HVAC problems, water leaks) Unfortunately, the parent company decided to pare down funding. There is no longer support for the instrumentation, only FAQ’s. The app can only support a few weeks of data (returning an error for longer time frames, even though the options for months and year still exist) and has not been updated in over a year. What used to be a resource I used daily has been neglected by its creator and I will be looking for a new, more robust system..Version: 3.5.1

✓ Difficult to hook up to Wi-FiThis is my second weather station. I found this Acurite device to be almost impossible to hook up to the Wi-Fi frustrating I would like to look up Weather data when I am out of town and I have not been able to figure it out. It seems to always have a poor signal and data never displays correct info. The base station thing that came with the first one works fine only the access device doesn’t. ✓ Access Keeps failingAcuRite Access goes offline and requires manual reset. Location is in a vacation home and not readily accessible when it’s 1000 miles away Nest thermostat at that location is available and does not require reset. AcuRite access needs new software so it can recover when satellite internet is interrupted due to weather outage. Needs to have auto restart after loss of signal for two hours or some duration that the user can specify..Version: 3.3.0
✓ Very DisappointedI am sorry to say but the AcuRite products and app are very disappointing. I have tried to use them for many years. The weather station never stays “connected” to the hub. Therefore, my data collection is useless. I have tried working with their Support, which too is disappointing. I have upgraded to the newest Hub and newest Atlas station. Neither work. I followed all troubleshooting, replaced batteries multiple times, rest hub, etc. Still, nothing is connected. Going to look into Davis Instruments. More expensive, but rock solid..Version: 3.4.1

A quick read of recent reviews suggests this is an ongoing problem. Went online to support, was 2nd in line in support chat. After waiting over 90 minutes I just gave up. ✓ Lot to be deiredUpdate: Still a terrible app. Glad to see last 24 hours but still beyond belief there is no yesterday option. The forecast is not good. Instead of adding days to it they should remove and give a yesterday option. There is no option to see yesterday! If you want to see rain total for yesterday or high low, you have to select custom and then select the day twice. Do not understand how they could make an app like that. Export does not export high/low each day. No ability to rearrange the order of sensors. Could be a really nice app. And no support for siri..Version: 3.0.36
✓ Pretty good app, but needs to offer IFTTT support.App is pretty good. Has a couple things that could be improved, but my main gripe is they don’t have support for IFTTT so you can trigger other connected things as a function of temp or humidity (like turn in a humidifier if the humidity dips below a set percentage). This would be relatively easy for them to add I would think. Charting beyond 31 days would also be nice, not sure why there are options for a year and “all time” if it can only chart up to 31 days? Similarly, why not let the user choose if they want to see actual time-based values vs high/low values in multi-day charts? In summary, some seemingly simple changes would make the app a lot more powerful. Update: the response on the charting from AcuRite has been that option beyond 31 days is there to access record data. Seems like it’s an opportunity to improve the intuitiveness of the interface. Until I read their explanation a few times I didn’t even realize record highs and lows were stored for longer, because the device only stores all datapoints for the last 31 days. That seems like a bit of a silly limitation as well..Version: 3.3.5
✓ App won’t add deviceI have had an Iris station for many years. All if the sudden the PC connect windows program crashes every time I open it. Re downlowaded it and nothing works. That made this app useless. I got an HD display as an upgrade and this app will not add my device. I can see it on Weather Underground just fine. I even emailed Acurite for help and got no response. ✓ Alerts could be smarter, charting could be betterI use the temperature sensors to monitor my refrigerator and freezer temperature. The alerts work well except I wish we could have the alert be a little smarter to allow you to set a threshold on how many sensor readings it takes before the alert is sent. Right now is anyone opens the fridge door my alert sometimes goes off even if the door was shut and was on the way of recovering. I also wish we had better control over the charting to allow you to zoom in more within the hour, etc..Version: 3.4.1

✓ OK weather monitoring, networking uselessI have had several Acurite products and they do a fair job. The 5 in 1 works well transmitting data to the 2 monitors I have. I purchased an additional monitor with PC Connect so I could view the data on my phone. After spending an hour and a half trying to set it up, and going through all of the troubleshooting instructions, I finally gave up. It simply doesn't work. I was never able to get data from the unit to my computer and upload to Weather Underground. The only thing that ever showed up was 'Sensor not detected' It is not worth the work, aggravation, and hassle. Will be looking at higher-end systems from other manufacturers. UPDATE: Thank you for the response; but, at this point, I have already wasted far too much time and energy trying to get it to work and don't have it in me to go through that again..Version: 3.3.3
✓ Need to have accurate location ability and changeable Alexa phraseSo far everything seems to be working fine. connection was fine. You need to be able to update the Alexa skill phrase. The assigned one is ridiculous, you should be able to set the phrase to your device name. When functionality is updated my review will be adjusted accordingly. Also, your country list is sadly lacking. Thankfully weather underground has good location information because the acurite app only covers a tiny tiny inadequate bit of the globe, and has absolutely no clue where my weather station is located, but wants me to share my weather. That is really questionable there for accuracy sake. As a weather reporting device you should allow a location from literally ANYWHERE on the globe..Version: 3.5.1
✓ Why no wind direction plotting/logging?The main reason I bought this is to monitor wind direction for our prescribed burning operations. The only way to see this data is to show it in real time. there is no way to plot historical wind direction. I don’t understand why this option is not offered as it is a basic data element of a weather station. Also I’m not sure why the drop down menu in the charts offers the options of “last year” and “all time” but then when you select them it says you can’t select anything longer than 31 days. Also the scaling of the axis on the graphs should be to whole integers and reasonable intervals. Please make these simple fixes.Version: 3.3.3

As an aviator in Canada I liked a mix of metric and imperial, but now it's only one or the other. ✓ Did they test this?The most this app has done for me is put an icon on my phone. It crashes within half a second of attempting to open. The last app was garbage and this one is somehow worse. Didn't actually think that was possible. For the amount you pay for he Acu-Link hub you figure they could afford a decent app programmer..Version: 1.0.3
