What is Skaka - Shaken Percussion? Description of Skaka - Shaken Percussion

Skaka is a sample-based sequencer plug-in for shaken percussion instruments. What’s unique with Skaka is that its audio engine and sequencer handles samples with a defined musical start which makes it possible to set the intended timing of each shake in a natural way resulting in very lifelike rhythms.
The sequencer and sample player engine are built from the ground up to facilitate the needed parameters and features for a lifelike percussive sound. Each event added to any of the 12 independent sequencers can control multiple parameters such as pitch, velocity (as in how fast the instrument is shaken) and envelope. It can also be synchronized to the tempo and playhead position of a host application.
With full control over shuffle/swing amount, a complex humanizer settings panel, internal awareness of in and out shakes (yes, they sound different), using grids divided into triplets/quintuplets/septuplets, time fine-tuning and variable sequence lengths, Skaka can get very close to how a human percussionist would sound in almost any tempo without any use of degrading time stretching or similar techniques.
In addition to the 12 sequencers and their internal parameters, there is a reverb, a room simulator, and a high shelf filter.
Skaka comes with nearly 200 preset patterns covering most genres and styles.

USAGE

The main view shows 12 slots containing a sequencer and its parameters. These sequencers are started and stopped by MIDI Note On and Note Off (one for each MIDI note from C to B).
To reveal and edit a sequencer’s events and parameters, tap the sequencer overview (in the middle of each slot).

Skaka - Shaken Percussion Pros

Very Impressed! Finally some real sounding shaker sounds! Excellent realism. I tried every drum sequencer I could find looking for real sounding shaker sounds but they all sounded like something being struck, not shaken. Skaka performs the job well. The built in sequencers have excellent presets to start with and you can make your own. I’m looking forward to seeing some additional shaker sounds in the future. Bonus points for “Data Not Collected”. That’s important to me. Thank you!.FundypanVersion: 1.1.0

Awesome but one thing...Would be really REALLY awesome with the ability to save my own presets in iOS without having to resort to state saving... otherwise, top app as usual from KLVGR 👍🏼.BoubindicaVersion: 1.0.0
