✓ Terrible updateMost users on this app are going to be looking for a) standings b) schedule c) roster d) playoff schedule/bracket. Somehow in the new update it was decided to remove the option to see the standings. Roster and playoff schedule have never been available. So at this point this, all you can really see are the schedule and roster, but the roster is only available here once the season starts, yet if you go online you can see it as soon as you join a team. PLEASE give this app the same capabilities as the website. What is the point of having an app if I just have to use my phone and go look up the website for 3/4 of the information I need. Standings need to be added back, roster/group should be always available, not when team is made official, and playoff brackets and schedule should be able to be seen on the app. It’s like the developers didn’t ask anyone who actually participated in these leagues to actually review it before releasing this terrible version..Jricci94Version: 2.3.2

✓ Overburdening for casual rec sportsThe scanning to play feature is so frustrating because it prevents you from getting other players to fill in and avoid forfeiture. This is extremely common on teams with free agents where it’s less committal. Volo is the only rec league that does this and it feels so unnecessary. Ontop of this the app constantly crashes. ✓ Garbage.The App was great while it worked. It began crashing for me suddenly about 3.5 weeks ago. It has been unusable ever since. I have updated my phone and deleted the app multiple times. Nothing has helped. Clearly, the company is aware of these issues given the multiple poor reviews and being in contact with our local rep. Nothing is being done. How hard is it to fix the bugs and update the App? I just repurchased my Volo Pass for a pretty penny and cannot access it via the App (obvi) OR the website!! So it’s useless. Find your city recreation leagues or anything else offered in your city before playing in the Volo leagues. They come in with super low fees, force everyone else out of business. ✓ Volo pass not worth itI bough the Volo pass and did drop in with leagues .Once I show up some people in the team say they no longer want a sub and demanding I can’t play in the game. Most members are extremely rude and even some of the staff . This is specifically for the Boston Volo pass . As well as the pickups are not organized. ✓ BEWARE THIS LEAGUEBEWARE THIS LEAGUE: This is NOT a social league, they will from the top say they care about safety and fair play, but in practice they could not care less. I have played 1 season and 2 games with this league and I have seen unsafe play. This includes cleating players so badly they are unable to walk, players grappling others by grabbing them by the neck, etc. The referees they hire do not care, they will occasionally call fouls, but I have never seen a yellow or red card no matter how blatant the behavior was. If you are okay with rough play, this shouldn’t be an issue, but if you are worried about you or your child getting seriously injured I would recommend looking for another league. UPDATE: received a call from VOLO today asking me to return to play. I informed them of my safety concerns around a player who injured two of my team mates. They declined to comment on the player and told me that they were “concerned.” With no action plan given or any reason to return other than hopefully thing will magically get better. The kids may play for free in this league, but the hospital bills are not free, make sure you calculate that into the cost of playing in this league..BtabaskaVersion: 2.3.5

✓ Subpar Basketball LeagueI have played in many different basketball leagues (both recreational and competitive) in different cities, and this is the only time I’ve left a review online. The referees they use don’t seem to care about basketball and allow for reckless/dangerous play at times. Refs are also unfamiliar with the rules and functionality of the game. I had a poor experience my first season, but didn’t want to give up on the league/my team. We actually chose a different day, time, and location the second time around and ended up with the same referees and an even worse experience than the first time around. ✓ New to Volo, bad communicationVolo took over our sports league that our team has been playing in for 5 years. We were asked to download the app and confirm whether we would show up to games and use it primarily for this reason. We scored one goal tonight and lost the game 2-1 because unbeknownst to our team, it was charity night and the other team paid 50 dollars for two goals.
