Math Interactive for Negative User Reviews

Not Worth ItThe title makes the app sound like it has every math concept there is. When I got the app, the app only had about ten concepts for trigonometry and eleven concepts for geometry. Both of these subjects have easily forty topics. Plus most of the lessons it has are premium that you have to buy.Version: 1.2

Why use this app over wolframalpha?Nothing special about the app. Very limited range of topics, each of which are around middle school to high school level. Yet, the explanations read like a dense text book. The information presented in the app is not being distilled in a way that would make it easier for a student to learn this material. If the goal is simply to be a reference, rather than a study or learning tool, then there is zero use case. Wolframalpha is a much better reference, and they cover so many more topics than this app. This app has a neat idea, but it should be more focused on giving intuitive and visual explanations of math. Trying to be a reference will not work..Version: 1.2

Not enoughNot enough terms to actually be useful these are elementary and barely middle school math terms. So as a high schooler who is actually trying to learn and figure out problems this is absolutely useless. And honestly I don’t see any elementary schooler getting an app to help them with their homework..Version: 1.2

Featured on the App Store and not even optimized for latest iOSPlease update for iOS 11 and iPhone X. Honestly a huge disappointment that Apple featured this app.Version: 1.1

Aims to offer deep intuition — only provides dry, verbose half explanationsYou would do much better learning this information on Khan Academy, which covers all of the topics in this app with more detail and more examples..Version: 1.2

Don’t Even BotherI am a geometry student in middle school and I downloaded the app after seeing an article written about the developers show up in the App Store’s feed. Personally, I have always struggled with remembering theorems and laws and they portrayed it as a well put together app that could explain theorems thoroughly to help you better understand them. From most of what I have learned this year—not even half of our curriculum can be covered without paying. You would have to cough up some cash for some of the more important equations/laws/theorems that are crucial in a geometry or algebra class. This is including trigonometric laws, vertex formulas, factoring, roots, polygons, and many more. The theorems included are vaguely explained and are lacking in examples. As for the display—it isn’t beautifully designed, but isn’t horrendous to look at either. Although I will cut them some slack as this is their first time in the field of programming. But overall, if you are struggling in math and looking for an app that might help you—I invite you to look elsewhere. There are plenty of good websites out there including IXL or Khan Academy..Version: 1.2

Unable to judge whether premium is worth itThe whole point of teaser downloads is to let you judge whether or not to upgrade to the full package. In this case, you cannot. The basic download doesn't let you try the interactive elements, see some proofs or give you enough information in the basic texts to gauge quality. Therefore, you have to gamble on the value, something I'm not prepared to do. Given the huge amount of excellent, free resources online, I am not going to waste my money on a gamble. The developers should really open up a few entire topics, complete with all elements to the full depth. Only then can we see where they are going and whether the package is worrh the money..Version: 1.1

Not a very helpful “free” app unless you payJust like what most of the reviews have stated, there’s no point in downloading this app, unless you’re willing to spend money on something you can most definitely get for free with other apps. The free to download offers little to no helpful content, therefore there’s no reason (except for one, which is mentioned below) to pay for the content when there are other free and much more reliable tools out there, such as Khan Academy. However, a special feature I like dearly about this app is the ability to interact with the graphs and animations. This feature, I believe, should be a premium access for those who are willing to learn more through interactions. However, the content itself should be provided for free of charge. Otherwise, I see no point in paying for the premium when there are more helpful sources out there. I’ve uninstalled this app as this is certainly not the app for me..Version: 1.2

LackingApp is clear for the topics it includes but really not enough topics covered. Especially considering I could get all of these on the internet. Many topics need to be included in geometry, calculus etc....Version: 1.2

I’m a high schoolerYeah it would be nice if all the formulas I need are not locked behind a pay wall. The examples don’t seem complete and they Aren’t explained well..Version: 1.2

Weak offering!!The best part about this app is the list of topics. I like this for some reason because it seems to help me grasp the breadth of mathematics. Otherwise, I don’t see any reason why you’d pay for a subscription for this information when there are at least 3 free alternatives that provide better features and content..Version: 1.2

0/10; DO NOT RECOMMENDWhen I saw this app featured on the front page, I was immediately interested and excited as a high schooler who loves math. I instantly downloaded it (“awesome! Its free!”) and 2 days later, I finally got the time to check it out. As soon as I started exploring topics, I was disappointed and angered to find that there was a “Premium” account available to purchase, and most information was only accessible by premium owners. I can’t even explain how disappointed I was, that an app that was lauded as “made by high schoolers for high schoolers” would require in-app purchases to access content! I hope the developers/creators see this and realize that this was a huge mistake on their part. Shame on you!.Version: 1.2

Barely splashes the surface...I don’t feel like the in-app purchase was worth it... barely enough examples, would like to see more. There needs to be A LOT more content as it only covers “very basic” concepts....Version: 1.1

Useless in trial formMay be fine if you spend the £3 for the full version. They would be wiser to allow access to a sample of full function (no pun intended)..Version: 1.1

Not the best and probably not the worstThe app isn’t really what I would call “interactive” and it is overall very shallow. The UI is mediocre at best and it doesn’t really feel any different from any free app. Idk for me the sorting is weird since they show u a table of anti derivatives before you even learn about integrals and how they work. Focus on organizing the math by difficulty if you can since there’s just section headers. Sometimes people don’t understand certain variables and symbols; so it would probably be a good idea to put like a hoverable ui element over symbols or math terms people may have forgotten or are unaware of. Overall I’m not really impressed and to me there are much better options out there rather than paying $3ish for premium. I’m pretty sure this team of people are new to app development but I think they should know what happens when they slap a price tag on their software (if they don’t know already). As people said before, khan academy is free of charge and is much better than this currently is (yes khan academy has much more resources but still), and the developers should focus on a way to make this app teach math in a unique and engaging way..Version: 1.2

Quota alike style of hiding content is crapDeleted wolfram is so much better.Version: 1.1

Disappointing number interactive activitiesExpecting more activities given free version. Lots formulae and calculations but more required..Version: 1.2

Family Sharing but not for the premium!?Says up 6 members can share yet it doesn’t allow family members to use the premium features....Version: 1.2

Very disappointing appDo not spend your money on this app, it is basically one of those plastic review sheets. The only interactivity is the selection of a topic to be displayed. The descriptions are limited to a single example with a brief explanation and sometimes a proof, which has no value in this setting. More examples are needed showing different circumstances. There is no mention of sequences and series which is a very important algebra topic. If it was free I probably would have deleted it also. Too bad. It sounded good but you had to pay to find out how lacking it is. Free google searches yield far superior content..Version: 1.2

Terrible!!!I thought this app had drills and exercises. It’s just formulas. The creators of the app sold me on the vision and the story behind the app. In reality. It’s just an app with static formulas you can find online for free or in the back of a textbook. Don’t buy. Waste of money..Version: 1.2

?Stop asking for a rating every two minutes. Let me play with it a little while first!.Version: 1.2

It’s ok I guess...I found this app because it was featured on the App Store. The calculation in their example is wrong. The app itself is ok for the price, but it’s definitely not for anyone who actually needs help or needs to learn the concepts (especially with incorrect numbers). Khan Academy is still the best and is free. UPDATE: Received a comment from the programmer. I don’t know how to reply directly, so hopefully they see this update. The error I noticed was in Bayes’ Theorem. I haven’t noticed any other errors because frankly, I quit looking at your app. Good concept... but it needs a lot of help!.Version: 1.2

This app is a virus, from the looks of itI downloaded this app for recaps on theorems when I needed them. It turned out to be an app I wasn’t looking for and I didn’t like it. I deleted it, and thought that was the end of it... I was wrong... it showed up on my home screen with that white background apps use have when they’re being installed instead of the actual thumbnail. I deleted it again, but came back again. And now I’m stuck in an endless loop of uninstalling it, it coming back, uninstalling it, it coming back, and so on. I’m not sure why it’s toying with me like this, but this is the only app I’ve seen this happen to. My guess is it has some virus in it that made its way to the AppStore. I’m not sure if this virus or whatever it is was planted purposely or accidentally, but either way, DOWNLOADERS BEWARE!!!!.Version: 1.2

TimingJust what my son needs.Version: 1.2

UselessI am back in college and taking Algebra II. I was hoping for some guidance with different problems including d=r*t but haven’t found anything on the app to help me. Waste of my money..Version: 1.2
