✓ Good appThis is a great app, as most parents with kids will agree, my toddler is always hiding the remote. Our sky q box has a button to locate the remote, however when it’s hidden behind the tv on the wall it’s impossible to reach. Only downside is the volume does not work, which means I still need to go up and change the volume from the tv, which defeats the point in the app..Version: 1.84
✓ GreatThis is a fantastic app, but I sometimes have problems with adjusting the volume. This might just be me, but the play/home buttons work perfectly, I’ve just had trouble with the volume control. ✓ WONDERFUL FOR PRANKSThis app is amazing for pranks!! Lol. Normally I’m too scared to prank my brothers bc I’ll practically get beaten up bc they hate me, btw I’m the youngest. But in this case, I can prank them and they will have no idea who it is. Even when they r angry! I can do it without fear. I downloading it thinking it’s a stupid app, but it’s amazing! When they r watching tv, I just turn on teletubbies bc they hate it, so do I but the prank is fun. ✓ Great little appDownloaded this app today (1st Dec 19) as I’ve sky Q and wanted to run Sky to three different rooms, bought all the cables and magic eyes only to realise there’s no RF2 outlet on the Sky Q box. Got a 4 way HDMI splitter and run the HDMI cables to each room but still had the problem of going into the main room to change channels....until I found this little beauty, taps into your WiFi and Bobs your auntie, down loaded it to my phone and can sit in the comfort of the chair to change channels, yes, it actually works!! ✓ Amazing!!I did not think this was actually going to work. My Sky control completely broke, and buying a new one can be quite expensive. I thought I’d see if there was an app, and I found this. It was so easy to set up and worked instantly. There are ads but they don’t come up very often so it isn’t annoying at all. I’m really really happy with this app!!.Version: 1.36
✓ WowHas to be the quickest review I’ve done. Used it for ten seconds and it just works, missus is already asleep when I come up to bed, remote nowhere to be seen and the wrath of waking her to find out where it is is not worth the hassle. ✓ One of the best appsI very rarely write reviews. Reading the previous one, I couldn’t actually agree anymore and had to leave one. This app is absolutely faultless, if the creators do every sell the app - please do not make any changes. The app just requires you to connect to your wifi and your sky box should be connected to the same network also. Select a remote and use. It’s literally that simple, I write this as I watch Rush Hour 2 on Netflix and it took longer to download the app then to start my movie using my phone. ✓ Legends!!!I very rarely pay to go ad free and I never write a review but this time I have to make an exception. My sky Q remote got soaked and stopped working. To avoid a day of frustration I scoured the app store. This little beauty came up and within minutes I could watch my recordings again. ✓ BrilliantThis is brilliant. We only have one remote and it’s always getting misplaced. This way I don’t have to share the remote and can sneakily take control. It works brilliant. ✓ Great appMy Sky Q remote suddenly conked out late last Saturday night. I ordered a replacement from Sky but it takes 3 days to arrive. This app meant I could finish bingeing Dexter over the weekend! Just for that, I felt I owed the developers something and bought the ad free version. ✓ I can’t believe it’s not real!Seriously shocked! Downloaded for a laugh not really expecting it to work (sorry developers!) but it works as well as my actual sky remote! There is no delay and it was so simple to set up! I chose the remote I needed, went to connect and chose my sky box.. job done! There is no limitations on what the app will do, it opens all the menus, FWD and RW are perfect, home, TV guide, recordings etc! Now when I sit with a coffee to watch Eastenders to realise the remote is on the other side of the room, I can open my app and I’m good to go and might even poke my tongue out at my remote who otherwise would have taunted me until I gave in and got up to go and get it with utter annoyance!!!! Good job with this one guys! Oh and ads are fine with me! You deserve the revenue you make on this!!! Another reviewer said sky should buy this app from you! He’s right!! You’d make a mint!!! ✓ Works Ok - no TV controlI was pleased enough with the free version to pay a few pounds to remove the ads. I am using with Sky Q and it works fine for the basic functions on the box itself. There is no voice control version available and the TV volume and mute do not work- but that is to be expected because of the way it works. The app works via Wi-Fi so there is no Infrared signal to control any TV functions - limited but useful so four stars..Version: 6.1
✓ 1st review, Honestly surprised!Never left a review before, so judge how good it was by my effort to leave one. Our sky systems are all tucked away in a sort of cupboard, and are (the majority) controlled by IR sensors on the TV. However, when the only Bluetooth remote (for the TV in the bath) batteries died, I was about to have to get out & cut my soak short, but this app allowed me to stay where I was & it worked perfectly! No set up required, just select the picture of the remote you have, select your wifi, select your sky box, and then the remote you selected works 🤷🏻♂️. Literally 10 seconds! Impressed!.Version: 1.84
✓ Should be a millionaire!!I have download, tried and tested over 2500 apps. VERY rarely do I review or comment on them unless they are staggeringly good or downright, gut wrenchingly awful. Overpriced and overrated apps make me mad and I hate being tricked into an app with false promises and in-app purchases, usually on the back of big names......but........once in many, many blue moons, an app comes along almost by accident, no bells and whistles and absolutely blows everything else out the water.........this is one of them. It is so simple to set up that my 8 year old grandson could (and did) do it. It takes fewer taps to set up than the latest genuine Sky remote does and IT JUST WORKS. The devs deserve to be rich, Sky should buy them out and not mess with the app. It’s everything an app should be, I have paid for the “no ads” and would happily pay more.....even the ads weren’t over the top...I only paid it because the devs deserve it. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I will be keeping an eye on any other apps from these folks..Version: 6.1

✓ Love the app, new update was a big improvementUnlike many other people reviewing I’m a big fan of the new update. Before I would have given it a 3/5 as it is a bit cumbersome adding a device manually and it would forget it and need to be entered again. For people with a large home network with sometimes 50+ devices attached the old manual search was near pointless - now I can just have the device saved and all is good. The new UI is clean, and so far no issues with the app..Version: 5.0
✓ Best sky remote app - however ...I’ve thought about taking one star off because the ads pop up just at the wrong moment as you fast forward through the adverts and you program is about to start! Then you have to rewind! Happy to see ads - the app is excellent, free and the develop deserves the ad revenue! Not sure why people moan when they have to see ads - but they don’t want to pay to upgrade! People deserve to get paid one way or another! Easy to set up - some confusion here on the critical reviews- they obviously didn’t know how to go into the sky box settings to check the network. Once you know the correct IP address for your box it is plain sailing. It does disconnect from the network every now and then but much less often than the actual Sky app! ✓ Just like the real thing!!I can’t believe this app. I’ve just been searching everywhere for my sky remote, it beeps but I still can’t find it!! In desperation I looked for an app (sky used to have one you could control the box from but it doesn’t exist for q). ✓ BTO or Better Than Original…It’s excellent. It is better than Sky’s own neglected and now defunct app. Works just like your remote. I have two gripes after two days of use it is brilliant but not being able to view TV guide and the SKY PLANNER on the app is a little niggle. The adverts that just appear full screen I find a nuisance hence 4 stars not 5. If it was £1.99 to turn off the adverts I’d have paid on day one or charge £1.99 for the app without ads and I think the developer should be smiling all the way to the bank. ✓ Won’t let me pay!Really like this app, works well with my sky box (as you might imagine), but it won’t let me pay to remove ads. Tried lots of times and I just get an error message “purchase identifier invalid”. Deleted / reinstalled twice, still no joy. Not had / having this issue with any other app on the store. Have mailed the developer but not heard anything. Just a bit of a weird one, definitely recommend the app though..Version: 5.7
✓ Amazing app!I have tried so many remote apps but they all have in app purchases or just don’t work. My boyfriend went out for the night and I woke up to our sky remote floating in a mixture of sambuca and kebab. Not only does this app let you select what sky remote you need, but also gives you options on what type of control is better. Either using the actual remote itself on the app, using a touch pad or using buttons. Massive respect to the app developer here because this is amazing x.Version: 6.1

✓ Sky Q RemoteThe sky remote app was very easy to set up on my phone. All I needed to do was choose the remote compatible with my skybox, connect to Wi-Fi and choose the skybox I want to connect it with and BOOM. You can use it the same as a normal sky remote! It is very good to have this app at times when you are like me when you accidentally lose your remote and do not know where it is. The only positive constructive criticism I can give, is that this app is not compatible for VoiceOver users. If it was then you would get a lot more of the visually impaired community accessing this app..Version: 1.84
✓ Decent appThe automatic add device didn’t work for me but typing in the sky box IP address manually was easy enough (visible under Settings - Settings - Network, assuming your original Sky remote is still working). I just had to stop by and say how much I love this app. Initially got the free version and didn’t have any high expectations for it but if you’re anything like me with losing remotes, this is an absolute game changer. It just simply .... works ! I know that should be high praise these days but it does everything your regular remotes do and is not tied to one particular box, we’ve got 4 boxes across 3 floors and it works for them all. The best review I can give this is that I paid out for the full version just because of how good it works, the devs definitely aren’t it and unlike a lot of apps, “no ads” genuinely means “no ads”, not leads ads, not no ads but extra purchases or add ons, just genuine no ads and an app that’s works. ✓ Working Like a charmOur remote control got lost so we downloaded another app only meant for Androids so I was sad, I found this app and it worked just like a charm I connected it to the internet there is no need for details just get your local network and it works perfectly, we have a new remote control but it is of no use now we have got apps like these and especially this app!! I so recommend this. One problem why isn’t the volume button working for me? It is on the remote and it is not working, that is a pretty big issue. ✓ FlawlessDownloaded as my autistic daughter grabs the physical remote as soon as you leave the room and turns the TV volume up to 100! Got this in the hope I could hide the physical one and thankfully it’s remained tucked at the back of the drawer since. Connected straight away and has been flawless in using ever since. As this is now my default for controlling the Sky Q box it was worth every penny to get rid of the ads.
