✓ Needs A Few Tweaks But Otherwise GoodThis app is useful and my go-to for mobile vid editing. However the edit clips feature where I’m trying to trim is a bit cumbersome. You will have a hard time catching the exact spot to cut; the devs should make the interface bigger when you’re doing that so you can zoom with more precision to the spot you want to clip. As well, the text feature should have a way to fade it in and out and not have it appear in the entire video. Maybe idk how to do that, but if I put text in it seems to be there for the whole vid and not just a select spot or select duration. I’ve had the app for probably over a year now and the filters keep getting better + more artistic. Makes me feel super cool bc it’s easy to use and looks better than I could make any videos on my own. I loved when they added the transitions bc my videos were a bit jumpy from one to the next so I like feeling pro, without the hassle of editing on a computer. ✓ Doesn’t Work -UpdateI cannot overemphasize how much this app crashes. I never written a review before. This got me to make my first one. All the bells and whistles would be incredible were it not for the fact that this app cannot seem to support any of it. It crashes nearly every time you try to edit/save any size video. Wish the developers would fix this problem bc they could have something great. UPDATE: I believe the problems have been fixed and have opted to purchase a second year of subscription. I’ve heard that the developers are also working on adding the option to slow down/speed up video, splice things together and add music, these things would make it absolutely incredible. A boomerang/gif creation option would work so well with this too! But so far, great job! Also one more suggestion would be to allow the user to change the background colour if zooming the video out to a bigger screen size, rather than just white. However although it is a free app, there are very little free effects. The colour grading on the free filters aren’t the best. It’s a shame. I would have hoped for a lot more free filters. In addition, it would be great to be able to adjust multiple video clips at once and then be able to download them individually. The ability to stack and layer edits is so amazing for photos and video. I can’t wait for the option to edit specific layers. The option to import/export from A Color Story would be very beneficial. ✓ One of the most useful apps on my phoneThis app is by far one of the most useful and easy to use apps out there, I never usually write reviews but honestly does everything I would want to do on my phone. As an avid user of Lightroom and Final Cut Pro on Mac I’d usually spend added time doing smaller jobs on there but for the simplest colour and expose tweeks to videos I couldn’t ask for a better app to use! ✓ A nice appThis app focuses on giving videos more love, which is difficult to find, as most apps are for photograph editing. The filters are pretty and unique, and I don’t even mind the watermark as it makes the video look pretty! I’d like to see some additions (being able to remove sound/add music etc). One thing I would criticise (as I can see many others have) is that there are not a lot of options for a non paying user. I believe this app deserves to be paid for to access all areas, but there should also be more choice for people who cannot do that. However, I’m quite happy with the selection for now. I like that you can purchase each category individually. One final and rather irritating part is that it constantly crashes. I’m not sure if anybody else experiences similar but if I pile on more than 2 filters it usually crashes which deletes all progress. Sometimes I even get to the saving process and it crashes. Other than mentioned, this app is super cute and makes my videos look so much cooler! I’d just focus on being able to make the unpaid features worth downloading the app for!.Version: 1.0
✓ Genius but needs stability improvementsOnce you get the hang of the editing flow, you’ll realize how genius this software actually is. There were some effects that when applied to my video caused the app to crash persistently. Workaround was to not to applied those buggy effects. Occasionally, one transition, a flip, which quickly rotates the next clip in sequence, would downshift to a slower speed. The workaround here is to keep re-applying the flip transition every time this happened. Given these shortcomings, the software is amazing!!!.Version: 3.7.2

I love that you can crop the videos to your desired size, I usually use 16:9 because it’s perfect for stories or IGTV. My favourite feature is how you can save the video. Usually I like to record stories that are longer than 15 seconds. And so I record a video and then have to split it up to upload for stories. ✓ Love it so far but…This app seems amazing in a very simple way for content creators but when I was editing my short video the app crashed on me and I had to completely start over which really sucked. Then there was a problem where the music just cut out to nothing after a couple of seconds that it played in the beginning even though it showed it was still there. ✓ Greatest video editorIt’s incredible what this app is capable of. You can nail the look of super 8, VHS etc, but it’s also just so useful for stringing clips together and adding audio. Have however noticed an annoying glitch with a recent edit, I saved one long video using iPhone then used iPhones own edit function to save bite size pieces from the video all as new videos. Imported to Film app and they’re all showing as individual clips but the playback and export only shows the first clip (in different lengths) from the start of the original video?! Really annoying! If I try to add a 2nd thing, (like if I already added a filter and now I wanted to add an effect,) it freezes. The one usability feedback I have is that the banner on the bottom that has Clips, Filmm, Adjust etc feels like it should be stationary or at least easier to get to. Maybe you could swipe it up? Once you click on say Filmm, the back buttons takes you to crop of clips, and the forward can take you to publish the video not adjust. It’s hard to find the “home” of where everything is.
