✓ New music is stressfulI love this app. My children have used it for years and it’s the only screen time I encourage them to do. But with this update the music has changed and it’s terrible. The old music was beautiful — peaceful and melodic and I didn’t mind hearing it play when my kids used the app. (A rare thing for kids’ toys not to have obnoxious sounds/music). The new music is in-a-hurry piano music and is very stressful to listen to. I hope you all change the music back!.Version: 7.2.0

Original 12/25 review: This has been the only app I’ve ever let my 2.5 year old use. I’ve paid more for this app than any other. After using the free trial, we subsequently paid for the subscription and it has helped my kid learn letters and numbers. I’ve appreciated the relative simplicity and the lack of flashiness when compared with similar educational apps. Until this morning. This morning, Mickey Mouse Disney ads started popping up every minute. It’s ruining the experience and is infuriating. We’ll be cancelling if this isn’t eliminated. Please fix this and apologize for what was essentially a bait-and-switch move. Even if the frequency of the ads was an unintentional bug, its still unacceptable to try to sneakily show advertisements to my child..Version: 3.4.1
✓ The best toddler app!We’ve been using this app since our child was 1 year old. He’s now 2 1/2 years old. He knows the entire alphabet, can count to 10, knows all his colors, shapes, sings along to all the adorable little songs and speaks in full sentences. This app is worth every penny. I love that it updates and provides new games/songs/books and it really sticks to the Eric Carle themed art. I have nothing negative to say about this app. It’s been amazing. ✓ I feel tricked into a £50 subscriptionAs with other reviews here, I didn’t realise I would be charged an annual subscription of £50 once the free 7 day trial finished. ✓ Correction of previous reviewI had reported that there wasn’t sound, but I got a response and was able to correct the issue. No issue with ads here and my 2.5 y/o son is still obsessed (currently mastering puzzles and card matching) and I’m confident he is learning rather than mindlessly watching the screen. ✓ So hard to opt outSo I have just also been charged a year subscription when I thought I had turned off automatic renewal. Can I just say you make it really hard to do this. The instructions on how to turn off automatic renewal should be much much clearer and easier to find. ✓ Nice app but they will rip you off $A bit of a scam as the default option is for a one year subscription - pricey - so if you don’t change it before the 7 day trial you will get charged a fortune like I did. I certainly didn’t want a year subscription so I’m disappointed by this. My 3.5 yo daughter is a bit bored by it so that’s even more disappointing. ✓ Great learning app, BUT (read this!)I was really impressed with this app and my three year old loved interacting with the caterpillar. BUT be sure to read the way subscriptions and auto renewals work. If you think you will get a chance to say “no thanks” at the end of the trial period, think again. You must manually turn off auto renewal 24 hours prior to the end of your trial. I am still weighing if the price of this is worth it- it’s a GREAT app, but $89.99 a year worth of great...? ✓ AdsThis is a really great app for kids, done really well. My daughter and I both enjoy all the fun things to do with in the app. I like how the content is updated frequently. My only complaint is the ads inside the App even after purchasing subscription for one year. I often pay to have ads removed so my daughter doesn’t encounter them while playing apps. Ads are such a nuisance and distracting, especially in the middle of gameplay. It would be my suggestion that you remove ads inside the game for subscription users..Version: 3.2.0

In fact I never knew until now how therapeutic and healing a child’s eye’s view of the world can be. To my mind children these days are not awarded the time and respect they so richly deserve....”The Hungry Caterpillar” has always been a great hit in this household and our eldest grandson, aged just under six, wrote a fabulous story based on it and called “The Hungry Alien”. It is a real joy and pleasure to hear and see him reading it!
