Careful if you are a sexual assault survivorA note to the developers — if you want women to use this app, you might want to curate your comedy section a little more. Many women who are depressed (and just many women) have experienced sexual assault and may be especially triggered on bad days by you recommending Bill Cosby and Louis CK at the top of your comedy list. There are plenty of comedians you could use to cheer people up without them. I was excited by the otherwise gentle nature of this app, but that really shut me down when I was looking for something to cheer me up this evening..Version: 1.0.36

Not free - this is paid subscriptionThis is a paid subscription. It is not free with in app purchases as stated. You have to subscribe as soon as you download it, though it says it will give you 3 free days, but it won’t let you access anything you’ve subscribed.Version: 2.3.1

Good apps don’t need money scam gimmicksIf the app is good and works it doesn’t need to try to trick people into paying as much as possible. Why not allow a trial for monthly subscription? It’s only because they want you to forget and have it roll over into a $40 plan. At that point they make the most money from people forgetting to unsubscribe and it’s too late. Don’t trust health and wellness apps that pull this kind of thing. Money is the primary focus..Version: 2.5.0

MISSLEADINGSays 3 days free trial but in the small print it’s only if you select the yearly plan so it’s taken £15 from my account 😡 also saying customer service email doesn’t exist!! Mental health is feeling real good right about now 😤.Version: 2.3.1

Too expensive£15 a month is so prohibitive! Looks like a great app but way out of reach.Version: 2.5.0

Can’t sign up/login with Google or AppleIt gives me the option to login with either, but as soon as I’ve completed the login it just does nothing, and still prompts me to login. It also won’t let me say yes to Shmoody using my data to personalise the app, although that’s less important to me.Version: 2.7.0

Not Great FeaturesThere are some good ideas here but they aren’t thought through- like I can only make one checklist at a time but once I am out of bed it doesn’t help me anymore. What if I need a checklist for another difficulty?? Also, all the film recommendations list streaming services for Americans. It is very geared towards them, which irritates me as a non-American consumer. I like being recommended media, but I am treated lesser. I also would like to be able to remove the community section of the app if I want because strangers hold no knowledge I desire. It is not a customizable app at all and it is obviously not updated or tailored to the user experience very much. I wanted to like it but I think I’m better off with Trello tbh..Version: 2.6.0

Advertisements for this app are better than the app!Shocking.. terrible design. Constantly pops up asking you to pay them or start a free trial… literally constantly! So after a while I clicked the free trial and tried to sign up, then it says my credit card was wrong. And their support page for online requests didn’t even load! Terrible app design and just here for money!.Version: 2.5.0

Bizarre resultsI’m very glad I canceled my free trial before being charged for the overpriced subscription service on this app. It seems to think I’m clinically depressed based on my “phone usage” (no other details provided) and today it started randomly playing music three different times. Couldn’t figure out where the music was coming from and had to shut down all apps to find the source. And then even though I didn’t reopen the app, it played music by itself again. Deleted. Skip this one..Version: 2.8.1

Definitely not worth the moneyThink it’s kind of messed up to force people to pay for a mental health app (profiting off of depression guys, cmon), and especially because it’s clearly still in early development — super expensive and it’s glitchy, doesn’t allow more than five actions in a routine, and the interface is pretty ragged and laborious. Can you tell I just forgot to cancel my free trial and now I’ve paid $50 for only a years subscription when I don’t think it’s even worth $20 for life..Version: 2.6.0

“You’ll receive a notification when you’re going to be charged”.. turns out that was a lie.Shame on this app for the false advertising around being notified you’ll be charged $40 for a self help/mood enhancement app. Absolutely ridiculous. That completely just ruined this app for me. Not coming back..Version: 2.7.0

Not helpful without payingWithout paying the £14.99 subscription don’t bother, it’s a glorified and limiting planner app. It won’t allow you to do most stuff that is advertised without purchase and many other reviews even say that the ‘3 day trial’ is a con. The only real thing you can do for free on the app is a ‘action plan’ which as stated is a glorified planner that you aren’t even allowed to really make yourself, you pick from curated randomised options and when you go to make one yourself it tells you to pay. Get a planner app for free and just do it yourself and avoid paying..Version: 2.7.0

Kinda bummed 🥺I loved the idea and layout of this app! I was so excited because I need this in my life..But now I’m kind of bummed because I started the process and you have to agree to some sort of subscription plan after 7 day trial.. I have sooo many medical bills, and I am on a fixed income so unfortunately I’ll have to uninstall it 🥺.Version: 2.5.0

Deleting this app, toxic unsafe comments, no moderators on forum.I posted on the forum to vent and validate something in my life, and someone (with the same username as my ex) replied a toxic comment “it’s your fault” for it. It is supposed to be a safe and supportive community but I felt triggered. I reported the post, the user, and submitted a separate request to have it addressed and also uploaded a screenshot, and it has not been taken down for a week. This means that there are no moderators and no one actually checks the reports made or does anything about it. That or they overlooked my request. I find this mentally harmful given the vulnerable position I was in. I cannot recommend this app for this reason..Version: 2.1.10

App CrashesI saw there were reviews where people were trying to customize action plans where the app kept crashing. The developers responded saying the bug was fixed. This happened to me repeatedly today. Never successfully made the plan. App not working ended up stressing me out more. Deleted the app and cancelled subscription..Version: 2.6.0

MisleadingVery misleading. Advertised as free, but you only get a 3 day free trial, before paying a monthly or yearly subscription fee. Deleted straight away after realising this..Version: 2.3.1

I feel these apps should be free with donation optionsI keep seeing apps for addressing mental health issues but they are all subscription based apps. I feel they should be free with an option to donate. If they actually help i would donate to the developers because i have tried a few apps like this and they didnt help at all and the developers still got my money, which shows them the app “works” when in reality it didnt in the slightest. These kind of apps are just capitalizing on people with mental health issues with bots writing positive reviews.Version: 2.2.11

Very good idea, but app it’s too laggyThis could be a great and very useful app, but there are just too many technical issues that prevent you from enjoying what it can offer. - loading times upon opening are just too long to be acceptable - register/log in flow broken (sign up with Apple (or Twitter) buttons don’t work or work only after pressing them multiple times, if manually input email/pwd the register button is unresponsive - challenge pages take a lot to load. App tried on iPhone 12 Pro..Version: 1.0.57

Costs 40 bucksApps should have to say upfront, BEFORE you download, if they are only offering a free *trial,* so we don’t have to waste our time downloading, answering a bunch of questions, and only then finding out the cost. As it stands the only way to find out what it actually costs is to do all that crap, then delete & start over with a different app..Version: 2.6.0

Free App?Free for 3 days then £14.99 per month, define free please?.Version: 2.3.0

Never got it to work attempt to canc 7 day subscription “chsrged me anywYFor something that is supposed to help you to feel better. It didn’tnever really able to get it set up during free 7 days, so I tried unsuccessful to cancel it multiple times. Never ever used any of the functions. But after less than seven days, it charged both me and another person on my family account $40! Both of us for one subscription that I didn’t even want. It did not show up in my iTunes account, so I was unable to cancel that way. I finally found it on my phone and attempted to cancel it again but now I have to pay for a whole year of a useless app that cost me nothing but stress anxiety and bad feelings. And now I have no confidence that a year from now. I won’t force me add another person to pay another $40. Avoid this at all cost if you want to feel better.Version: 2.4.0

Margaret Thatcher lolReally wanted to like it as it’s a great idea but the first thing I saw when I opened it after signing up was a Margaret Thatcher quote and there’s no way I’m trusting my mental health to an app that throws unsolicited Margaret Thatcher at me soz lads..Version: 2.5.0

Nice ideaGood app idea and can be very useful however it’s still lagging, it gets quite slow many times and crashes often making it hard to use.Version: 2.8.1

Need a subscription just to try it???I downloaded this app because I’ve been looking for something to help me keep on track with healthy daily habits and found that the free trial period is only three days and then you have to buy a subscription. I saw multiple developer responses to reviews saying there are many free features and I haven’t found a single one. Seems like it would be difficult to tell in just three days if an app geared toward promoting mental health actually works for you enough to buy a subscription… I’m not against subscriptions since people need to get paid and I certainly don’t believe this app is a capitalization on mental health, but it does feel a little scammy to have basically no chance to test it out :/.Version: 2.3.1

Not For MeI’m grateful to the developers for allowing people to have a 7-day free trial so they can see if this app benefits them before parting with money. It was not useful to me, most of the content was tedious and nothing that isn’t available in a zillion other apps. Hard pass..Version: 2.5.0

It’s not freeIt’s not free like one review says. It’s a 7 day trial then £32.99 a year or £12.99 a month. That not just an in-app purchase that’s a subscription. You should be more transparent..Version: 2.7.0

Crashing my phoneDidn’t cancel m subscription (not what I needed after trial). Fine. Developers n ed to eat too. But now my phone is crashing when I try to use the app! I ant my money back! Paying for something I can’t use overrides my willingness to let a year of payment go in peace.Version: 2.6.0

Subscription requiredNone of the features are usable without a paid subscription, making it completely inaccessible to me and others who might benefit from it. It feels deceptive not to make that clear up front. I wouldn't have wasted my time downloading it..Version: 2.5.0

This app doesnt work correctly. Needs updates or something. The app worked perfectly fine when i first opened it after downloading. I then tried to create my "action plan" and every time i would hit "customize" the app would just close. I wouldn't consider anyone to download this app, considering it doesn't function properly..Version: 2.3.0

Provide free help for everyone3 stars because good app, how ever. This goes out to all apps that aim to help people. Any app that is for making people better themselves or help them through hard times should be free with the option of donations because why capitalise on someone’s struggle by charging them to get help it’s wrong. I would say have the option to pay a subscription if someone is in a good financial state & wants to donate towards the costs of the app but create something that’s available to everyone and do some meaningful help..Version: 2.2.23

Needs oversightHas some promising features – draft texts, step-by-steps action plans, rainymood, etc. – but needs oversight by actual psychologists. The tone is definitely capital-W Wellness. Challenges like a ‘negative thought detox’ promote toxic positivity, not distress tolerance skills; and the film/media recs are often really poor-taste choices or aren’t being screened for vulnerable viewers. Though Finch wasn’t for me either, it’s a better example of a ‘fun’ mental self-care app..Version: 2.5.0

NahThe second i read the term “adulting” i hit delete. i guess this app was created for a school project ..Version: 2.1.11

Needs workTwo minutes in their 'quick start' and found it was impossible to grab a premade action plan and easily edit it. I want to rearrange the order and delete one item. Why have I been to multiple "edit" areas and not been able to find that option?.Version: 2.6.0

Good idea, app didn’t workSimple as that, kept trying with both google and Apple but just froze on the create an account page and would never go any further.Version: 2.7.0

Good for those willing to pay for a subscriptionHonestly think the app is great, just for the people who are willing to pay. Even with a lower price than many other services, for someone like myself, its still not an option. I cant add a monthly subscription on top of school; even the yearly isnt something I can afford as just a one time payment. Its an unfortunate reality for many people and Im one of them. However, this app could be really beneficial to a lot people and I think if you have the funds, you should definitely try it..Version: 2.5.0

App difficult to useI downloaded the app to begin a free trial. Features of the app were hard to use or they would never load. I would have liked a better walkthrough of the app and how to use/set up features. All of these made me want to cancel the trial as even my initial experience was confusing or unusable..Version: 2.7.0

“Can’t connect to servers”Can’t even use the app, stable connection or not, through multiple days I cannot access the app. Pointless..Version: 2.6.0
