✓ IN SUMMARY: DON’T DOWNLOAD THIS APPI downloaded a free trial and my kids didn’t use the app once, despite encouragement to do so. I found it lacking too and forgot all about it and then got charged the £50 subscription. Before you cut and paste your developers response to this review, firstly to be clear; Yes I used my fingerprint to download. But you always have to download apps with a password or fingerprint, even free apps. Yes there was mention of a subscription but why on earth do you feel the need to TRICK people into subscribing by having a free period followed by a subscription that the customer needs to opt out of? It screams of desperation and greed and suggests that you need cheap tricks to sell your product. Here’s a free tip (and I’m not even going to sign you up to my yearly paid for tip giving service) rather than tricking people into a subscription, release a ‘lite trial version’ with an option to upgrade. If your app is good and priced correctly, it will sell. Your customers will be your customers through choice, rather than a silly mistake (what busy parent has time to remember this nonsense right) and you’ll have fewer negative reviews from people who feel like they’ve been robbed. The app itself has some nice ideas but you can get plenty of cheaper or free apps with better game play and features. My advice to anyone looking to download this app... DON’T DO IT..Version: 3.0.0

✓ Bugs and stops, a couple UI suggestionsIn the blocks-to-holes game, my daughter will trigger an offscreen event like Siri or the camera and then when I bring this app back up, she can’t move the block; it’s locked it the coordinates where she’d placed it when the event was triggered. Also, she often wants to just start over when painting the letters rather than painting the whole thing white. I’ve worked around this by going back, then forward, but a quick-erase and confirm option (so kids don’t accidentally erase their painting) would be good so I can just cook while she and her sister race to destroy my iPad. ✓ Sneaky subscriptionsI can see I’m not the only one who got slammed with an $85 automatic subscription by accident. I can also see the developer replies to all of the other parents with “it was clearly stated, totally not our fault!” This is really unethical for a children’s app. If the developer was confident in their product, they wouldn’t have to sneak a subscription past parents. They’d offer a free trial, then lock the user out when it expires, giving parents an opportunity to purchase in a much more respectful and deliberate way. However, to participate in the “free trail”, you have to select a subscription. I found that very deceiving. There are other apps (i.e. Dr. Suess Treasury) that allow a free trial then block the content until you subscribe. I really prefer that method over this since you don’t feel trapped or tricked. ✓ Cute but...Cute app and my 2 year old son enjoys it but I signed up for a monthly, at which my first month was deducted and this month they charge me for the full year?! ✓ Questionable subscriptionI too was caught out with being charged a 1 yr subscription. Apple won’t refund and you, despite a number of people giving feedback, still continue with a practice that enables us to be stuck paying $69.99. In my case it turned out not to be the app I was looking for which I couldn’t find out until I’d done all the steps. So not only have I paid but I can’t even use the app. I won’t be risking subscriptions through apple or anything else through this developer. Just for the record I don’t normally write negative reviews because I feel bad for those on the receiving end. In this case I don’t understand your practice. All this requires is that it default to a 1 month subscription to start with. I was willing to pay $69.99 for the app I wanted but not this one..Version: 4.1.0
✓ MisleadingDownloaded the app, states on download the monthly cost. After spending 10 minutes on the app with my child I found the app mediocre at best and non responsive when it came to my child playing the shape games. Went to cancel subscription, it WAS ON £50 to be deducted from my account.
