JBL Pro Connect for Negative User Reviews

Can’t ConnectAs many others have noted, I can’t connect which makes gigging with the PRX One impossible..Version: 1.1

Buggy appI love the PRX ONE but this app is really buggy and needs attention urgently. It won’t connect to both BT units to run the system successfully. Not thrilled and makes the experience less than satisfying..Version: 1.3

Even worse than beforeWow this app is terrible. The knobs jerk around when you try to adjust the levels and it’s very noticeable to hear. Now with the most recent update on the iPhone anytime you switch between apps or your phone falls asleep the app will disconnect from the speaker and it takes time to reconnect when you switch back. Now I’m needing to dedicate a device only to use this app so I can adjust levels live in a timely manner. I wish I had bought the Bose PA instead. It might be worth the extra money if their app functions at all better than this one. This app is really unacceptable..Version: 1.6.0

Can’t find my brand new jbl speaker..Version: 1.1

Just Unboxed, A few ThoughtsHello! Just got the unit today, and it’s amazing how much you can control from the app. Volume, gain, fix, master mix etc. It works! My only complaint is that snapshots are not shareable between devices, so don’t forget to bring your specific device that has your perfectly mixed snapshot. Please fix this so we can share snapshots between devices!.Version: 1.0

Unusable Touch SlidersUseless for live application where you need to make simple volume adjustments as slider sensitivity is awful! Every other app, my finger controls sliders. Why can’t you get this basic function right jbl? Now I need a a Yamaha mixer before your mixer to control volumes. Fail.Version: 1.3

Worst interface ever for best systemThis could be the worst app I’ve ever seen as far as controlling such a good piece of hardware. No metering, controls that are impossible to accurately set, lag updates between app and hardware mean I basically now use an external mixer and use the onboard mixer as a stereo in. So much potential, but this is dreadful..Version: 1.6.0

Apps sliders mostly don’t workThe app sliders mostly don’t work either on volume or EQ. Can’t access EQ presets via the app. Any change to a custom EQ setting requires a save function. Unlike the JBLE on the app or the Electrovoice evolve app or the Mackie SRM flex appThe JBL connect app requires to pairings via Bluetooth for the JBLPRX one. This app basically renders the JBL prxz one unusable in a gig due to the difficulty with trying to move the sliders. I see that I am not the only one having issues with this app. JBL really missed the point with this app. Speaker may even have to be returned because the remote via iPhone really does not work reliably..Version: 1.1

Hmmmmm…..Well, I received a Charge 4 Bluetooth speaker for Christmas. I was thinking being to adjust the sound would be good. This app showed that you could adjust. I downloaded the app and it cannot find the speaker when searching, Bluetooth on and in search mode. The app does not see or connect to the speaker. Not what I expected- it doesn’t work. I should have read the reviews before wasting my time..Version: 1.5.0

Please make this app usableI purchased an Eon One MK 2. All the things are perfect. But This app is very hard to use. It is hardly sensitive to touch. I can't adjust eq and other sliding things properly. They don't move when touching..Version: 1.2

Not workingCan't find the hardware..Version: 1.0

Can’t sync speakersI got two EON 710 speakers and was looking to pair them with the app as it says it does, but I could find no place to do so. The interface isn’t very user friendly. If anyone knows how to do this let me know..Version: 1.2

Will be great when it’s fixed from PRX One userI like the layout and overall design. The controls are intuitive. The main problem is the response to touch is very flakey with long delay to respond. Also very jumpy when trying to drag the sliders and such. It’s barely useable as is. I’ll update this review once I try the next version of the app..Version: 1.2

I got it to work well enough to be of useFirst off, make sure all speakers are updated to the lastest version or it wont work in any capacity. If the app says there's an update for your speaker available, update. Then, disconnect and forget the initial bluetooth connection through your phones settings, turn off your speakers, and wait a few seconds. Reboot the speakers, reconnect BT, and then connect to the app. If you try connecting to the app before connecting bluetooth, things break. After you try that a few times in different orders, it works-ish. It takes way too much time to get working, but it eventually fixes itself. Once that happens, its pretty useful for EQing and transfering EQs from speaker to speaker. Only issue is that sliders are janky and unresponsive, you cant change EQs and channel gains for groups with the same speaker models within them (you can change group master tho), and the app is a little confusing to navigate with no help section or tutorial. After you get a hang of it though, its useful enough to use regularly. Note that my speakers (eon 715s) sort of didn't function quite right at some stages of the process after updating, but they fixed themselves within a few minutes and turning them off between attempts to connect. After you connect them and get the app working once, though everything works smoothly and consistently with connecting. Its a 4/5 app, but the mess of getting it to work, slider issues, and clunky navigation ruin the rating..Version: 1.2

Why no demo option? Can’t demo the app. Useless for a potential customer..Version: 1.0

Bluetooth issue built in mixer/ equi not workingI been trying to connect my cell Phone and then tv. By it won’t pair with either one. Built in equalizer shows no sound effects pretty much does not work at all. Totally disappointed at the technology However when I was able to connect the first , the only, day speakers are amazing and produce exceptional sound for vocal use if you have an external mixer attached to it. Plz work on the software and built in equalizer.Version: 1.0

App completely uselessThe buttons and sliders that control this app are virtually unusable and do not work nearly all the time totally unfit for purpose JBL you need to sort this out immediately.Version: 1.3

Not user friendlyThe sound system is great. The app is horrible. Mashing my finger on the tiny dot to adjust the volume is a pain. It takes several tries to get it to work. My finger also blocks the value for the volume so I have no idea what it is being changed to. The screens are not user friendly. It’s hard to figure out where to go to adjust the things I want to change. This app needs some serious work..Version: 1.3

JBL PRX 1 appI absolutely love the PRX ONE! It is a fantastic unit. Easy to set up, and sounds fantastic. The app however can be frustrating. The slider controls are especially a problem. They are so jerky that making adjustments in a live show can be a problem. I think that if the control app were to improve, I couldn’t imagine a better sounding, easy to use PA. I’m hoping that JBL will correct those issues and then I will be highly satisfied!.Version: 1.5.0

Want to love itI really want to give this a 5 star review and rave about it to my friends in the biz however in its current state I absolutely cannot. It needs the bugs worked out. I’ve spent quite a few hours in the app and have determined that the only thing that really works is the graphic eq. some of the more basic functions just plain do not work. Namely, the gain and volume mixers do absolutely nothing. JBL can you please fix? FEATURE REQUEST: I purchased multiple JBL PRX Ones for my Mobile DJ biz. My DJ’s want to be able to hook 2 units up together via bluetooth. They also want to be able to connect them in stereo not mono. Currently they can not do either of these things. The only way they can hook multiple up is using xlr cables in mono. PLEASE INVEST IN TAKING THE APP TO COMPLETION. I WANT TO BE A RAVING FAN.Version: 1.2

Stinks doesn't work with PRX oneDoesn't work with PRX one.Version: 1.4.1

Doesn’t find my JBL party 100Spent 30mins trying to connect to my speaker no luck!!!.Version: 1.2

Does not work at all.Just bought the JBL eon one MK2 and this app does not work at all with it. Updated the firmware and now the battery indicator on the app shows the battery low but shows fully charged on the screen on the speaker. This makes this a big and expensive Bluetooth speaker now..Version: 1.2

No signal levelThis is a very basic app for controller a pretty good system in the Eon Mk 2. It’s nice to have a channel strip view but the fader touch interface is imprecise. It’s hard to move the gain just a notch accurately. Also where is the signal level for each channel. I can’t see any signal level at all in the app..Version: 1.6.0

Connectivity IssuesUnable to connect my JBL Flip 4 at all, tried everything to reconnecting it to my phone, reading instructions, and making sure that the connect plus button was on.Version: 1.2

GarbageThis app really needs to be upgraded. Terrible and unbelievably buggy. I would expect a company like JBL to not create something like this. The sliders don’t work. The reset buttons don’t work. Half of the buttons don’t consistently work. This creates a ton of stress and risk into using their products, calling them “professional”..Version: 1.4.0

“Updated firmware”I updated the firmware of my PRX one and now it takes at least two or three times longer to connect. And not to mention, every time I lock my phone or even open the control center it disconnects the speaker so I have to wait 20-30 seconds to reconnect. I use this for live performance so it is extremely frustrating that I cannot rely on this app. The touch controls are very hard to control accurately with your fingers causing me to overshot the gain and cause feedback. There needs to be buttons or a way to type in the db you want to set sliders to. You can do better JBL..Version: 1.6.0

JBL should not have put their name on this app it does not workApp does not connect to your 1700$+ PA system. Issues have not been resolved and no one seems to want to help. I am 100% done with JBL..Version: 1.4.0

This app is terrible. Plain and simple.I boot, reboot, reopen, and try to find my speakers and nothing ever works, the app cant find them and its the only way i can apparently use both without a mixing board. Sorry jbl. I normally love your products but this app is horrendous.Version: 1.2

Horrible volume controlThe volume sliders are terrible. They are hard to grab and when you do they jump way up or way down. Makes it very hard to mix. This seems very basic to fix..Version: 1.3

JBL connect pro app7 months now last update for the mkII you’ve since added updates for newer models .. there are many unhappy users out there. Make it happen .. can we ask the CEO ??.Version: 1.3

Unable to Connect new EON 718s SubwooferI was unable to connect my new EON 718s Subwoofer at all. Without this app and its Bluetooth connectivity to related devices, the main features of this line is missing. When I called Harmon/JBL tech support they could not determine my issue because they didn’t have the same equipment on hand to troubleshoot alongside me. After 45 minutes with no changes they told me I needed to send my product back to my authorized dealer for a replacement. A few days later they called me back to inform me that nothing is wrong with my sub, it’s just that their app does not yet support their newest “professional” subwoofer. I gave a one-star rating because this app is completely unusable for my use case, although I know that not everyone buys a subwoofer without the entire family of speakers to go with it. The app itself looks cool, I wish I could use it..Version: 1.2

Needs workConcept And function are solid but response is rough. You have to repeatedly try to find the zone that works for the control. For all the convenience the all offers, it’s frustrating to have to deal with the software. This problem exists on ipad too..Version: 1.2

Some flaws, ok. Selecting controls is difficult.Does not show actual installed few version as well as the latest firmware version from the cloud, so guesswork / trust is needed. UI is fine but not intuitive at first, lots of discovering needed, no help text. Looks like subsynth feature not available yet?.Version: 1.2
