✓ Not ready for prime timeNot consistent. When doing searches and browsing you get different responses than on web page, the photo selection isn’t consistent. Sometimes you get a lit if oucs and sometimes you don’t get any. Had hopes but not delivering..Version: 1.0.4
✓ Okay, but significantly lacking.I haven’t used the website in a while because it isn’t convenient. When I saw the app was out, I thought it would be a great way to interact with outer artists in my area. The biggest issue I see is that, since you have to search for individuals by the MM#, maybe that should be something included in the profile on the app! There are many other problems that need work, but that is my largest complaint since it makes it much more difficult to find people. Really hoping this app becomes something great, but it is early in its stages right now..Version: 1.0.4

✓ Includes the basic functionality you'd want, but none of it works rightThe app doesn't months showing me a total of the same five pictures on the main feed. There must have been an update along the way because I actually have a feed I can scroll through now, but there seems to be no rhyme of reason to the photos I'm being shown. Not from photographers I know. Not models I know. Pretty often, it's groupings of 6 photos that are simply variations of the same photographer, model, and pose. The app would be worth it though, for the travel notifications which would arguably be my most frequent stop, except is utterly useless. I'm in Massachusetts and no matter what radius I set, I'm seeing postings for Chicago, Los Angeles, Canada, Oslo Norway... If you're geographically challenged, none of those are within 25 miles of me. It's like the app that was released was a collection of placeholders for ideas of things they someday WANT to include in the app, but it wasn't real important to release them in any particular sense of being functional..Version: 1.0.4

✓ People running scams on this appI’ve used MM before and have had good experiences and still like using it for networking purposes. However I think you guys need a way to better weed out scammers on this app. I’ve had an encounter with someone using the name of a legit company to send people bad checks claiming they will pay you to do a job and asking you to send some money to the clothing designer out of the amount they send you. I realized this when the check was no good. THANK GOD I couldn’t cash it. These people are criminals and can cause unsuspecting people to get in serious trouble. PLEASE work on a better way to screen these types of profiles so that these things don’t happen again..Version: 1.0.7
✓ BuggyI have a very long and complex password and am able to login on the web but not the app. Open the browser from with the app by clicking forgot password, the logging in also does not login the user on the app. Overall quality seems low, the developers should consider learning TDD..Version: 1.0.0

But for now: - I can only accept friend requests, not send them. - I can’t follow anyone - I get notifications that someone has messaged me or has sent me a friend request, and then I go to the app and there is nothing there for hours. Then randomly, the friend requests show when I check again much much later. - I can’t see comments or likes on my own pictures - Newsfeed almost never refreshes I’m sure this is only because the app is new, I hope to see these problems being fixed very soon.Version: 1.0.5

✓ After years of ModelMayhem being a joke, it renews its statusSeriously. You guys should have had an app out at least a decade ago, you wait this long and then release the bare minimum to be called an app. Beginning to think both this website and app are ran by like three creepy photographer dudes with no coding experience and refuse to ask for help. (Edit- looked into it and it’s ran by a company called “Internet Brands”, that also owns a site called “DVDtalk” if that tells you anything.) I don’t understand how this company hasn’t capitalized on the social media desire for photography/modeling more. The market is there, and somehow you’ve failed to release a single UI on either desktop or mobile that would be actually pleasant to use. There’s like 3 different ways to add people now, none of which make sense, comments, wall comments, picture comments, picture groups, messages maybe depending on if the person you’re trying to communicate with sees your friend request. And then you release an app after all of this time and it barely works. You all need to hire some new people and rebuild the entire thing from the ground up, not try to wrap an app around an already poorly built site. Trim the fat! You don’t need so many different ways to possibly interact with people, cut the bulls**t and make it simple and easy to use. Like having friend requests AND follows, PICK ONE IT MAKES NO SENSE. ✓ So much brokenSure. Apple blocks you from showing nsfw content but your link in app to see it links BACK TO THE APP!!! Then again your web site isn’t much better. Where’s the filter when in mobile mode? You need a new dev team if you want your site to grow. ✓ Not functionalI work as a quality analyst for a software company, and I am boggled that this app ever made it past testing. You’re rarely able to approve or deny friend requests in the app. The majority of the time, the notifications don’t update no matter how many times you close all your app tabs and try to go back in. Making changes to your profile on the app only update on the website sometimes. I don’t own a computer, and the website is only really entirely functional on the full desktop version on google chrome on my iPhone. I have no idea how it’s possible for a mobile site and an app to function as poorly as MM. I would love to use the service more, but it’s nearly impossible to do much without having a computer. I don’t know if I’ll be sticking around. I may pursue other freelance gigs because this is not it..Version: 1.1.0

✓ App doesn’t recognize vip membership statusI don’t want to be too critical because I know this app is brand new and I am very thankful! When I signed into the app, it did not recognize that I pay for a VIP membership to Model Mayhem. It shows me as being a non-paying member, only 5 out of the 75+ photos in my portfolio appear on the app, and many of the profiles that I visit frequently of my friends have display anywhere from 0 to 3 photos. ✓ Welcome but needs improvement.Super glad to have the app on iOS finally. Interface and design are nice, but there are some issues: You can’t see all of the photos people post - anything flagged Mature is just missing completely. The gear for settings should provide a NSFW mode check box, but it host tells you to go the webpage to pick your settings. However, even if you are set to see NSFW images on the web, the app is still missing them. This is difficult for users who may shoot artistic nude images, making the app useless. In addition, the Follow feature on the feed doesn’t do anything. Your feed is an unchanging wall of the same images you’ve seen every time you open the app. It’s not possible to send messages. If you click Send Message on someone’s profile, it opens a page to fill out SUBJECT (as if your message is an email) but there is no section to write an actual message. This app does not work in the current form as a networking tool. It’s fine I guess for browsing (incomplete) profiles, but that’s about it..Version: 1.0.0

They just had to create a lame app, even though no one cares anymore. And the Meta and 1 Infinite Loop overloads have their lame rules for art. ✓ Has got to be the worst app I’ve ever used ..I only had the app for 1 day and I can’t even get past creating and getting my profile approved because it lags or crashes or glitches out and ontop of that I can’t even change my profile picture to be a photo and not the generic silhouette. My phone has given this app access to all photos but still nothing comes up when I try to add my profile photo . I even tried letting it load and just walking away from my phone for a few minutes and still nothing. This app looks like it was released before it was ever tested by anybody .. I have a new phone With up to date IOS and this app will absolutely not work. It’s not convenient for me to attempt to use the desktop site ..Version: 1.0.5

✓ PatheticIn an age where Model Mayhem struggles to remain relevant against heavyweights like Instagram, this app just confirms that MM is on the way out. There are so many bugs or broken features that it's not even worth the effort. The entire app is laggy. Photos don't display correctly, often cutting off the model's head. The feed consistently shows the same photos and seems to not ever get refreshed. If you do click on an image in the feed and then hit the "back" button, the feed automatically goes back to the top, forcing you to scroll past all the other images again just to continue scrolling. Sometimes there will be a "!" mark in a bubble, which on any other app in the world means to click on that mark for more information or an explanation of the warning or error. But in this app you just see the little warning with no further options. Press on it all you want but nothing is going to happen. And the list of issues goes on and on. I discontinued my premium membership on MM a few years ago due to poor customer service, but have maintained my presence on the site hoping the platform would remain relevant. This app, however, just seems to confirm its demise. For any young model or photographer just starting out, here's some advice: don't waste your time with this terrible app. Stick to Instagram..Version: 1.0.5

✓ App seems to be in need of repair ?I typically use the Model Mayhem website but noticed the ‘like’ option on photos (according to some members) is currently only available on the app. The problem is the photos aren’t showing and neither are the follower/following on the profile. ✓ Tldr; almost entirely useless appAfter long use of the website I tried the app. I’ve found this: - so far the app has made me log in every time I opened it, whereas the website doesn’t do that + once in the app you can view your inbox - it appears to let you write new messages but fails to send them + it will let you check notifications and accept friend requests from that screen + the app gives you a preview of someone’s profile with a few sample images from their port - if you try to open someones full image gallery from their profile preview, the pop up overtakes the screen with no way to close it. You cycle through the images infinitely or you back out of their profile entirely to whatever page you’d previously been on - alternately if you try to proceed from a profile preview to view their full profile as linked, it just opens an in-app browser to take you to the web version of model mayhem anyway, defeating the point of having an app.Version: 1.1.9
✓ Good concept, but unsuccessful conversion into appI’ve been a MM member for a while now. Unfortunately, the app didn’t deliver in what it seems MM wanted to achieve. The simplified concept with the addition of a social media-style page for members to showcase new photos is great; it just needs to work. The app often logs me out and does not let me log back in (currently when I tap on the account icon to sign on it goes to a blank page and freezes), my full portfolio is not shown when I see my page, full profiles don’t load, etc. I do hope MM invests more into this app as it would be a great benefit to paid members and will expand visibility of the platform..Version: 1.1.0
