✓ Best app for competitive ahootersLet’s face it! You go to an USPSA, IPSC, IDPA match. Then you get the results and you say “what if I had a Charlie instead of a Mike?” Or “that jam cost me 5 seconds, what if I take off the 5 seconds from that stage?. Well, your prayers have been answered! This app is what you need to figure out exactly what happen during the match. No more guessing work. Need to shave 5 seconds and see the result, do it! ✓ Useful, but tricky to figure outThis app is great for comparing your results in any match your participated in. Also great for reviewing Practiscore results more in-depth than just reading the tables online. Looking up your scores is as simple as entering your USPSA number or your name. The app provides an overview for each stage either by score, % scored, and accuracy (how many As, Cs, etc.). There’s also a feature which allows you to edit scores and see a sort of “what-if” scenario had you shot differently. This is great for looking at your classifier scores, or even comparing yourself to someone else. Unfortunately, the UI is a bit tough to figure out. There are parts of that app where navigation isn’t very intuitive. Also, it took me a little while to figure out that a lot of the features are only available by SWIPING on a competitor’s name. Still though, after figuring out how to navigate, the app’s features are a lot more useful. I might recommend that the developers include a tutorial when you first launch the app or even a link/embedding a YouTube tutorial. Aside from that, I’d definitely recommend the app if you like to look at your Practiscore results in detail. $10 is a very fair asking price considering that Practiscore desktop is free. ✓ Makes it easier to show your friends how badly you beat themSure, you could wait until you get home and then email screenshots to your friends showing them how badly they did compared to you, but why? Spend a few bucks and you can show them as soon as the scores get uploaded! Not only does it show the raw scores, you can compare shooters directly. “See how much faster I shot this stage compared to you?” You can also compare your score to the local hot dog to see where he’s beating you. You can’t fix what you can’t measure. Having that displayed in a graphical form makes it easier to understand. Spend a few bucks so you can see your scores easily and feel good knowing those dollars go towards paying the guy who built the free app that makes practical shooting scoring happen at all..SdsorrentinoVersion: 1.2.6

✓ Great Analysis ToolInitially I wasn’t too sure about the app because I didn’t spend the time understanding the UI. Once I figured it out, how to analyze my scores and compare side by side with the top shooters, how to analyze my classifieds, it suddenly became my go-to tool after every match. I have recently derived the equations myself to calculate how much time I can spend on getting A vs. C based on the HF of a stage, only to realize that the actual numbers are already displayed in this app. Very happy that the math is already there and that I can look it up quickly. There are some minor bugs, but the author is updating the app, so it’s a matter of cleaning it up. Recently, the classifier analysis is backwards, with some crazy HF for lower classes. Sometimes, the shooters all show with 100%, likely a refresh issue with connectivity. Oh, well. Still, the data in the app is as useful for match analysis as a timer is to improving transitions. (I shoot USPSA and am a certified RO. Also have a PhD in computer science, in machine learning.).IVCadezVersion: 1.1.25

✓ Finally on iOS!The PractiScore Competitor app is finally here on iOS and it's well worth the money! It's in the works, but looking forward to the update that will implement the what-if scenario like on Android; it allows you to finally get a answer to questions like what your score would be overall if you didn't hit that no-shoot or what if you did a stage faster and got all hits in.
