✓ Subscription serviceTerrible interface from original app. Update: The programmers glitches the first app by removing the ability to use some sliders and making the first app really buggy to course new or existing users to the new app. The new app requires users to utilize a carousel style library that hinders productivity. What’s more unfortunate, there is a subscription service in order to utilize all the features the new app offers. As a work around, utilize a more powerful photo editing app for editing and then import the photo for stylized filter edits within the original app. In my opinion, the company went the wrong direction with the new App..Version: 1.4.2

✓ Another unhappy longtime userAs the comment below I also have been using this app for many years and including have paid for the app as well but I keep on being promoted to subscribe every time I enter the app as well. ✓ Miss the old appI love PTG, and have used it since the original came out years ago. I keep trying to use this version, but when the photos are saved to the camera roll, they become very harsh and unusable. I have open both PTG and the native photos app to compare, and they look nothing alike. I don’t have, and have never had, this problem when using the original PTG..Version: 4.0.3

But....Thank you for letting classic (app) user access some features in this app, but I still wouldn’t get pay $27 a year (subscription) to do what a lot of apps offer at very low price. ✓ No choice on subscriptionsThis app may be useful but you can’t use the cutout feature unless you subscribe. When it goes to the subscription page, there is only a subscription of a free 7 day trial then nearly £5 per week. As I wouldn’t use the app every week, it would be a waste of money. I may be prepared to do one of the annual subscriptions but the ones shown in the App Store are not available via the app itself. False advertising really..Version: 4.01.01
✓ The update is terrible and a rip-offI’ve been using this app for years. It used to be functional without having to pay for a subscription. I was able to save my steps which helped in getting a consistent look to my images and batch processing was super helpful. They’ve updated the app - the old version was not usable any longer- they forced users to download the new version. The new version is not at all user friendly in a sense that the workflow is redundant and too much work. You can only save 3 recipes and you’re not able to use the steps used in the previous edit to apply to the next photo- this was possible in the old app. Batch processing, history and so many more items are paid features now and some are subscription based which means they will continue to charge you for the same thing. Very disappointed..Version: 1.4.2

✓ Needs ImprovementSo you have now made it where a customer has to pay to be able to do extra adjustment to a photo. I purchased for the one week to see because the older version sometimes does not work. However this new version doesn’t work good. I have to reopen the app and get the pictures from there. I have been using this app for at least 4 years and this is a negative for me. You are trying to make more money but there are many bugs that need to be fixed..Version: 4.06.03

✓ New app sucksI used to love this app. They got so greedy now you have to pay a lot for stuff you did before, and they made editing way harder to do. Massive disappointment. ✓ New Version Disappointing (UPDATED REPLY)Updated Review: I’m adding to my rating simply because I can’t remove my low rating, which I don’t think the company deserves. I’m sure the app is great, I just don’t find it as user friendly as the original app. Apparently I didn’t understand how to access the same features, although they are available. So higher rating because you *can* do what you did in the old app, even though it wasn’t intuitive for me when I tried. I’m just not a fan of the new app. I was initially so excited about the new update but am actually let down. I’ve been using the old app for years and years. ✓ Disappointed in SubscriptionI’ve been a long-time user of PTG and while I do like the new UI, the ability to only use the new filters through the subscription option is very disappointing. You should consider offering your users the OPTION to purchase filter packs as a separate bundles OR in a subscription as the app A Color Story does. I would much rather pay $2.99-$4.99 for a filter pack rather than pay a monthly or yearly subscription. Subscriptions are a real turn-off..Version: 1.1

✓ DisappointingSuddenly classic PicTapGo not working anymore. Downloaded new app. Reviews suggest I should be able to use classic functions without a subscription. Nope. Won’t let me do anything. I only use it to make white border on my photos, no interest in filters etc. Not cost effective for my purposes..Version: 4.06.02
✓ Subscription BasedI got so exited to see there was a new app, I have used the old one to edit all my phone photos for the last six years or so. Once downloading it I see that all the new things are subscription based. It makes me so sad and frustrated that any of the extras are only subscription based. In addition only a few of my recipes transferred. So I’ll go back to the old one until it stops working, I suppose. I would like to add I would be more then happy to pay for the app to start with and pay for the additional add ons.
