✓ Pretty good appPretty good app free version come with the basic and $9 for the expansion pack a pretty good price. Developers are still updating and adding to the app. Compared to the other apps on apple store this one I found the best.Version: 1.31
✓ Definitely worth it!I love this app. It makes character creation much easier. The developers also seem to make additions to it regularly. I wish they would continue to add more items and gear but you can create custom gear, so this isn’t a big deal. I have been using this app exclusively in my new campaign and it has made keeping track of everything so smooth. I bring my iPad to the table and everything else is taken care of..Version: 1.22
✓ Best character sheet appI recently switched over to apple and when I found this app it made the switch a god send. There were some apps that “got the job done” but nothing I found was quite as extensive as RPG scribe. The dev team has been constantly updating and improving the app and has been more than helpful in responding to feed back. I just wish that Rlyeh industry would release a massive reference app including all the books similar to Paizo’s but better. Keep up the great work and I look forward to more updates..Version: 1.12.2
✓ I love this app so muchI've been using this app for a couple years now and I was surprised that when I opened it up today it said that there was an update. The added ability of conditions is amazing especially for Barbarian because it makes it super easy to track the new health and other things rage affects. Another thing I would love to see in future updates is an easy way to use power attack! Keep up the great work, I love your app! ✓ Needs more mundanes and customisation flexibilityPretty Great character sheet replacement for the most part. Definitely should get this over fight club. If anything isn't SRD though you may have a hard time custom importing it. Also tracking stuff like spell materials and such isn't there. Cool the dev is adding classes and things but it really needs a mundanes library and better backend so users can custom add what they need to. Certain metamagic feats are impossible to track on this and there's annoying things like weight limit to custom items when adding to database..Version: 1.84
✓ Rest of the prestige and subclasses neededGreat app for for pathfinder and 3.5. Some issues I have with the app is that some of the subclasses/prestige classes are not all included. Another issue is in the custom build classes that I can’t add blood lines to my character (might not be doing something right but I don’t see it). I’m seeing that new updates are still being done so I’m excited to see what else they bring out. ✓ Great app! One feature requestI am loving this app and my whole group is using it in our first PF1e campaign. For the price point no other app comes close! The one little thing I really wish I could do is set a universal source book filter either per character or through settings. ✓ A DM’s and Players’s Go To AppI’ve been DMing on and off for over 20 years, from D&D, AD&D, 3.0 to 3.5. And this is the best most comprehensive character app I’ve come across. I’m currently running an ongoing 8 year multi-dimensional now epic level campaign. So, I recommended this app to all my players. As a DM, I’ve been able to create some pretty spectacular NPCs in a very short period of time. And if I didn’t like the results; I just used the “revert a level” option and tried something different. As a player, it has really helped my wife keep track of her feats and spells during game play with the easy access descriptions. ✓ Missing LOTS of info but really well madeSo, I’m playing a Seducer Witch with the Enchanting Courtesan Prestige Class and even though literally NONE of the information I need to PLAY this character are on the app, it DOES have this really great “Custom” feature that allows you to fill in the missing gaps which has worked pretty well. I paid for all the bonus packs, thinking my missing information was in one of them, but I’m honestly not even mad about it because the app is fairly well done and the team seem very hands on and eager to help. Vvvv Having someone actually CARE enough to help me figure out how to build my character made me feel like I was dealing with a friend. Which is amazing. Also, they update information CONSTANTLY. I feel like every time I log on, I see “we’ve got an update, would you like to download it now?” 🥰.Version: 1.79
✓ Great App, especially for casual/new/returning playersIt had been a couple decades since I played D&D. I picked up this app a couple years ago for a Pathfinder campaign. I thought it was useful/cool enough at the time to drop a couple bucks and pick up the expansion. But our campaign fizzled out after a short time and it sat unused until a couple weeks ago. This app makes creating a character a breeze even for novice players. Equipment management took a little bit to figure out how to use, but it works great once you understand what’s going on. What was once a rather daunting exercise in “getting up to speed” to create/manage a character is now simple and mostly automated. I recommend having the Players Handbook available to reference tables and descriptions while using the app, though the built in descriptions are really good too. Game play with the app is fantastic. Swap weapons, manage conditions, leveling up; it’s all pretty straight forward and logical. Props and a big “Thank you” to the devs..Version: 1.31.1
✓ Wonderful app, but missing just a few things that would make it perfectThis is probably the best app for managing base characters, unfortunately as far as it's ability to add custom content it's missing many key things. Hopefully everything on the D20pfsrd website will eventually be added and I will continue to purchase packs to support the development of this ever growing app. Perhaps I'll even see my own classes in the app someday. The ability to add things like bloodlines and Arcane pools as well as archetypes, for custom classes especially would be incredibly helpful. I won't be able to play a current character due to the class I built not being possible to create at the moment and it only uses base features of the magus and sorcerer class that are already in the app. I'm looking forward to seeing this app grow over time, wonderful job. ✓ OzFritzI love this app, as both a player and someone who just loves to try out different combos for races and classes. Easy to use, easy to understand, and displays everything you need. The only thing that comes to mind that I want from this app that I’m not getting is my favourite class (I mean who doesn’t love a Brawler), but seeing as it doesn’t seem to get picked by many people in the class survey, I’ll just have to wait. ✓ Amazing appAs a huge D&D fan and what feels like a Forever DM I love this app I have all of my players download it so we can all be on The same page for characters, the ease of use creating a character is awesome I teach a lot of new players using this app and I spend a lot of time crafting items and NPC with it. A few things I think would be amazing to have it the ability to add a picture to your character, another thing is animals such as horses can get the armor feats but have no way to equip said armor Just food for thought, keep up the amazing work can’t wait to see what comes next.Version: 1.43.1
✓ Improvement suggestionsCurrently there are only the pre built options(familiar, animal companion etc), but a customizable companion page would greatly improve this app(still great without it). A custom counter in the custom classes for non spell-like times per day abilities that can either be a flat number or scaled based of an ability score would be awesome. ✓ FantasticThis is a fantastic app if you are playing Pathfinder. Very easy to use and a godsend when it comes to leveling up your character. Only complaint right now is that Unchained is not included but the company responded in a matter of hours to my inquiry about saying that it was in the works. Even without Unchained being a part of the app it is very easy to add custom content for a character so you can make do for now. Also very easy to make manually adjustments if you have house rules like I do. Highly recommend getting this app..Version: 1.11.4
✓ Great App and is constantly being updated!I think that the app is great!! It is the best character sheet apps I have used, it contains a lot of the additional rule books and is constantly being updated. It is easy to create your own rules/feats/classes/races/etc. for what isn’t included yet or for custom material. One thing I hope gets added in soon is the ability to add skeletons similar to how familiars/companions are treated in the app. As a necromancer keeping track of the skeleton stats are important as not to slow down gameplay and utility for skeletons specifically would be nice..Version: 1.16.1
✓ AWESOME...butThis is an amazing app to keep track of everything for your character and game EXCEPT, and maybe it’s just me and how my dumb brain works but for some reason the TOTAL modifier numbers for skills are the very first number, followed by the numbers that contribute to that. I often use the very LAST number instead, often significantly lower. In my opinion, the modifying number that you should use should be present or highlighted in a distinguishing manner or font so I can automatically see which one I should use. ✓ Best RPG character appMy party and I exclusively use this app for any pathfinder games we play. It has a great interface and everything is extremely easy to use. The constant updates are also a huge plus. One thing that i would request is some expansion on the custom class option. While it is fantastic it only allows for basic feats to be selected and no class abilities. If that could be added or allowing us to make custom archetypes it would be amazing. ✓ A+Absolutely fantastic app. It has the most simple interface and does all the work for you. It’s hard to mess up your character sheet with this app as it auto applies most effects. Except spells which it gives you the option to create the precise effects it would give, and then toggle on and off. Sadly there are some spells, feats, effects, items and such that are missing, however more content flows in every month. ✓ What a great app!I’ve been using this app for a while now, and I’ve got to say I’m really impressed with it! For those of you on the fence it is absolutely worth the few dollars. It saves me loads of time as a DM making characters! I’m talking hours saved! There’s so many references to characters, items, prestige classes and spells that you don’t need to be constantly looking through your players handbook anymore! (they just added animal companions!) If you play 3.5 then this is a must buy! (PS to developers, can you please add the weapon “maul”? Several of my characters use them and I would be very happy to see it in the app! I emailed the creators about my class archetype not being in the app. They added it in the most recent update (a couple weeks after I emailed them). I’m really happy that they added it. It makes playing pathfinder so much easier and the user interface is pretty intuitive. The app doesn’t have everything but it is customizable. The printed character sheet is functional, but not the prettiest thing. Overall this is the best app that I found for iPhones..Version: 1.30

✓ PathfinderI've had the app for a while but I haven't had the opportunity to field test it. I've more or less been playing around with the capabilities. Recently I've been getting into Pathfinder and I noticed the app had an option for it. So far it looks good! My only complaint is the epic level expansion I purchased was for 3.5 alone. I would be more than willing to give a 5 star rating if you could add epic level capabilities for Pathfinder, hopefully without purchase considering I already purchased an epic level pack..Version: 1.11
✓ Great functionality, easy to customizeThe base app covers pretty much all vanilla content, and the pathfinder expansion adds most extras barring a few classes and races. The content is easy to sort through, and being able to add custom things is great. Only downside is some specific things don’t seem to allow custom data, like oracle mysteries, meaning some 3rd party sources require extra or external sheet tracking. ✓ IrreplaceableFrom the ground running this will enable both players and dms the ability to create characters on the fly. I love the ability to make all my noteworthy npcs and bosses quickly and smoothly. It tracks all important information like spell uses, weapons, money, armor ratings feats and skills smoothly. Without this you can spend 30 minutes to hours making a character (especially if you are new to the game or class). With this it’s a matter of minutes even if exploring new races or classes. I strongly recommend the expansion pack, even more so if your whole crew is running this app. You have the opportunity to run campaigns that were either a stretch or impossible with the base pathfinder game..Version: 1.11.4
✓ Such a great appI use this app quite a bit with my Pathfinder gaming, both as a player and a GM. I really appreciate the easy to use interface and all the content they put into it. A few times I have been in situations to run a flash game spur of the moment and this app is great, but I’ve had to use another app for dice. If there was a way to incorporate a mechanic for rolling attack, damage, saving throws and skills straight from their menus, then this app would be perfect and all I would need to play a game no matter where I am. ✓ Amazing App and CreatorsI’ve been using this app for our pathfinder campaign for a little while. It has just about everything I could need and what it doesn’t have you can easily custom add it. Upon discovery of a programming bug I sent and email to notify the creators of it and they responded within 24hrs thanking me and stating they will be addressing the issue as soon as possible. The app is constantly having improvements and new content added. I cannot recommend this app enough to anyone searching for a pathfinder / 3.5 digital character app..Version: 1.69.1
✓ Easy to use, continually adding new contentRPG Scribe is very easy to use to get a character up and running, with enough content to get into some pretty loaded characters. Updates come often and a lot of content has been added to pathfinder recently, including additional races. You can also add custom content, which I’ve used to add spells from content that hasn’t been added yet. Although in my experience, as soon as I add something like this, it gets added almost immediately. I would like to see the addition of pathfinder unchained, and the ability to incorporate companions and familiars, but I’m sure this is just a matter of time..Version: 1.11.5
✓ Great app that has the potential to be the bestThis app is brilliant for both creating and playing with Pathfinder characters. The app draws from all of the information and rules from PRD and it links to the relevant information online as well allowing you to check them offline. There’s a simple and intuitive step by step walkthrough for character creation and leveling up. The app looks great with an uncluttered layout and it’s easy to quickly find what you are looking for in the middle of a game. All the maths are automatically calculated when you make any changes including changing weapons and armor, adding new feats and abilities etc. When choosing feats the app automatically shows you the feats that your character is eligible for and automatically assigns granted feats for your class, race and archetype. Another great feature are the trackers for special abilities and the conditions tool which allows you to add a condition and all of the calculations are done automatically. If there’s something that’s not in the database that you want to add you can do that too. There’s an add-on Expansion pack which adds more content than the standard Core content. They’ve said it’s a one time fee and more content will be added without you having to pay any more. It’s not complete yet and with the expansion pack, for an iPhone app it’s not on the cheap side, however, if you want something that’s going to give you anywhere near a hero labs level of character creation experience at a fraction of the price and on your iPhone(!) it’s well worth the price. The things that would make this app THE BEST: - more content!! (For example, I wanted to play some archetypes that are not available) - an option to export to PDF or at least a guide of how to use a .txt file on your iPhone.Version: 1.11.5

My group plays pathfinder, and I tried going through various other options, including the various google docs, and this was the cleanest to look at and the easiest to use. There are frequent updates as well, adding new content from beyond the core book. If you are using content that’s not in the app, it’s easy to add what you need as custom options. Leveling takes seconds as opposed to minutes to flip through your class in the manual and find all the stats that upgrade. Creating a character can be a breeze as well. Disappointed that I had to buy add-on content. Once I purchased everything for Pathfinder, my life became so much simpler when gaming. I got my whole Pathfinder party to purchase this. ✓ Good startI’ve started messing around with this app and as a guy who uses pcgen a lot this isn’t the best but it is definitely helpful. The expansion definitely provided more options and is fun to play around with. I’d like to see the CMB broken down to each skill and the ability to enchant equipment properly not with just spell like abilities. Then there are the missing combat styles that should be there, as well as possibly adding in support for templates and everything revolving around 3.5 which in my opinion is still way better than 5e. ✓ Great app, lacking just a couple of things imo.This is an remarkably intuitive interface and character builder. As previous review a dice roller would be nice, and maybe a duration countdown for spells and abilities, although I expect the would involved some quite intricate modifications. Apart from my pie in the sky wishes, my difficulty has resulted from my cleric domain choices. I’m Sun / Medicine (Healing sub domain) and I cannot work out how to add a new sub domain to an existing domain. I’ve managed a poor workaround by making a new domain, but it not easily visible and I’ve had to remove healing domain to get rid of rebuke death. With the speed of updates, I’m sure it will be added, but until then I’ll be keeping my domain info on my spell monitoring cards. Still a great product. Updated rating to 5*, as medicine sub domain added quickly enough that it was available before my next game, a couple of weeks after I initially wrote this review..Version: 1.26
✓ Become more powerful than your DMI recommend this app to everyone. I have a group of friends who likes to play one shot campaigns and they have to make a new character each session. With this app I’m able to create full characters in minutes while completely understanding race traits, skills, feats, and spells by the time it takes them to decide on a class. I discovered a small glitch in a feat and emailed the RPG scribe team, they responded promptly and even noted the change on the apps update notes within a few days. The app is constantly improving and is already infinitely better than pencil and paper. My entire campaign is now run using this app and the resources the app provides makes it easy to become as knowledgeable as the DM. (Well worth purchasing the expansion pack.) ✓ Best Pathfinder AppHands down, this is the best pathfinder app on the market. As a new player, I can’t imagine playing without it! It’s the first thing I recommend to other players as well. The customization is awesome, too! You can even create custom conditions to toggle when using certain feats and weapons that alter character stats. So useful! The only thing I wish it had was the ability to select custom icons when creating new items, rather than the default base one. A few items are missing too (instruments for bards, outfit options, improvised weapons). Also, syncing to Dropbox or iCloud would be a nice option for those of us with multiple devices. ✓ Great App!Really this is nearly a 5. For a numbers heavy game like PF, this app is a godsend. With uses per day tracking, spell management, encumbrance, and all the math done for you. Also easy to determine where bonuses come from if you’ve forgotten when asked by GM. One issue is that it is quite simple to add spells to a list when a character is not yet able to cast them. The app has an abundance of rules and content from most the core rulebooks! It even got my wife more into character creation and that was her most hated part, but this app makes it easy and takes the boring calculations out of 90% of it. As some users have said it does not have every rulebook and spell out there from all the AP’s and books ever released, but it has a TON. It’s also always growing! Every month they release new content with more archetypes, races, and classes! I look forward to it every month. ✓ Solid design and active DevYou know, in an era where you have Herolab running a subscription model and WOTC being just plain evil... it's nice to have a tool that gives direct and simple access. I've been using RPGScribe for a hot minute to manage my theorycrafting and characters for my in-person games. It works beautifully for many things that you would need it for, and only falls short in niche use-cases. And by falling short, I don't mean like it's utterly a failure, but it's just things that are rarely touched on and wouldn't need to BE a priority. As an example, I recently started running an Undead Lord Cleric, which opens up some interesting undead companion stuff. While the archetype IS in the system, the ability to set up a templated undead is not. Would the average player run into this? Most Likely not. The vast majority of use-cases are covered, especially for the new players that need to keep track of many things at once. ✓ Great app, but maybe not if you like tons of non-standard optionsI’m not normally one to pay for an app, but I think that this one was worth the $2.99 for the app itself and the $4.99 for the Pathfinder upgrade. I play in a play-by-post group and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been out somewhere and unable to update because I needed to refer to something on my character sheet, which I keep at home on my computer! I especially love that it makes all most of the calculations you need for you. That said, it does not have every single Pathfinder option ever released. Among the things missing, I noted story feats, animal companion-specific feats, the elemental arcane schools for wizards, as well as most magical items that aren’t worn in one of the slots and many of the mundane items, though you can add some of those yourself. I also could not figure out how to add magic properties to weapons, though that may be a user error on my part. But if you don’t need to venture too deeply into every PF option ever offered, this app should work just fine for you..Version: 1.16.2

✓ This App is fantastic!I’ve used this app to create dozens of characters for myself and the players in the games I run. Although we still play off paper sheets during games, this app is great for checking our math and quick experimentation. The clone character and import/export character features are really nice. And as a GM I love the character grouping feature because it lets me group characters by which game I’m playing/running and view those together. Highly recommend this app!.Version: 1.27
✓ Worth every penny!!!!!!!!!!!!!I don’t write reviews often but this app single handedly created every NPC and party members character for our campaign. Wish I bought it sooner!!!! Love that you can add custom feats for any supplements. Would give it more stars if I could. Only thing I would like added were additional items like caltrops, musical instruments, mandolins, tools and skills kit, basically everything on page 128 & 129 in the 3.5 players handbook. ✓ Useful and consistently updated (as of April 2019)This app has been wonderful to me. I know that herolab is a thing but one WHEW ITS EXPENSIVE and two, I like just using my phone. Although it doesn’t have /everything/ its updated what feels like every weekend and the price for the full content is truly worth it. It’s as simple and easy as I feel it can get. ✓ Awesome App with constant updatesSo I love this app. As a GM I find it easy to come up with NPC concepts on the go or build a concept just to see it “on paper” before putting it in game. You can sort your characters/NPC by categories (I currently have at least 7 right now). Custom feats and items are super easy to import. When it comes to custom classes having some classes abilities auto reflect is a small problem but I Just haven't figured it out yet apparently. While still having 5 stars in my opinion (its that good) I wish it gave options to change what attribute effects what stat (example you become undead so now Con is irrelevant but you want to track accurate hit points) I know some of the built in data for traits does it but Building your own I don’t know how..Version: 1.49
✓ Incredible Value AppThis application is what I’m going to recommend my friends use to get started with Pathfinder. It’s very complete, and updated frequently enough that I’m very happy with things overall. The biggest issues are easily remedied, that’s the interface. Other PC software has better, easier to read and navigate interfaces. I wish they would work on this, but especially overhaul the main page with larger Icons so it’s easier to view. The character summary page is ok, but it’s sort of a wall of text thing that could be made much better with some good graphic designers..Version: 1.29.1
✓ Best D&D character manager I’ve used.This app is incredible, and here are my favorite features that make it perfect: 1. The ability to make custom items, Feats, etc. that are then all automatically calculated into your ability scores, AC, etc. for you. 2. Custom trackers. My DM will often create new skills or abilities and being able to set them up and track usage/and reset free each rest is so very helpful. 3. Organization. This app has the best workflow I’ve seen. Everything is easy to find and easy to work with. 4. Last but not least, the developers are CONSTANTLY making improvements. There are updates with improvements so often, it is obvious they love this app as much as the players who use it. Drop whatever app you’ve been using and purchased this today. ✓ Excellent Character Generation AppI’m using this for Pathfinder, and it’s been fun to just generate a lot of NPCs. Good access to reference material, you can filter by rules subset, and a nice clean interface that makes it easy to edit or gain information. Two small nits, it would be nice to have different methods of rolling your character. Right now you can either enter the numbers directly or roll, but at least the standard Pathfinder method should be available. Perhaps I’m missing something. The other thing is more of a wish than a nit, and that would be use of the Pathfinder Unchained Character background generator. Well worth the money for the expanded content, and I will be tipping the devs as well for such a well-conceived and coded app. I find most modern apps to be 80% “magic”, with secret gestures and hunt the active screen zone. ✓ Great app, would like more functionalityThis is a great app as is, however not all things that have been published are out there. It would be nice if the database was more fleshed out, and it would be nice if more of the fill in spots had some more versatility. The language area in specific should have custom language options for more personalized campaigns. It would also be nice to have a note taking system outside of characters, or a GM/game building side to the app. Other than those things, this is probably the best pathfinder app out there that I have tried, and the spell book in particular is nice and feels organic. Great job, just needs a little more personalization capabilities to get 5 stars from me..Version: 1.38

✓ Such A HelpI’m a newbie to pathfinder. I had many problems fumbling around the giant books and online sources. But this app made everything infinitely easier. Not to mention I was able to create my already existing character to the letter without any problem. This goes without saying, it was a lifesaver. ✓ I Love It!I use this app to create and track characters all the time, and the fact that the app is regularly updated with content makes it a good supplement to offline games when Archives of Nethys or d20 can’t be accessed, and the adding of NPC classes means I can keep my NPC’s stored there as well.
