✓ You think you’ll be using your eyes to tune? You’re wrongGet an acoustic that’s out of tune, put your phone in front of you, start tuning. The visuals of this kind of allow you to half close your eyes to concentrate on the note pitch while being positively ‘guided’ to the correct pitch by a swathe of colour and movement. And I know it sounds like my headline title is contradicting what I’ve just said about ‘not using your eyes’ but here’s the thing, when I use this tuner it seems as though my ears get ‘positive reinforcement’ from the visuals so that they are actually doing more of the tuning now, far more quickly.
