✓ Not a colonyAHD gives us a dictionary of American English (AE), not British. Thats appropriate and necessary. After all, although some Brits wont admit it, the growth of AE comes largely from sourced other than Britain. We are not their colony any more, if anything it nust the other way around. I suppose to get rid of this intrusion I’m to click and comply. I won’t do it, and so have to work past this dishonest, unethical scheme. ✓ ExcellentAlthough I used Webster’s Collegiate when I taught copyediting, I always told my university students that for other purposes, AH is the most useful dictionary out there—especially for its, biographical and geographical content, its usage notes, its supplementary essays, and its etymologies. As an iOS app, AH has a terrible history, but this version finally gets it right. And it’s graphically beautiful..Version: 10.0.10
