Treble and bass fluctuatingHave enjoyed using this app until approx. 3 weeks ago when the treble and bass started moving randomly, independently of anything I was doing. Look forward to update to this app to cure this problem..Version: 1.19.0

Erratic connectionIt’s been working fine for over a year but recently it often doesn’t connect wirelessly to my hearing aids. I have the latest software version. Update: problem solved following prompt response from developer support. 2nd update: stopped working again. Followed on the support advice, problem fixed for a few days then it won’t connect again..Version: 1.19.0

IPod 15.4 updateApp will not stay connected to hearing aids since Apple updated iPod iOS to 15.4. It connects but after a while it loses connection and has to be reconnected. The hearing aids stay connected to iPad as normal. Works fine on iPhone 12 since update. Update Thank you for your assistance but I am afraid your advice didn’t appear to help, however I have since downloaded iOS 15.4.1 update and this has fixed the problem. The hearing aids are great and really help with my hearing problems. The app is now great again also..Version: 1.19.0

IOS 13 updateSince the last update my video sound while using my aids on Bluetooth will not transmit to the hearing aids. This includes my cell phone, news video and various audio apps. The aids appear to load and I can hear the ping within the app but it will not work outside the app. Hope you can resolve this soon.Version: 1.5.1

Poor connectivityI love the concept of this app and the ease to change my sound settings. My dr told me this app gets low ratings-now I know why. I have had my hearing aids about 3 weeks. In that time, I have deleted app, reinstalled, repaired 4 times. I reboot my phone daily to try and get BOTH aids to connect. I disconnect Bluetooth hoping that helps. Nope. Rarely, do I have both aids connected. I have checked that my phone is on your compatible list. I have the most recent download. Glad I’m not paying for this app. A friend has starkly aids. A great additionAs an audiologist I must stress that you do not spend money on the aids and they say it's a waste because you're not happy with the ap. The Lind 3D aids are superb and independent tests have shown that. I have 100% success and also 100% success rate with clients who use this and other resound aps. As with other aps, if Apple change the iOS then of course you have to wait for manufacturers to update their software. Hearing aids are prescribed to make you hear better and not just to work with an ap. This is an addition which some people use and some people have not intention of using. If you're having problems and you have bought your aids from a reputable supplier then go and talk to them as they may have an answer for you.Version: 1.1.2

Great app just a shame about the watch extensionReally like this app. I find it incredibly intuitive and easy to use. My only complaint is that the Apple Watch extension should be a game changer and looks like it could almost change my life but sadly seems to require the iPhone app to be visible in order to connect which really makes no sense. Notification symbol won’t go! Some tips for updatesThere’s an annoying notification symbol on my app. I can’t seem to get rid of it! I have gone through every setting and tutorial on the app but nothing clears it. I think the app is good but future updates could include access to apples shortcuts. Such as the option to mute my hearing aids or turn them down automatically when my car connects to iPhone. This would be great!! I have been using my hearing aids for a few extra things such as using routines like with Alexa. But I’d like more stability. I would also like it if I could have more features such as setting a voice reminder to go off in my hearing aid when I arrive/leave a location. App worked with five year old hearing aids; much better with my new hearing aids from CostcoThe app didn’t work well for years. Finally tried the newest update and it works like a champ. Even works on my Apple watch. Five days ago, I got new resound hearing aids from Costco. The app has even more functionality now with the new hearing aids than it did with my five year old hearing aids. I’m very impressed -Costco audiologist/technician set me up with a fourth hearing menu protocol so that I can use over the ear headphones and listen to music or my TV via Bluetooth without any feedback in my hearing aids. It’s wonderful sound that I haven’t had in years. This app is highly recommended and easy to use..Version: 1.27.0

Great App let down in 2 areasThe new Lynx 3D hear aids are a great improvement on the Lynx 2 and its new App is also a much better than the old App. It is let down in 2 areas 1 The Remote Assist - is a great addition but poorly implemented - you can request a change from your audiologist and have the change delivered straight to the App. However you can only try the update once! So if you are unsure you can go back to the previous settings but the update is then lost. This needs changing so that users can try the update several times - a name or version number would help too. 2 I have had all 3 versions of the Lynx range and all have suffered from one aid aid being on a hearing program and the other streaming from the iPhone. This could be an iOS problem but the App should help to force both aids to either streaming or back to a hearing mode..Version: 1.0.1

Great app, great hearing aids.I recently purchased a pair of Resound GN hearing aids, having had a pair of NHS hearing aids. The NHS ones were awful. Sound quality was poor and the control app was atrocious. The Resounds are a dream. I work long hours and can easily end up wearing them for 12-14 hours a day. The sound quality and the fit is that good that I simply forget I have them in sometimes and it’s only when I take them out that I even notice they’d been working. The sound is natural and clear, I can change settings quickly and easily via the app and the app is very easy and intuitive to use. Along with the great battery life, charging case, Bluetooth streaming and excellent fit, they are everything I wanted from a set of hearing aids. Phone app works great, watch app needs an updateThe phone app is excellent and works very well. Well done Resound for developing it and trying to keep it up to date with each iteration of iOS. Unfortunately I cannot get the Apple Watch app to work properly. The watch app requires the phone app to be on all the time with the phone screen activated. What it needs is the phone app to operate in background not exclusive mode and make independent adjustments on the fly with the watch app. Happy to review again when there is a new update from resound. It must be hard developing for a perpetual moving target. Hope they continue developing the watch app, in theory it’s a killer feature and the resound to stick with Resound..Version: 1.3.1

Enjoying the app, need moreI really enjoy using the app for my new Resound Quattro. One small improvement I ask is I actually want to change the equaliser settings on the noise filter and the Audiologist says that it is not possible. So for e.g the button ‘Noise Filter’ is meant to be a shortcut to a setting I should want to use, but it is not exactly to my liking and so I click it and then (using app) make afew tweaks and I am there!! The few tweaks should be configured into the button obviously as I want that to be my default for noise filter... if the buttons within the program can be made configurable by the Audiologist that would be a good enhancement. I have other suggestions too (music and phone calls require different equaliser) but this is a review not a forum so I will leave it there..Version: 1.3.1

Great app in general - Bluetooth issues with iPhoneXI was very happy using my GN Resound Linx 3D 9’s with my iPhone 6. A great feature was having it work seemlessly sending calls to either my car handsfree system or my hearing aids as required. With my new purchase of an iPhone X I can be on a call with my hands free in the car when it will randomly decide to change to my hearing aids. This happens whether I’m receiving a call or sending a call. It disrupts the calls and is very annoying. Please fix this issue..Version: 1.1.2

3D AppThe hearing aids work well, but the Smart 3D app needs L & R treble controls accessible to (this) user. (I know they exist but I can’t find them again.) Needs a quick master mute switch. Also needs a quick easy way to change iPhone audio output from hearing aids to phone speaker temporarily, as when playing a video to a friend. Needs more transparency for the user—and a “default” switch in case the user gets confused. I almost never use the app directly or change from its “All Around” program—just hit the iPhone’s side button three times and use the sliders that come up there. That’s MUCH better than digging into the app when trying to converse with someone. In any case, the aids and the app and the iPhone work nicely together generally—just not ideally yet..Version: 1.29.0

Reverts to audio streaming when phone ringsPlease ignore the second part of this review. I have now fixed the issue I was having and have upgraded the stars to 5. This app is now now works perfectly. This app works well but for one thing. It always switches to audio streaming when the phone rings which is so annoying. I have set my iPhone 7 to ‘never through hearing aids in the audio routing within the accessibility option in the system software. Also it switches to hearing aids when in the car instead of through the car radio. Has anyone else experienced this. Comments please and comments/suggestion from resound please. App stopped working…now it does!As a judge who wears hearing aids in a busy, noisy court room, it is often necessary for me to be able to manually adjust volume, treble and bass depending on the level of ambient noise in the court room. Unfortunately, when an iOS update was installed my Resound app stopped working. After trying numerous times to reinstall the app, I contacted, via email, Resound customer service for help. They responded within 24 hours with directions on how to fix it… And it worked! I can’t say enough regarding Resounds quick response and clear directions … it was amazing and much appreciated. Tech supportI would really like to have access to Resound Support - knowledgeable person on differences each Aide has unique to it, and have Support available for me to have discussion with. My Audiology care givers have never been fully competent with specific details on differences from one generation to another, just general information. We (Audiologist) did a face time once with a Resound specialist which was helpful and I’d like to access that level of info to make best decisions on my equipment settings. I’m still working as a Physical Therapist out patient setting and my hearing equipment is allowing me to continue working , last upgrade was to “One” which made good deal of difference and didn’t realize had been available over a year. Excellent , With a Couple of Annoyances1. The dark background with red letters, etc., is impossible to see in daylight. Black on white, or white on black, depending on the iPhone display setting. 2. A simple mute button so the hearing aids can be shut off. Why? In very load situations,especially music, loud music causes the heading aids to distort, or simply be too loud to enjoy. Yes, the individual volumes can be turned down, but resetting to unsaved settings mean they have to be readjusted when things return to normal. 3. See number 1, then see it again..Version: 1.19.0

Been satisfied until now…I have had my hearing aids since July 2020, and have been using this app with no problem. Just within the last couple of months while on the phone, one of my hearing aids will continuously go in and out, and sometimes in the morning they will not connect to the app. I find it quite annoying that all of a sudden this is happening. I also find it quite annoying that 99% of the responses to the consumer is to contact you about the problem. Why can’t you post it here so other people that are having these problems can read it also? As while pretty goodI have been without the hearing aids for repair about a month total and I have had them since February. There is something in the plastic that makes my ears break out and have to go without them for a few days. They make my ears sweat. When they are working they work great and I love them, but when they make my ears itch and I have to remove them for a time I can’t hear!! I think I need 2 pairs one of the old fashioned kind and these for when I go out. But I can’t afford 2 pairs..Version: 1.19.0

Better sound qualityI recommend these hearing aids but the sound quality should be better. They also are unstable depending on the quality of your Internet. If you have a slow Internet your hearing aids will cut out when using the app. If you turn off the Bluetooth then they are fine. They are subtle and sometimes you don’t know if they are working. The app functions well and the filters do help a lot. When it comes to hearing music they’re not very good..Version: 1.23.0

Apple Watch connectingI am running IOS 15.7 on iPhone 11 and Apple Watch series 7. When I load app on watch it tries to connect but won’t unless I open the Smart 3D app on my phone. As soon as I move to another app on my phone the Smart all on the watch disconnects again. Therefore it is useless as I might have to use the phone anyway! Every time I load the app on the phone it has to connect again so it does appear to be a problem with app on the phone disconnecting as soon as it’s not the live app. Any ideas how to fix this please? Folllwing this: 1) Delete app, 2) Unpair hearing aids in Settings > Accessibility > Hearing aids > Forget this device, 3) Turn phone off/on, 4) Install "new" app, 5) Hearing aids in Settings > Pair again Accessibility > Hearing aids, 6) Open the app and follow the instructions to connect. Resound Model C-1 Hearing AidsI love these hearing aids! I’ve tried several over the counter hearing aids and they can’t compare to Resound’s quality. I have “severe” hearing loss and these hearing aids actually work. They are very small, comfortable for all day use. The batteries are rechargeable, and last more than a day, probably longer, but I charge them at night and put them on in morning, and wear them till bedtime. I highly recommend them. Reviewed reviewHave now got the app working and am back in familiar territory, so happy. I was pleased with the old Resound app but the new features are a big improvement. The equaliser does make a difference. Saving favourite settings is very useful. My problem was not being able to exit demo mode. From the ‘ more’ screen the advise was to exit the app - reboot the HAs and then go back into the app. Then you go around again and again. What you actually need to do is go to settings/accessibility/made for iPhone etc and scroll down. Here you will find ‘forget this device. Press that - reboot the HAs by opening and closing and then go back into the app. This forces the app to start from scratch and happy days are here again..Version: 1.4.0

No hearing aid gives you normal hearing, but this one is as good as it gets.They’re still far from giving you normal hearing, but the Bluetooth connection to the iPhone certainly enhances aspects of hearing such as the TV streamer and the induction coil in public places, the restaurant mode (sometimes), and definitely hearing on the iPhone where hearing can approach normal hearing. It’s probably the best the industry has to offer. Their service is excellent through Costco and special help center for the electronic applications..Version: 1.19.0

Great AppWorks great with my iPhone and Apple Watch, from watch I can change the sound instantly and discretely in my work environment, only one gripe I would like to move my favourites around, some of the later ones tend to be at end of the list, where I would like them nearer the beginning especially with the Apple Watch have to scroll through to change. Great fidelity but missing programsOverall this device and technology has been amazing. The only disappointment is a reference to programs that don’t exist. The smart 3D app shows an icon for outdoors, restaurant, watching TV… and none exist in the phone (that I can find at any rate). I’m not talking about creating a ‘favorite’ - which can be done… but these appear only as a star, not a different program icon that the app tutorials show. Perhaps creative, marketing and UX weren’t aligned. (You should also be able to see the descriptor labels for ‘favorites’ in the top nav; they only appear when the carousel is being moved (and disappear when it is still.).Version: 1.27.0

TINITUS .I have had TINITUS for 40+ years and was informed on many occasion there was NOTHING that could be done to improve my hearing. “ RUBISH “!!! Updated: Good app, only minor issues***Updated version now supports iOS 13. Thanks Dev team! The app works well, minor issues with it not remembering my tinnitus settings, but very easy to change it back to what I need. The interface is fairly clean and modern, easy to figure out what I need to do in it. Would like the ability to remove one of the presets (phone program) and replace it with my own custom program though so that when I press the hearing aid button I can cycle to my custom program instead of the phone program..Version: 1.5.0

ProblemsWhilst the app is very good, the biggest weakness is the loss of Bluetooth connection between the aids and the phone. I have to go through settings to activate the connection before the 3D app will recognise the aids, often more than once a day..Version: 1.25.0

Great app, but a bit buggy at timesThis app works great with my new hearing aids and I’m really thankful to the developers who made this. There are a few bugs that I think need to be worked out: 1. Sometimes when switching between different programs, it splits the audio channels and they are at different levels even though I had them at mono setting before 2. Sometimes the Apple Watch app does not connect to my hearing aids, even after resetting my Apple Watch and the app One other feedback that would be nice is if I could change the icon for a program setting to something else. For example, if I want to rename the “Restaurant” setting to a different program, it would be nice to change the icon for it as well. Thank you! Update: Thank you, that fixed the issue. Hearing aid appInstead of improving this app is worse than the app I had 3 years ago. Only one side works and I can’t shut out the noise when I use streaming. It’s frustrating to use and I’m at the point of delete and use my iPhone headset.Version: 1.5.1

Resound 3DI got new Resound Omnia5 hearing aids at the end of March, 2023. I really appreciate the ability to adjust the sound levels on the fly and the ability to have programs for specific locations. The problems I have are 1) the hearing aids intermittently lose sync with the app while streaming an audiobook when walking our dogs. Sometimes just the act of turning my head slightly brings it back online. It can be either one, not just one specific side, forcing me to “reboot” that particular ear. 2) the app also loses sync intermittently during the day forcing a reboot. That is noticeable when I hear an incoming ping notice in one ear only. Sometimes I can just reboot that one ear and sometimes I have to reboot both ears. FYI - I put them in between 0630 and 0830 and remove them between 2100 and 2300 each day. I also use an iPhone 14 Pro. These two problems also happened on my prior iPhone 12 Pro so…..Version: 1.29.0

Resync required multiple times after iOS updateSince the iOS update March 2022, I have had to resync my devices four times. Twice I did this while on the phone with Resound support. One selling point of these devices was the development of the Bluetooth connectivity specifically with Apple indicating a robust connection with iOS devices. This is very annoying especially when it happens when I’m away from the charger, a necessity for resyncing. My convo with support didn’t give any indication that active steps were being taken to remedy this. This is very annoying..Version: 1.19.0

Latest IOS updateI’d used the app successfully since receiving my hearing aids over 3 years ago, and had no problems until after the most recent IOS update to v15.4. Immediately afterward, the app was no longer detecting the devices. After a few failed attempts to re-sync them, I deleted the program, restarted the phone, downloaded the app again, but synchronization still didn’t work. I’ve made multiple attempts since then, and even cancelled and re-synced them with the iPhone itself (under “Accessibility” in “Settings”), but the app either doesn’t detect them at all, or only sees the device for my right ear..Version: 1.19.0

Best thing availableOver the years since my discharge from the US Army,, my hearing has degraded significantly. Per my VA audiologist Resound is the most powerful aid on the market today. The app works pretty well and the interface between smartphones and TV is great!!! The only criticism is the length of time it takes to connect to the smartphone when I need to make a change…. At times I am Streaming a podcast and someone walks up at work to ask me something. If I am Streaming to both ears the. I have to hit pause and wait for it to take effect…. I have since learned to set up streaming to one ear only ( in smartphone settings) and that works better. I am nonfunctional without aids so this app is essential for me to Maintain any sort of quality of life in this modern electronic world….: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.Version: 1.23.0

Great hearing aidsI love my Smart 3D hearing aids. The different settings are wonderful. I’m a musician and the music setting makes the music sound so much better to me! I like the background noise canceling option when there’s a lot of background noise. The outdoor setting allows me to hear the birds singing! I love the Bluetooth particularly for phone calls. Hearing the phone conversation directly in my ears when using my iPhone makes it so much easier to understand the conversation. It’s also wonderful to be able to recharge them overnight and not to replace batteries. I highly recommend Resound Smart 3D hearing aids..Version: 1.19.0

Is it possible to ‘start again’ when installing the app?I encountered a problem when adding my iWatch 7 to use the app and it all seemed to go wrong. Deleted the app, agreed to lose data, reinstalled app but my previous connections to 2 TV Streamers and the Mini-Mic reappeared in the app and I still can’t connect to them. If I turn off Bluetooth on my phone, I can link my hearing aids correctly. Turn Bluetooth back on, tap on mini-mic icon in app for example, hearing aids go beep and then the screen returns to ‘All-Around’. It will not connect. Is it not possible to do a hard reset so that nothing is connected when the app is installed? I fed this would give me the option of a clean start? Very frustrating as I love the connections but missing TV Sound in my ears and cannot use Mini-Mic on a course I’m doing. Hope you can help me. Thanks..Version: 1.27.0

Apple app defect streaming TVWhen streaming it is impossible to lower the sound volume when the network goes to commercial and jacks up the sound. They are capable of overriding the adjustment. Sound will completely turn off before the sound drops to a comfortable level. This makes it impossible to watch commercials when the sound is elevated. I like commercials. Many keep the sound volume high after the commercial and the same issues prevail until they lower the sound. The apple app needs to be fixed I believe. It is not a problem using the old native app from Resound and my old Resound hearing aids..Version: 1.33.0

Love it, But…This app is paired with my Resound hearing aids that I purchased at Costco. Everything has been great, until a month or so back when there was an update. At this time my hearing aids go whacky whenever Bluetooth is turned on, giving the app connection to the aids. I’ve been to Costco several times. The uninstalled and re-installed the app on my iPhone. I have uninstalled the app on my iPad and Apple Watch, but still my aids go whacky if Bluetooth is on and the app open on my iPhone. In my case it is the midrange and upper range that fluctuates wildly in amplification. Costco reps have seen this and say it is “haunted.” They are now saying that they have been getting reports from other people experiencing the same thing. At this time, I activate the app, make any adjustment that I want, and then turn off Bluetooth. I’m sure this will be fixed in a future update, because otherwise this app works great with my aids..Version: 1.25.0

Hands freeWhen I’m taking the call it cuts out the outside sounds and I think that it is dangerous, it should sound the same as if you take a call and holding the phone at your ear including the other sound around you. That should be implemented in the next update please.Version: 1.11.0

Great AppI’ve updated my review as the problems with iOS 11 have been fixed. App is now working well and provides great control over the hearing aids. I also use it with the Apple Watch (as a slightly more discrete way of adjusting settings) although even when taking a call via the watch you still have to use the mic on the iPhone, which is a bore. The Linx 3d are great hearing aids, and this app increases their flexibility..Version: 1.3.1

App connects intermittently, but.After the last iPhone 10 upgrade the app no longer works. It finds the hearing aids then sends you to settings paired ok then can’t get out of the app. Dump the app and starts all over again. I had already performed all the steps suggested by the developers and that did fix the problem, however the app lost contact with my hearing aids the next day and I had to go through all the steps again. Will wait and see. Having I said that I have been using 3 or 4 generations of resound hearing aids and the various apps. My hearing loss is severe and I couldn’t get along without them. I am very great full for the advancements in hearing aid technology. The latest Apple update seems to have fixed the connection problems..Version: 1.19.0

The ReSound Smart3D app has changed my life.These are my second set of Resound hearing aids. I rebuilt the first pair to keep as a spare. The app makes all the difference. I use it to stream phone calls directly to the Resound, stream podcasts, and adjust the profile for restaurants, all around, and music customized with a saved setting for my audio system. It just works. I could not be happier and I recommend Resound to everybody. My wife is happier, too. Don’t wait. Get the hearing aids while you are still young enough to enjoy them. Not perfectMy first pair of behind the ear resounds I bought three years ago. They worked fine for a while and then they started fading in and out with sound correction. I finally got my provider to send them in and there was a controversy Esther were there there was a problem. But I finally convinced them that there was and apparently they tested it for that and I got I believe a whole new unit inside my old ones was probably updated. It has worked quite well. I still have problems hearing but it’s probably not the hearing aid it’s probably just my physical condition. My big problem is they no longer will communicate with my iPad and only my iPhone I’ve tried rebooting putting on another app all to no avail I will put up with that, but it’s not the best situation..Version: 1.19.0

UPDATE for IOS 15.6August 2022- UPDATE for iPhone 13 Pro MAX, not 1 problem switching to new iPhone & iOS 15. UPDATE to iPhone 12 Pro Max - 13 Nov - After switch to a new phone had to reinstall thru iPhone (using Apple directions) & reload Resound App. Took 3 tries before everything clicked. During process Resound App would not come out of Demo Mode even when trying several times. Works 100% now..... Updated iPhone XS Max to iOS 14. App kept on working without me having to make any type of adjustments. 👍 Update 29 Apr 2020 -App still working 100% time prefect with iPhone XS MAX..Version: 1.23.0

Apple Watch ComplicationAll in all the app works very well with my LiNX Quattro CIC aids. I can make adjustments on my watch and iPhone. The only thing I cannot get to work is the Watch complication. The Smart 3D app appears as a complication but it cannot be chosen on any watch face. Fix this and I would give it 5 stars..Version: 1.5.1

Working well nowAfter my previous review, I played around with the phone, the app and the aids for a few days, repeatedly switching them all off and on again. Something must have worked, as all is now well again. Great app when it is working, and the aids are the best!.Version: 1.17.0

Quick Access SuggestionThere are times when using my hearing aid that I want to turn off the “streaming to device” feature, but to do this I have to navigate into my settings then accessibility then down into the hearing aid to turn it off, which is not very convenient or intuitive. this app provides a quick access feature to various controls by either clicking the side button three times or within my quick links by swiping from the top right corner, but the quick access panel does not present the streaming to device button. it would be so great if that button could be added to the quick access panel. I think that feature is urgently needed and will make this the perfect app. Thank you for listening :).Version: 1.25.0

Works for me!The Costco Audiologist initially recommended another brand. Since it was my first hearing aid adventure I was learning. After three months I returned them because the software did not function properly. Also, I know now that they were not comfortable. I’ve been wearing these GN resound hearing aids for a year now with no issues, and will buy another pair in two years when our insurance plan covers the cost. I love that they go in the charger every night and are ready when I wake up. The software allows me to cut background noise in a restaurant. Also, I can hit a speech clarity switch at night when I’m watching TV and it hones into it. It’s been a great purchase for me..Version: 1.19.0
