✓ Fast Response!I found a tick on the back of my knee after doing some gardening. My wife removed it, and we put it in a jar. My wife also asked advice on social media re: tick id so we learned of the app. I took a pic and sent it in and got a very quick response (on a Saturday!). Turned out it was a black legged tick, so with this knowledge I am going to send the tick to a lab and for analysis re: lyme disease bacteria..Version: 1.1

✓ A great user-friendly AppUsed this site recently on my iPad after moving from Ontario to B.C. . It took the worry out of picking up a tick on my neck while doing some wild flower photography , after straying into some grassy brush and not heading the warning to stay on the established path. The App worked like a dream . It has a video on how to take the photo for identification , and this time I followed the instructions . I received an identification and helpful info in just a few hours and luckily my tick was not able to carry Lymes disease which was my prime concern. Thanks developers ! Well done you. ✓ Bonne idée d'app collaborativeJe ne peux juger de la qualité des données mais en tout cas ça fonctionne bien et est certainement utile, bravo! Cependant, un peu PLUS d'information contextuelle (date de début de la collecte dans chaque ptovince, le fait que Scapularis EST la bibitte dangereuse, etc.) serait appréciée à l'intérieur de l'app sur ce qui est après tout relié à un projet de recherche scientifique: dire en quelque part que ça vient de l'université Bishop (et sans même un lien web spécifique!) me semble un peu court... d'ailleurs il y a très peu (=aucune) information dans les sites web etick.ca ou de la dite université sur le processus de collecte et qualité du traitement; p.ex. QUI sont les "professionnels" qui identifient les dites tiques: l'ASPC, le LSPQ, la dre Savage, les doctorants de la dre Savage, les étudiants en maîtrise de la dre Savage, les classes de bac de la dre Savage, etc. ? À la rigueur ce manque de renseignements pose des problèmes éthiques... N.B. suite à votre réponse (dont je vous remercie), la 2e partie ("Notre équipe...") aurait avantage à être sur votre site web et/ou dans l'app (avec un lien direct vers la page web la plus spécifique disponible). ✓ Amazing app!!!I was bit by a tick and was pretty sure it wasn’t a dear tick but I needed an expert opinion to be able to sleep better at night! I asked them questions via email and got answered immediately! Who does that anymore right? Well they answered all my questions then I submitted my pictures and I didn’t expect to get my identification in the same day!!! I’m sure they stayed late at work to get it to me so fast. ✓ People fantastic, app a little glitchyAfter removing a burrowed tick I wanted to know if it was a species that could be a carrier of diseases I should be aware of. The app would redirect me to the website instead of submitting through the app but I got an email back pretty quickly with lots of great information. They were fantastic to deal with. ✓ Tick Identification - Fast resultsI found a tick attached on my wife’s neck. After removing it, I took a picture and sent it for identification using the eTick app. The results came back in a few hours - this was a Sunday! Eye bleach may be needed after using.
