✓ Heavy power consumptionIdea is good but only if you want to stay permanently attached to a power supply. Fully charged the phone and within 2 hours I got low battery alert. Removed it from the phone and charged it again, in 6 hours it used less than 12%. Tried it several times and each time I installed it, battery drained within hours. ✓ Love concept, but crashes on setup wizardReally love someone is taking the time to make this issue prominent and front and center, however I could not ever finish setup. Your mileage may vary, but for a subscription this is crazy unacceptable - a website would not crash in this way and you don’t have that as you only get the app. Also, you can’t seem to add your email aliases so you only get to check one email and number (no google voice or home / voip numbers). After getting to the “Instagram” phase I noticed it stalled and eventually unexpectedly quit. Re-opening app resulting starting over at step 1 - LinkedIn. It crashes whether you skip or re-login with saved account. Rebooted iPhone X running latest non-beta OS (13.6.1). Same experience. Sigh. 64 GB free local storage. ✓ Greedy developerI had been using this app for over two years. Initially the pricing was reasonable for the few services I used. Last week I changed my phone and despite restoring my current subscription, one of the services as a plus member no longer worked. Now I just get a constant request to pay the extortionate fee for pro membership simply to delete old tweets. So, the service I have already paid for I now suddenly don’t get. ✓ Not recommended by Apple care support technician.My Safari browser started slows down few weeks ago. It was disaster- couldn’t use it at all. Finally I called Apple care+ support. Technician got access to my phone screen remotely (iPhone 12 pro max) and checked all my phone settings to find what causes the problem. And he told me to uninstall Jumbo (I have paid already for pro version) because apple system and browser have already got all of these security features which Jumbo offers for money and in-app vpn interferes browser working. After app has been uninstalled- my problem with Safari disappears. Fixed and Safari works smoothly and fast again. Im very curious what will be developer response. Thanks.Version: 3.18.1
✓ PainfulIdea is great and it achieves its goals I suspect. However, connectivity is often heavily compromised and it can happen at any moment. This experience is so inconsistent and can render your phone totally useless suddenly without warning. I just missed a train because no connectivity was possible and I couldn’t access my tickets - I didn’t pay for that solution. The ‘fix’ is to switch it off as some websites/apps have certain tracker requirements but this doesn’t explain why it works for the same app perfectly at some points and not at others. ✓ Other apps do the job better then this oneFirst of all I like the app but the fact that you have to pay for it (a good amount too $100 a year) for what other free and open source apps can do seems like a dealbreaker. If you want a private browser use Firefox focus or brave or the DuckDuckGo browser with searX or DuckDuckGo as the engine as this combo blocks the majority of trackers while browsing Second, if you want an encrypted email and aliases so you don’t have to worry about tracking or data breaches you can use SimpleLogin and ProtonMail/Tutanota If you want to block trackers you can use Lockdown which blocks a hefty amount of background trackers and it’s a great set and forget app Bitwarden makes passwords very easy to manage and can make very secure passwords to make your online accounts far more secure. Overall I don’t see the reason to pay $100 a year for what you can already do for free AND do better then this app but at least it’s a step in the right direction..Version: 2.47.0

✓ You have to pay to see what was leaked…I’ve had this app for about a few months and recently found out my data got leaked but when i tried to check what was leaked it said I needed to buy one of the yearly memberships which I didn’t want to as I’m literally broke, it just kept telling me I had my data leaked which was a bit true since I had an animal jam account during the whole sites hacking but everything was fine afterwards and it was a long time ago, I wasn’t sure if it detected that leak or not but I am deeply annoyed and would rather pay money to know how to resolve this instead. Also in one of the ads that I saw which made me download it the person in the ad said it was all free which was the whole reason I got it! Also you can only have one email account connected to it!!! ✓ Little bit worriedI really like the idea of this app and this it is a great idea and is helpful, but I'm a little sceptical on reviews saying its dangerous and don't know if I want to keep jumbo on my phone (I guess its a little late now if this app is dangerous as I've logged in on it)and also as soon as I install this app my passwords tab in settings are saying my passwords are involved in a data leak?? this might just be a bug or I'm overthinking something but I'm still feel like I have to be on my toes to see if this app is dangerous..Version: 2.26.1
✓ Beware downloading this is below acceptableIt has been several months now. It is impossible login to cancel this subscription because app log me out . Try canceling through Apple ID subscription and it is there to cancel because haven’t seen use of using there services. Deleted there app and lost card not so long ago and still charged me . ✓ Doesn’t meet my expectationsI was thinking this app would block whatever is listening and possibly watching through my phone but it seems to be for people who have posted something they’re ashamed of online at some point. ✓ Wifi dropping constantlyI’ve been enjoying the app for a few weeks, but today I’ve been having issues with my Wifi dropping from my phone *constantly*. All day I assumed it was an issue with my internet provider, but as a last resort I deleted the jumbo app to see if it would make a difference and I’ve had no problems. ✓ Disappointed and irritatedI used the app for about a few days and I noticed it getting really buggy. The app would lag/hang and it would sometimes slow my phone down (IOS 14.4.2 on iPhone 11) I completely removed the app and reinstalled it thinking that the issue would be fixed. Keep in mind I purchased a pro version of Jumbo before uninstalling the app. I reinstalled the app and went over to restore my purchase. My email didn’t go through and got the following message “We couldn’t find any subscription attached to this email, make sure you are using the correct email” of course I double checked but the same issue appeared. ✓ Great idea - app needs to do moreLove the idea, and I “think” Jumbo is doing some fantastic stuff in the background but it’s just far too basic in the current form. For a subscription, I’d expect a nice dashboard and some detailed analysis about what has been checked, what was found, what’s changed etc. Not too keen on the vault, I already have another App for MFA and now Jumbo has put some accounts in it, whilst others are managed in another MFA app. I’ve now manually moved to my preferred app for this. The vault has also deleted and eaten my old Tweets. On reflection, I want to keep my Tweets somewhere but not in the Jumbo vault...I have places to store these things already. Problem is, I can’t get anything back out the vault, or at least it’s not very intuitive. Personally, I don’t need another MFA and Vault app and Jumbo has made my digital life more complicated in that regard, because other apps do those things better. I hope Jumbo continues to improve on the Privacy protection side, I really like what it’s trying to do here, although some similar functionally is lined up for IOS14. ✓ Not an ID Protection ServiceI was disappointed to find out that Jumbo doesn’t provide true ID protection services. They basically just monitor your email address for data breaches, remove tracking cookies and help you remove old social media posts. That’s good and it’s nice to have a central hub to do that but everything they do can be done manually in other ways. They don’t monitor your actual identity information such as SS number, address, and other important ID theft vulnerabilities. Plus, their upgrade strategies are, shall we say, less than transparent. They only offered me 2 options: individual access for $99 subscription or family access for $149 subscription. When I cancelled my trial I found out that they have way more than 2 options and you don’t have to necessarily sign up for their highest cost yearly subscription in order to get what you need especially if you just want to occasionally check for data breaches or clear trackers. They aren’t upfront about that. Untimely I already have other ways to clear trackers, cookies, and monitor my email addresses and I don’t post to social media so this just isn’t for me..Version: 3.12.0

✓ Caused intermittent connectivity issuesI subscribed to the the service and all seemed well. After a time I started having intermittent LTE and WiFi connectivity problems. I couldn’t keep an internet connection for more than a few seconds. Then after a couple of days the problem went away again for a time only to show up again. Rinse and repeat. I contacted Apple support, went though all trouble shooting steps including a full factory reset. That mostly seemed to fix the issue until after about half an hour, all of my apps had been reloaded. That was my first clue. It occurred to me this began around the time I downloaded Jumbo. I deleted the app and haven’t had a problem in 24 hours. More time is needed to be sure it’s the cause, but I strongly suspect somehow it is blocking some exchange needed to connect to websites, or is somehow otherwise interrupting my connection. I’ll will keep it deleted for at least a week and see if the problem re-emerges. One week in and no more internet connectivity issues. I’m relieved I don’t need to pay for a repair, but disappointed this app causes this problem. Developers: pay attention and fix this critical bug!.Version: 2.39.0

✓ Jumbo reviewI was excited when I heard about an app that lets you keep your online privacy and protects you but as soon as it asked for my email address that’s when I thought to my self that they could access all my emails and other data linked to my email. ✓ Jumbo stole my detailsU utilised the apps free trial and cancelled the apple subscription. A few months later I found that Jumbo had been taking money from my account. They talk about steeling details but have used this app to take money from my BUSINESS ACCOUNT! without my consent I dont even have these details attached to my apple subscriptions so they have definitely taken these details from my phone without my consent or knowledge. ✓ Created app issuesAfter installing this I found that apps would randomly crash or take a long time, if at all to display. Facebook was a notable one as well as a couple of dating apps. ✓ A fine line between security, privacy and convinceUnfortunately, I don't want to delete messages on the Facebook message app. So I stopped the free and or paid services( possibly they give you choices but I personally can't risk it). Those messages provides history of important data that I might want to access the future. You can not have great security, privacy, and convenience. Just my opinion. There has to be a middle ground and compromise depending on the needs of the user. I will try again after the next update. In the past, I stopped using the app because some things that I used were broken. I don't really blame the company, after all, it's hard to satisfy everyone and as I said still has convenience. The problem is how does the developer know what is important to the user without a complex set of questions and rules. Hopefully, they came up with a solution next update. It's a great idea and much-needed app if they can get the balance just right. As I said not easy to do. If you don't do things such as play games that require a Facebook link for certain things ( and you understand that they do a certain amount of tracking as payment, if you do ) then this is definitely the app for you. ✓ Great concept, wildly expensiveAs I’ve used this for about 6 months now, I feel that I can give a fair review. The annual cost of $135/yr is just too much. The service seems spectacular. It will s’ignore check your security settings as well as archiving and removing old Facebook posts. That is free. The rest is all paid. You get the perk of tracker blocking with jumbo pro, but a good VPN gives you that as well. Jumbo will automate your security settings, which is incredible, though I can’t justify the cost. It’s also extremely lacking it providers. You get Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Amazon, and Google. Seems like a lot of services are missing..Version: 2.41.0

✓ Difficult to cancel subscription.It is very difficult to cancel subscription on this app. You would expect an app that is so sure of itself to offer an easy money back solution. ✓ Mostly useless without a subscriptionOnly checks if your personal info has been hacked. This info can be found on a few websites such as have you been pwned. Everything else requires a subscription. And you don’t need to pay somebody to remove your old posts. The only thing that’s intriguing is how they tweak the way your personal information is used by Google for example. But I bet you can do that yourself if you spend enough time looking for the Settings page. Thankfully in the European Union there are actual rules about what they can do with your personal information so a lot of these companies are complying with European rules and we in North America I can take advantage of that..Version: 3.14.2

✓ The app is nice however, literally killed all data and wifi to my phoneI enjoy what this app does, it makes you aware of so much stuff that tracks you, it is not a completely free service but I think the security is worth paying for. ***why I had to delete the app:*** After my free trial ended I would go back in to just scan my email and apps. I then noticed my phone would barely hold a connection to wifi or to my 5g. I couldn’t even load a simple google search so I searched all over for what it could be for days, looked online, deleted apps, restarted my phone multiple times etc. I deleted this app out of curiosity to see if it was messing with my phone because it’s a VPN.
