Great appFive star for this app, it meet my expectation!.Version: 2.2.5

Incredible so far!I was using Speechify before I found this app and I thought it was great, even though it had some problems. Many of those problems, that I thought were minor annoyances at the time, actually made it so that I couldn’t justify buying a premium subscription. I haven’t had any of those problems here. This app can be used in split screen, can play in the background while I take notes in a different app, works incredibly well with pdfs, even big ones (although gets easily thrown off by tables and graphs), and that has made it everything I couldn’t rely on Speechify for. That being said, I do have a suggestion. The developers could provide more options for speed, because it seems that there is a big market for that, and I’m also starting to feel like 2x is still too slow..Version: 1.3.0

Es muy buenaMis fácil su uso.Version: 2.2.6

Very goodI am having just one problem with sankrist word like Sri or Krsna, I can’t change to speak Sree or Krishna..Version: 2.2.2

Amazing voice and reads pictures!!!My all time favorite because when I can’t find a book to transfer to the app, I can literally make key own book by taking pictures of it and the app amazingly is able to read every word even in not so great pictures! A must have for people like me who just can’t read and comprehend (super ADD).Version: 2.2.1

The best voice reader out there;)First of all I would like to say thank you!! very much for creating this app. It help me a lot. I didn’t expect so much but I’m speechless it was really awesome app. Way better that “ Speechify apps” I downloaded it 1st and pay the annual fee but is not working good. If I know that there’s an app like this I would never download that other apps. This app is way way better that any app! It easy to use no hassle. Sooooo very highly recommended;) I love it love itttt.Version: 2.2.9

BEST APP EVER ! Thank you ! Amazing app for dyslexia !This app is amazing, it’s changed my life, I am not kidding! I am dyslexic, I have tried so many apps most of them very expensive & non of them compare to this app. It needs more publicity as can benefit so many people!.Version: 2.3.2

Good ApplicationThis is a really good app that reads words allowed. I’m using the application to read PDF books. It is working very well. It does a good job of reading books that may have two columns on one page with tables, charts and graphs. It does a good job of reading the left column of words first and then the right column of words. It will read the charts and graphs also, so if you don’t want that read, all you have to do is press on the next section you want read. Its a life saver. Also, it works in multi task mode, so you can have PDF reader pulled up, highlighting within your PDF file and making notes while the app is reading to you (e.g. left side of screen has the voice app reading and the right side has the actual PDF book open) One other application I tried would not allow this, which was odd. For only about $8, I say this application is a bargain. I’ve already used the application to read hours of text to me. It is definitely saving me some eye strain. Word pronunciation is pretty decent, but I would follow along as the text reads to you, just Incase the reader pronounces some words awkwardly. Overall, a really good application..Version: 1.1.7

Is bestI was looking for same apps but after trying so many.this is the best and ezy to use.Version: 2.2.2

Awesome!Literally works better than another app that I was about to pay $119/year for. My PDF was formatted in such a way that no other reading apps were able to pick up the content, but this app picks it up. Thank you to whoever made this app so accessible ✨ amazing.Version: 2.2.11

Good appThis app is good but They need to fix the pause.Version: 1.4.0

'Does the job.Version: 2.3.2

A little glitchy, but relatively reliableSometimes hard to get out to play from where you want, but it works.Version: 2.2.11

Love it but….You should get new voices! Because these ones aren’t the greatest.Version: 2.4.0

Easy to use and it worksAwesome app. Easy to use and it works and makes the reading and comprehension of documents really easy for me..Version: 2.1.0

Needs some attention, but goodLove the one time purchase, absolutely worth it as a college student. The only problem I have with it is when it adds extra characters to the start of each page. Most of the time, whenever the page is turned, the program will add and read aloud “a” and/or “-“ two to four times before starting on what the page actually says. As far as I can tell, there isn’t a way to edit this out of the page, though you are able to view the extra “a”s and “-“s in the contents menu of your book. If you’re anything like the average reader, this makes it kinda hard to follow the meaning of the sentence across the page turn when there’s a four to five second break with the voice repeating “a a hyphen hyphen a hyphen.” If you don’t mind it though, it’s a great app and much closer to five stars..Version: 2.1.0

FonctionneJ ai fais un copier coller et ça a fonctionné à ma grande surprise.Version: 2.2.9

ExcellentHelp me a lot in reading and speaking.Version: 2.2.9

Perfect for my use.... almostI have been using this app for almost 3 years now and I have to say it has been the best 8$ i've spent in a long time. I work at a job where I do mundane tasks alone for a long period of time and this passed the time perfectly. I downloaded so many books and have read at least 500 novels on it. The only problem is there's no custom pronunciation feature. I enjoy books that have been translated from other languages and I have trouble hearing the names when it reads it out loud so I usually have to read those without this app and that's a little frustrating!! Apple has this feature for their text to speech I imagine it wouldnt be that hard to include and I would even be willing to pay for it so I could have that feature. Other than that I have no complaints and I think if you have many books, pdfs, etc. you dont have time to sit and actually read this is the best choice..Version: 2.2.9

There’s a little issue…Overall the app is great and better when it comes to prices, but there is an issue when uploading a Google Doc that has a Title and Subheading. For some reason it only reads the title and like half of the subheading and then it skips down the page. I tried everything and it still does it. I shouldn’t have to edit my file the voice should just read every single word..Version: 2.0.2

Résolution de problèmeImpossible d’installer cet apps sur mon téléphone. J’espère pouvoir intégrer cette application payante à mon téléphone SVP. Pour l’avoir essayé à plusieurs reprises et l’avoir apprécié. Merci..Version: 2.2.0

Great Alternative to SpeechifyI was looking for an app to do exactly what this app does & of course the first app I saw was speechify. I was extremely excited to use it until I realize it’s functionalities were not very efficient. I was not able to easily set up the app and nor was I ever able to select documents from my files on my iPhone. But with voice reader app I have been able to do that all that! In addition, the price is significantly cheaper than Speechify. After your 3-day trail you are asked to pay $135 as a yearly bill & there were no monthly options available. As a college student myself, I find that very astonishing that speechify doesn’t work with people on a budget! This app deserves a lot more props for it service. I was able to secure an account for a one time payment of $8.99 or you can choose a monthly amount of $9.99. There are minor errors but I’m good with that. Still gets the job done! Highly recommend!.Version: 2.2.5

Good appIt does the job and it’s fine.Version: 2.3.2

Amazing App - just needs one updateThis app is honestly great. I highly recommend it because it can read anything doc with no problem. It’s perfect for supplementing books that are not available in audio format. With that said, my only recommendation / request is that the developers add a rewind 15 seconds options so you can easily listen to content that you might have missed. The app currently makes it difficult to rewind a few seconds because it’ll start reading at the beginning of a page or sometimes random paragraph. Just a little critique, but I still highly recommend!.Version: 1.4.1

Really UsefulI read a lot of transformative/online books and it’s very useful to be able to listen to them in the car, when driving, etc. due to being able to download the pdfs and then have VoiceAloudReader go through them. I also like that I can read them on my own if I wish to not listen and that I can choose to skip parts. I do, however, have a recommendation because of the many books I read and their different fandoms/groupings. Perhaps there could be a way to put a folder or a few into the library section? That way it would be easier to choose a horror book versus a comedy or such..Version: 2.2.12

Alternative to speechifyI have been trying out different text to speech systems for students that need access to PDFs and other print materials in the school setting and have print disabilities. I tried Speechify first, but found that it didn’t read the words all that effectively even on PDFs that were non-scanned. This system is reading the words more clearly more accurately, and I can understand what’s being read out a much higher level..Version: 2.3.0

Great app, just missing one thingThe app is great for listening to long web novels that have lots of chapters and no audiobook. I just wish that whenever you opened the table of contents within a book it would open with the current chapter in the center. Since I switch between reading on kindle and listening to it in this app it would be nice not to have to scroll down 1000+ chapters to go to the new chapter every time..Version: 2.2.10

Great Features, Missing OneThis app has a useful and simple interface, one important feature that it is missing is the ability to save and then play back multiple webpages. It would be nice to be able to make a kind of short playlist of webpages to be set up and then listen to as a set, versus having to add one webpage, listen, and then add another. Without that ability being able to listen to webpages for extended periods of times, e.g. while driving or working out is prohibitive within this app..Version: 2.2.0

This is for all peopleHi if you’re looking for an application that can read to you. This is the one I have dyslexia which is a reading disability this application allows me to take a picture of whatever I would like to read, and it would read it to me. No longer will I have to ask someone can read this for me no longer the embarrassment of going to a restaurant and not knowing what the menu will say. This application is so user-friendlyIt’s ridiculous. From the beginning to the end I have modified this application to work for me as a police officer. As a student in school. When I’m going out with my friends or my significant love ones. This application will change your life it would actually make you more independent than you usually are no more asking people for help get this application and change your life today..Version: 1.1.5

Thank you! This app is brilliant highly recommend!.Version: 2.3.0

Voices need a bit of tweakingSo for the most part, I love this app. I spent a long time at work doing very boring monotonous task, and this app allows me to listen to online literature anytime I want. It has a simple problem however. This app cannot handle ellipsis, and it sometimes cannot handle some words. There is one story I was listening to where This app could not pronounce the word “lunatic”. For some reason it would treat it as a bunch of symbols and characters. What is strange is that only the Fred voice can handle these things, but Fred sounds terrible. I would like the option to be able to purchase some better high-quality voices. On the upside I love that this is a one time purchase, and it handles, for the most part, webpages rather well. Trying to find a word to start on can be a bit finicky at times, but all and all this is a rather good app. I would recommend it over the others..Version: 1.2.3

Une lecture apaiséeLa voix, le rythme et l’intonation sont exceptionnellement proche de la réalité (la voie humaine)lors de la lecture en langue française. Vivement recommandé.Version: 2.3.1

Amazing appThis made my life easier specially how to pronounce words properly. Very helpful I. Improving reading and vocabulary.Version: 1.3.0

Very pleased. Absolutely fantastic!!Outstanding! The app is helping me very much.Version: 2.2.9

Best on the marketSimple to use, quick loading time (even for large files), voices read text correctly and you can clearly understand. I paid for the premium version and don’t regret it at all. This is the best text reader on the market. I highly recommend.Version: 1.3.0

Exactly what I’m looking for. Please never delete this app or remove the one time purchase option. This is great! It’s exactly what I’m looking for in a text to speech reading app. Sure it might have some issues here and there, but it’s perfect! Unlimited file storage, easy chapter navigation, you can read online pages, app still works when offline (which is perfect if you love to travel). But the best part of all is that you have the option to only do a one time purchase or a subscription purchase! So many apps are over priced or requires subscriptions that are not worth it (or even work off-line), and with having a one time purchase option it’s great for those of us who don’t make much money..Version: 2.2.11

Voice Aloud ProHad to give a review on this one because of the ability to: Import partial of book from one files, scan a whole book, editing the pages and allowing To continuously scan and add the next few pages in the same book. Scan partial of book, then add more later. So, it continues to let me add scans of say pg 1-20. Then, take a break. Then continue scanning pages 21-85. Can import scans of pages from other file sources. So, this app gets 5 stars in my book for helping me with this. I already have a difficult time concentrating having add that this app makes it so much easier for $8 or $8.99 whatever it was - one time payment and not making me pay $50-$100 per yr like these other apps do that do not include important features that some of us really need. Dan L. aka SandScoopDan.Version: 2.2.3

It is a good application. Helps with my reading.A very good application..Version: 2.3.0

Great to listener learnersThis app is my best tool to keep myself focus on my studies.Version: 2.2.3

Highly RecommendAs a second year university student, the amount of reading assigned is intense. I get through articles much easier with this app. I recommend it to many of my classmates..Version: 2.2.5

DisappointingI put five stars so everyone to see. Don’t download this, it will force you to buy the 10$ subscription. It was the best reader app until a last week when the developer decided to put a limit to the free voices. Yeah, a limit to voices that you can find unlimited in other apps, the limit consist in watching an ad(which I don’t have problem with) every 15 minutes. BUT, when you’ve repeated this process 2 or 3 times the apps locks and you have to wait 30 MINUTES to use it again for free. Bad marketing move dear developer..Version: 2.2.6

I’m liking this appFor some reason my not so awesome kindle reader won’t text to speech for a particular text book. In swoops this app to the rescue. Thank you..Version: 2.2.7

Fantastic so far!I am a Doctoral student with ADD and Dyslexia, with a heavy reading workload. This has been a Godsend! I was originally looking at the other app in this field(speechify) but they are charging over $100! This app only charges $8.99 and it essentially does the same thing. I added more pages for $1.99 so now I have 1,800 pages for less than $12 bucks, and when I need more pages I pay another $1.99…GREAT DEAL and it also does exactly what it promises…I take pics of my texts books and then it reads out loud-Perfect! Also it does websites too, quite easily! Just copy and paste the url-thats it. Thank you so much for this app, and making it affordable so everyone with a learning disability now has a chance to “read” a book like everyone else!.Version: 2.0.1

So far so goodThe voice part is very good but sometimes I just want to read the text as well. The font size increases the title but the body of the ePub doesn’t seem to change much. Also in dark mode the Text is hard to read, please include some option to increase text brightness..Version: 1.3.0

The only thing holding back this app is the price of subscribingI love this app. It’s allowed me to start reading again I understand the developer needs to make money, but £8 a month is a steep ask..Version: 2.2.7

Exactly what I neededOk, this app is AMAZING!! I had some pretty dry content to read for my nursing continuing education so I wanted an app to scan and read the material to me. Not only did it do just that, I was able to keep engaged more than I would have without it. I finished 16 hours of content in a 24 hour period! Highly highly recommend since distraction is my main issue. This kept me right in track! Best part is, it only cost $8.99 for 800 scans (pages). You can also buy more pages for dirt cheap (like $1).Version: 1.4.0

Good and handyIt is a good and handy app.Version: 2.2.9

Helpful and understandableThe free voice is not to automated and easily understood. Once you reach the reading limit they allow you to watch an add to continue instead of just cutting you off. You can also take photos and they read from their. I’ve had apps where all it could read was off of doc or pdf; this had made it a lot easier on me..Version: 2.2.0

Love the Enhanced Voice and…This could be greatly improved if there was a pause between paragraphs instead it reads like one huge chunk of text which isn’t the way we read. We need to know when one block is complete so we are ready to move onto the next chunk of information. I love the enhanced voice capabilities and would love to continue using the app while supporting the creators. I would love to hear if this update is in the works..Version: 2.2.0

An ideaI love the app and was wondering if there could be a way to save the pages from one Device to another. I have everything on my phone but I wish it could also be on my tablet..Version: 2.1.0

Good pointEase of adding a book.Version: 2.2.3

New voices not working. Please get this fixed.Version: 2.2.9

It is user friendly.I love this app..Version: 2.2.12

Gave This a Chance…Gave this a chance and I love it I don’t have the same issues of the app not being truly open to different styles of books and not always working nor flowing exactly like this app. I’m enjoying it..Version: 2.2.9

Does the jobOverall decent. Couple of basic quality of life changes. The rate needs to increase in increments of .1 not.5. I don’t know who could ever understand something at a rate of 5. Second the Web reader needs two basic features. Zoom and search text. Zoom for the oddly small font and search text for long documents so that you don’t have to search manually when telling it to play from here. Otherwise I’m quite pleased it loads the body content quite well and plays it just fine..Version: 2.1.0

App is good but so over in app purchases and subscriptionAs an academic, I have to read a lot of texts every day. If they’re not too heavy, this app is a great way to “read” in the car or on a run. I have paid for Pro and think it was good value. I’d love it to be a little more intelligent in not reading headers and all the text in graphs and tables. However, I’m not giving it 5 stars because it’s SO frustrating that I can’t just buy a full version of this app with one payment. There’s an in-app payment for Pro, then what I assume is a subscription for Pro+ (it’s unclear in-app, which doesn’t help my trust). Some of the features (more voices) of Pro + sound like yes, they’re worth another $10 or even $20 on top of the Pro price, especially if I use the app a lot as a result, but Urgh another 3 day trial I have to remember to cancel or another subscription that adds up with the others I’ve been forced into. Please, just let me pay a fair price once!.Version: 2.0.3

Perfect to help with ReadingI was looking for an app that would let me hear books. I love to read! But I have trouble with my eyesight. So, I can’t read for long now. So getting through a book took forever. I was happy to find that there was also a one time payment option as opposed to monthly. Like all TTS software, the app does have trouble with a word or two sometimes. But it’s not heard to figure out what’s meant. Thanks for the app!.Version: 2.2.11

The bestI have valuated a number of these reader apps, and I found that this was the best. At least for me. It does exactly what I needed to without being annoying. I’m using it primarily to read PDFs and it works great. I love that I can be in the background and still play and will resume wherever I have left off even if I go to another PDF or a book. Great app. Thanks!.Version: 2.2.11

This is greatLove this use it daily. Is it perfect well no but I’ve not yet found a perfect app of any kind. My self built epubs sometimes jump back a couple of chapters. Only having the top layer in table of contents can be a bit restrictive for omnibus books. On the massive plus is the adjustable read speed which is epic. Also the selection of voices in pro is super. I only use the one obviously but there is a massive variety so i suspect most people will be able to find one that suits them best..Version: 2.2.3

Such a great app!If you struggle with reading and you are in college taking a course that has your face stuck in a book this app can really help work in your favor! it’s not perfect but it comes close. even if you don’t know if you like the app it gives you a free trial no pay no credit card info nothing, you try it you like it you keep it and if not then delete but it’s a great tool if you have chapters and chapters to get through in a short time..Version: 1.2.1

Great app just one problemThe new voices that you have added for some reason can’t be selected for using, even after paying for the service. Please look into it..Version: 2.1.0

Reading from website text just got easyBeen using this to read text from websites, where I live where I’m learning a discipline. Relatively easy to use yet to try on PDF or similar documents may do this next. Brilliant as it does what it says..Version: 2.2.5

Ms informedI purchased the pro on time payment version for £7.99 on the 26th of October 2022 and by February the site is telling me I have reached my daily limit and want me to purchase a new subscription.Version: 2.2.6

Good valueI already use the iPhone built in screen reader through accessibility, I'm used to the voices, but unfortunately it's really buggy and skips passages, which is why I'm looking into this app. It's a great value with just a one time purchase to read files and it reads websites for free. It uses the same voices that my iPhone uses which I'm already used to and enjoy. The only issue I'm having is that the pause between sentences is too long and it sounds kind of choppy. Increasing the speaking rate doesn't really help. If there was a way to customize that our just fix that it would be 5 stars easily. Compared to the ridiculously over priced subscription services on here, this simple app is a great deal..Version: 2.2.0

Just made the one-time purchase yesterday and not the app is crashingI love using this app. It’s made my college readings much easier to get through. I made the one-time purchase just yesterday and now the app won’t work. When I try to change the voice or increase speed, it just crashes. Please fix this! Making the purchase was supposed to be a worthwhile investment initially but it’s definitely not if I can’t use the app..Version: 2.2.2

:)Love the app helps me out with my dyslexia a lot.Version: 2.2.9

Pas attrayant du tout12$ pour la lecture avec des voix trop rapide et très ennuyante imaginez un livre entier. Et 13$ par mois pour les voix premium que je n’ai pas essayé. Bref rien d’interessant..Version: 2.2.10

Ouss ouss best oneHey thing ever so happy with it. it did cost $12.99 but it gave me a chance to see if it was the right one for me and I only wanted it to read a PDF from internet copy and paste to my iPhone it’s a 7 and yeah press the plus to add a book then press PDF I select the one you want.Version: 1.2.3

Finally! PDF on my iPad!I read A LOT of articles. As a returning student and lifelong learner, I am always discovering opportunities to learn something new. And, I am a big fan of reading them aloud. But, I was stuck reading pdf files from my laptop, because I could not find an acceptable solution for the volume of reading that I do. So, time passed and I decided to try this app again. I thought it could only read epub files, but lo and behold I was able to pull in a pdf file saved to the cloud on my iPad. And, the icing on the cake is that after it read the article, it informed me that I was now receiving 10 standard voices for free and unlimited use! I am thrilled!! This is my go to app from now on..Version: 2.2.7

GénialVois de synthèse mais clair.Version: 2.2.12

Inexpensive but powerfulSimple easy to use. I was a little worried when I got it that it would have some hidden fee or something. It’s $8 for the pro but that doesn’t include premium voices which is a monthly subscription. So the voices do sound a little robotic but it does read a html/pdf really well. To me it seems like it’s worth the $8 for the pro and not worth the subscription. I wish applications would honestly stop charging subscriptions for products. But this one really doesn’t force you to get the premium so that’s good! If you’re looking for a simple screen reader that it good for websites/pdfs and can be used in the background. I think this is a great app!.Version: 2.4.0

Good appI recommend it.Version: 2.2.9

Needs a history function for websitesI like the app, but please add a history function that keeps track of all the websites that I visited. I like to read books with this app on different websites. It would help me a lot if I could go to a history tab and look for the url that I want to go to versus me having to always type it in manually. Or if you can add a auto fill function when you type in some of the url and the app pulls up a list of urls that you visited in the past, that would help big time..Version: 2.2.12

Good and SimpleI like to use TTS to listen to books when I can’t find audiobooks for them. Other TTS apps I have tried have been slow or crashed when I tried to use large PDFs with them. This one works just fine with no issues. And the interface is very simple, and the app doesn’t require you to login or anything which is something I like with apps. It has a limit for how much you can listen to for free, but it just requires you to watch a short ad to reset it every once in awhile. Overall, it’s a good app..Version: 2.2.9

Too easySo easy to use it’s a pleasure!.Version: 2.2.9

In love with Arthur! 💕So it obviously has some kinks - like restarting from the beginning of a document, which can be really frustrating if it is something extremely long. I wish there was a bookmarking feature. BUT! I tried Speechify thinking okay, this is fancy with stats etc. However, the way the voice has to sync via internet (which isn't super good where I work) makes for a really unenjoyable listen. Arthur, my sweet darling love is by far the best voice to read to me ever. Even compared to the specify premium voices. I love it so much! I couldn't even begin to count the hours I use this app, which is nearly all day every day! Aside from the re-starting and lack of bookmarking, this app is wonderful!!.Version: 2.1.0

Life ChangingIm dyslexic but struggled to read my whole life. I bet this wont be grammatically correct either. Im copying and pasting legislation off a government website and I can actually understand what its saying with the reader reading it for me once not having to read it 3-4 times for each page. ❤️🙌bless.Version: 2.2.11

Love it, feature requestI love this app! It is simple and read text that no other app could. Request to add functionality for pausing audio using the physical buttons on Apple earphones (they are normally able to pause something that’s playing)..Version: 2.3.0

Very helpfulSaving my academic life.Version: 1.3.0
