Amazing App for Logging and Scheduling Workouts but…After 3 days of using this app I can confidently say that this is the best app for logging routines and scheduling workouts. The demonstration of the workouts and knowing which muscles are being worked on is a huge plus for beginners. The only downside to this app is that you have to pay in order for the Apple Watch compatibility to work..Version: 1.10

If you have a terrible memory, this is for you.This app is amazing. Throughout my workouts, I would always forget which set I’m on. This app allows you to click on complete after every set while also allowing you to create your own workouts (besides the ones they already have). It has amazing offers and the prices are very reasonable for a college student on a budget!! I love how with every single workout, a short video is added with instructions. It shows which muscles the workout hits AND the side muscles. I truly couldn’t find such information on any other platform— neither could I from coaches. On a side note, I do think it would be REALLY really cool if the app had an option to take pictures of yourself with a reminder set optionally as to have every gym related things in one app and simply for progress. As for myself, I can never have such pictures placed in my camera roll for fear of something happening to them. I really wish I knew about this app sooner. Would’ve saved me so much trouble with remembering my sets!!.Version: 1.15

Awesome App, Premium has some bugsI’ve only had this app for a few days and it’s great and I would love to give it five stars because it does everything I could want and more on the premium version. The only reason I took off a star is because almost every time I open the app I have to reactivare my premium. I can’t access the features until I do this each time. Can’t recommend this app enough!I continue to be super impressed with this app. The free version lets you build out your own workouts and the timer helps me get 2x done in the gym than what I would before this app. Some of the workouts could probably use some better tagging in the names so they are easier to find on the fly but this is an app with huge value in my gym routine. Best foundation to your fitness goals.Worth the download and purchase cause it’s useful. And it has massive growth potential. When you view this as an amazing work in progress fitness app it truly is a brilliantly built app. (Better than most things on the market) The developer seems very excited for feedback and outreach from the community. This is very easy to use during tough lifting sessions where you want to mitigate intrusiveness of you record managing apps. Simplicity in design like a pencil and paper. This is that but in application form. This is essentially what you want when you’re working out. Best workout tracking app hands downI’ve tested multiple apps for tracking my workouts and this is the best one by far. I have my own training program so I hate when apps try to force theirs down my throat. Flex does offer some of their own programs but it’s up to you whether you use them. They have a super slick and easy to use UI and the new live actuvities and watch companion app are amazing and super useful. I can’t recommend this app enough 🤩.Version: 2.6

Great App, SuggestionsThis is by far the best app for journaling all my workouts to see progression, the UI is very user friendly. A suggestion I have for a future update is to have an option to label sets as “dropsets” or “failure”, and also to have subtracted weight to assisted movements like the assisted dip/ pull up. Almost thereReally like this app, but is missing a pretty big feature of being able to create multiple plans to switch too and from. Right now, you can only have one plan and if you create a new one, it immediately erases your old one and the entire exercise history which is a pretty big bug that is the only reason I put 4 stars not 5. Once they have this feature and can successfully cache exercise history, I will change this review to 5 stars..Version: 1.10.6

Odd calorie countingLogging calories oddly, I have both this app and a calorie tracker connected to my fitness app by apple. So any calories burned will allot me more calories to eat. By the time I started my workout today I burned 400 calories. The app said my workout should be around 250 calories, but by the time I’m done my fitness app says I’ve burned 1000 calories, this now affects my calorie counter and I do t know how many calories I need to eat for the rest of the day because this app has inflated that number. Other than this the app is great.Version: 1.14.2

Terrible AppAh yes flex, the only app I’ve had that has literally only gotten worse and worse after every single update, used to love the app and recommend it to everyone, now everyone I’ve recommended it to, I’m telling to cancel their subscriptions before they renew because of how awful the app is, anytime you give a review, you show how update the app and f it up even more, im done waiting for your stupid updates just to be even more and more disappointed, I’ll stick to pen and paper, way more reliable then your app will ever be Edit- Not only did this app permanently mess up my Spotify now every time even after the app has been deleted does it ask me for my permissions, I messed up my entire Apple health data, deleted all my workout progression and didn’t save it, yet still takes up my iCloud storage? So close to perfect!Perfect app, except for one thing: I assign certain workouts to certain days, but they are off centered. For instance, “Push” is on Tuesday and Friday for me, and it is the same in my plan, but when I look at my calendar, it is on Monday and Thursday. Is there any way to fix this? Best Workout App for Intermediate and Advanced TrainingI’ve been weight training for about 12 years and one of the biggest keys to success in the gym is consistency workout to workout. Flex is built exactly for this. It allows you to build your own workouts in a simple, easy to use format. There are premade workouts available for beginners but I don't think this is really the app’s strength. It remembers your last weight and set for each exercise and carries it over to the next workout. It tracks your rest (which you can customize) And if you make modifications intra-workout, you can save those for the next time as well. The stats dashboard is helpful for tracking progress, though could use some improvement and more detail. Try it out for free, but if you have an apple watch, you’ll definitely want to pay for it, the logging on the watch has changed my ability to stay focused and keep my phone away while working out. Overall an amazing app if you want a highly customizable, simple interface logging app that doesn't push a specific training style or set of workouts..Version: 2.0

Great appThis is a great app and all but it keeps telling me to connect to wifi and also when I try to put phone number it says that the phone number isn’t real and to add a read number. I like to workout with it but right now I can’t log into my 2 accounts. For free, it’s pretty good!I’ve been trying to find an app that has programs to use but also allows me to add in my own sets/workouts, and so far I love this app for that! Although, there is a BIG limitation if you’re only using it for free, like me. $100+ a year is expensive for a college student like myself for a fitness app. That $100 could go to use elsewhere. And only having the free version limits the ability of trying new workouts, connecting my music, and editing the workouts beyond the weight and reps. I’m debating on purchasing the premium version, but am still trying the free version now to see if I can get used to it. There are some workouts I’m actually surprised aren’t automatically in the database like standard military presses or landmine squats. But, adding them as my own exercise is really easy! So, overall, I do love the app, I just wish there would be more options with the free/non-premium version. Definitely recommend to those who want an app that’s good with rest time, easy changes to weights and reps, and for beginners who may not know where to start!.Version: 1.11.0

Simple And EasyFull disclosure, I was lucky enough to be part of the beta testing. The app was great through the testing and was nearly flawless and rock solid. It is easy to set-up, use and track progress. I tried a few others before but found them awkward. Can you bring back the workout timer😭I always use this app to work out, definitely a staple. But a few of the things I noticed with the new update is that 1, it doesn’t show the amount of time you’ve been working out for during the work out, and 2. When you start to work out, you can’t swipe out of the workout and switch between other interfaces of the app. I specifically used this function a lot to double check how much weight I may have done my previous workout and that would influence the amount I would do in that moment. Other than that, I like this app a lot, so it’d be nice if these features were brought into the next updates😭.Version: 2.0

Smooth and easy to use!I absolutely love this app. As a college student studying exercise science, this app allows me to track almost everything lifting wise, and gives me stats after the workout for me to go over, including personal bests! I’ve been looking all over for an app like this, and flex is absolutely perfect for me as a student athlete working back from injury to track progress! Perfect Gym CompanionI started using htis app while it was in Beta and have been using it ever since. It's great for tracking your progress and logging your workouts. They have a tonne of plans, but I find that making my own was the best fit for my workout needs. Keeping track of weights, time, reps, etc. is super easy and the UI is super satisfying and easy to use. I love everything about this app and it makes working out feel like a game. Perfect (Almost)Let me start by saying this is the best free app period. There is no free app that can beat this. I’ve tried every other one I could find and this is by far the best. I recently used the referral feature to get a lifetime of premium. The suggested workouts are nice if you don’t know exactly how to work out. The only things that bothered me was that there were certain exercises that should’ve been there that weren’t and I had to add myself. An ASD Guy’s Dream AppI’m an individual on the Autism spectrum and I can’t express enough just how beneficial this app has been in rebooting my fitness journey. Having an app that lays everything out for me — including tracking sets, providing exercise explanations and tutorials, and building routines based on my own performance — is a game-changer. But the coolest part might be that this app feels like it’s always been a part of my iPhone. Great app, needs progression on custom exercisesI really like pretty much everything about this app. It looks good and is easy to use. The only thing it lacks is what it calls “inheritance” on custom workouts. If you use an app suggested workout but mark that you used different weights, it will remember this for the next workout. But if you set a custom plan and lift more weight than planned, it won’t remember for next time. That would be a huge help for people trying to track their progress with their own workout plans!.Version: 1.16

Great Work Out app for Gym and At Home!I have been through my fair share of work out apps, everyone of which limits what I can do and what types of work outs I can create for ME, so I wasn’t expecting much from Flex when I saw it advertised thinking it was like others but decided to try it out. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw I can create my own work out’s however many that it, my own work out plan. They let you completely customize and decide what you are going to be doing with your own work outs for free. They do provide work outs themselves and plans but you have to pay for some of them which is only expected. For someone who has a work out plan in their mind and just need the structure for said plan this app is perfect..Version: 1.14.2
