Wanting more moneyI purchased this app on a free trial to see how well it did with diagnosing my sick plant – it wanted an additional subscription for the diagnosis – I decided to cancel my Free subscription, but I have no idea how to do this. You can’t do it in the app – not sure what to do, obviously don’t want to pay for something I don’t need or want now.Version: 4.8.1

Misleading advertisementWhat you see in the add is not what you get. you'll have buy premium then you will need to upload pictures and most often the app will tell you that your plant is fine (although it is not) or be sent to Wikipedia. Also be careful they will slip the premium membership purchase in the set up process so read carefully before you hit agree. This app have great potential if the developers were honest.Version: 4.2.0

Do not download this app!!!I would give this zero if I could. I downloaded this app on Tuesday to see what it is like. This immediately subscribes you. When I realised what it was like I immediately tried to cancel subscription. I have had an ‘initiated’ status for days and have now received an invoice for the first month despite clearly trying to cancel immediately. Do not download this app!!!.Version: 1.15.2

Rip off.Add says free to download but runs a card check straight away and then doesn’t let me cancel my subscription. Tells me to go to App Store to cancel but there is no way of cancelling on the Apple App Store so looks like I’m going to be charged for something I don’t want. So much stress caused by thinking I’m going to go overdrawn on my back account just for trying to see if I want to use an app. Don’t download this all and fall for their lies about trying it for free for 3 days. You will get stung like I have..Version: 3.2.1

Not very accurateHonestly not very accurate in NZ. Perhaps in the USA it works lol.Version: 3.5.0

WarningThey say it’s free until you get to the set up account and hidden it in the conditions they expect you to simple flick past is the acknowledgment it’s not free there is a subscription free. Quote “in the acknowledge screen” I was looking for a fee and I didn’t see it. So how much is the subscription fee and should that be highlighted before I download. Anything product that doesn’t disclose the fee up front is not worth the price. If they believe it’s a good product at a fair price they would disclose this right up front - proudly..Version: 3.8.2

Not like the advertisementThe ad on Facebook made it seem like a simple photo of the plant would result in direct advice regarding what that specific plant needs to be healthy again. It doesn’t. I took a photo and the app did correctly identify the plant by its scientific name (its common name wasn’t the same as the plant label in the pot). I then had to add it to a “space” in the app and answer some questions. The result was general advice about caring for this type of plant but no information about how to fix my not-so-healthy pot plant. I couldn’t work out how to make the app give me specific advice. I canceled the free trial..Version: 4.17.0

Was great but recently the scheduling of care isn’t matching upI have about 16 plants on here and it was going amazingly. I use it for care scheduling because forget when I have watered plants. Recently on the “my plants” page it would tell me care is due in a certain amount of days eg. Water due in 2 days, when I open the care plan for that plant it will say water in 3 days. This is the case for all of my plants. It seems like these clocks aren’t synchronised and it’s really frustrating! Please fix!.Version: 2.0.2

Not reliableNot accurate or consistent when identifying plants.Version: 4.17.0

$9.99 a week auto renew 🤮Get real this company should be taken right off apple And apple should be ashamed to even support this discusting service..Version: 4.26.3

Lacks some obvious features. App Useless for meIt only calculates the amount of water based on the diameter of the jar. It does not take into account temperature or the season or the kind of plant etc. It does not suggest any frequency of watering which I find disappointing (and which should be easy to implement )!.Version: 4.8.1

Not a good app and look carefully at subscription detailsIt didn’t identify the plant correctly for me and couldn’t find the plant anywhere else on the app. Was trying to tell me that my pot plant was a tree? Also try looking at the subscription details in your account settings. It seems they don’t offer/put you on a good deal unless you select it manually. You can select the same package for the same time span for half the price?! That seems like a bit of unfair practice for me..Version: 2.0.4

UntrueYou say one week free and then you pay. But then I look into the info it says free for three days and then you pay not a good start to wanting someone to use your app..Version: 4.24.1

DO NOT USE SCAMI signed up on a free subscription to give this a go as have seen is advertised and thought it would be useful. Within the first hour I found that the plant identifier was inaccurate and issues identified with my plants were vague. I tried cancelling through the app the same day and as had answered a few questions following the cancelation, including “are you sure you want to cancel”, as well as offers for other deals for the app, I thought this cancellation had gone through. I resisted a few weeks later that I was being charged, tried cancelling again through the app, which I no longer seemed to be able to do, cancelled instead though my Apple subscriptions and emailed the app direct to request a refund. I found the process to be extremely frustrating as even though they have said I was charged by mistake, they will not refund me. They continue to ask me if I am sure I want to cancel and basically say it’s my own fault. This is horrible customer service and I am left extremely frustrated and disappointed that I have not even been heard. Do not bother..Version: 4.4.0

Stole my moneyCharged me when I signed up for a free subscription. Doesn’t work to identify plant at all ..Version: 4.19.2

It triesThe app tries its absolute hardest to identify what it sees, but 9/10 times gets it incorrectly. I took a shot from every angle of a succulent, and never once did it guess any type of succulent. It seems though if it really did manage too identify the plant, it would do a terrific job on keeping it healthy. If this is a problem on my end, someone let me know..Version: 4.2.0

Was Charged £7.99 for 3 Day Free TrialI signed up for the three day free trial to see how the app would work for me. Unfortunately immediately I received a notification from Apple to advise me I had been charged £7.99 for a subscription to this app. I cancelled the subscription immediately and contacted Customer Service. I was advised that my email address was not recognised, despite the fact I had received a email confirming my “sign up”. I asked for the amount to be refunded and was refused based on it being non-refundable! I was then told if I hadn’t imputed my card details I wouldn’t have been charged! I was charged through Apple and not after submitting card details. Do not sign up for a free trial if you do not want to be charged it is not free!.Version: 3.8.2

Plant IDIt is great for identifying plants but not to figure out what can be the problem if there are marks on the leaves etc. If you wanna use it for identifying your plants when healthy and setting up a reminder as per the recommended care it’s great but otherwise it’s not giving solutions, neither identifying issues with your plant. It’s great that there is a free trial to figure out it the app delivers according to your expectations or not..Version: 1.8.0

Watch out for ridiculous pricing!I downloaded this app today to check it out. I scanned one of my plants that has several yellow leaves. It came back with the correct plant however I tried diagnosing it several times with the yellow leaves and all it tells me is that it is healthy. I’m not sure that’s true. It also said it was poisonous but there was not more information as to who it’s poisonous to. What I liked the least and what I warn about is the pricing. When you first add the app there are three price choices which are exorbitant! Seven dollars a week is the cheapest? Then when I went to delete the app it gave a lot more choices like two dollars a month. Just seems really scammy not to give you all the options upfront. Won’t be downloading or using again. With the yellow leaves I would have expected it to come up with watering issues or like their ad running makes it look like there are solutions right away. Not really the case for me..Version: 3.8.5

Subscription price difference?!?Three different prices for the same subscription Ranging from 49.99 to 279.99??? Won’t let me upload pics to show.Version: 4.4.0

Stealing moneyBe careful when you sign up for the “free trial”. I signed up and 15 minutes later cancelled my subscription within the app. 3 days later I was charged for the subscription. I have contacted them but they don’t respond. They straight up stole money! Make sure if you do use the free trial and are cancelling you do it thru the App Store..Version: 4.13.0

It would be 5 stars if it worked like the ad showsI do love this app.. but I paid for the premium version and almost immediately got it refunded because it didn’t work how the ad showed. In the ad it showed you could scan the plant and it would tell you if it needs more water or not. After getting the app and looking through it I thought maybe I needed the premium for it to do that. I got the premium and was sad to find that the premium only added the ability to scan the plant to identify any diseases or sickness it may have. But there was no way to scan to see if it’s over watered or under watered like the as showed. I still use the app cause it does help me keep track of when I should water each plant and scan to find what type of plant it is and learn a bit more about it. I am just very disappointed because I was excited and mainly downloaded the app for the ability to scan to see if I’m over watering or under watering my succulents. I hope the app will soon be updated to have this ability like how the ad shows. If that change is made I’ll bring it up to 4 stars! If you don’t have to pay for it since it doesn’t mention that part in the ad then I’ll give 5 stars!.Version: 3.2.3

Sometimes works sometimes doesn’tUnfortunately the app was only successful in identifying 3 out of 10 or so of my plants correctly. Its super cool, but its been wrong too many times. It did help me identify a plant that i planted by accident and had no idea what it was. But the plants i am absolutely certain about like my grapes, my lavender, beets and many more they said a completely different plant that i have never planted. My seedlings are about 4 inches tall so i dont know if the plants have to be fully grown to get a proper reading. Although it did get a few of my seedlings correct. I also have a pea seedling that is sick and it diagnosed exactly what i had thought, which is very cool but it failed to identify other seedlings that have damaged leaves. I think its a really cool app, but i wont be purchasing it because it only works sometimes. Super cool idea and if it was correct 8 out of 10 times it would still be worth it but it isn’t even 50 percent reliable..Version: 4.26.2

Good for just staring offNow don’t hate on me yet for the poor review, I have high expectations for this app to become more advanced and accurate with the technological aid of these days, it’s highly helpful however, it can be wrong, and throw up many variations of options when scanning the same plant and that can be discouraging, but also as cameras advance in clarity of image and depth resolution and the algorithm can read more data, this app will definitely be a must for any flora enthusiast from first time green thumbs, to even helping and aiding with the most knowledgeable and skilled growers who really put the science into all the plants they cultivate. And I’m just gonna let you know now, I’m canceling my free trial, for the time being, because from my experiences with this app, I was trying to identify the type of trees the previous owners of this property had mass planted, and trying to find the purpose to them, I had it range from an almond tree to several different kinds of willow, but none of the pictures seemed to line up with the tree the several different times we tried to identify it, so I don’t find the app worth my money at the time if it is continually wrong. Please do keep in mind, I have high expectations from you guys, you’re going to achieve a lot, so don’t give up, I have faith!.Version: 4.11.1

Do not sign up! EU customers beware! The app needs to review its terms and ease of managing subscriptions. I have been charged so fa with the life subscription plus two weekly subscriptions! And ticking… I have tried to get a human response from their support team and Apple Store but am not getting very far. Their terms and conditions are very questionable and do not reflect EU customer rights (still waiting a response from EU ombudsman so will see). I hope one day I will laugh sarcastically about the experience but so far not amused nor very impressed with the app at all, not to mention customer support..Version: 3.8.5

4 out of 5 house plants identified incorrectly and wrong diagnosis all the timeMost of the house plants identified incorrectly and although seemingly all plants have different issues, for all diagnostics it gives me Anthracnose, which you can not do anything about. I have tried “Ask the Botanist” function and realised it is 17 pounds extra for each plant. Absolutely not worth the money spent..Version: 3.6.3

Charging after cancelling trial subscriptionI cancelled the trial subscription on same day as i took the trial. My plants were not being recognised and get the same message everytime. But i am getting charged ridiculously continuosly every week. I tried contacting using the feedback and i have never got any response. Ridiculous app and worst customer care. 0 star..Version: 4.2.1

Useless for Southern HemispherePaid $70 for a lifetime subscription - but it won’t let me adjust the season to the correct Southern Hemisphere season. This means the watering schedule is COMPLETELY off - telling me to water every few days in the middle of winter! Sent in feedback and received “you can manually adjust the watering schedule”. Then what is the point of the app if I have to set the schedule myself?? If I knew about plant care I wouldn’t have got the app! I don’t even use the app anymore because it was killing my plants. Do NOT get this app!!.Version: 3.2.3

Not worth itI downloaded the app and did a free trial. The app couldn’t properly identify my plant. Which I think is a must. Care tips they provide are worse than free ones on the internet.Version: 2.0.4

The need to pay for this is nonsense. Why should we be paying to have ai basically be google.Version: 4.25.2

Worst app and customer serviceI’m no pro gardener but certainly not a novice either. I downloaded the app because my pothos took a turn for the worse and I couldn’t figure out it’s problem with online research. I took several clear photos of a few of my plants and the app was incorrectly identifying them. It also told me brown crunchy leaves were healthy so I opted to cancel my trial right away. Now, 7 weeks later I realize they’ve been charging me on PayPal each week. I contact customer service and they say I don’t have an account with the email provided. I share screenshots showing my ID in the app as well as PayPal receipts. They were emphatic they see detailed receipts. I shared those from my Apple account after figuring out how to pull them. I tell the rep multiple times that the app won’t allow me to click on the subscription to modify it - it just says active. However , the app will allow me to upgrade to lifetime if I want - how convenient. Ultimately I’m told NO REFUNdS and I consented when I started my trial - even though I canceled the trial and immediately got rid of the trash app. No assistance to help me cancel the subscription nor any refund for the money stolen from me. I ultimately had to go to Apple directly to get this thing canceled and filed a compliant. Terrible app and terrible customer service..Version: 4.8.1

Don’t waste your time and moneyRubbish app. You have to pay to get any help and when you pay all you get is a generic page of what could go wrong with any plant. Happy to pay if I know the app works. I don’t see a point why you have to take 3 photos for getting generic information for any diagnostic request you make. Can’t access botanist while you are in trail either..Version: 3.7.2

SCAM ARTISTS! FRAUD! Took $350 from my account!I downloaded this app and deleted it instantly as it wasn’t what I required. A week later I saw $350 had been taken from my account by this app. I have tried to contact them, they were willing to help and respond until I advised what has happened, now they read messages and no response. I have tried to contact 15 times now with no responses from them just ‘read’ messages. Do not download this app, the developers are scammers who take your money!!.Version: 1.14.1

Fake AdsThis app advertises that it can tell you what is wrong with your plant by taking a photo however that is not the case. You take very detailed photos of the issue and the app only gives you back suggestions and you have to press on what seems closer to what you have. Most of the time the options it gives you aren’t even close to what you took. Terrible programming on their end. Then of course it’s a paid subscription for you to get that feature, but it doesn’t work. So next step is to contact one of their experts. WAIT that’s another subscription to be able to talk to someone so they can tell you what’s wrong with your plant. You know what does similar work to this app and it’s free? Google. Just search what could be wrong with my plant and do the work. Since this app makes you do the work anyways. Terrible app, all these 5 stars must be purchased or something cause no way people actually found this app helpful..Version: 3.8.1

MisleadingThe description leads on to believe that by buys the Lifetime “Premium “ plant care that access that all the described feature included as described in the body of all the features offered. Read so many reviews and some of them were really good. But there we also copious reviews about being scammed by this developer in that the features expected we available to them post purchase. That lead me to the decision to just purchase the Lifetime “Premium” plan to avoid such an issue. All the other prices reflected “Premium” dealing with certain areas of services provided. Therefore one would conclude that the purchase of the most expensive would off everything described. WRONG I’m not sure what is actually in clouded in this Lifetime “Premium” option because every time I attempt to use it as intended I’m asked to pay more money for each feature. Apple should insist the developers outline exactly what people are paying for where the actual in app purchases area! I see now why the bad review.Version: 4.12.0

DisappointedI paid the $69.99 cauze I have over 100 house plants. It couldn’t identify even some of common ones, I even had one that was covered in mealy bugs and it said plant is healthy thrive on little buddy!! Then I sent that pic to the “experts” a week ago and never heard nothing back. Then it was saying I needed to spend another $29.99 on another add on.. pfft.. got a refund through Apple. The idea is nice if it worked.. like on the adds, where it tells you the plant needs milk or magnesium or coffee when it’s got certain problems……but for charging that much the app should do more then remind me when to water..Version: 4.24.1

Subscription wouldn’t cancel and kept charging me $8 a weekI’ve never given a bad review of any app ever. I’m so mad! I had been really excited about this app, but immediately found it didn’t fulfill what it had described to be able to do. So I immediately canceled. When you cancel a subscription during the trial period, it should NOT keep charging you!!! I canceled my subscription in the trial week (the SAME DAY I first used it) after finding this app did not fulfill its claims. They have still been fraudulently charging me $8 a WEEK for an app that was of NO USE to me and therefore had canceled right after signing up. Ive written them to ask them to look into this and to please refer to their records more carefully and refund these unauthorized charges going all the way back to May. I again tried to cancel again, but have no guarantee they won’t keep charging me. I found out I’m not the only one this happened to. I feel cheated and tricked. I’m considering a lawsuit if this is ignored if even for the principle of the matter..Version: 3.2.3

Bad advertisingNot at all what the Instagram ad made it seem.Version: 4.14.0

Not rightTrying to find plant I have, but correct info not coming up.Version: 4.1.2

Subscription fee is not clear and it’s hard to cancelI had a hard time finding where to cancel my subscription after I realized that they did not cancel the subscription the first time i cancelled. 50$ later I had to cancel it through apple.Version: 4.17.0

Be carefulDon't subscribe to this app, you will definitely regret it, because it is a scam. They have three-day trial period, I found that the content was inaccurate, so I canceled the subscription after one day of use, but they will still deduct money, be careful!.Version: 4.24.0

Run to another App,pure scamsI have had nothing but problems with this app. Nothing works and their customer service is above all the worst ever. I tried to cancel and get out of it and these guys promise you everything and deliver you nothing. Before you know it they’re soaking your account left and right. Caution beware beware beware once they get their hooks into you. It’s very hard to get out of it. Pure scam going on here. They say they have a seven day free trial but once you click on that they already soaked your account. There’s plenty other apps out there that probably offer a good service. All these people want is your money ITS NOT THE MONEY ITS THE SCAM THAT GETS ME THEY SAY 7day free trail then they told me it was a three day when I pointed out I requested they cancel my 7day on day 2 they told me they didn’t have a free trail ! Scam Xxxxxxx So as to their response. I had to go to the App Store and talk with a Apple to get my refund on my three day period so the response to my review is nothing more than a lip service for anyone else who may read it. I stand by my review get away from these guys. They’re ap is crap and all they want is your weekly payment.Version: 4.11.1

Avoid at all costs!I’ve been forced to raise a dispute with my bank for the lifetime purchase transaction as PlantIn have refused my request for a refund minutes after purchasing. PlantIn advertise the lifetime purchase in a way that misleads the consumer into believing no additional payments will be required, but in the app itself there are several features inaccessible unless you pay more money. The features you have access to are basic at best..Version: 4.8.1

Don’t installI installed and quickly realised too expensive what it is. Cancelled subscription to save being charged after the three free day period. Was charged anyway. Not impressed..Version: 3.6.2

Great in theory, meh in practice.Hi! I enjoy this app but there are some issues. For one I’m not paying for a subscription or trying out the free trial & it won’t let me get a care plan for any plant! Also I don’t like how if I scan a sick plant I need to PAY to figure out what’s wrong and how to fix it. One great thing about PlantIn tho is the feed page where you can post about your plants and get help caring for them. Although there is an issue with that too. So many people post non-plant related content. I understand that it’s okay once in a while but my page is flooded with non-plant related posts. Maybe there should be a way to report a non-plant related post and it will give whoever posted it a reminder/warning that this is a plant app and you should be posting about PLANTS. Not your favorite show on Netflix or your dog, PLANTS. So in conclusion this app is great in theory, meh in practice. -DaughterOfDemeter.Version: 4.8.1

Very disappointedChris Champion Sep 15, 2021, 7:43 GMT+3 Very disappointed – it is essentially just a watering guide, once you identify the plants. I have tried a few times to identify diseases or other issues and it hasn’t correctly identified any of the problems at all. It is an extra cost to get botanical advice for something that the app should be providing. For a “premium” subscription (usually means all included), there are extra costs to get a “season pass” without even knowing what that might bring! This should be included in the “premium” subscription. The app doesn’t let you you know up front that you have to pay extra for what should be basic included value. Very disappointed and not recommended..Version: 3.2.2

Premium subscriberI purchased the premium subscription with this app because it was a good deal.. or so I thought. Honestly, if I could go back and change my mind, I would. This app is good about telling me when to water my plants, keeping up with notes, pictures and history on the plant. Other than that it could use some work. There are no extras and everything you have to pay for. I am still not really sure what the “premium” subscription got me. Their diagnose your plant option needs ALOT of work. Not once had it ever successfully diagnosed an issue. I bought a new plant about a month and a half ago but it’s not available in their database. Ok, that’s fine. They have an option to request it be added and they’ll do they within a couple of days. Awesome, right? Wrong. I’m still waiting for that to happen. All in all for me being a premium subscriber I definitely don’t think it’s worth it. I’m sure there are other apps out there that offer more bang for your buck. Look into those before spending money on this one..Version: 4.1.1

LallyI cancel my subscription before my 3 days free trial finished, but it still took my money for monthly subscription. when you go into manage your subscription, it only gives you option to go yearly premium but no option to cancel or delete my current subscription. It’s a very dodgy App, takes your money without permission. I end up deleting my account, let’s see if they still take my money. BEWARE BEWARE- SCAM SCAM SCAM..Version: 4.1.3

Beware—Dishonest representation of subscriptionsI purchased a year premium membership because this app was inaccurately identifying a plant of mine and I needed further help. I inherited a 40 year old plant from a family member, so the pressure is on not to kill it lol. I went through the process and wrote a very detailed description to submit to the ask the botanist feature, only for the app to inform me that I hadn’t paid. I contacted customer service, figuring it was a glitch of some sort. They informed me that a premium membership did not cover all features on the app. This is extremely unclear and quite obviously meant to gouge customers. I explained my situation to customer service, politely requesting a refund—$20 for an app is definitely NOT in my budget if it isn’t going to do what it promises. They returned and offered me a lifetime membership IF I paid an ADDITIONAL $20. After several days of interacting with multiple agents, they refused to refund me. This app could be so great if it wasn’t sneakily stealing money from unsuspecting plant lovers. Such a shame..Version: 4.4.0

Useful for keeping plants healthy but needs improvementThis app is very good for keeping the watering and fertilizer applications on schedule. The care plan capability sends you notifications for when each of plants need to be cared for. Also great for keeping record of plant growth and collection. But plant identification and disease identification needs a lot of improvement..Version: 2.0.4

ScamSays free trial, but when I tried to use I had to sign up first, then they give free trial which you can cancel afterwards. No thanks, I won’t pay to try someone’s app they created to see if it’s any good. Between google to identify anything and doing your own research online is easy! Or buy a proper book on the subject..Version: 4.10.0

Scammy, shady and terrible - not accurate at all eitherPlease read : DO NOT GET THIS APP!!! I don’t usually write reviews but this app was so shady and terrible I just had to warn others. I tried the app out for the 3 day free trial after seeing one of their ads. The app got almost every single plant and grass identification wrong, even the super easy ones. I’ve had other apps do a much better job. So in regards to this I decided that I’m definitely not going to be purchasing the full app. Then I go to see the pricing so that I can cancel and I’m quite amazed that such a terribly in accurate and terrible app was charging so much money. $6.99 per week LOL. So I canceled this immediately on my second day of having the app. I thought the app subscription was canceled as it said no longer a premium user. The super shady part: the area under subscription, to show cancel, or other options disappeared. I no longer had access to show my subscription. I thought ok this is sketchy but surely it’s canceled as that is what I clicked on. Nope 1 day later I’m charged $6.99, low and behold I’m charged a 4th time today for $6.99 after trying several times to cancel this incredibly terrible and shady app. How it has so many 5 start reviews is beyond me and surely that is a scam also. I will be contacting apple today to get this straightened out. DO NOT GET THIS APP!!!!.Version: 4.0.0

Complete scam!Do not download this app. It’s an absolute scam that will keep charging you costs you never agreed to. And their customer service is useless. Just read their responses to reviews here and witness how wishy washy they are in the way they address concerns from customers. But above all, the app does not do any of the things it promises to do. You’ll find more useful information with a single google search. I repeat, do NOT download this app..Version: 4.26.2

Save your money. Google lens is more efficientI tried to identify several of my plants with this app, only to get the response “try a different angle” or “move closer.” Tried multiple angles and basically crawled inside the plant to take the picture - still couldn’t get proper identification of my plants. I don’t have crazy exotic plants that would be exceptionally difficult to identify, yet this app failed at every attempt to identify a plant by taking a photo. I attempted to send feedback through the app twice. That was ignored. I saw the support email address on one of the reviews here so I forwarded my initial emails to that address. What I received was a canned response from someone who obviously did not read my emails because their answer to my predicament was to use the “take photo” feature. IF my emails had been read, they would have seen that’s how I was attempting to identify the plants in the first place. I had a family situation to deal with so checking emails from a worthless app was not top priority. I received an email from Plantin 4 days after they finally responded to my emails that “since they hadn’t heard from me in awhile, the ticket was going to be closed.” Conclusion: customer service is just as unhelpful as the app. ***If you simply use Google lens, take a photo of your plant and in the text line, write “care and watering” or something similar, you will get much better information than this app provides.***.Version: 3.8.2

Fraudulent BillingThe app is fine. I enjoyed it and purchased a lifetime premium membership. I’m now being charged a monthly fee in addition to this. This is fraud and I have reported it to Apple..Version: 4.20.1

Charged me twice and refusing refundI attempted to purchase a yearly subscription and kept getting an error message that my purchase was unsuccessful. I purchased the lifetime subscription and this went through fine. Unbeknownst to me until months later, the charge for the yearly subscription came out three days later. PlantIn referred me to apple for refund who advised they can’t as it was outside of 60 days and PlantIn continue to tell me they are unable to refund me. They continue to give me the run around and keep trying to explain the difference between the subscriptions to me like I’m an idiot and purposely bought both when they fraudulently took my money. DO NOT BUY THIS APP!!!!.Version: 3.7.2

Waste of MoneyI don’t normally write reviews for apps but felt I needed to in this case because I feel like this app is one big con. You only have 3 days of the free trial to make a decision if you want to sign up for the paid version and you can’t really evaluate the app in those 3 day. I stupidly paid for the lifetime subscription at $49 and regret it. For $49, you essentially get an app that remind you to water your plants that is it. One of my plants started to wilt and I tried to use the “Ask the Botanist” option but was going to be charged $19 for that one question, really? What does a paid subscription get you? Apparently nothing! There are so many paid ad-ons even with the paid subscription, which to me, feels like a big scam. I’d love to get my money back but the app doesn’t even offer any kind of customer service. Don’t waste your money on this app. There are much better free and paid plant apps out there..Version: 3.6.3

I could have poisoned my pets if I trusted this app!I’ve never even bothered to leave an app review before but this is important. I used this app only once to identify a beautiful plant I brought inside that someone else had discarded. It repeatedly told me the plant was a yucca Spanish dagger but to verify that I googled “yucca Spanish dagger” and it looked nothing like that. So I asked facebook friends who right away told me that it was an Easter lily (without the blooms). It was indeed an Easter lily. Such a common plant yet it couldn’t properly identify it. But the worst part by far is that Easter lilies are highly toxic to cats and dogs and my two cats both like to nibble on my houseplants. I immediately got the plant out of my apartment once I found out but if I had trusted the Plantin app and not asked facebook there’s no telling whether my cats would even still be alive now! So I want to warn others to be very careful when using the app to identify mystery plants that you don’t know about..Version: 4.20.1

Don’t do it…I signed up for the “free trial” and decided it wasn’t for me so I cancelled it the same day. The next day I had £7.99 leave my account even tho I cancelled it, so I contacted them and they told me how to cancel (I had already done this) so I reported the problem and iTunes issued the refund (still waiting) but I asked Plantin to confirm it’s cancelled and very rudely told me how to cancel it. Terrible app, terrible customer care. Stay clear.Version: 3.8.4

Totally uselessPaid for premium but it refuses to recognise any plants. I have an iPhone 12 so it’s not because of a shabby phone.Version: 3.2.3

Not what it promises to be and watch out for auto renew.I put up with this for 1 year to see out the subscription. Warning subscriptions automatically renew via the website and not via apple subscriptions. I wrote requesting a refund of the auto renew after 1 year. I’ve received a response - all purchases are non-refundable and non- exchangeable. So they’ve received two years of subscription for a rubbish app. Avoid!.Version: 3.6.3

Misleading ADVBe careful! If you saw their catchy advertising on instagram where it seems they’ll give you direct and precise advice…well, reality is much different! I paid for the lifetime membership only to find out later there are no precise suggestions whatsoever… just a bunch of “your plant may be underwatered or overwatered”… really?? How is that supposed to help me? Got in touch with them on Instagram and explained my disappointment, they answered with a “thank you for your feedback…”… They didn’t even apologize…let alone giving my money back. They lure you with promising adv campaign…and then they offer absolutely nothing..Version: 4.15.0

Useless/waste of moneyI love the idea of this app, and I purchased the $53 lifetime perscription because I thought it would be worth it to be able to “ask a botanist” questions about my trickier plants. Not only did the scan photo only correctly identify plants like every 2 out of 5 times, if you do want to ask a “botanist a question “ it cost $20. If you want to change a background color on your Home Screen its $3! Also if you upload a photo of the damaged plant you are supposed to receive diagnostic feedback from the photo…well the app just kept telling me it was the same problem every time despite the fact that there were different plant and different problems in each picture. There’s no option for cancel subscription so I called my bank because this app was a waste of $53 and then apple froze my account bc of there being an ongoing dispute! This app was such a waste of time/money!.Version: 3.9.1

So it’s a cool idea?I really like the idea of an AI based plant care/identifier app. However it is not for those with “weird” plants. I own a bunch of exotic plants that your average person probably does not. I have a dwarf cavendish tree (the app said it was a Lilly) they do look similar I’ll give it that. The I tried scanning my variegated monstera plant. The app said it was an apothos. Ok also can understand that with the white mutation on the monstera. So then I tried scanning my different pitcher plants both american and Asian species. It doesn’t recognize there is different types of pitcher plants and just categorizes them as the same. I tried scanning my lime tree and came up as a lemon tree. That is almost accurate they both look very similar and are both citrus. The only plant I own that it was able to successfully identify was my aloe plant…. And I’m pretty sure most 5 year olds can identify that. Overall not very impressed but it could be cool in the future?.Version: 4.12.0

Rubbish free subscriptionThe free features in this app are slowly but surely becoming worse and worse. I’ve tried the premium version and have been wrongly charge for a weeks use even though I had subscribed for the free 3 day trial. For £4.99 a week I think you really aren’t getting your money’s worth either…. Disappointing.Version: 4.7.1

Rip offAvoid avoid avoid!! Avoid this app as it only gives 3days free then it charges you £7.99 every 3 days even after cancelling the subscription. There are no contact details for refunds either. I’ve had to delete it in the hope that it will stop charging me. If it keeps charging me I’m going to I have to cancel my card… as Apple is if no help either. Only give one star as I can’t give none!.Version: 2.1.0

Misleading advertisingAdvertisement looks much better than the reality. I paid for the lifetime membership and I do not benefit of what the advertisement shows. I purchased the subscription because I wanted precise care for my plants which is not given. When I want to diagnose a plant, it tells me that my plant it may be under-watered or overwatered. How can I help my plant then? I trusted would give me clear instructions to help my plant as it shows in the advertising but that is not the case. I am really disappointed and I cannot find a benefit in what I paid for. Please, do not waste your money in purchasing this subscription! I wish I would have read all the reviews before purchasing! But I trusted Apple! 😭.Version: 4.25.1

Not great and expensive, not worth it!!It’s 9,99$/week!! And doesn’t work great. They want to push the lifetime subscription, but really 9,99$/ week is obscene, better stick to Google… and the trial period being just 3 days doesn’t give much time to cancel it..Version: 4.13.0

Love the idea. Needs a lot of workI wanted this app to work but it couldn’t identify the basil plan I bought in the grocery store. It also doesn’t seem to account for gardens, everything is in a pot? Keep working at it! Will be a game changer when it’s fully cooked!.Version: 4.9.1

Absolutely illegalI asked the refund because the app didn’t work, this included the screenshot of the dead plants being healthy and the screenshot of all my feedback request that didn’t load. After sending these info they reply that they don’t see any reason why they should refund the money I do believe this app is a scam I couldn’t use it ONCE for something useful Do not buy it, go for all the other apps that actually work (which is all the rest ).Version: 4.2.0

WhyOk it identifies completely wrong it is NEVER accurate . Do not download you have to pay for it and also it sucks.Version: 4.12.0

Don’t Do It!I decided after the initial trial period to cancel my subscription before being charged. The app freezes up when attempting to do so personally, so I sent an email to the support address stating I wanted to cancel immediately. I received email after email with offers of a cheaper plan, questions about why I was choosing to cancel, etc…& no indication of my subscription being cancelled. After several emails, I was told they couldn’t help me cancel it…it had to be done on the app which leads me right back to where I started! If I could cancel the silly thing myself, I would! Bottom line…their customer support group likes to play silly games that leads you in circles when trying to cancel. It should be cut & dry without harassing emails trying to get you to spend money on their app. When I specifically send an email to the support staff asking to cancel my subscription, that’s exactly what should occur & yet, I am STILL trying to get it canceled several days later. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP OR PROVIDE YOUR CC INFORMATION INTO THE APP UNLESS YOU PLAN ON BEING HELD HOSTAGE..Version: 4.4.0

Very hard to cancel subscriptionI’ve just spent an hour trying to cancel this subscription - you can’t do in through the app, you have to go to the website but there’s currently an error message when you try. (I tried in 2 different browsers) The app itself was ok for me it gave very generic care advice. I ended up having to cancel all my apple payments as there was no other way of cancelling..Version: 4.9.1

Half-decent basic featuresIdentifies healthy plants accurately, but struggles with not-so-healthy plants. Had two that are quite sickly looking and the app identified them as something completely unrelated! Couldn’t seem to find a feature where you could report the identification as incorrect but that would be helpful. Was able to scan multiple plants, just had to close out of the subscription window after every time. Didn’t look into the care plans as the app is good, but I probably wouldn’t pay for a premium subscription unless it had more features or allowed a better trial period with proper access before demanding payment..Version: 3.2.2

Falsely advertised on FBThe advice given is very general, nothing like the advertising, I.e. water related issues aren’t specific whether it’s under or over - I know this without a pricey app, the ads say the app tells you the exact solution which in reality it doesn’t..Version: 4.4.0

ScamOnce you’re in you can’t get out. Wrongly identified a simple Bay tree. Avoid at all costs. They make it impossible to avoid being charged. Post engagement they still won’t let me cancel. Nightmare app, avoid..Version: 3.7.2

Terribly lack of compassion in their customer serviceI got the trial, along with another alternative app, and used both for a few days to see which one I liked the most. I was conscious of making up my mind before the free trial ended so that I didn’t waste any money. I chose this one and opted for the one off payment for lifetime premium that kept popping up as a prompt. Little did I know, because that is a “one off in-app purchase” it does not mitigate the subscription that will start at the end of the trial period. So come the end of the trial period, I still got charged a weekly subscription fee, despite the fact that I had paid for lifetime premium. To add insult to injury, they didn’t charge it straight away and instead charged me two weeks worth in the second week. When I emailed them to say that I had been charged a subscription, despite having paid a larger sum for the lifetime premium, they basically just told me that that was my problem for not “managing my subscriptions” and that I should be aware that an in app purchase is “nothing to do with a subscription”. I wish I had not given them a cent of my money..Version: 3.6.3

UselessTried to review 3 different plants and the app did not identify a single one. Also tried to diagnose one of them which has a sickness and it said the plant looks healthy. Save your money. Don’t buy this.Version: 4.13.0

Cancelled same day downloaded it!I had cancelled the subscription the first day I downloaded it because they had so many days of a free trial offer first. I tried it right away and it kept scanning the incorrect plant data. Tried manually and it still gave me the wrong plant. They suggested I put it in more light, so I did. Sorry if I’m not going to take and carry my heavy plants outside because the app isn’t reading the plant correctly. I wasn’t going to mess with it, so I contacted the app company and told them not to charge me, that I don’t want the app. They then offered me just some more suggestions to try. They refuse to credit my account since the payment went through right away, even though I contacted them immediately. If you have the money to spend then this app is for you! But they charge for everything. I had ask a question on why one of my houseplants leaders was turning yellow and they charged me $20. To each their own but I don’t recommend this app at all!.Version: 3.8.2

Billing issues—read if you are still being billedI did the same as many of you. Put in to cancel my membership on the app. I reached out to customer service and they stated that the cancel my membership area on the app us just for their purposes and does not cancel the membership?!? You have to go into your settings, manage devices and subscriptions and cancel in there. This is extremely misleading. They are trying to scam people out of money by making you think you have cancelled your membership but you haven’t if you did it through the app. I have requested a refund through apple but we will see if that works or not. RUN far from this app. It doesn’t work anyways and is scamming people out of money as many that have had issues are not pushing them for resolution. You need to dispute through apple. Maybe apple can get this app shut down for their fraudulent billing practices..Version: 2.0.4

How is this rated so highly?I’ve been using PlantIn for approximately 2 months now, heavily, I have the $50 lifetime membership. I have many plants all tracked through it. The problem is their plant database is lacking SO much. I got several new plants and found that 3/5 were not included in the app. And 1/5 had inaccurate information and called the plant by another name. I reached out to customer service, and they’ve strung me along saying they’ll get them added, over a week now and nothing. Also, they told me my membership that was $50, is non refundable. ONLY get this app if you’re sticking to the basics. Snake plants, GOLDEN pothos (seriously they can’t tell the silvers apart), ya know, the very common plants. I unfortunately had to invest in a new app. Planta immediately had all of me new plants, I didn’t even have to ask for them and wait on helpless customer service. I’d recommend Planta if you’re gonna have some uncommon plants in your collection..Version: 3.9.1

Worse than useless! As a qualified horticulturist, with decades of experience, I can tell you that this app provides the worst advice I have ever seen. If you want to learn how to care for plants, please look absolutely anywhere else for info, as if you use this app, it will mislead & confuse you. It would have been very useful, if it wasn’t a total scam. Please avoid at all costs..Version: 4.11.2

The app is free but the actual purpose of the app has a costUnless you pay the app is useless. They should tell you that and not advertise as a free app.Version: 1.13.1

Limited UsabilityDownloaded the app and tested it on three plants. First was a Camellia floribunda which the app said was 80% C. japonica and about 17% C. sasanqua, close but no cupie doll. The second was an Australian native ground cover which the app suggested was a Serbian Bellflower (not even close). The third target was a smallish tree, a Callistemon which the app identified as Siberian Elm. Fun to use, but of limited functionality. Deleted the app..Version: 4.1.0

I just really can’t get along with this appI’m confused by all the good reviews, so maybe i’m doing something wrong, but this app feels like a complicated mess to use. I can’t figure out how to even use it to my advantage as all of the information isn’t there. It says things like check your plants health, and then tells me it’s sick! so i go to check why and it says your plant is either overwatered or underwatered. How is that meant to help me? Also, i paid for a lifetime pass for a supposed reduced price of £20 from £200, but now the app still constantly prompts me to buy one of the many additional packs for another £20! How could the lifetime pass that is supposed to be £200 not unlock the entire apps contents. Feel like I really gave it a try as well but even though I’ve paid for it, I think I might just delete it. Also there are a lot of spelling mistakes within the app, so it feels slightly poorly maintained..Version: 4.11.0

Avoid! They offer a free 3 day trial but still charge you even though you cancel. Not worth the hassle. I find it sad that apps do this. 😞.Version: 3.8.5

They will lie and take your moneyDO NOT GET THIS APP!! I got a free trial to see if this would be a useful app for me. They charged me one day into my trial period!! I still had days left on my trial! I had already turned off recurring charges in my phone settings, because the app was not great at accurately identifying plants. I reached out to them and they lied about the circumstances of my trial, and offered me a discount on a lifetime membership to the app. I told them that I do not even want the app and am still in my free trial. They lied about my trial period and treated me like I was an idiot that didn’t even know how to manage a phone. Thank goodness for PayPal who could see that this company was lying and taking advantage of a customer as soon as they did their investigation, and reversed the charges. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS APP!! There are more reputable and honestly run apps out there that will do a better job identifying your plants than this lousy app run by this this dishonest company..Version: 4.1.1

Be aware of in-app purchases!I am told after the fact that in-app purchases are processed separately, and they do not issue refunds for erroneously made purchases!! Unfortunately, I can’t say that I have had much opportunity to make use of the app yet, but so far it seems adequate. I do, however, take issue with the response I received when I asked for a refund of a extraneous billing. I signed up early Jan for the free 3 day trial. Before I was charged anything, I upgraded to a lifetime subscription and was promptly charged. A couple days ago, I received a receipt for two separate charges in addition, which reflected two separate weeks of subscription on top of the lifetime subscription. I immediately sent a message inquiring about the charge to which I received this response: “The lifetime account is a one-time in-app purchase so it won’t be listed in the subscriptions list while the subscription is a recurring payment so they are processed separately. …Please be advised that according to our Subscription Policy, all purchases are non-refundable. Please be advised that agreed to the terms when you paid for the subscription. We are sorry if this brings you any inconvenience and would like for you to consider making use of the situation by trying out our service.” I received a similar response when I attempted to clarify the error. BE AWARE!!.Version: 3.6.3

Helpful but has disappointmentsI am mostly dissatisfied with the amount of in-app purchases. I have already purchased a premium subscription, yet there are still extras such as theme colour changes and season pass collections that require further purchases! I use the app to keep track of my plants’ needs and progress rather than for the advice provided through the app so I can’t comment on the quality of information. There are small bothersome limitations such as not letting you back-date notes (notes are dated for the current date), however the usability of the app has continually improved since I first started using it which I have found helpful..Version: 3.8.0

Really Difficult to Cancel SubscriptionI am not one to typically leave reviews, but this has been especially challenging for me and I hope that the company can read this and make some changes or someone else who is passionate about plants and wanting to learn more can proceed with caution. I really support the idea of the app, and think that with some changes to the payment system it could be a helpful idea,However, I have been trying to cancel my subscription for many months and the app would continue to charge me weekly even when under the settings of the app it says I am not subscribed. So, that means there were many months that I was paying for the app and not able to use it. As a student who budgets my time energy and finances extremely meticulously, this was infuriating at times. It felt violating and really shady. I ended up needing to contact Apple to be sure that my subscription was removed. This was gas money, food money, and how I was supposed to meet my basic needs. I do not have nine dollars for times a month to spare for a "donation" I did not sign up for. Very disappointed in this - maybe The company could issue me a refund as I was not able to use the app during the time that I was paying for it. if that happens, I would be happy to make an addendum to this review. Otherwise, I recommend highly against purchasing this app..Version: 3.2.3

Total ScamI tried the free trial, cancelled 2 days before the expiration date as it was not what I was hoping for. However, I was still charged the FULL YEAR rate 😡 I manage the subscription through settings and good luck trying get it off your phone. I’ve submitted a request for review and reimbursement. Wish me luck. Save your money..Version: 4.26.2

Not very useful. In-app purchases.I have quite a few plants. Wanted to leave the best way to manage some of the tougher ones or unknown issues with some. General use of the paid subscription app is limited. For one plant, it didn’t help me know what to DO to help when the app said it had a sick leaf. App asked if I wanted to talk to an expert for information, so I agreed thinking it was part of the paid subscription, but it ended up being a lot extra. I tried to immediately rescind my request, within seconds. There’s no way. I contacted support immediately, and they basically said: no, sorry for your mistake, now that you paid anyway just give it a try. Yup, my mistake I guess. But still not helpful if you have to pay lots extra on top of an already paid subscription to get actual information to help your plants beyond “move it to more light, shade, etc” or “it’s sick” but no actual information of what to do..Version: 4.0.1

Read ALL Reviews before Purchase!!!I suggest that people always read ALL reviews before purchasing anything online!!! Protect yourselves people!!! I can get better results from google for free! I scanned a sick Aloe vera plant and the app identified it as a pineapple plant. I tried several times from different angles and got the same result. However it did correctly identify a healthy Aloe vera. There is absolutely no way I am going to pay for an app that does not allow me to try ALL of the features before purchase. Besides that, this app is way too expensive. I will throw the plant away and get a new one before I pay $7.99 a week!!! After reading Several of the ratings, I don’t see how it can be 4.4 stars. Too many issues with people having to pay extra for features that are NOT included with the subscription. Seriously???? If I’m paying for a subscription to something like this, I better have ALL of the features available to me, especially at this price!!! I think this app is a money scam!!!.Version: 3.2.2

FineIt’s fine. not as good as they’re saying in the description, and definitely not worth my 45$ dollars. the AR scanner worked for two minutes than i was obligated to identify my plants with pictures. also, they couldn’t identify some of my plants or didn’t identify them correctly, multiple time. i had the 3 days trial, it’s been 2 and half, and i already have been charged. i would like a full refund please. did not satisfy my expectations and needs..Version: 1.3.0

Not accurateTried the app for plant care information, I thought I would start with a simple strawberry plant and using the camera feature. I took a picture of a general garden strawberry plant with no other background plants and it come back with a tomato plant! I also tried on a few others and it not able to distinguish one plant from another..Version: 4.15.1

Do NOT download. This app is truly stealing money. The fee they charge is for a weekly subscription and as soon as your free trial is up they begin charging you. There’s no place to cancel the subscription within the app itself, I thought I had on day 2 but it wasn’t the case. You want to cancel the subscription through the App Store if / when you’re tired of them stealing from you. I don’t normally leave such reviews, but don’t condone this business strategy. It’s unethical and the team should really reevaluate, because this is ruining the brand..Version: 4.13.0

MehOk well I was kinda ok with this app. But now I’m not for it. I have been trying to figure out how to. Cancel it because I thought I was in a 7 day trail. But I can’t figure out how to cancel it. I also sent a ticket in under my feed back and it kinda strange how that tab worked just fine until I asked how to cancel. Now I can’t read the message they sent to me nor I can I send any messages under the my feed back. There is a 2nd tab that I can send message threw call feed back (not sure why they have a feed back and a my feed back tab) I can send comment’s threw the feed back but then they show up in the my feed back as a closed ticket. So yeah looks kinda of sketchy when this happens right after asking how to cancel. So the app is ok, I am kind bummed that I payed for it though since paying for what i thought was a premium membership did not give me full access. The stuff I was interested in, it is asking me to pay more money. The information that the membership is giving me is stuff I already know about my plants because I googled it..Version: 3.8.2

Charges you right away with a free trialIt offered a 3-day free trial and I got charged $13.21 immediately. Super frustrating when you just want to try an app out. I’m expecting a refund!.Version: 4.13.0

Misleading subscriptionI actually have never left a poor review for any app. I was super disappointed. I intended to pay for 1 week of use for $7.99. I went inside the app and clicked to cancel my subscription, only to be charged weekly for 6 more weeks $7.99/week—despite the fact that my cancellation was listed in my app account. I experienced around $50 of charges after I cancelled. I ended up canceling through my Apple account instead. When I contacted the company, they said the cancellation button in the app is only for “internal statistics” and that all purchases are nonrefundable. Convenient way for them to take advantage of those who think they cancelled through the app. If it doesn’t officially cancel the subscription, they need a notification letting the user know they also need to cancel through their Apple account. Taking advantage of subscribers & not honoring every customers’ experience is a deceitful way to create revenue..Version: 3.6.3

Brazenly overpriced$41.96 per Month?! For a Plants-App? Where is the realistic value? Even Netflix is cheaper and has more expensive content. Zoom out a little bit: I understand that people are working on this product and need food on their table! That's not the point. The point is the context, you can't make a product with it's USP to identify Plants and it costs you 42$ every month. That's 500$ per year, 5000$ in 5 years. I pay even for my Adobe subscription "just" 120$ and have way way way more functionality. The Design of the App is very modern and good tho!.Version: 3.6.1

Was good, no longer worksThis app used to be great, but for some reason the notifications have stopped working. I have been in touch with app support and they were unable/unwilling to help. Without the notifications to remind me the benefits of the app are pretty much gone. Now I have to remember to check the app....when I could just remember to water the plants! If it were that easy, I wouldn’t have needed it in the first place! The range of plants on the app is not complete and though it says you can request for some to be added, I have done this a couple of times to no avail. If the app worked, it would be great. A brilliant idea let down by poor support. I unfortunately paid the annual fee which they are refusing to refund me for. So I guess I’m stuck with it until the year’s out. Would heartily recommend a different app, with a support team who will care when you ask for help..Version: 1.13.1

Ineffective and can’t pick up basic plantsI trialled this app and could not get it to pick my orange plant at all and it struggled with coriander. It did give me an option to decide if basil was one of the items. Not recommended.Version: 3.6.3

They’ll scam you when you cancelWord to the wise — if you like this app, try to cancel it so you’ll get a massive discount offered to you (I was given a chance to buy LIFETIME subscription for $20 when I initiated the cancel process in-app. They offered every “but wait, there’s more. If you call in the next 10 minutes, you’ll get…” enticement to not cancel. I declined each and deactivated my subscription, which the app confirmed internally. My credit card still got hit a week later, however, as they do not actually cancel your recurring bill unless you manually do it through the App Store or contact Apple. The app itself has a lot of great features for enthusiasts and was useful for a trial run to try to save my dying Lilly plant, but quite frankly they should be ashamed of how predatory their cancellation process is. They must be struggling for $ if the price structure is nabbing people like myself during cancellation for a quick $7 weekly premium yet they’d go as low as $20 for lifetime. Gross and desperate..Version: 4.8.1

Subscription Issues ContinueI downloaded this app and had a free trial, however after not getting the right diagnosis (the plant was dying but after scanning it said it was healthy), I immediately canceled the subscription, this was on the week of May 23, 2022. Today, June 4, I see that I was charged for a weekly subscription. When looking at my subscriptions it is listed as active, even though it should NOT be, then clicking on the app subscription itself it give me plenty of different payment plans/subscriptions and at the bottom says I need to resubscribe and will be charged on June 7th, and NO OPTION TO UNSUBSCRIBE. This makes absolutely no sense as to why after unsubscribing almost 2 weeks ago I am being charged and while it shows the app as being an active subscription but when more details come up it is inactive. PLEASE ADDRESS THIS PAYMENT ISSUE. This is a terrible experience and the first of this kind..Version: 3.8.5

The worst plant app I’ve used!I saw this app from the ads with impressive function to identify disease and provide solutions. I downloaded the app and say they have 3 day trial for the one week subscription, so I went for the trial, however, I got charged immediately when I choose the trial. There is no time for you to even cancel the trial within the trial period! What a shock! I contacted their customer team, they asked me to provide my account and payment info, but they disappeared after I provided the evidence. Even after two follow ups, no one ever come back to me. Speaking of the app itself, I don’t see the same function as their ads claimed. Totally rubbish!.Version: 4.17.0

Rip off£8 per week and then if you want to actually use anything like ask an expert that will be another £20! I tried the disease identifier first two times it didn’t even pick up the black areas even though they were clearly visible then it gave a very generalised you have some type of fungal disease which I already knew..Version: 4.23.0

Unfortunately It didn’t work for meGreat interface, easy to use but unfortunately I have tried to scan over different plants, and the app could not properly identify any of these common plants not sure if it’s because I’ve used across Australia, common species. The app has a lot of potential can’t wait to see future improvements..Version: 4.2.1

HORRIBLE customer service, though good appWhile I like this app, the issue is the customer service. They double billed me a month ago, and after I emailed requesting a refund and cancelling my subscription, they got back to me 2 weeks after to offer a discount on their lifetime subscription (so I wouldn’t cancel). I declined the offer - but another two weeks later, I have yet to hear back from them and I still haven’t received my refund. This level of customer service inaptitude is unparalleled. Use this app FOR FREE ONLY..Version: 4.15.0

Updated, do NOT recommend, waste of moneyThe app is helpful. The watering schedule has improved the health of my plants and the ID feature works well. The sickness diagnosis does not work very well and the notifications only show up about 30% of the time. The notifications were the biggest selling point for me and now it’s hardly worth it. A notification app where the notifications don’t work isn’t worth $50 to me. Update after about a year: notifications never work. I’ve reinstalled, checked settings, there appears to no explanation for why I never get notifications for when to water/fertilize. This morning I tried to identify something growing near the base of my ivy and as usual, the automatic identifier didn’t come up with anything. I started a message to the botanist for help and every time I hit send got an “unknown error.” This happened about 6 times, restarted the app, same error persisted. Eventually, after hitting send, I was directed to the page asking me to pay $20 for help service. Apparently my $50 premium lifetime membership doesn’t include help? This overpriced, broken app keeps asking for more money for what? Additional broken services? Reduced rating to one star..Version: 3.8.2
