Take care of a group of travelers on a post-apocalyptic road-trip across the United States in this turn-based survival game. Fight scary creatures, rescue stranded survivors, and scavenge for supplies like fuel, first aid kits, and weapons. Decide where to go next, whether it's upgrading this wrecked car, or rescuing that dog. Just remember, there are consequences for every action. Get ready for close calls, dramatic escapes, hard choices, arguing about whether or not that dog gets rescued, and the end of the world.

Features:

- Always keep fuel in the tank. Stay away from the creatures. Be careful. Be quiet.
- Loud sounds attract trouble, and there's no way you can fight them all. Grab as much gas as you can, rescue that trapped stranger, and get back in the car before it's too late.
- Travel West, through grasslands, over mountains, across deserts, and to even stranger places. Every level, roadmap, and character is randomly generated, so each trip is new.
- Equip dozens of items, including medkits, shields, axes, potted plants, scavenged armor, and luggage racks.
- A completely new end of the world from Finji (Canabalt, Night in the Woods).

✓ Needs a little bit more...This game is beautiful, new and interesting. I’m in love with horror and post-apocalyptic games and I think that OVERLAND has the perfect combination of both genres. However, I think that in the next update, whenever that might be, Finji should add more characters and further developed dialogue, at some points it is repeated, boring or irrelevant. I know that this might be asking for a lot but I wholeheartedly believe that if a hunger level bar, or whatever you think is most appropriate, is added that it would definitely give the player more tasks resulting in increased engagement and enjoyment in general. Also, an idea to think about is adding a home that the characters can build and reside in. But again to reiterate, it is an amazing game for thousands of reasons, to mention a few: graphics, design, quality, narrative and concept. Absolutely stunning! I must also acknowledge that the ending is emotional and beautiful but could be improved in regards to the first improvement point I made. ✓ Full Game is Really GoodThe beginning is reeeeeally frustrating because its hard to figure out the controls, BUT!!!! now that I’ve played the game in full, I’m really glad I stuck with it. Having patience and restarting the level is REALLY the way to play this game. It was challenging, but doable, and I made it to end game with a full van, full health people, and a doggy!! The world is interesting, and I enjoy the strategy of it, nothing is too punishing. Tip: if you’re having trouble switching characters, tap THAT character and then the bottom left tab description thingy. Its so much easier to switch characters once you have more people too..TattasalsaVersion: 1.1.1

✗ Really great concept but...Immediately starting out, the concept of the game is very interesting. I gave it three stars because it has some issues that make it a chore to play. Let’s start off with the cons. Cons: Controls could use a reworking. Characters are not upgradable, I would have like to see an experience bar to level up the characters perhaps having some characters that are good at some things than others. e.g. healing, scavenging, alien-bashing Pros: The concept of the game is very good! I like the idea of items. And the choices are also a good idea but perhaps one that could have more variety. Overall I give it 3-stars. It’s not bad but it could use some work. ✗ Beta game that needs completing.Feels like an early access steam beta and plays like one. You also cannot defend against any enemies and they one hit kill your car. which makes the game extremely frustrating to play. Overland looks like it has potential but it needs a lot more work done on it to make it into a proper game. Like some other reviewers have said it was rushed to release for Apple Arcade. I'm noticing a trend with Apple Arcade games being rushed and suffering because of it. So two stars from me.
