✓ Complication DisappearsCool app but have persisted with a problem for sometime now. Every day the complication on my Apple Watch 5 disappears from the watch face. This has been an ongoing issue for around a year. Each time they release an update, I’m convinced it will resolve this but never does. I have repeatedly to report the problem but can’t find any way to do so, hence this poor review. If they could find some way to fix this long term bug, or provide an area to report any issues, this would receive 5 stars. Instead, 1 will have to do..Version: 1.40

✓ Default location is AntarcticaI purchased the annual subscription because i gauge my work by first light and sunrise, which this app showed accurately and effortlessly on my part, on previous Apple Watch. Watch malfunctioned so Apple sent a replacement. Now the watch won’t show Los Ángeles settings for anything. Instead it showssome undisclosed place where first light is at 9:05PM, sunrise at 9:40PM, where the sun sets at 9:44AM and last light is at 10:19AM. Are these the Solar details for Antarctica or the Arctic circle? Who gives a -_*#? Apple says they might only license the subscription to one Apple Watch and my replacement might need to be taken up with the developers. I went to the App Store to reach out to the developers only to get a message saying thewebsite linked to the app might be acting as SOLAR WATCHto steal my personal or financial information and i cannot reach out to them. So i guess i am poo-poo out of luck and this is a loss all around..Version: 1.40

✓ Avoid this appI purchased this app a few days ago and based on the reviews jumped straight in and purchased the full version. What a waste of money. I have tried every way to get the compass and AR features to work and they don’t. The map view is unusable as it is obscured by coloured line’s and is such low resolution no locations can be recognised. Whenever the map is moved or rotated the sun stays in the same place regardless of any settings are selected. The same goes for the AR mode, the sun is completely in the wrong direction and any dates that are displayed are incorrect even if you have set the correct date in the settings. If apple or the developer would like to offer me a refund I would have no hesitation in taking it. So please don’t be like me and waste your money..Version: 1.24

✓ Glitchy on WatchWanted to purchase the app but it’s been really glitchy on my Apple Watch. The solar time ‘complication’ frequently displays the wrong time. ✓ Map function uselessPaid for the month to test it. Glad I did and didn’t pay more. The map function is useless. It has lines all over it so you can’t see it- presumably the direction of light but is so thick you can’t actually see the map below! You can’t zoom in as it just zooms back out again and is of such poor quality visibly its pointless . Might as well remove it from the app. Could have been great as this function would have been great if worked. Nice looking UI buts whats the point of that if the app doesn’t function as it should! ✓ Notifications issueI subscribed to get notifications but its not working at all , i set them and enabled them but nothing worked , I deleted the app and installed it again and set the notification again but that didn’t fixed it , i then installed the app on my iPad and hoped the it will work but it didn’t, hope this can be fixed , and i hope to see all twilight times for the day in the Apple Watch App.Version: 1.12
✓ Great Concept Marred by BugsSolarWatch boasts an exciting concept with its unique features and niche appeal. However, the execution of the Apple Watch compilations has been rather disappointing, leading to an unsatisfactory experience. The app is riddled with bugs which result in numerous inaccuracies - displaying wrong events at incorrect times and locations. This has significantly reduced the usability of the app and prevented me from utilizing it as I initially intended. What's even more frustrating is that these issues have persisted despite recent updates, which if anything, seem to have exacerbated the problems rather than rectify them. If these bugs were to be addressed and the app functioned as promised, I would easily rate it 5 stars. The concept is unique and has immense potential, but its current state of operation is simply not up to par. I hope to see substantial improvements in the future versions..Version: 1.50

✓ Off-line use disappointingI like the simple straightforward way it presents information, but I have an extreme problem with off-line use it will not allow me to access my presets or to manually enter in longitude and latitude or to save those to presets when I am offline. Example if I do not have access to Wi-Fi or cell tower and the GPS is on I would like to be able to save that as a present and then access it later but currently I cannot save that to device while off-line..Version: 1.17.3

✓ GarbageThis app doesn’t really have a free version and the pay version is only by subscription. I was looking for a replacement for Solar Dawg which is discontinued. I would gladly pay for that so I could install on my new phone. I could not figure out how to work this app and clicking on ? only brings up the purchase nag screen. Not for me, that’s for sure! ✓ I dislike misleading appsI really dislike misleading apps. This app’s free version is useless other than basically telling you sun up and sun down. All the useful features are locked for the Gold subscription. Like the mapping function and AR mode. I don’t mind that developers want to make money on their creations but at least be honest in you app description. ✓ Poor designI’m a subscriber and would like to see twilight times for upcoming dates, but the slider on the calendar view is so tiny and sensitive that it’s impossible to choose a date and then tap on a node so you can see a different time of day (ie any time other than Solar Noon). The minute you touch the screen, the date shifts. Very frustrating. Please consider putting in a real date selector. It would also be nice to choose a different alert tone other than the iOS default alert sound..Version: 1.11.3
✓ Complication?It’s very pretty, but I used it as one of my complications and can’t make sense of it. The graphic doesn’t appear to have anything to do with the current time i. e. It’s now 8pm on June 25 and the complication on the watch, if you were to read it like the app, would make it look like it’s the middle of the night.
