Pealim — Hebrew Verb Forms for Positive User Reviews

Great App5 stars because this app is meant for looking up and learning verb forms, and the app does that job exceedingly well. I wish it had more nouns and adjectives so that I could use it exclusively as a dictionary. Between Pealim and Google Translate, I can work through quite a lot..Version: 0.5.1

Great App for HebrewThis app is excellent. Kol hakavod. Would you be able to add a feature that allows me to look up a shoresh, and then see all the different binyanim in which that shoresh is used (similar to the organization in Bolozky’s 501 Hebrew verbs)? Would also be very helpful if I could switch to a different Binyan from within a word. Last, it would be really helpful to include example sentences for how a word is used in context. Thanks again for a great app..Version: 0.2.3

CalvinFabulous. Great layout and structure. Excellent vocabulary.Version: 0.4.0

An excellent productThis is an excellent app and one that I use daily. I wish that I could turn nikkud (vowels) off, but otherwise it is fantastic..Version: 0.10.1

Hard to useThis is a revision to my original review. After speaking with app support I was able to solve the problem of letters getting cut off by reducing the font size. App support was very helpful. A toggle in settings to allow or disallow vowel symbols under the letters would be helpful in learning. Also the app does not seem to allow landscape view when the phone is tilted. Still it’s a good app for learning. I would recommend it to any student of Hebrew..Version: 0.4.0

Great!! But Missing An Essential FeatureHello! I love the app and it’s so helpful in my journey to learn Hebrew. However, I don’t see an option to change Binyan. Please, please add the constructor option like the website. I would love to click on the “Pa’al” within the app and select the Binyan I want. This would be so great. Thank you!.Version: 0.2.3

Bookmark capability?Would be great to be able to bookmark verbs that I am learning..Version: 0.3.1

The best Hebrew study toolWhen I was a absolute beginner, I talked to my ulphan teacher, he pointed out a fact that learning a language especially Hebrew, the key is learn the verbs, verbs containing everything including the roots for noun. Pealim give me the best access to learn Hebrew verb..Version: 0.9.0

Please add this!!!This app truly is saving my life when it comes to learning Hebrew... BUT what would make it even better? A feature where you can save verbs in a set of flashcards or folders. I am studying law so I want to put all of the law verbs in a folder so I can go back and learn the verbs that I need without having to search them every time. Thank you!.Version: 0.8.0

Amazing, hope to expect more of itIt is great. Extremely helpful. But the website still does show more about the targeted words. The web version also shows nouns adjectives with the same roots and verbs with the same roots in other verb groups. Hope those will be added to later versions of this app, but still amazing app, thanks!.Version: 0.2.3

Very good, I don’t know why the reviews are currently so mixed.Very good, I don’t know why the reviews are currently so mixed. Very clean and intuitive interface. I am glad I bought it. Thank you to whoever made it..Version: 0.10.1

DanVery very nice dictionary. Better then others. Not sure why, but all the dictionaries (including this one), don’t include Huf’al and pu’al binyanim. And if you guys are already searching on everything, include the root. Idle like to see להכתיב show up if I search for כתב. Also if you had a couple of font sizes (for the reading glasses folks), would be much appreciated..Version: 0.4.0

Incredible - Clean and Fast! Finally a beautiful, clean, application that just simply works! I love how clean the interface is which just the information that’s needed and no more. Also simply having the Hebrew pronouns on the side instead of “First Person Singular” or jargon like that really helps stay “in the language” and is much faster and less distracting. Keep up the awesome work!.Version: 0.10.0

Awesome app!I love this app, it’s very nicely designed. Good offline. I was pleasantly surprised to see it has nouns too! My suggestion is maybe to add a little red or grey v. or n. in the search results to show if it’s a noun/verb/adjective, or maybe automatically group the results by noun and verb. I recommend making sure m/f order is consistent as sometimes the order is flipped for adjectives and nouns, and adding a submit feedback option. Also, If you decide to make an english to Hebrew phrase translator with transliteration, I will be your first customer since it doesn’t really exist anywhere.Version: 0.6.1

Excellent study aidVery pleased with this app. Initially I thought it only contains verbs and that alone would have been enough; I was very impressed to see that it has other vocabulary elements (nouns etc) as well. Well done!.Version: 0.10.0

Update to earlier reviewOriginal: The App Store said $9.99 But the download was charged at $29.99! What gives? :::: update: got a very quick good response from the developer— thank you for checking this out and getting back to me. I think the charge listed was a summary including a renewal that should show up separately, not your fault. Haven’t resolved yet but I think I see what happened. And I appreciate your quick response. Meanwhile have been using the app and really like it!.Version: 0.5.1

Not as good as the site but very usefulAs mentioned by others the app does only offer verbs. The interface is very easy to use and it’s a useful tool. Can’t wait to have it completed soon.Version: 0.3.1

First Class AppPerfect execution of Hebrew word lookup. It is a simple app that does only exactly what it is supposed to do, and does it extremely well. If I was to suggest an improvement, it would be nice to be able to rearrange favorites. Cheers.Version: 0.9.0

This is a great app. I have some suggestionsI really like this app, it’s very easy to use and with a nice clean interface. I would love a more advanced search- perhaps being able to categorize by binyan or see a comprehensive list of all the verbs. I really really hope we can also have nouns and adjectives added as there are on the Pealim website. That would be incredibly useful and I wouldn’t have to switch back and forth between apps. Please continue to update and develop! Great work!.Version: 0.2.3

Superb app for learning HebrewThanks for this great app. One question - will you include the feminine plural future in verb conjugations? I see it in the web version, but not mobile..Version: 0.6.0

Needs nouns and adjectivesThis is a good app. However, I bought it thinking that, like the website, it would also include adjectives and nouns. A major improvement would be the addition of adverbs, nouns and adjectives like the website.Version: 0.2.3

Good AppLove the app with all my heart. I’m definitely aching for the Inflection tables for nouns though. Pretty please? Keep up the good work..Version: 0.3.0

The best resource for conjugationWhile the number of entries of headwords remains somewhat modest, there is no app out there that has the complete conjugation tables for hebrew verbs, nouns, adjectives, prepositions, etc. like Pealim offers. It is an invaluable resource..Version: 0.7.0

Great possibilities!Very clear interface and useful. At the moment, it only delivers one conjugation table for a given root. I would like to be able to enter a root and see all of the conjugation tables available for that root. I am looking forward to further development of this app..Version: 0.5.1

Incredible Resource for Learning HebrewI would love to see the verbal nouns where available. Also, it would be great to have all the forms (male, female, etc) listed for a given adjective or noun. Thank you for a great app..Version: 0.4.0

We need couple more featuresThe app works perfectly but is not as full as the site 1) when one puts in a root, the site would give all the binyanim that are connected to it. The app does not. For example when I punch in פ-ג-ש I just get לפגוש and that is it, there is no way to way to find out that there is also להיפגש connected to the root. One specifically should look for that one. Bottom line - unless a user knows already which building blocks are used with a specific root there is no way to find out via app unlike the site 2) ‏לשון עתיד in plural feminine gender pertinence show the masculine conjugation in the app only, unlike the site that gives us the ״-נה״ form as well Thank you.Version: 0.3.0

Add prepositions?Superb app. Reminds me of the ok’d Maskilon text. How about adding prepositions that each verb takes (sometimes more than one and then each one changes the meaning of the word ) ?!.Version: 0.6.0

Mostly helpful but there are mistakes.! Is no correct in past tense להסתיים הסתיים NOT נסתיים.Version: 0.9.0

Good AppApp is clean and quick. I would take inspiration from Pleco: flash cards, etc..Version: 0.7.0

Great app — need a couple more features…As others have indicated, this is a great app. But a few more basic features would improve it tremendously. 1. Need ability to save words to a list, or better yet, multiple lists or folders. I saw someone else also requested this recently. (I had a similar verb table app a few years ago that could do this, but that app is no longer available. It still works on my iPad, but not on my iPhone. ) 2. That same app also allowed you to choose font size. On the phone, vowels can be hard to discern. 3. It’s nice and convenient that passive forms are displayed on same conjugation page as active ones, but would be helpful to include the binyanim for passive forms, just as they are indicated for active ones..Version: 0.8.0

Excellent and responds to feedbackGreat app with extremely responsive developers! I use the website regularly and think this version is excellent. Interface is clean, aesthetically pleasing and easy to use. As with the website I can search by conjugated forms to get an original word plus all it's conjugations and related words. Also words have transliterations, and searching by shoresh is possible. It's incredibly useful. The first thing I noticed upon purchase was the lack of a feature. When I messaged the developer about it, he responded in less than a week! That feature is now part of the app. In fact, it looks like missing features listed in other reviews have generally been added. I found: Search by shoresh, "See also" sections, nouns, adjectives, adverbs, and binyanim pual and hufal within the current release. I'm generally skeptical of paying for apps with free website alternatives, but I'm very happy to have bought this. I'll be recommending it to the other students in my ulpan..Version: 0.6.0

Great appI noticed yall responding to comments. I have a request for this app, if you can add audio that would make this app near perfect.Version: 0.5.1

Traductions en français disponiblesCe serait super d’avoir les traductions en français également ! Merci.Version: 0.4.0

BenGood app but it really needs a history and a favourite verbs function so that we would not have to always type the verb all over again every time..Version: 0.5.1
