✓ Until recently this app has been fantastic and I loathe to give it one star.Hi, I hate to give this one star as up until last week this app has been a fantastic resource and ultra reliable. Definitely five stars all day long. I’ve the free version for as long as I can remember and upon having any issues with our internet speed it had always been the very first place I’d check before troubleshooting any further. It’s always proved extremely accurate and it held a very comprehensive history of previous tests, containing date, time and server. This was very handy should you ever need to speak to your supplier. Unfortunately around a week ago it appears to have stopped functioning correctly. It will carry out (only) one and no longer saves the information to history. Unless you make a note of the readings during the test they’re lost, as upon finishing it’s work the app reverts all the readings / results to zero. It’s a real shame as I liked it and don’t really wish to change to another app. I have now removed and re-installed a couple of times with no success and will try again soon with my fingers crossed.🤞🏻🤞🏻 Cheers, Si..Version: 2.8

✓ HOW TO CANCELThe first time you open this app you are automatically signed up for a subscription. Why would I pay $8 a month for something I use maybe once or twice a year? These sleazebags tell you you can cancel in "Account settings", which doesn't exist! ***TO CANCEL: check your email for a receipt ("Your Subscription confirmation") from Apple. If you found one, click "review your subscription". The Edit Subscription window should appear, and you can cancel the subscription there. I was so upset when I found out about the subscription that I didn't even run the test once. I would wager that a good number of the "5" ratings were submitted by people who have no idea they're being secretly charged eight dollars a month. ✓ This gave me false informationAfter moving house we were told we would have our internet up & running by the next evening at the latest but more likely the next morning. Three days later & our internet connection was still poor, so I ran the five different apps one after another closing them down before using the next app. Four out of the five gave me on average 1.3mbps & 1.5 mbps download & upload results. This app gave me 0.33 mbps download & 65.61 mbps upload speed. That is a huge jump in results compared to the other four. My partner ran three tests on his phone after mine & got similar results of 1.4mbs & 1.7mbps. So going by the data from 8 different sites & apps & the huge difference in results on this app, I would have to say I will not be recommending this app to anyone. It is a shame as the app was user friendly despite the incorrect results. If I gave this app to my 90+ year old grandfather I & wrote down the approximate two numbers we were looking for, even he could use it & understand from comparing the results he received to those on the note I gave him as to how well it worked.
