Pushcut: Shortcuts Automation for Negative User Reviews

Greedy DeveloperThis app fills the need for working notifications from shortcuts, but like most apps these days uses a subscription service model. If this was a one-time $20 purchase I'd gladly pay but I'm not going to sign up for ANOTHER subscription. App is limited to only three notifications in the free tier which is pretty greedy on the developers end. If I can find another app that fills this need I'll be switching right away..Version: 2023.10

'Keep Notification' option doesn't workAt first glance I was impressed, but the 'Keep Notification' option doesn't work and that will likely stop me from subscribing..Version: 2021.5

Scam…When you are in a hardware store, you can see the product in its full form before purchasing it. Developers, unfortunately, are far too comfortable to lock their products behind a wall so you can’t even experience it without paying. This app supposedly lets you make widgets, but except for marketing images, one has no idea how you go about making them. The product is the widget. So don’t let me put the widget on the Homescreen. But, I’d like to experience the UX behind creating it before I spend any money. Maybe the widget look nice, but are far too difficult to create..Version: 2022.2

Mediocre at bestAt first thought the app was perfect. The webhooks work great! But then you realize its just another get rich quick scheme and requires a SUBSCRIPTION to get any real use out of it. If it would be like 5 dollars and a one time purchase thatd be different. But the fact that you have to subscribe to the service is kind of ridiculous.Version: 1.7

PaywallPay wall for all the features you are actually going to need to use, free ones are literally useless.Version: 2024.1

Can’t even use itIf you are actually any good at shortcuts, you’d know that the automation feature isn’t so good. This app does the same thing, but you need to pay and even then you’ll have to either pay $38 for most of the features or do a subscription. If you don’t pay you only can get a notification when one of your shortcuts finishes. You can only use it if you pay! This is a great idea, I love the app and everything about it. The only problem is that this app is the only app of its kind; this gives you the negative reviews you get because shortcut developers want to use the automation feature; but it works 20% of the time. So the shortcuts developer community is stuck between paying or getting garbage quality.Version: 1.9.1

No triggersCan’t make custom triggers, this is only good if you want notifications.Version: 1.12.2

Lack s informationOffers a trial then subscription but no terms or price. Won’t pull the trigger until I know the details.Version: 2022.9.2

Who knows, can’t use it no instructionsMore and more these perfectly advertised apps that will help people just “do” things without spending a day in a “learning curve” rabbit hole to do baby’s first shortcut. I rejected shortcuts because you need to know more than the average person to make sense of it’s process. It does things, but explains nothing. Useless. I am involved in a career where my logic skills drive the work. As a teacher, it’s infuriating to know how many people are definitely paying for a great reviewed product, that I believe works. But this “figure it out yourself” approach with limited or help disguised as not real help? It needs to work OUT OF THE BOX..Version: 2021.6

Been using 30 minutes battery for daysSettings battery shows this using my battery every hour. Background app refresh turned off for the app. It isn’t shown in the iOS app switcher. I opened the app. It showed a welcome screen and it went through a setting up on server process. I deleted it. Bet that sorts it eating my battery!.Version: 2023.1.2

Doesnt work :/Evetytimr I create an app I click on it afterwards and it says "open app failed cause the app could not be opened." please make your apps work I want an aesthetic phone not more random apps that don't work..Version: 1.12.2

Sits on preparing account foreverCan’t start the app.Version: 1.13.3

Cool app, shame about the subscriptionThis is a really great idea for an app. I was hoping it would replace the last thing I keep LaunchCentre Pro around for, which is geofenced triggers. Unfortunately, though, I’ve only got a flavour of its potential as this app is unlocked through a subscription. I can’t justify replacing an app I already own (and paid for, once, years ago, with a single IAP since then to unlock the geofenced trigger feature when that was released) with an app I will have to keep paying for as long as I use it whether it changes or not. Also, I’m really not clear what ongoing service this subscription pays for, except permission to keep using the app on my device. I’ll keep checking updates to see if there’s ever a permanent unlock option, otherwise I can’t get invested..Version: 1.4.1

Help meCan you tell me how i use the app?ill put a good review.Version: 1.13.1

Good appThis app isn’t loading on my iPad but when I got it on my friends phone it was a good app.Version: 1.13.3

Can’t agree to privacy policy.Uninstalled before I ever tried it. Might be good but I’m not selling my letting my self be tracked where ever I go for a little convenience..Version: 1.5.1

Background triggers require dedicated deviceLocation-based background triggers only work if you have a dedicated iOS device to run as a server. $18/yr for premium would be fine, but that requirement is expensive and feels unnecessary: why does my phone need to connect to another device to run a shortcut that will toggle alarms (as in my phone clock, not security) off or on based on location? --- Response: Unless I'm missing something, without a dedicated device, the location-based triggers only send a notification that you have to interact with in order to run the shortcut. That's the same functionality as the Shortcuts app, which makes this superfluous for my use case..Version: 2022.1

Been using my location for daysNot a great app, not very clear or easy to use and the notifications don’t even work! As well as this, they have been tracking my location for days without my permission and knowledge. Do NOT download! There are plenty of other better apps!.Version: 1.13.1

Almost perfect. But failed at one thing.Tested it on my phone and it worked great, I was able to trigger shortcuts using the URL. However, when I moved the server to a dedicated device, device specific shortcuts didn’t run properly. For example, I have a shortcut that disconnects all airplay speakers from my device and set playback to my device. This runs great when server is on my phone, but when the server is on another device it runs that shortcut on the server device. That device isn’t playing anything though so the music is still playing through the speakers from my phone..Version: 2023.10.1

Push notifications not reliable enoughAttended to use api calls for push notifications on important appointments and it just wasn’t reliable enough. The Power Automate ran as expected but the sound alerts didn’t regularly work. I had to switch to an SMS service for now..Version: 2022.4

Loading to LongWhen I downloaded it it said it wanted to access my data and made me click accept policy so I clicked it and it took HOURS to load the data, and it’s still loading.Version: 1.12

Features hidden behind IAP even after $38 Lifetime license purchaseThis app has the ability to solve major issues with Siri Shortcuts and automations which is why I was willing to pay almost $40 for a lifetime license. However the main feature that most people would want/need requires an additional monthly/annual subscription on top of the lifetime license. Scheduling a one-time server execution/action for a specific date and time should not be behind an additional pay wall for people who already purchased lifetime licenses. Nearly every other “pro” feature of the lifetime license in this app is able to be accomplished by other workarounds or natively in iOS. The one problem it could actually solve, is deceptively locked behind an expensive monthly IAP. 🙄.Version: 2022.3

Server never workedI’ve been paying a sub for multiple years. Never been able to have the server working as the app was bugged. Never was able to get a reply from support. Not an honest business..Version: 2023.2.1

Gutted I paid…I’m gutted I jumped in paid the £32.99. I constantly get error 500s from the background actions as i travel about my house and it gets in range of my ibeacons. I don’t want the app to tell me that it failed. (Sometimes the wireless can be bad in places) - the app should just keep retrying and retrying until successful. The main thing we need as users is for the actions to happen. I use the app Locative and they have this running great. On to widgets.. I have some simple ones setup exactly as the example given so that they show if a device in Apple Home is off or on. The widgets take such a long time to reflect the changes it’s not worth using. Also setting another Apple device to run as a server requires that device to also stay unlocked! Having to allocate a device to be used solely for this purpose is a very expensive idea. I should of just stuck with Locative or Geofency. Free and are a lot more reliable. Developer - can I have a refund please?.Version: 2021.7

UselessThey require a subscription for any basic uses of this app. At least we should be able to use the basic features without a subscription. Money should be optional. The devs don't know the first thing about making a functional subscription service. Edit: last time I checked, the input parameters are blocked without a pro subscription..Version: 1.0.1
