✓ Terrible - a total conThe app is buggy, streams crash all the time. Barely usable. Total waste of money. Also they make it seem like you can do a monthly subscription only to force you into paying for a whole year - very disappointed. Avoid at all costs..Version: 3.3.7
✓ Could be good.You pay for this service and then they put super annoying ads on during games. Not only that but, they put them on during the action, rather than during breaks in play. We take note of every company or service that’s advertised and make sure to never use them. That’s the little bit of joy you get, knowing that those companies paid for the pleasure of losing you as a customer. Wouldn’t be so bad if Flo placed the ads somewhere appropriate during the game but, they choose not to and the service you pay for is that much krappier because of it. Now it turns out that these races are only viewable in Canada. I’m very disappointed so I give you fair warning. I’ll never subscribe again, although it was not my intention to begin with! ✓ Awful!I’ve bought this app for the last two years to watch some drag racing events I wouldn’t be able to normally watch. It’s way to expensive, after taxes I paid almost $250 Canadian for the year. ✓ Unreliable TrashThe only positive thing I can say about this service is that they somehow manage to get the rights to some good games. The stream is unreliable and will stop for up to 10 minutes at a time. The strikes, balls, outs, and even inning are frequently incorrect. There is no pitch count or velocity on the screen, and they can’t even update their graphics to show the batters’ stats when they put their name graphic on the screen. Do not waste your money. Hopefully, enough people refusing this service will push their games to anything else. Update: They are now covering a basketball game, and it makes me wish they had at least the standard mentioned previously about baseball. The filming would be better quality if they used an iPhone or Samsung phone. It has frequently frozen, and they should have taken a higher seat to give a better view when it does work. It is very reminiscent of watching 90s home videos. They don’t even bother to display the score during play, and when they have flashed the score, both scores and the time were wrong. I am happy spending $50 on food and drinks at a sports bar to prevent these people from getting the $30 they want for the stream (which is another point of absurdity). ✓ Hit and miss game coverage and you pay for advertsSome games are great: quality coverage and commentary. Others have no sound or are the raw cut for channels to cut as needed. ✓ Deceptive indication of covered eventsThe app shows “Live” and “Replay” events on the menu screens but when I click to view I’m told that the event is not shown in my area. What?? Then don’t show it on the menu screen. Simple. They faked me out to get me to sign up yet don’t show the events they implied they would show, and won’t respond to my request for a refund. ✓ Ok… but glitchy. Pay service with commercialsThe USHL dropped hockey tv in favor of FloSports. This is an improvement as tge streams do appear to be more stable however there appear to be problems with dropped frames that make the service frustrating to use. As you watch a game you see and hear glitches lasting a fraction of a second to several seconds. In a chat dialogue with the service they blamed tge arena internet service for this. When I pressed them for details so I could check for accuracy tge chat session was disconnected. Needless to say I do not believe the explanation. Instead I believe FloSports has a capacity problem that could be solved with increased buffering. To their credit they appear to be trying to keep tge stream close to live, rather than producing the lags and outages of their predecessors. So I think it winds up being with the discounted price offered at tge front of the season. It is, however not worth the full price. Perhaps the service will improve. If this happens I will revise my review accordingly. One final point: you have no reason to interrupt the game with your own commercials. I’ve paid for tge service… and would pay more for flawless streaming with no commercials. Do better. FloSports, I’ll be watching…. For now..Version: 3.25

✓ It’s OkayThe Flo team are doing god’s work, particularly referring to their ongoing work in the jiu-jitsu and submission grappling world, but after paying AUD $230, I didn’t think I would have to put up’s with ads in the app or on any of the streams. Literally all streaming services offer this, and you would think they would net more subscribers, even for short periods, rather than have people not subscribe even for a month here and there..Version: 3.21.1

Specifically, Better camera proximity and section coverage instead of helicopter footage where it’s difficult to make out what is what. Actual coverage was decent but paying this much for a subscription and then having zero commentary on the live stream I was extremely disappointed. ✓ Total scamI sought out to get a pro subscription after finding out that livestreams weren’t free, so I happily paid 30 dollars to see my mother compete in world master bjj, only to find out that the pro subscription didn’t come through on the app but certainly did on my credit card. Any support I’ve contacted has not reached out to me to help get a refund as I’ve now missed my moms competition so I wish the absolute worst on whoever is behind this marketing practice. ✓ Horrible organization and streamingI was forced into getting a subscription to this app when Motocross moved mid season from MAVTV to Flo Racing. This may be the only app in history that is harder to find specific content on than RedBull TV. Holy crap. If you type motocross in the search box nothing comes up. You have to go to racing, events, replays and then scroll backwards through a few weeks worth of hillbilly racing to get to the last round of motocross. Then when you play it on a 1GB Wi-Fi connection that streams all day every day on every other service known to man…..it freezes. The only way to get it to work again it to force quit and start again. What a steaming pile of …. I’m not even going to watch the last two rounds of the motocross outdoor season as this app is so horrible I can’t bring myself to send them another month of fees..Version: 3.24

I’ve tried to cast on 6 different things with the volume turned up to the max on all of them. to hear the announcers which are silent most of the time and can’t hear them when they decide to say a couple of words. I downloaded the app and was able to watch the first of the 3 game test in Australia. Instead most that it offers are short clips and isolated fights, most of which are without any commentary, and often with just a static camera. Instructional videos are often very brief, sometimes under a minute. The search feature is basically nonexistent. I am now stuck with a year’s subscription, and I can get more material on the free YouTube platform. One thing that seems like one gets on the subscription is the ability to watch BJJ documentaries. ✓ Great coverage, the worse ad timingIt’s a great platform to watch sports and has great replays but the ads ruin everything. The ads pop up during live moments and replays and while the ball is in play, and the ad screen is twice the size of the sport your watching. It might be my bad luck timing, but it seems like every significant moment that happens during the broadcast, an ad pops up that’s so big you can’t even watch the program your paying the money to watch. ✓ No option to rewind, replay upload takes foreverOverall ok, but GCN is way better and I have some fundamental problems with this app. When entering a live event there’s no option to rewind, you’ve basically have to either get up very early or watch the event when it’s over. Note: this is possible on when watching on a laptop through a browser. Than the next problem: after the live event is over, including all podium ceremonies and interviews, it still takes another hour (making it approx 3 hrs after the event concluded) before it’s online. This sounds like nothing, but it’s super frustrating in the timezone I live: I know have to plan my day according to when FLO might upload the video. GCN has all these features and I therefore hope they’ll get more cycling rights over the years. I left feedback to FloSports 2 years ago, but the response I got was very dissatisfying..Version: 3.33.1

✓ Struggles to streamI signed up for Pro to watch the London marathon. We have 100/40 internet and have no issues streaming with any other app (Netflix, Foxtel, YouTube, Kayo etc). This laterally shows a buffering symbol every 30 seconds. It’s pretty much unwatchable. Not enough bandwidth to serve users on bigger events. Absolutely disappointed for $30usd fee for the month. ✓ Disrespect for Athletes and CustomersIf you have the misfortune of “needing” to follow a team whose games are being shown on this trash service, be prepared for big disappointments: 1. The audio will probably be bad, often unlistenable. For example, you may get to hear another game’s commentary over top of that for the game you’re trying to watch, and all of that may only come out of your back surround speakers if you’re on an Apple TV connected to a real sound system. 2. The commentators will mispronounce every athlete name they can, demonstrating a consistent lack of preparation. 3. If watching softball, you may only do so from the outfield. 4. The score bug will never, ever be accurate. If by chance it is, that’s just the “broken clock” effect. 5. Even though you’re paying a ridiculously high and unwarranted subscription fee, you will be forced to watch long pre-roll ads before your content will play. And you’ll get to do that every time you switch between games. This service seems to go out of its way to disrespect the games its shows, the athletes playing them, and its paying customers. ✓ Misleading Billing PageThis was a terrible experience. I signed up on the website and as a result did not see the reviews on the App Store about the billing cycle being yearly for cycling. While the page did say yearly (I went back in to the process to confirm that it was misleading), the $12.50/month price is presented in large font with “yearly” and “$150/year” much smaller and multiple reminders that you can “cancel anytime”. Why write out the monthly breakdown and feature it in larger font if there’s no option, it’s billed yearly, and you can’t get a prorated refund when you cancel early? ✓ Disappointed - feels like minimum required to charge the most possibleFlo sports has pretty good coverage of all sorts of sports, buts that’s about all it has going for it. First of, this is a premium subscription cost - its far from cheap ($30USD) Unfortunately, It just feels like the product just does enough to get away with it. And on top of this, it’s full of advertising! Not just light advertising - full screen ads that interrupt your games and minimise the play. As well as when scrolling through the app, it look like a free cheap mobile game covered in advertising. So for all this, do you get a great experience? No, not really. It’s very basic and missing functionality causes a poor experience. - streaming to your TV is clunky and can crash (to be fair this has improved a lot) - the app rarely remembers where you were in a replay and you have to find where you were up to after exiting every-time - the thumbnails are just a screenshots from LATE in the game and often spoil the score - very basic highlights/content creation if at all - really no new added functionality that I can recall since a year of using it For rugby fans - Compare this to Stan sports where for 19 USD you get: - a whole other movie and tv steaming service attached to it - no advertising - heaps of curated content including mini matches, highlights, rapid recaps, shorts, talk shows etc etc - no spoilers - their own commentary team - It’s still cheaper to get a VPN subscription AND use Stan sports. ✓ Warning — bait and switch scamThis app should be removed from the App Store. If you sign up for the for the paid content they advertise $12.50/month but then immediately charge your CC $150 for a full year. They also make you sign up via there website directly and not via the app, so no way to use apple’s support to dispute the charge . There are almost 1000 complaints on BBB about this company . ✓ Always has streaming issuesI’ve had the app for a couple of years now. There’s always streaming issues which are quite annoying. The site is quite primitive and it’s anybody’s a guess where a particular video is located. If you didn’t catch the live shoe and wanted to watch the rebroadcast show it may not have sound due to copyright laws. ✓ For now FloSports is a convoluted mess !!!I mainly bought this app to watch the big bicycle races that aren’t on Peacock or other platforms, in this particular case the “Tour de Suisse” which I should be able to watch live each day as well as full replays and/or highlights of previous stages. The same applies to any other races and all other sports & disciplines It is easy to access each stage of the race daily to watch it live. But if I want to watch a full reply of previous stages, that option is nowhere to be found. With all the many sports, disciplines, etc, the search options should be better organized in a user-friendly way. ✓ Holding back BJJFlo Grappling not making a monthly payment model is absolutely terrible for the sports growth. I love the superbowl but I dont want to pay for a year of NFL. Submission grappling has its biggest event ADCC every two years and instead of welcoming in new viewers and old, it tries to get you to pay for a 12 months subscription. Thats incredibly off putting and smacks of greed and puts the wealth and growth of the event and sport as a whole second. This has been going on for years and its probably lost them fans and money. ✓ Watching marathons is AustraliaIn Australia, flotrack is currently the only legal way to watch marathon majors. Both the the 2023 London marathon and Berlin marathon have had issues that mean you can’t watch them. Hopefully, they get a competitor in the market as they have no incentive to care about the Australian market. Their customer service can’t offer refunds where it’s explicitly clear people are only using their service for these events. If you want to watch it live, don’t pay them $29 USD, just search for the event on YouTube on watch a bootleg copy there. ✓ Poor user interface mobile, online, and on Apple TV!Today was kinda the last straw, and I will be looking for new streaming that provides cycling. After updating iOS I was unable to logins to my updated application with user name and password. Spent half hour trying to get in online and in app. In the end after several try’s with an annoying “Oops” error message. I signed in once more online and hey it worked! Just wanted to turn it on and upload events to catch-up during a quick workout; fail. For $150 per year the product fails miserably. I’ve kept my high priced subscription for a year even though the user interface is glaringly poor. Poop. - don’t autostart shows when user logs in! - don’t use spoiler information and competitors names in titles, or worse yet a photo of a cyclist with raised arms on podium or finish-line as placeholder image! (Whole point of streaming archives is for busy people who wanna catch-up while on their trainers, but ruins the fun knowing the outcome!) - when scrolling through archives, sometimes (AppleTV) placeholders get jumbled up and scroll behind top images list so can’t even see archives. - any placeholder landed up starts playing immediately, should be a 20 second pause to allow user to scan with eyes to find event to start. - AND there’s much more this is just the start! ✓ Multitude of ProblemsFlo, why do you insist on ruining the score by showing a preview image? I get that it’s all programmatic but just let me disable preview images then. I’m not even going to touch on the predatory pricing and billing model you’ve got because that’s been pointed out multiple times. ✓ Misleading Fees - Once paid you will not get your money backI subscribed to FloSports to watch 2020 Tour de France. This service has sole rights to distribute the event in Canada. Flosports goes to great length to state the monthly cost, however in Canada at least you MUST pay the full year up front. There is no way to pay monthly. To justify the annual fee FloSports say you will get access to special services and implies you can cancel your subscription at any time and get a refund. You can cancel your subscription when ever you want BUT BEWARE if you cancel after 30 days they will NOT refund your money. I have not found where that is stated but no doubt is someplace in the usage agreement no one ver reads. BUYER BEWARE FloSports will take your money. On top of that the reliability of the connection to the service during live events is mediocre at best, frequent drops is the reality. Final issue is watching the event after it is completed - unless you do it on the day of the event the app is not very user friendly. If you put a specific event in the search bar that is what should show up. In the FloBikes page that is only a random event if it occurs..Version: 3.5.1
✓ Terrible!!!I hope you don’t pay your announcers! I wanted to watch a NCAAW Baseball tournament and the announcers were wrong about pitch counts, outs and who was batting 99% of the time! ✓ AirplayWas an excellent app, until v3.7(ish). Now refuses to airplay to Sonos speakers from ATV. All other streaming apps still work fine. Many tech support emails have not helped.
