✓ Fun app!I got this app a few days ago and it’s fun to see your donuts keep piling up!! I think it would be great if, like others have said, there were customization options but also adding more detailed stats like daily logs (how much time you spent on each tag, etc) or the ability to press pause and take a break. It would be fun if Focus had an animation when eating donuts, or a story or illustration once a certain number of hours/donuts is reached... or if Focus brought his/her (its?) family along and you could “adopt” them or otherwise spice the app up. A visualization of my time spent really helps motivate me. I’d really appreciate a daily log, pause function, or easier way to access data first though!.Version: 2.6.3
✓ CheatingWell, I actually really like this app, but you can still cheat. Even though it says it will notify you when you go to another app, it doesn’t. The clock just keeps on running. But overall, the graphics are really cute and the intentions are great..Version: 2.1

It manages to hit the sweet spot between being simple enough to just get started (a few taps) and having enough low-stakes fun features (adding more donut types) to be motivating. I didn’t have very high expectations but was pleasantly surprised! It gives me just that little push I need to start on a task, and over time it’s become.. Pavlovian ;) Thank you creators! Big tasks seem less daunting when you tackle them in 5-25 minute sessions, and this app, unlike your standard phone timer, allows you to generate cutesy donuts with every session you complete and increase the happiness of your virtual dog! Pleasing the dog, collecting new donut recipes, and unlocking rewards by completing quests is proving to be a surprisingly effective motivator for me. ✓ Confusion Resolved!This app has helped me put my phone down and leave it, but I am extremely confused! I've collected donuts for around 8 or 9 hours total now, and I see which ones I've collected before I press "stop" (to end the timer or once I've reached my goal), yet I have not advanced in any of the donut collection goals! I tried pressing the donuts before stop this time around to see if I'm supposed to physically collect them, but that didn't do anything. I've collected over 50 donuts (according to the game stats). I'm currently doing a Master's degree at University and a lot of the time I'm tempted to stop my work and pick up my phone, but when I do the fun graphics and the cute little dog encourages me to keep going :) I really enjoy the gamification. I was previously a heavy user of forest, but I much prefer the UI of this app and I have a thing about ease of starting the timer - it's much easier to do that in this app - just open it and you're ready to press start which is great because it minimises the obstacles to you actually getting the work done. Overall I love this app. I however wish to see a break timer option when you finish a session soon, as I find it difficult to gauge exactly how much time has passed on my breaks..Version: 3.12.1
✓ Super super helpful if you have ADHDI have adhd & this trouble focusing and also get distracted. Also helpful if you’re trying to make yourself put down your phone to fall asleep. It’s a pretty simple concept (immediate, visible reward for not checking your phone to give you feedback + motivation to stay away) but it works super well for me. Turning this on really just allows me to ignore my phone. Plus you get cute donuts for a cute dog. I usually set a goal for ~20 min and often end up going way over. It’s great. If you use this, I often also put my phone in another room, in a drawer, or under a blanket when I have the timer on to make it even easier to take a break from my phone..Version: 3.8.1

✓ DONUT DOG/ FOCUS DOG- Best app ever!Focus dog the app is literally one of the best apps ever! It is so fun to play, I can beat my siblings, to see who can get more donuts and higher level. And I can also beat the focus app IQ, Patrick too! The aim of the app is to spend less time on phone by getting donuts every 10 mins to feed to focus dog, then with the money, buying upgrades and even helping real dogs in need! It keeps me motivated and spend way more time off my phone! My phone screen time came from 5-10 hours to only 1-2 hours, like that is literally crazy?!!?!! (BTW this is from a teen who uses the app) The only thing I would say is to maybe add a screen blocker, where only that app, can be used but other than that it is the best app ever!!!!!!.Version: 3.17.2
✓ More of the dog!I really like this app and it is helping me focus. I just have a few suggestions, well one! More graphics. After I have gotten a bunch of donuts I want to see the dog chow down on them. Really nom on my hard work. Hitting a button and getting confetti is nice but as a true 90s kid, who kept her Gigapet alive, I want to see that he is hungry and then not when I feed him. And name him if possible. Not a programmer so I don’t know how hard this would be but it would enhance the experience! ✓ I don’t regret getting pro versionI really love this app! It’s made grad school more bearable. It keeps me motivated to stay on task and I also like how you can tag your sessions so that you can see how much time you’ve spent on a certain task or activity. I’ve organized mine by class so I can see how much time overall I’m spending on each subject. Most of them are ones where I plant trees, which got kind of boring after a while. ✓ Great app but it made me lose 6 dollarsI love this app! It’s great to help me focus, but I did buy pro and i didn’t get it. Here’s what happened; I logged into my account on both my phone and iPad. I decided to buy pro on my iPad since my Apple Pay is on my iPad only. I then went on my phone (which had the same account logged in as my iPad) and saw there was no pro! ✓ Brilliant, but if only...I love this app so much and use it every day which is why it would much more convenient if there was a horizontal version. Also, it would be really nice if, after we made donuts, instead of a whole page appearing to congratulate us and then we have click an "x", it was just a small bubble on the side doing the same thing, but it disappears by itself after a second or two. I love the game but and the donut dog but it is meant to keep you off your phone/iPad and the timer keeps going while you are off the app, so it is marking you go on the app more to check it. But apart from that is is a really good idea and I love it (look I gave it a five star). Also what would be a good idea would be if you could change the character of you “donut dog” and could feed it something out her than donuts, and Make it so it can die if your on your phone/iPad.
