✓ Step countSteps. Why do the steps no longer update of phone? Visible on watch - not on phone. Just bought another SpaceTalk watch wondering if watch was problem even though Soacetalk people tested it and said it was app. They were right. It’s the app. Same problem. Severe security risk as person using it has dementia. Step count used to work reliably. ..Version: 3.19.3
✓ Not worth itWatch doesn’t receive calls. Can’t access voice mail. Now the device has dropped off the app and you can’t pair it twice. I have to reset the watch. Go to reset the watch and it says it can’t because I need to renew through the app. Hopeless and swish I’d never invested the purchase price. It’s not even a year old. Customer service emails where good but told me I needed another provider which isn’t helpful when you want to bundle five people in a family..Version: 3.19.3
✓ For $400 really disappointedWhere do I start. watch strap breaking in half it constantly goes flat and the back of the SIM card keeps falling off and the paint has come off it. I can’t actually use it as whenever I need to phone her it’s gone flat. The all my tribe app never updates. ✓ Fail"Contacts" doesn't contact. Says "no contacts" although in the app the contact is clearly correct. - -also, the device fails to respond to swipes to the left when I try to go to "settings". -aalso I get messages to upgrade the operating system but here on my iPhone I can find no option to do that. If endless numbers of customers are having these problems your company will crash, and I was so unwise as to buy shares on it!!!.Version: 3.9.1

✓ Good concept but needs workMy sons Watch is “playing up”. I was happy with it for about 2 weeks, now the reminders I have set keep going off at random times. Which is causing him distress at school as he thinks he’s meant to be meeting me and I’m not there as the alarm has gone off on the wrong day. Also the gps doesn’t update at the times that have been set. And if he receives a message he has to wait 10mins before reading it as the watch goes “blank” when clicking on messages. ✓ TerribleThis app is supposed to be an integral part of a secure system you can entrust your children too....setup is close to impossible! Activation codes don’t arrive, when they do the app hangs constantly and provides no place for those codes to be entered, rendering the watch unusable. ✓ Great Watch - App needs some crucial tweakingJust purchased the Adventurer 2 for our 9 year old. The watch is quite pricey but it is great quality. We waited until it was on sale. The monthly app subscription and sim plan are definitely higher than what we were expecting so we are trialing it at this stage. It’s a great first step before a mobile phone. The features and limitations are great. The app itself is not the easiest to set up. We are pretty IT savvy and it wasn’t clear in some parts. Notifications are a problem. Beware using the chat function - There are no notifications sent to your phone app when you receive one, nor is there a little red 1 notification next to the app if there is one waiting like all other apps. My son had sent a chat message to me multiple times however I had no idea. Spacetalk - please update this! The other thing that would be useful is if the user of the watch misses a call, text or chat that the notification stays on the home screen - again calls, texts and chats are missed unless they physically swipe and check each icon on their phone..Version: 5.3.7
✓ It is a rip off!It is not clearly stated that when you buy a watch you also need to pay for an expensive app subscription to be able to use basic functionality. It is always mentioned in subtext. I am definitely not happy..Version: 3.18.4
✓ Poor UpdateNew update today, really disappointed with it. The Map page isn’t as clear and starts to far out so you can’t glance easily to find a location where your child is. When you attempt to make the map easier to read by reducing the map, the ‘safe area’ in a fairly dark orange makes it difficult to easily see exact location of your child. Wish we could uninstall and go back to the old version. The map page is now very poor and this is the most important page in the App..Version: 4.1.0

✓ Unreliable Watch but excellent serviceBought the watch in January 2018. Had a number of connection issues throughout the year. The watch would go offline meaning wearer could not use the watch and I could not track or phone them. I would return the watch for repairs but same problems would arise a few weeks later. After 9 months I received a replacement watch but connection problems persisted. Watch wasn’t reliable for me. When it worked it was great but it simply didn’t work often enough. If my son was in an emergency situation, I could not rely on the watch to locate or contact him. I eventually gave up. Like other kids GPS watches on the market, unreliability is a problem. Hopefully technology advancements in years to come will resolve this issue. If you have the money, I recommend an Apple Watch-it’s the only watch I’ve found to work reliably. One final note-the service this company provides was exceptional. Just a shame the product didn’t match it..Version: 3.13.3

✓ Why Paid SubscriptionAs far as the app goes it has few features and they work without issue. My only negative is the need to have a paid subscription to use a watch with this app. For the 2+ years I used this there never were any updates. So if the app is not getting improved with the money why charge? Given there are other similar free apps just like this (Kids Watch) the value for money is not there..Version: 5.2.8
✓ Not Recommended!!! Nothing but a complete fail of a watch!Watch is Extremely unreliable! Have a Telstra sim as recommended by spacetalk and still constantly loosing position and not able to locate! Out of range most of the time! Sydney metro not evening in the country? Customer service want me to send watch to inspect and keep my 6 year old without a replacement with no way to keep track of! The point of the watch is to keep track obviously!!! Try telling them that you think they would be the first to agree! Work that out! Very disappointed.....Version: 3.18.7
✓ It works - but not without issuesIt works as a phone and for messaging but recently notification alerts have stopped working properly - wear alerts happen in the middle of the night, notifications occur as pop ups but then cannot be found in the app and the notifications list has stopped since 27 January 2024. ✓ Frustrating and false sense of securityWe have not had a positive experience at all with this app and the SPACETALK watch. These products are unreliable and I would not purchase again. I’ve had to return the watch because it overheated to where my daughter had to remove it from her wrist and the data connection would constantly drop out making it stressful when I tried reaching her at after school events. The malfunction was supposedly caused by sweat getting into the SIM, and the repaired watch (only 6 months old) was returned without a SIM. Delivery of new SIM took several days, and now I’m having issues installing it. I keep getting locked out of the app with a message that my subscription has expired... again. I now need to wait for the office hours to get support - good start to the day. Another week that we can’t rely on using this watch. Should have bought an Apple Watch - might be more expensive, but at least I know I can rely on it! Don’t waste your time on SPACETALK or AllMyTribe - not worth it..Version: 3.13.3
✓ When it works, it is fantastic.The first few months the watch was going really well. But now I’m having issues where it doesn’t track or it says it’s not connected to the network. And to top it off, the back bit that holds the sim in fell out somewhere? My child is very careful with this watch and removes it after school. Another thing that would make this phone even better, WATERPROOF!! Why didn’t designers think to do this? Even though we have had some technical and structural issues with this watch. I still recommend this product. I have tracked my child when meeting at a new pick up area. ✓ Loop Watch Product FailI returned the Loop watch that I purchased 5 weeks ago and requested a refund. As I purchased the Loop watch for my daughter to wear to school, although the texts are limited to preset texts which is very clumsy and the biggest disappointment is that the battery does not even last the full school day which makes the watch useless. Which is disappointing as I had previously purchased a Spacetalk Adventurer 2 watch that has been mostly good. Also since returning the Loop watch I have now found that I will need to forfeit the remainder of the Spacetalk 365 day wearable plan that I had purchased as the SIM card cannot be used in a phone. The only way I can continue to use the 365 day plan is to purchase another Spacetalk watch product which is not fair trading and should not be allowed. ✓ Wrist band keeps falling offBoth my kids have this watch. We had the old ones which didn’t last, so bought the adventure one. It’s chunky for a little wrist. The kids love calling me on it before and after school. The GPS isn’t very accurate. So probably could have saved myself $200 per watch and just bought the plain watch series for $135 each kid. You’ll also need a monthly subscription per kid if you buy the gps series. On top of your $15/ month SIM card per kid. The on and off button is underneath which is super annoying because by the time you push in the press stud on the wrist band , the kids can’t turn it off and on which they need to do several times a day. Off the save the battery. On when they want to know the time or call me, off when at school. On when school is finished. A on/off button on the side of the phone was much more convenient. the wrist band always pops off the kids wrists during the day. Soo annoying! $349 this watch cost and it can’t even stay in their wrist! They end up leaving their watch in their school bags because it’s annoying . So maybe just give them your old phone and delete all apps or put some block on screen time..Version: 5.1.1
✓ Update has stuffed the location featureWe loved this watch until the update with the “location on demand” feature came along. Now the location never updates as it should and the location on demand has not worked once. The GPS feature is now effectively useless..Version: 3.12.0
✓ Great gadget but needs a reliable Network to workWe bought 2 for our sons and occasionally whilst they’re both connected and linked to our landline - there is always 1 of the 2 at different times when it does not connect to network. The error message railways appears. Slightly disappointing given we got them to ensure our 9&11 year olds were able to contact is anytime. Going back to Spark to try and get this ongoing problem resolved especially before school returns..Version: 3.18.5
✓ TjhuttonOverall not bad, had done a lot of research into various brands and this wasn’t my number 1 choice, the moochies brand was better priced and more functional. Due to time restraints had to settle on these for my 2 daughters (8 & 7) albeit they love them. My biggest complaint is battery life and that they have to be put on charge every night, they only just manage to get through the day and also the sos button is to easy to knock, not sure on a solution fix for that.Version: 3.13.3
✓ TerribleWe got this watch for our daughter who is 10, we didn’t feel she was ready for a phone so this looked a good option, as I can add her contacts so I always know she is not getting contacted by strangers. However, the battery lasts from 8.30am to about 4pm (this is whilst it is on school mode so little function). The location is not accurate and can put her in another location to the one I know she is if.. for example.. she will appear to be in a house 4 doors away when I know she is at home... this is fine when I know where she is but what if I was trying to find her? The step function is completely inaccurate (not a major issue but a factor when you take into account the cost of the watch versus a Fitbit) We usually have to restart the phone when my daughter puts it on as it will tell me on my app she has 6% battery and can’t locate her.. not ideal! Our main reason for getting this watch was always a stepping stone to a phone, to have a good gps tracker as we begin to allow our daughter to walk the 250 yards to school, a phone function in which she can call her friends and enable her to have some independence whilst feeling reassured. I wouldn’t buy this watch again, it’s far too expensive for the lack of function..Version: 3.18.5

You can’t change your password unless you’re in the app (so email link doesn’t arrive if requested via desktop) and then, when you do manage to change it (link arrives if requested via app), the new password doesn’t work in the desktop site and disables your account. ✓ BATTERY LIFE IS VERY SHORTThe watch is very helpful and is a great help to give kids some independence and parents peace of mind. Battery life is very short can only last the day.. changing the frequency of location updates slowed battery consumption but still short. ✓ Early Days, some things missing.I will update my review if things change as we have only had the SpaceTalk Watch a short while and it seems great so far. However a few things seem to be lacking which I thought would have been in there, especially for the price! This is the reason for a star deduction on each thing. In the AllMyTribe app I should be able to see what calls and messages have been made and sent. Or at least just who they went to and from and the timestamp. I get there may be some data protection and privacy laws needing covered there, but surely the number and timestamp at a minimum would be okay. It is all fine and well checking on the watch, but that data is easily deleted by the child. It would be good to know if our child is bugging his contacts before we get a message from them to let us know haha. The location pinging seems to be pretty slow at times, I get that it is using 3G, but I can imagine in a frantic panicky moment, that 30 seconds will feel like a lifetime haha. So finding a way to speed that up way quicker would be better. No iPad app? It is rather frustrating having to put the iPad into portrait mode and zoom in when viewing it there. Please optimise it for iPad use too..Version: 3.19.3

✓ It does the basicsI love the concept of a watch that allows communication for/with your child without fear of the “online” environment. You have COMPLETE control over who they can contact and also who can contact them. Even if they give their number out, if you haven’t approved them, the messages won’t get through. It adds an element of safety when your child is off being independent. This alone is what makes it worthwhile for me. However outside of that the functions are very basic, it would be great if they put some flexibility into the software’s features. It is quite chunky. And the system is not the cheapest once you combine the subscription with data costs. But there aren’t too many (if any?) other options pre your child having an actual phone..Version: 3.19.2

Can’t set reminders for my son, can’t get update for him to free text, for the past 2 weeks it’s been telling me his location is some random place on the other side of town we’ve never been. Most of the time it says it has no service/reception. This is like a very expensive toy really - it is most definitely not something I am able to rely on for reassurance of his safety and whereabouts. ✓ Bad product, not a great serviceWe bought it for our daughter and it didn’t charge, so, they gave us a new charger, just to experience the same problem few months later. We did complaint, but they offered to fix 4 months old watch instead of giving us replacement. When you buy their watch, you have to pay for monthly membership together with getting a SIM card. In this 4 months, we weren’t be able to use it as often as needed. Don’t get it from this provider..Version: 3.18.5
