Imprint: Learn Visually for Negative User Reviews

Frustrating screen orientation on iPadI absolutely love what this app does but I can’t believe that in 2023 you can’t allow the screen to reorient on the ipad, which means it’s for iPhone and not for iPad. Many of us do our reading on our iPad but because the app doesn’t allow the screen to re-orient when I use my iPad in the horizontal position like a laptop (which is 100 percent of the time), I have to hold my iPad vertically or prop it up. I find myself deciding not to do my imprint readings at coffee shops, etc. because this is extremely awkward and the iPad gets quite heavy if I have to hold it that way for long and impossible if I’m juggling coffee, etc. When you make the next update, can’t you please add a genuine ipad version so that I can use it? Seriously, on most iOS development apps, this is literally accomplished by clicking on a checkbox before compiling. As I say, I love the app but if you can’t put out an iPad friendly version then I am going to end my subscription once the freebie week is over. Once that happens, I won’t be back as there are other more iPad friendly options out there. I really would like Imprint the best if it weren’t for this limitation that is basically developer imposed..Version: 4.0.7

Probably sells your dataImmediately after registering, even before paying I get leadership related emails. Unbelievable!.Version: 3.5.42

Singed up for a trial and was charged fullSuch a scam this app. They said I can try it for a week and they would send me a reminder in 5 days then I could decide if I want to pay 150$ a year for a subscription. I pressed ok thinking I may check it out and I was fully charged in seconds upon clicking it. Now trying to chase somebody to refund me. Of course no luck in getting there. Horrible scam.Version: 4.0.10

Gorgeous, but overpricedThough this app is really well done, I just can’t abide by the astronomical price. I understand that creating individualized graphics for each book takes time and money, but there are only about 50 titles in the app right now (May 2021) and I can easily get through a full book in under half an hour. That doesn’t give me nearly enough content to justify the high subscription price. I used it for the trial and loved it, but sadly couldn’t see myself continuing when I know I’ll run through every title in the span of a few months. If they cut the price in half, I might consider it, but even that is asking a lot of customers for a low time-to-spend ratio value. Beautiful graphics and console summaries are amazing, but the value proposition just is t there at this time. Hopefully they can adjust this as I’m sure it’s keeping many people from actively subscribing..Version: 3.4.3

Cool app but too expensiveI really like the app and the idea but honestly thing the price plans are a bit OTT. You either pay $150 a year (assuming that’s usd which is currently $261 nzd) or 22.50 a month (~$39). I’d love to use the app more but it’s not something I can afford. Obvious answer is go for the yearly subscription but I don’t have the cash for that, then the monthly subscription price isn’t justifying enough for an app I’m still unsure I’ll be using or not..Version: 3.5.37

Refund needed for the subscriptionCan i please get a refund on my yearly subscription, I am not using the app anymore because I can’t find the time. Please charge me for the months i have used the app. For the remaining months, please provide me a refund. Overall the app is very good. I’ll happily change the review rating if my requirements are fulfilled..Version: 4.1.21

Bad marketingDoesn’t let you know it’s a paid service (and very expensive) until you made all your choices and spent time on the app. I felt trapped.Version: 3.5.32

Useful, but ironicThe app is smooth and responsive. It’s intuitive and yada yada yada. It will make you a smarter and more knowledgeable person for a price. I’ve contemplated this a lot and looked and the statistics and the fact is when education was free, Americans were smarter. You want to take the very thing that’s diminishing our collective IQ and make it a useful tool to educate the masses. I get it but to do that at a price is antithetical to your very mission. You want to make dumb people smarter, dumb people usually have less than everyone else. That’s sort of how it works or has worked until recently. When things were easier and cheaper you could provide it for free. You still can through nonprofit organizations. You could argue that it’s expensive to develop this tech. I’m not arguing that, I’m saying if you want to change the world you have to step up and do it..Version: 3.4.15

They should display the priceI downloaded it , I thought it was free, but after the installation and customization the price came up , which is expensive, never shown on the ad , I will be charged in 5 or 7 days automatically. The price and the payment terms must be shown first otherwise it feels tricky and not trusty. That’s why I deleted it immediately..Version: 3.4.12

Too much clicking - not enough readingI found this a very frustrating method. I just want to read more condensed info and having to keep clicking on separate parts of a section was more time consuming in my opinion and after one chapter I had spent so much time faffing about having to click on different words which would bring up more words, I learnt nothing! It’s clearly a popular app but too much fuss in my opinion. I just want to read!.Version: 3.5.37

An expensive gambleSeeing this advertised on one of the apps you’re saying I won’t use as your app will be top used had me wanting a look. Free you say, with ‘in app purchases’? That’s false advertising as I have to subscribe payment before a free short trial - been there done that and had too many past experiences that I now avoid these. That’s the first reason. The second is seeing no replies to any reviews, especially when being asked for support, so you need to do a bit of work before I even think of giving it a trial. You’ve got a lot of users that love it and you’d probably get more if we don’t have to subscribe and give payment details before it can even be trialled. App deleted. Feel free to let me know if you change that false claim of ‘free, with in app purchases’..Version: 4.1.16

Not worth it.SCAM! Plenty of useless poorly written and biased content. Many fake reviews. Forces you to accept trial period. Sure, it’s easy to use, but so is playdoh. Not worth the expensive price. Avoid!.Version: 3.5.4

Painfully BlandI’m stunned to see all the 4-5 star ratings here. This app wouldn’t be worth a download if it was free and didn’t carry an obnoxious $50/year price tag. Unbelievable. The “visuals” are entirely nonsensical - a perplexing assortment of shapes and arrows combined with a random word out of the one sentence blurb it is meant to illustrate. The only purpose served is to distract you from the juvenile verbal content. The *vast* array of less than 20 “books” (many of which I’ve read in full) to choose from effectively reduces the content down to a few dozen repetitive one-sentence blurbs knocked down to a first grade reading level. It’s one thing to seek more convenient means of benefiting from reading books, but if something needs to be abbreviated to this degree for you to read it you should frankly just stick to watching cartoons as there is really no hope for your level of laziness. I know this was harsh - but come on now.. spark-notes and Wikipedia are free and manage to summarize text without viciously assaulting your intelligence..Version: 2.4.9

Value for money?I love the little animations and the content is pretty good (very concise). I also love the little quizzes. But is it value for money?…No. There isn’t much content at all for an app that costs over £10 a month. Unfortunately, I will be cancelling my membership and going elsewhere for this reason. The courses are extremely short and are very surface level. Not ideal if you want to gain a depth of knowledge on a certain topic. I recommend downloading this app and getting the 1 month subscription, read all the books in 1 month and then unsubscribe. The price should be around £5 a month. £10 is too much of a reach..Version: 3.5.11

Great concept, bad appConcept is great, but lacking very basic things: 1) search button. seriously no search button? 🙂 2) tab with current book that I’m listening or reading. they are many people like me, when you start reading/listing some book but them decided to switch to another one, but still want to continue some time. in progress tab should be different than saved tab in my view, or at least split by two section, “saved for later” and “in progress”. 3) when you started to read book, and later on when you come back, you must continue to read and you cant play it instead? why 😩 4) why can’t I listen and look at the slides at the same time? I find it extremely good when book is playing and in parallel I can look at pictures for visualization. I figured it out how to do it, but this should be in app functionality 😉 5) program extremely extremely laggy, at least on my iphone X, and my ipad pro 2nd generation keeps crushing, maybe it is better on latest devices 🤷🏻‍♂️ if all that fixed, this would be best abstract reading/listing app, and it would definitely worth pay for subscription, for now I’m not sure if I’m going to extend mine, too much hustle.Version: 3.5.10

Too expensiveToo expensive.Version: 4.0.9

Fix itThe app is great but the pricing is crazy high. I’d gladly subscribe if it were adjusted reasonably down at least for students..Version: 3.0.2

What a joke! This is not free at all. It forces you to create an account free for one week; but only after you have spent a free minutes answering all the profiling questions. Should state upfront this behaviour. Because of this false advertising it’s getting the lowest rating. I wonder what else would have been false has I gone ahead. Definitely the intention was not right upfront..Version: 4.0.7

Be careful!Did a free trial, forgot about it and got charged $150. Tried to request a refund but got denied without any reason. Only used the app for one day. Definitely not worth the money especially now that I am struggling to feed my kids and myself this week..Version: 4.2.4

Doesn't load any contentThe menu churns along and eventually displays some options, but when I click on one all I get is a blank screen. I had two thoughts: "Maybe they're having server problems and I should remember to try again later" immediately followed by "that's probably how people forget to cancel the trial that bills a full year at once". I was happy to give it a fair shake for the few cents they paid to send a Facebook ad to me. Based on my trial it seems that it doesn't work and I'm not going to give them more benefit of the doubt with $100 of my money on the line. Buyer beware: If you can, make sure the content actually works on your phone and OS before paying, because it might not..Version: 3.5.1

Fantastic content, but how come no native iPad app?Besides that I’m not able just to sign in to my account and pick up where I left. It forces you to go through the stupid new user landing process without an option to skip it. Will have to stick to iPhone app for now.Version: 3.4.13

Good content until the religious brainwashing comes inThe black swan. No one wants to be forced to listen to your religious subjective content. Additionally I was advertised that I could get your add with a 7 day trial, opting into monthly payment instead of annual negates the trial, even though it was not advertised that way. So I paid $22 AUD for 4 days of app usage..Version: 3.5.1

Great concept but limited books and too expensiveLove the idea and honestly would have considered paying for a membership, but the pricing is way too high to make sense..Version: 3.1.6

Great idea but not enough new content.Great idea and easy to use app. However I’ve taken off two stars as the app is way overpriced for the content available. I would expect much more new content to be added regularly for this price and hope this is something that's fixed, as otherwise I won’t renew..Version: 3.5.4

Do NOT downloadIt automatically charges you for a yearly subscription without even having logged in the app. Do NOT even download..Version: 3.4.20

RobberyWhy are you trying to charge me like £12 a month or £70 a year for extracted information from a load of books? It isn’t even original info, it’s all taken from other peoples books. Why on Earth would I pay for that monthly when I can just buy the book? Waste of money. Waste of my time.Version: 4.1.21

Brilliance fraught with ironyI will never quite get over this app heavily promoting productivity and exploration of literature, but also limiting you to reading one page a day unless you pay. Other than that the concept and execution is great. Hopefully all of these economics courses will someday make companies forget about monthly subscriptions….Version: 3.5.26

FrozenApp has been frozen for the last week and nothing in it working. Tried restarting the phone also. Help!.Version: 3.5.35

Unfinished CoursesI really get so sick of seeing other reviewers whine about not being given something for free that someone else worked hard to create! Wading through the reviews of all of these childish losers makes it hard to find genuine and useful criticism that is worth considering before purchasing. My issue is unfinished content, and I wonder if anyone else has experienced this. I got to day 20 of a 90 day “course” and was actually enjoying it. However, when I reached day 20, I got a message telling me that the content isn’t available yet and offering to notify me when it is!! Are you kidding me? I’m so so so glad I hadn’t subscribed yet and wonder how many other subjects have been thrown up without even being completed. 20 out of 90 isn’t even 1/3 of the content! Shame! Anyway, the content is somewhat watered down, but for a “first thing in the morning” session, it was kind of perfect..Version: 4.1.21

Questionable Customer/Tech SupportI cancelled my subscription through Apple during the 7-day period. So I didn’t get charged through Apple. During the trial period bought one-year subscription from the App Developer. Their customer support was good until something went wrong with my credentials on iPad (iPhone is good). I have been trying to reset my password following their step-by-step instructions without any success. The message on the screen says an email has been sent with a link to reset password. But actually I have received no email. I have sent multiple emails asking for help. I have received no response. Also, this app is horrible on iPad. Screen does not rotate to landscape. And not all info fits on the iPad screen..Version: 4.1.16

Can't do the free trial until you agree to be chargedI am NOT going to trial an app with the risk of being charged for a whole year after 7 days even with a scheduled reminder email. A true trial would allow you to see if you like the app without this rubbish. I'm out..Version: 3.5.1

Great but too priceyFar too few titles for such a hefty subscription. Even with more titles it’s not worth $21/month..Version: 3.1

Very liberalThe library is very left leaning. I would keep the app if subjects weren’t so one sided. This app presents a great opportunity to learn about opinions from the other side of the aisle very simply. Could be a game changer. But I guess not..Version: 3.4.15

Weird business model but okThe cards are just simplistic flowcharts with a sentence beside it. an important sentence, sure. but it basically resembles someone’s notes after reading the book. here’s my problem: why would i pay for someone’s notes? each book’s lucid thing probably takes like, an hour total to make, not including time reading. the goal of this app is to make education more accessible, i thought, but this app could probably easily sustain itself on a genuine free business model. even if half of the books were unlocked for free you could still make it work with good unlockable features. but no lol. the whole thing is behind a paywall to the point where it’s stupid that this is even listed as a free app. my suggestion is to NOT pirate books, do not google “free pdf book title” and look around because that’s bad and you shouldn’t do that..Version: 3.4.13

Very poor libraryThe concept is great but the library is too limited for the price you charge. Honestly CAD 125 per yr is too much for what you can offer..Version: 3.4.13

Beautiful app, but…Buggy and overpriced. The graphics are absolutely beautiful, no complaints there. However, I experienced a ton of bugs. After getting the latest update, all my reading/completed progress was wiped. Annoying, but I thought it would be a one time thing. There was a title that crashed the app for me when it reached a certain point. Sometimes the app would not recognize the free trial and only relaunching would work. Then, for seemingly no reason, my progress would be wiped every time the app was relaunched. The premium titles were still available but my saved cards/reading/completed would reset to nothing every time the app was closed. I tried deleting and reinstalling, but the only thing that did was cancel my trial altogether. This was all in the period of my free trial. I was thinking of getting the monthly subscription after the trial but I give up..Version: 3.5.24

Have been charged for annual subscription when didn’t subscribe! How bad is this, being charged for a subscription especially annual which cost £69 when you never subscribed and only uploaded the app to see what is it about and only used it once. The app is deleted from my phone i have received today a notification that i have been charged. I wouldn’t recommend this as you may be charged for nothing..Version: 4.0.0

Probably awesome - but hate bait and payNothing mentioned about the ongoing cost, be upfront so I don’t waste 5 minutes setting up my personal preferences and then get the ‘last step’ where you are just another paid app.Version: 3.4.30

Poor Free AccessSo far I’ve been pretty disappointed with the experience since it seems like the entire app basically needs to be paid for ($100 a year) to be functional. I can only read the brief synopsis of each book without getting into the following chapters so it’s kinda depressing that there isn’t like a free library that I’ve found. Still gonna keep up with it for a bit to see if it catches on but it just doesn’t seem like there’s enough content available for free to last for any considerable amount of time. And a lot of the topics are pretty basic so I have no interest in spending $100 for access to something with very googlable topics. I have no issues with reading through pages of research so the “good for ADHD” component means very little to me when the content is kind of dry.Version: 4.1.12

SCAM.This app is supposed to be free and they charged me an annual subscription fee ($124.99!) without my consent. I don’t have an account within the app and I barely used it upon downloading it. This charge is being disputed but you can’t reach anyone on the phone. A total scam and the company knows it. I hope I get my money back or I will be disputing it with Apple. (646) 675-4242 Daniel the CEO denied being affiliated with Polywise and won’t direct me to a customer service phone line. Ridiculous..Version: 3.4.22

Decent app with caveatsGreat idea decently executed, but the cost is ridiculous. The end of chapter understanding checks are far too simple to be useful. UI is also lacking - why can’t I quit a learning path I have no interest in? It just keeps popping up with no way to get rid of it..Version: 3.5.42

Great content but disappointing appI really enjoyed the content but the app layout is SO frustrating. It's like the app is bigger than the screen area (using iPhone 7 but was the same when I tried on iPad). Text does not resize, so if there is more than a few lines it will go beyond the screen limit or disappear behind buttons or images. It also means I often can't complete quizzes because I can't see or select a response. My subscription lasts into next year but I've barely used it lately and won't be renewing. Shame that such a silly issue brings down a great concept, especially when it's not exactly cheap!.Version: 4.0.2

Over glorified book summaryI wish the chapters in each “book” lasted a bit longer.. like twice the size, have more details Right now most of the chapters i read skim things, repeat the same ideas 2-3 times, but doesnt offer much I expected this to be similar calibre to teded viseos but it is disappointing Keeps me off instagram though.Version: 4.0.0

So far so goodJust started trying it for 7 days; lots of content. Checking the mechanics of this app..Version: 4.1.4

False advertisingYou may as well make the app $15 to purchase because you can’t do anything in the app unless you pay. Sad, because it’s a really good premise. Uninstalled.Version: 4.2.8

Can’t See All The ContentI love the concept, and I’m liking the app so far in my trial, but the explore page doesn’t have proper margins on my device and the section headers are cut off as well as the leftmost part of the first title on each row. When doing chapters, there are several occasions, especially in a recap or Q/A where whole chunks of a bullet point are hidden below the bottom of the page and the page is not scrollable. I’d happily pay the subscription fee and adjust this rating if these bugs were addressed. But I have a feeling this will get really grating, and after paying a ton of money for one buggy app (Motion), I want to avoid that for now..Version: 4.0.11

Ask for you data before asking you to payScummy way to build a business - first the user wastes 10 minutes providing their personal data for free, then you tell them to use the app they have to pay..Version: 4.2.9

Not what I was expectingLove the UI, and the content in the first learning path I chose. Then I subscribed a year. Unfortunately, the condense contents are becoming more and more boring and useless... The quality is really not what I was expecting... I feel like you are asking people who is not good at this to write things... Very disappointed and don't know how to get money back.Version: 4.1.21

The content runs out if you’re an avid userI enjoyed this app immensely in the beginning. However, after reading all the quality content, I found they are exceptionally slow to add new titles. I had to cancel my subscription since there is no longer enough/any good content left to sustain this cost, and it’s unfortunate to have paid so much and wait out your subscription until it expires rather than getting anything back for them not living up to providing new content. New titles are not added in a timely fashion to support an avid user who is simply meeting the goal (their goal) of 3 chapters a day, so unfortunately I cannot recommend this app and ended up being quite disappointed by it..Version: 4.2.0

Slightly buggyCurrently completing the science of happiness and sometimes doesn’t appear with options to select after asking a multi choice question and occasionally shows up with code for where my answer should’ve been. When I closed the app because of this it locked me out saying I missed a session and I wasn’t ready to partake in it? Bruh.Version: 4.1.4

$$$Think this is a great app idea, can’t justify the cost.Version: 4.1.6

Amazing animation, lame contentThe user experience of this app is incredible, the animations slick and the illustrations perfect. The trouble is the content is wanting. It’s currently a collection of the most obvious stories. What is a black swan event, how did Michelle obamas book become successful, how to stay mindful, how to talk to strangers, value-based investing, astrophysics for dummies, GPT-3 and machine learning.. Massive yawn, predicable topics and predictable reading. Talk to me about unwritten artists like Anni Albers, Yves Klein’s blue, the James Webb telescope, NASA anti-extinction missiles, how to build a racecar, faster than light quantum tunnelling, Disney animation principles, there are so many topics that are far more interesting but this app is a collection of pretty pictures with little substance..Version: 3.4.24

Just read book blurbsApp developer/marketeer at candlelit dinner with bats flying overhead and drinking something eerily close to molten gold, “We make them watch ads for books and *they* pay *us* for it!” Raucous laughter by dinner guests… Good craft has gone into breaking down books to essentials and the illustrations but they could just be paid by advertising money. Two stars for those who did some actual work. Lucid will also never publish exciting new ideas or obscure knowledge because again, only books with massive marketing budgets will be paying the developers to advertise their book through the app..Version: 3.5.25

Great product, but can’t use cross devicesThe content and learning approach with visuals is great. However, I downloaded and paid for this initially on my iPhone. Now I am trying to use this on my iPad, but have been prompted to buy your product again to continue. There is oddly no Account management area on your app to... manage your account, password, see subscription status, etc. I hope this is coming soon. Giving this app 3 stars for now. I will come back and resubmit updated review(s) per progress I see in this regard. I really need to be able to view this on a larger screen on my iPad as I get eye fatigue with the small screen on my iPhone. Thanks!.Version: 2.3.9

Help. I can’t even sign in. But still got chargedCanceled but still got charged for a year. Also now I can’t even sign in..Version: 3.5.7

It’s free for 7 daysNo offence, but don’t compare this application to Instagram (which you did through a sponsored ad that enticed me to install the app). Now as a consequence of that you’re going to get a poor review because these two apps aren’t even comparable. A free platform such as Instagram you can get heaps of value from the people you follow etc for FREE. This application requires a subscription based service, a free trial for 7 days and then that’s it, I can’t use it anymore unless I pay $120 a year..Version: 3.4.26

Total scamBruh the five star reviews are Clearly fake and if you believe them you Clearly have brain damage.Version: 3.5.1

Good content, but overpricedI love the app and the content, but it’s too expensive for the small amount of content offered, especially when you consider you can only read on an iPhone, not an iPad..Version: 3.4.33

Expensive Subscription. Should be a one paymentI’d like to leave a good review for this, but my trial was short-lived, as I had Covid, and when I came to use the app they’d already taken £70 out of my account. For what I saw of the app, which wasn’t much, I’d say it’s worth is about a quarter of that, certainly not £70. If it was £20 a year I’d use it, but at this price it’s too much. I got a refund. Or should I say I’m still waiting for a refund!!.Version: 4.0.8

Lots to like, lots of irritations, costs WAY too muchI got this app to replace Facebook as my go-to idle reading. Good idea, right? Big concepts distilled into small chunks for easy reading. I have even bought some of the original books these are based on. Good stuff, a nice morning reading ritual, and a great way to make idle time useful by learning or re-learning. I got the Yearly Subscription. But, just four months later, I am canceling it. Here’s why. $100 per year is just too dang much. I feel they put too much energy (money) into rather distracting animated graphics. A diagram? Sure. But a fully produced PowerPoint book report? Too much, unnecessary, irritating. One sentence per page. What is this? Twitter? You can put more than one sentence per page. It’s like a click-bait listicle version of a book. Just keep clicking so we can track your engagement! 🙄 Finally, a myriad of small UI problems ranging for basic order-of-operations to larger navigation weirdnesses. So yeah. There it is. Not for me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.Version: 4.0.6

Yearly membership charged in errorI wanted to try the 7 day free trial, but I can see that instead, I have been charged for a yearly subscription. I’m not interested in a yearly subscription, and I would like to cancel it, as I was charged in error. Thanks.Version: 4.0.7

I forgot to cancel TRIALHi Lucid Admin. I forgot to cancel the TRIAL so it automatically charged me. I canceled the subscription but still charged me for $139.99. Please help me..Version: 3.5.5

App not workingMy first recourse was to go to app support rather writing a review - but app support does not lead you to any form of support - it just leads you to “download this app”. I did download the app and have had 2 issues: 1) the enter your email to get a reminder of your subscription payment did not work 2) I cannot get any of the books to load beyond 5% so as yet have been unable to take advantage of the app at all.Version: 3.5.38

CrashingI’m two days in my free trial and I love it. I’d buy it if it weren’t for the fact that it crashes every 2 minutes while I’m reading. Highly annoying. Your developers need to sort this out..Version: 3.5.34

First impressionLucid is simple to use, but I have reservations about the simplicity of the approach. My main concern on first reading it is the depth of intellectual rigour that is put into it by the application’s authors. Also depth that can be gleaned from it by the reader..Version: 3.4.13

Like the idea, not so much the executionI’m a visual learner, so I was excited to have an app in which I could just scroll but actually gain something from it. Honestly I love the idea of this app but it’s just not worth the $100/year commitment (maybe a monthly subscription but with the lack of enough engaging content, I just can’t see myself committing to this app for an entire year). Additionally, I would love if there was any way to download books for reading offline (on the plane, the road, etc) and with the small amount of data per book this should not be a problem on the development side. Overall, this app has great potential, but it’s just not quite there yet for me to pay and commit to it..Version: 3.5.28

Deceptive advertising, poor customer serviceAn add that offered an intelligence test inspired me to sign up. The test doesn’t exist, just lies. Sent inquiry to Ludid support which was ignored. Trust these muppets with my hard earned? Yeah, NAH!!.Version: 3.5.1

Unable to cancel subscriptionI tested the software for a few use on the first 7 days and did not realize the trial period ended in 7 days and I get automatically charge for a 1 full year subscription. I have not use the app after the 7 days trial and forget about having the app. I did not realize my account get charged until after 60 days. I trial to contact Apple support and also the developer to cancel the remaining months of my subscription. I get push around between Apple and the developer with no solutions. The answer is always you have missed the 60 days to cancel and we can’t help you. I was willing to pay for the 60 days due to my own mistake, but Apple will not refund me for the remaining months that I was not using the app. I don’t even have a valid account to sign in to the app. This is very upsetting and bad practice process. I hope do not happen to others. Beware of when testing out the app..Version: 4.1.15

Just a book appDon’t try and over sell your product. It’s just a reading app that costs a lot of money. Don’t waste your time downloading..Version: 3.4.19

Inauthentic TransparencyImprint looks like a fantastic app. I was roaring keen to get started and improve my productivity, and possibly my mental well-being. Nothing made me more excited for this than the fact Imprint was advertised as a FREE app, that offered in-app purchases. Fantastic, I thought. The best education is free. Apps such as Duolingo exemplify this. Imagine my surprise then, when Imprint revealed itself as NOT free. They simply give you a free 7 day trial and then ask for $150/year. This is not a free app. It is false advertising, bordering on manipulative. A shame really, because the app looks amazing. I really just wish the marketing team / leadership would stand up straight behind their product, shoulders back - instead of attempting to clickbait people into subscribing. Apple: please categorise your apps better so that PAID apps cannot charade as FREE apps. Imprint: there are plenty of people out there with the financial resources to pay for your product. There’s no need to try and trick the rest of us..Version: 4.0.7

MisleadingWell, at least I learned about deception and lack of transparency before deleting the app less than 5 minutes after installing it..Version: 3.5.14

Good app - lacking materialGreat app idea, simple to use, thought provoking and well made. I feel it lacks variety for reading and has a very ‘self-improvement’ focused bias which I think there is too much of. One sided in terms of reading material ‘How not to be racist?’ is a book but the app offers no books on differing viewpoints. I’d like to see more actual studies being simplified across the board..Version: 3.4.17

Please add iCloud syncingI’ve downloaded the app and am using the week trial before I commit to the year long subscription. The app seems to be ‘okay’ so far. With always being on the run and getting things done, I find it difficult to use if you’d like to use different devices. I downloaded the app last night on my iPad Pro. I get it it’s supposed to be used on iPhone, but it worked fine. On my morning walk with my dog I downloaded the app on my phone and tried to pick up where I left off last night and because there was no syncing, I had to search the book and find the page again. After the walk, I decided to sit the back yard and read some articles on my iPad mini. I decided it would be a good time to download the app and try it on the iPad mini. I faced the same issue as my phone. I know these are supposed to be short and sweet but there should be a continue reading section synced on all my devices. Besides that feature, the content is okay. I’d like to spend more time reading with the week I have and I’ll update as I go. This is day 2 of my trial..Version: 4.1.20

Trop dispendieux!Bien que le concept de résumer chapitre par chapitre le contenu de livres à succès, il n’en demeure pas moins que 125$ par an pour une appli qui débute est vraiment trop dispendieux..Version: 3.4.20

Short synopsisOn the upside it’s a very short condensed version of a variety of books, the graphical idea in marketing attracted me but frankly did little to add value to the content, and the synopsis was too short unless you knew the book already, the library is too small, I consumed a number of books in one day as they only take 15 mins - would make a good bolt on to audible but not at this price ..Version: 3.3.3

Great app but very expensive. The app is vey well done. Great summaries for books using visual cues. However, very expensive monthly and yearly prices. Will use it for trial period then will cancel. Will consider subscribing if current yearly price less than half..Version: 3.4.13

Absolutely overpricedThe subscription price for this app is way too high for what you get..Version: 4.0.7

Resources are good, BUTThe ‘today page’ never loads the ‘new releases’ section properly, so I’m unable to quickly jump to any of the new releases mentioned on this page. The ‘what’s popular in the lucid community’ section I don’t think has changed in the last 6 months. I love the resources but my main barrier to using this app effectively is the low UX experience.. nothing is easy to navigate in this app! And when spending £70 for the year, I think a user deserves a seamless experience throughout, as well as more regular additions to the app..Version: 3.5.10

Be upfrontGreat idea, however lack of transparency over subscription price makes me feel a bit tricked. Maybe be more upfront at the beginning. Customers don’t like feeling duped.Version: 3.5.6

Pictures are distracting and text not completeI would say this is intended to provide the highlights from popular erudite texts by capturing the focus of each chapter over less pages and trying to represent those ideas in pictures. I find the pictures distracting and the text not detailed enough..Version: 3.5.1
