✓ Quickly responded to questionsGreat app... I love this guys work. ALL of it. Can’t wait to see where he takes this app in the future, but is hands down the quickest and easiest way to view dash cam footage. ✓ Dash cam for Duffy’s like me.I bought the WiFi USB and first time I downloaded the app it didn’t work the app didn’t recognise the USB name. Why do designers insist on confusing things using 0s or Os in the name? don’t use them please there are nine other numbers and twenty five other letters you can use. When I eventually got it going and linked up it works well but a lot more instructions for dummies like me would help and pictures even mini videos would be welcome on you tube. If a picture is worth a 1000 words a short video is worth a whole manual. I found 62 clips in the waste basket which I cleared out (probably didn’t need to but I don’t know) anyway scrubbing them took an age. I’m sure one 10 minute video on ‘you tube’ would clear this all up. Went with WiFi cause I don’t have a computer and don’t want one..Version: 3.7.5

✓ Complements SentryMy setup: SanDisk ixpand mini flash drive, Jeda hub, iPhone Positives: - Real time scrubbing is invaluable. - Face detection is a nice feature to fast track checks. - App development is continuing and improving - Support is responsive and helpful. - Performance and stability has improved over time. Negatives: - Load every time the user scrolls through the different times. Usually you just want to go the the second last time slot but every time you select a new sentry event, it loads the last time slot. - When Telsa updates Sentry formats, it can take awhile for iOS version of SentryView to come out (due to Apple approval process). - Paying for additional features like face detection. - Cost benefit vs what you get from Telsa now for free. Might not be worth it for some people. - Need to format the USB using Masterboot record for iOS devices. This is a hidden option in Mac OS. It is in the FAQ of the App but couldn’t the App detect whether the scheme is Masterboot record and tell the user the problem?.Version: 4.7

✓ Feature requestReally great app! Would just like to make a feature request. Now with iOS 13, we can access usb drives and SD cards using the files app. I’ve been using it with the lightning SD card adapter and an 64gb card and it’s been working really well. Would love if it worked with this app to be able to watch all three videos at once! And so that I don’t have to waste money on a sandisk iexpand. ✓ ExcellentThis is great and a huge time saver. Tesla just released its own in displayed video browser but it’s slow and at times hard to find what your looking for. Using the app is a breeze and much faster to go through your videos. Especially with the in-purchase to mark videos with people in them make things even faster. The only thing I marked this down for is for when saving videos to your phone, maybe because of having all on the screen at the same time the quality is not the best, in fact if you open the iXpand app and find the same video file and save that video the quality and clarity is a lot higher. Maybe the dev in this app should add the ability to export each individual video aswell and not just the whole screen with all videos showing! Apart from that the app is really good, oh one other thing the UI and design could use a little work 😉.Version: 4.7

✓ Handy for checking Tesla videos right awayI’m using an iPhone XS Max, and a 128GB iXpand with my Tesla Model X. It works fine for viewing and also for saving a combined 3-panel video in 1-minute blocks to the Photos library. Suggestions I sent for feature ideas were responded to quickly by the developer. Initially, I found browsing a tad awkward (I wanted to press the arrows in the opposite direction) but I quickly adjusted. Video playback was perfect. You format the iXpand drive, set up the TeslaCam folder, plug it into your car and it starts recording. When you return to your car and want to review the alerts, first turn off recording, remove drive from the car and plug it into the iPhone to review the footage and delete as you go. It’s quick and easy to plug the drive into my phone and open the app. The app allows me to see both repeater views and the front view at the same time. ✓ Great way to check the camsA much easier approach to checking your Sentry activity, instead of loading it on the computer. If I see “activity” when I go into the car, I will usually check it. Also, a few weeks ago the valet crash my car into the pillar in parking lot, when I went back to the camera it shows the valet guy pushing the fob key multiple times, which opened 2 doors. I also wanted to be able to download vids on scene if (heaven forbid) I ever needed to. I followed the instructions for formatting the drive and everything works as advertised. ✓ Just about perfect now with ixpand compatibilityI’ve been eying this app...but was initially disappointed when it only supported sandisk connect wireless. Now that it supports ixpand I didn’t hesitate to buy it. Works great no buffer lag that is to be expected with the WiFi sandisk. Can view all three vids at once and easy to delete single or whole folder at once. Developer is VERY quick to respond as well. Would be much nicer if you could scroll thru all the files instead of loading each individually. Also frequently one or more views don’t load. Don’t know if this is a car or app problem. But reason I dropped it to 2 stars is I can’t get it to work on my iPhone XS Max running latest iOS. Generally hangs up at reading files or says 0 data in file. The same files load without problem on iPad. I love Stats it’s the best Tesla app so I have hopes that the developer will keep improving SentryView but so far for me it’s a disappointment. Update Now that it works with SanDisk ixpand it’s much better. Works perfectly with my xs max. Changed rating to 4 stars. ✓ The App Tesla Should Have MadeSentryView for Tesla is the second fantastic app from this developer and it’s another winner. His Stats App for Tesla is amazing and so is this. Both are apps that Tesla should have made but didn’t. The description is already written so I won’t go into that. I’ll just say it works great, just as advertised. Moreover, the support for this app, just like his other app, is outstanding. I always get a reply quickly to any question. ✓ Awesome app!I played around with a few methods of viewing dashcam/sentry footage and found SentryView to be hands down the best and most convenient to use. The files, at times, can be a little slow to load with the Sandisk Connect, but better than having to run inside and use my iMac.
