✓ Concerning and It Gets Worse!Update - After writing the review below, and before deleting the app[s], I looked for the app’s settings. To my surprise, neither Unit Calculator Pro nor Unit Calculator + (yes they are two different paid apps rather than upgrades of the base version) could be found within my phone’s settings menu. The app was nowhere to be found! Everything about this app screams spyware or worse. I voiced my concerns, like many others have, to Apple, but I could not request a refund because the app I paid for twice does not show as refundable for some reason. I don’t know how Apple can claim that they thoroughly vet every app in their store when a surreptitious and deceptive app like this lives on the platform. I want an explanation and my money back, but I’m not holding my breath. Original Review - The app seems ok, but the lack of a help section is an issue. More concerning is that the “app support” link brings you to a “page not found” error. After paying to upgrade to +, I am feeling like I made a foolish purchase. I bought the app because the developer claims that data isn’t collected, but the lack of a user manual coupled with a missing dev website makes me highly suspicious. ✓ Went from slow and cumbersome to mostly useless.Does the the job great, has every conversation you could possibly want and many you’ll never need, and it’s easy to use; however, it’s also time consuming to use. After using traditional metric convertors(I still keep a slide rule version and a calculator version around) I’m used this getting my conversions rather quickly, with this it’s a lot of “hold on a sec” then “f::::ng thing” then “almost got it”. Also scrolling when doing currency conversions is an antiquated practice, a simply search and input box would be far more practical as there are so many countries to scroll through to find the relevant ones you are seeking to convert. Shoe sizes are also incorrect. I can’t comment on other conversion tables available as I simply stopped using after testing out just those three sections. Finally the link to contact the developer is not functioning and after reading other reviews it seems has not been functional for some considerable time and I thus deleted the App and requested a refund from the UK Apple store.
