✓ Very hard to useI’m not sure what country this app originated in but in my experience most of the elves in the US look the same and none of the options allow for that in this app. For example my elf doesn’t have buttons or any boots and you cannot do that on this app. It is also very confusing on how to use the floor scan and then the plotting. It took me probably 10 times to get a video with an elf actually in it. The app has a lot of potential but needs to be tweaked..Version: 23.0.10

✓ Not worth $5Where do I start? I’ll give it 2 stars for the idea behind it. I thought this would be a cool thing to show my kids like, “look what I caught on camera!” You have to pay for it just to use the app and see what it’s about and then pay an additional .99 for filters to mask how unrealistic the animation is…Unless you’re showing this to a toddler, who let’s face it, probably could care less to begin with, kids aren’t going to buy how obviously fake this is. The elves they let you pick from don’t even match the traditional elf on the shelf you get in the store, so if you’re showing this to a typical kid who notices the little details like this they’ll call you out instantly on that. (Outfits and features are not the same). Also, after multiple attempts I still couldn’t get the animations to look right or even close to natural looking. We live in the digital age, and kids now days know the difference between real and made on an app or computer. Bottom line, if your kids are almost to the age where they might not think Santa and elf on the shelf aren’t real anymore…this app will seal the deal lol. Save the $4.99 and record the elf riding your roomba or the dogs collar or something. At least then it’s the same elf and not some poorly animated and obvious fake..Version: 23.0.10
