✓ Love it but....I signed up through the Cantonese ~ here ~ and it said that I needed to go to the Drops host-app to get updates, but my subscription doesn’t transfer?!? What’s up with that? There was actually a pop-up that said it would transfer into the host app. Now I see it doesn’t. . . Which means that I can’t get updates, and I can’t use the host app. It doesn’t sync. ✓ Great for Vocab, Not for Full ProficiencyThis app has a clean interface and makes it easy to squeeze in 5 min/day lessons. It teaches tons of vocabulary and small sentences, however this is where I have a few criticisms: - It does not teach tones, so a new learner will be lost - It does not break down the sentences for you. So if you are absolutely new to Cantonese, this will not be the most helpful resource to learn grammar or sentence construction. - It sometimes teaches written Cantonese vocabulary instead of spoken and vice versa, and they don’t clarify when this is happening. If you were to use the wrong word during a conversation in real life, people will probably understand you, but it is kind of awkward. Overall it’s a decent and clean app for learning, but I would be hesitant to recommend it to an absolute beginner to Cantonese, especially since the written and spoken words aren’t clarified..NakkidFrodoVersion: 34.80

✓ DecentOnly Cantonese resource available, besides Duolingo. So, at least there’s that. You have to speak mandarin to use the Duolingo Cantonese feature, which I do speak fluent mandarin, but I’m not the biggest Duolingo fan. With that being said this app is ok. It’s more of a vocabulary builder and not a language learning app where you construct advanced sentences and etc. That’s where this app lacks compared to Duolingo. This app does however have a massive amount of vocabulary you can learn. I don’t like that Duolingo doesn’t show jyutping so you have to listen over and over to figure out the tones. Just started this several days ago I’ll see if it’s any better later on and possibly update my review…. Needs some podcast style conversation building or listening practice and sentence construction aspect. Especially for someone who can already read Chinese characters.NofeezyVersion: 34.80
