Lingvano - Learn Sign Language for Negative User Reviews

Too pricey but goodAs much as I love it and think it’s a great way to learn, it’s wayyy to expensive and only lets you do the tutorial thing, once your passed that it makes you have to pay, and my parents will not pay £18 a month for practically nothing. They said the should just pay for me to do actual lessons instead that’ll be worth there money, but I think the app is great and loads of help, I just hope the developers make a change so that it’s more accessible to more people :) Like duolingo, it’s free for you to learn practically any language, but you have to pay for premium, which gives you all the extra stuff. That way anyone can access it and more people use it, I think that’s what lingvano should do. Instead of making you pay for the whole app, you should just do a premium that people pay for instead, that way more people will download and use the app :).Version: 3.0.2

Have to payI thought this was free but it’s only free for the first 4 lessons (which are very short). Now I have to be a premium member to review what I’ve learned and to continue. It’s very expensive..Version: 2.7.7

Costs money, the ad said it wouldn’tYou can’t even complete the first lesson without paying the subscription. One of the main reasons I downloaded was because the ad said it was free. On the ad: I was hesitant to download this app simply because in the ad the person who was signing and trying to get the other person to download the app was being super rude. She was talking down to the person who didn’t know sign saying “You won’t download this app” “Got any more excuses?” And etc. When she simply showed interest in learning sign. One of the main points the signing person made was that it was free so you can learn sign and not have money being an excuse as to why you don’t learn but it’s a monthly subscription (which I’ve read is $18 a month) before you even finish the first lesson. This is ridiculous marketing and even more ridiculous pricing. If you wish to help deaf and hard of hearing people by teaching people sign claiming it’s free and being rude is NOT the way to do it..Version: 2.8.6

Not freeI wish they had a version with ads, I don’t have money to spend. I wish they had a free version cause it’s a good app but it’s annoying that I have to pay to communicate with people, you should be pushing to communicate more with people in the deaf community, there shouldn’t be a price to talk to those who can’t hear.Version: 3.0.2

MehIt was fine at the start but then it turned out I would of had to pay to finish it which I find kind of disappointing bc I want to learn it but I’m not gonna pay to learn it..Version: 2.7.5

2/10Great app, but expensive and you even can’t get through the first chapter without the free trial or subscription. 2/10 stop caring so much about money i just wanna learn sign language by myself..Version: 3.0.1

Not enough Available without PurchaseThe small lessons that are available for free seem to be great to help people unfamiliar with sign language learn and understand the structure and inner working of the language. There are tidbits and need-to-knows sprinkled into the lessons. However there is not enough available for free. Perhaps I’m too hard to please, but I do believe that the majority of it should be available for free. A learning tool that isn’t out for your hard earned money would be nice, and this app in particular seemed to be off to a good start until I noticed that anything past the 1st module is locked behind a paywall. So now I know how to say Hello and such, but I can’t get any further than a greeting without spending money. I think that learning should be above payment and it’s so sad to see what could have been an amazing resource fell into a capitalist trap..Version: 2.8.1

Idiotic. So, this app is targeted towards the average casual user, right? People who genuinely need to or have to learn sign language likely have better resources available to them, and casual learners with endless disposable income could easily afford in person lessons or something more reliable and higher tier quality with their endless amounts of money. $18/month is a laughably high amount for the target audience of this app to spend. This app could get 1000 users willing to pay ~$5/month for every 10 that are willing to pay ~$20/month. There are so many more options and resources available for learning ASL that are either free or much more cost effective than this. Also the blatant word-mouthing greatly takes away from the learning experience..Version: 2.7.2

I did enjoy the learning on the appHowever, you can only access the first few lessons for free, afterwards you have to pay to continue. I think I would enjoy it more if there was more content freely available, but I quickly lost interest when I couldn’t access most of the content without paying money. I found the lessons quite easy to understand and follow along with, so I can appreciate that the app is helpful, I just don’t agree with the fact I can’t actually take the lessons because I can’t afford it.Version: 2.8.0

It’s awesome but..I really like this app but I have big beef with premium. Things like the review at the end of modules would make a bit of sense to need premium for, but all I can do without paying is the first module NOT including the review at the end. I’m neurodivergent and can sometimes go nonverbal. What if I don’t have a pen and paper or an electronic device to communicate?? Sometimes I can’t force myself to speak which means I’ll have no way to communicate my needs. And what about those born deaf or went deaf before they learned a good amount of spoken words?? What about mute people?? I and many others with these or similar problems may not have a good support system or the money to take ASL classes or pay for fancy apps. This app was really good! It explained stuff and had multiple methods of teaching. But what’s the point of having it if it ain't accessible to as many as possible?? This seems like exploitation if I’m being honest and that’s not a good look. Please change this..Version: 2.6.8

OkOverall, it’s a good app but you end up having to pay for it.Version: 2.8.6

You have pay for the restI though it be like duolingo how you can complete all lesson without paying for free while there options for those who want to pay can. Bit annoying i started like 30 mins ago and now have delete the app cause I have to pay. Feel like wasted my time learning just to be stopped by a paywall.Version: 2.8.1

Good app, but..Honestly, I want to learn more ASL for the future and help me study for my ASL class in high school so I don’t forget certain vocabulary. The introduction is wonderful however the fact we have to buy a subscription to have more than the first chapter to me is ridiculous. The prices are rather high too. I understand the need to pay people, however this is just disappointing. I was excited to learn, because it’s hard to find materials and apps to learn ASL anyways, but was quickly disappointed upon seeing I have to buy more chapters instead of needing to watch an ad or waiting till the next day. It puts people who cannot afford these subscriptions but want to learn, like students and etc at a disadvantage once more. No one enjoys ads but the people would rather watch them instead of needing to pay needlessly expensive subscriptions. It’s a good app, don’t get me wrong, I just had my hopes up and was yet again crushed because of yet another pay wall..Version: 3.0.2

Has PotentialI’m a strong believer that learning a language should always be accessible to everyone for free. The fact that there is a mandatory pay wall after the first few lessons is unacceptable. I want to learn sign language to be able to help people feel included but the pay wall of this app doesn’t allow that..Version: 2.7.9

Shame about the costReally good app. Was really impressed until the free trial was mentioned and cost was shown. Price is why the star rating is lower. It would have been 5 if completely free. My son is deaf and as hearing parents it’s a real struggle to find any BSL training for free. People should not be charged to communicate with their family and friends. Such a shame..Version: 2.7.9

If you are tight on budget you can find alternativesIt was going all so smoothly, i loved the layout and how everything was being explained then it ask you to start paying at the review of the first unit. if you want to learn but don't want to spend too much then skip this app: you have one unit free yes, 7 days free trial but then you will have to pay a lot monthly if you want to keep going. sadly is not for me.Version: 2.6.9

Amazing app, but the price makes it unusableReally love this app, but unfortunately I will not be able to use it due to the 20 dollars a month that it costs. I already know some entry level ASL and I downloaded this looking to refresh and advance my skills. I started using the free trial and I really loved this app and thought it was a great way for people to learn. Then I saw how much it costs and realized I will not be able to use it. I would pay for a good quality app like this, but not 20$ a month. If you can pay I think the app is great, but I think the price is discouraging for most people who want to learn. For 5-10$ less I think many more people would be willing to pay and learn a lot from this app..Version: 3.0.2

EhhSo this app is amazing. I can communicate with my non-hearing residents because of this app the only down fall is you must Pay. You don’t actually finish a module because if you want to “Finish” you have to pay..Version: 1.1.5

Advertised as free, isn’t freeOnly a small few lessons are free. Why bother asking me how much time I want to spend on lessons a day if I can only spend a few minutes using the whole app in total. I would understand if it limited how much you can do a day before it charged. But there’s barely anything before you have to pay 9.99 a month. Which I feel is overpriced for what the app is..Version: 2.8.1

Not In other languageI learn a lot of sign language in French and French Is not here!.Version: 2.7.8

Good app but should be free! This app is good but I don’t think people should have to pay to learn Sign language. Anything could happen to anyone at any given moment and needing to learn sign language should be free to everyone around the world. This app should be free just like it should be taught in all schools so please make this app free!!!.Version: 2.7.9

It’s a good appHelpful, reminds me of Duolingo, but in some of the videos the lady doesn’t mouth the words as she signs. Lip reading is just as important as the actual signs and gives additional context. Sometimes it’s hard to answer properly when the sign could have two meanings and both fit the context..Version: 2.8.2

Paywall to further educationThis app could be great and I’m not saying there shouldn’t be a subscription type service with this, but completely blocking off people who are unwilling or can’t pay is not the way. I was interested in learning BSL and found this app got a little bit into it but barely scratched the surface and it said I had to pay to continue, so I thought maybe I had done too many lessons in one day, come back a day later and nope. Have to pay what is quite a large monthly fee, which even though I am interested, I don’t think is justified. Hope the developers see that there is a better solution.Version: 3.0.2

This could be great….Downloaded and completed the first lesson. I thought ‘this is AMAZING’; really loved the lesson content/delivery, the interface is engaging, this could be THE app to rival the other well known language 🦜 app…… but you literally can’t do more than one lesson without paying an extortionate amount. At least with the other app you can continue learning LOADS and premium is just to keep adds at bay and a few other additional features. Real shame..Version: 2.7.9

Good app, but ridiculously expensive.Happy to pay subscription fee but not £120 upfront annually, or £18 a month. That's ridiculously high. Very Over-priced compared to other language apps. Pricing yourself out of the market is somewhat counterproductive..Version: 2.6.9

Really great until you have to payI was able to use this for 2 days before it blocked me out saying I needed to pay to continue. It would have been better to make this an app that you pay to download instead of dangling the carrot, appearing to be free but actually costing money..Version: 2.8.0

If I could give it a 0 I would !It is a really good learning app for sign I learned a lot in 1 day but then it stopped me. I thought it was because I had done the amount given in a day with out the subscription. I was very wrong you get to make a goal and account just to do mostly complete 1 lesson. You can’t do another even after a day without paying ! Such a scam I was really excited. I thought it would be like duolingo but for sign language!.Version: 3.0.1

Good but frustratingThis app is good, but the curriculum moves too fast with not enough review. They start you off very easy and then jog through to really complicated and long dialogs where its so hard to follow. And a lot of the words aren’t revisited in a way that helps build memory, I’ll learn a word once and then not see it again until it’s in the middle of a huge dialog 6 lessons later and I’m expected to be able to figure it out? I’m currently a frustrated customer. For as expensive as this app is, I wish it was better designed for learning constructively. This is making me think they didn’t test it with actual users.Version: 2.8.2

Affordability…As someone who recently lost most of her hearing, it’s disappointing that there isn’t a “free” version (or at the very least, a more affordable paid option). It’s a huge bummer. Most spoken language apps offer more in this regard…yet learning a second spoken language often isn’t completely necessary, but just an interest/for fun/helpful for travel or work. Learning ASL is now a NECESSITY for my family and me, and there aren’t many options out there to learn quickly. Otherwise, this seems like a great program. I just can’t give it a completely fair assessment because it blocks access to everything after completing 75% of the very first lesson, and after viewing TWO dictionary words….and sadly, I can’t afford the monthly or annual prices..Version: 3.0.2

Good, but could be betterFirst off, the price is crazy expensive and I didn’t see an option for a yearly discount which I do for Duolingo. Speaking of, unless these are owned by the same company, a lot of this app seems to be copying Duo. Again regarding price, the app is quite…ugly. The appearance and interface could use a major overhaul, as well as the logo. Branding matters and maybe if it was pleasant to look at, I could possibly justify the monthly price. The trial was so short I couldn’t even become interested in wanting to pay for it. When there are so many other free options out there, I’ll have to go elsewhere. TLDR: I did learn a few basic words in the super short trial. While I understand deaf people mouth words as they sign, I found this distracting while learning because I was just reading their lips instead of focusing on the hand movements. App design is unappealing and dated but content is decent..Version: 3.0.2

Disappointing. Just wanted to brush up on vocab.I realize the time and effort it takes to make an app like this, but $18 a month is way too steep. That’s the price of Netflix and Disney+ combined—almost an entire hour of work at my job. Inflation isn’t really a reason, and you’ve got a simple word like “Good” locked behind a paywall. I already know a lot of ASL, however, I wanted to learn new vocabulary related to the food we serve where I work. I know most words like bacon, toast, coffee, milk, etc, but I’d forgotten simple things along those lines like sugar, ice, and juice. I used the dictionary after it interrupted my first lesson to try and force the trial down my throat, but I was only able to look up a couple words before it again tried to force the free trial on me. You don’t get to finish lesson one, and you don’t get the dictionary at all, unless you’re paying $18 a month. Here’s what you get to learn for free: Hello, Bye, How, Me, You, Deaf, Hearing, Thank you. After that, it was guessing on signs like: Book, Swimming, Baby. So if I ever have a question about a word after learning ASL from your app, you expect me to continue to pay $18 a month for that dictionary? Absurd, and doesn’t help the deaf community if it’s all behind a paywall..Version: 2.8.2

You have to payIt's nice but it only gives you one lesson then you have to pay. It also asks you to review before they ask you to pay so.Version: 2.8.6

Solid app to start BSLLingvano is a really good place to *start* learning the basics of BSL. It teaches you some basic everyday signs and some more specific signs too, as well as BSL grammar, fingerspelling and counting. However, for me the app has lost two stars for two reasons: 1) It’s still missing a lot. Like… A LOT. Even after completing all the modules you’ll still feel lost within minutes of talking to a deaf person in real life because there’s still so much to learn - so you’ll have to eventually cancel your subscription and continue your learning with a tutor. 2) Way, way, way, way too expensive. £18 a month is a joke for what is essentially half a resource. Prices need to be adjusted fairly and made accessible to more people. For now I’d recommend paying for a subscription and grinding all the modules within one or two months. Make your own notes as you go and take whatever screenshots you need to jog your memory later and then cancel your subscription. Hopefully the app will improve in the future but for now it’s just not quite there yet..Version: 3.0.2

Could be amazing :(If you were to make the premium more affordable or even have lessons unlock on a daily basis then you would have way more people use your app! The first lesson I took was very easy to digest and very well made so I know the rest would be great! But I didn’t even get to finish the first lesson because I had to pay up. $18??? Really??? Not everyone can afford a membership like that! By having it at such a steep price your excluding people who would genuinely want to learn. And by doing so destroying future opportunities and relationships community-wise. How are people supposed to come together when they don't have the resources to connect with one another? I know most of asl can be learned for free online but to be able to have lessons put together in an easily understandable manner is so important to prevent the lost of understanding and interest. I'm not saying make it completely free, I completely understand everything takes time and money, but to at least have it unlock a lesson a day would be amazing! And you could have the membership as an option for people who want to learn at their own pace! If Duolingo can let you take 6 languages at a time for free with option of 6.99 a month for learning at one’s own pace, I think you can have a free lesson a day with a membership option of less than $18. I still can't get over that, $18? That's an entire paycheck for some people. Think about it and do better..Version: 2.8.6

Free trial. You might as well pay for the app, I barely got to learn anything. This app is REALLY good at teaching but I have no money, so I can’t learn? The ads for this app should warn you that you can’t use the app without a paying. It’s so stupid. I wish I could ACTUALLY LEARN without a free trial! Next time please put a warning instead of wasting my time. Do I like what I’ve learned so far? YES. Do I want to learn more from this app? YES I do, but I have no money. Please think of the people that want to learn and don’t have money. That’s the whole reason we learn online is because we can’t afford in person classes. Please think. Thank you..Version: 3.0.2

You have to payI was really enjoying this app and was so happy i got to learn ASL. But when i had to pay to continue i was so mad! This is outrageous and i shouldnt have to pay to have to pay to learn sign language. Definitely should change this. Do NOT buy this app if you poor, (like me).Version: 2.6.4

Bring adsWould love the option of ads because this is way too expensive. If you have the money this is a great tool otherwise highly wouldn’t recommend as it pay walls you incredibly quick after taking your information and account creation.Version: 2.8.0

Not great…I’m fourteen years old and want to learn ASL, it’s an overall okay app, the lessons are quick and simple, but there’s a ton of issues. To start, I don’t have any means of paying for the premium. I couldn’t even finish chapter one without it advertising that I pay to learn. I’m not def, but would like to be able to communicate with def or hard of hearing people and there are people who need access to this for their needs especially def people. The price is insane and I cannot afford that. It’s ridiculous. Another problem is the lessons. They’re easy to understand, yes. But they dump so much information that it’s hard to grasp just one thick that you’re learning. To brush up on one specific sign I’d have to go through an entire lesson and go through things I already know and that’d be aggravating to most. There’s definitely some improvement to be had..Version: 3.0.2

Ok but…You have to pay to continue. It says ‘free’ but the only free thing is learning ‘yes’ and ‘no’. Almost $30 for ONE MONTH! You should have to pay to learn a language. Thank you, but no thank you..Version: 2.6.4

Good but expensive!I’m really happy to encounter the ad of this app on my Instagram. I downloaded straight away. However, I can’t believe they monetised this, I’m just trying to learn to understand my relative better, and I have to pay for it. So sad to live in this world. Even Duolingo only ask you to pay if you need something extra. This is very unfair.Version: 2.8.3

Brilliant idea, though cost makes it less accessibleI was really happy with the free parts of this app. The lessons are concise and well taught, and I feel like I learned a lot. Unfortunately there are only a few lessons available without subscribing, which isn’t ideal for making BSL more accessible to everyone, though I understand that the costs associated with running the app probably makes this necessary. I’m excited to see how the app develops over time and hopefully more will become available on the free version..Version: 2.8.2

Odd you have to pay to learn how to communicate with people who have disabilities..The lessons themselves are great, but the fact that you have to pay to learn how to communicate with people who have a disability is kind of stupid in my opinion. While the app teaches basic signing and a good way to say hi or ask if someone is deaf, it doesn’t provide more than that. Even if the fact you had to pay was dumb, the price that the app makes you pay is completely unreasonable. It makes you pay more than most people make after working for hours. I find that insane. I will say though that the idea is great, but the prices and the fact you have to pay is pretty insane..Version: 2.8.3

Very disappointed :(Don’t get me wrong, this app has been amazing. I feel like if I could use this app, I could learn asl in a blink of an eye. I’ve already learned many words, greetings, and phrases due to this app, but you can’t even finish the first lesson. Once you’re about to finish the first lesson, it doesn’t let you learn, or go any further. The only way that you’ll be able to keep on learning is if you pay. This was a huge downfall for this app, I absolutely hate apps that don’t let you learn, or go further unless you have to pay, and I know that I’m not the only one that feels this way. So if you’re not a fan of paying for apps, then this definitely isn’t for you..Version: 2.8.6

Didn’t workI love the idea. Completed the first part. Tried to move onto my iPad from my phone so I could see it easily and log in failed even tho details are correct. So carried on on my phone subscribed and it wouldn’t let me continue saying I need the subscription even tho i added this. Closed app and re opened. Didn’t work so cancelled subscription considering it didn’t work. Quite annoying as soo seems good.Version: 2.7.1

Pictures Won’t Load, Progress Constantly LostThis could be a great app. I was ready to subscribe and pay the high fee because I like the way it’s set up. However, going through the free trial showed me it would not be worth the fees… every time a picture won’t load, I’ve submitted error feedback; usually about 30 times per session. It wouldn’t be as bothersome if progress continued, but every time I have to go back to the dashboard to reload my progress is lost. I then have to go through the whole unit again and pray that the pics will load. Repetition is good, but 30 times over to get through a unit is insane, especially if you’re paying for it..Version: 2.7.9

Unfair and DisappointingDownloaded it because I wanted to learn BSL. I said I wanted to learn 10 minutes each day minimum. Started the first chapter, learnt how to say Hello, How-You?, Welcome, Goodbye, I’m Fine, Deaf, Hearing, Yes, No, Swim, House, Monkey, Book, Eat, Tree, Ball, Drink, Baby, Aeroplane, Robot. Yeah pretty much all the signs you learn and then you can’t go further. Thought you could unlock a chapter a day by completing goals. But no. It let me read 3 words from the dictionary before asking for a subscription, more money. Now it won’t let you do anything without paying. Even waited a day to see if more signs could be learnt. No. Just money. Not to mention you can’t even tell how much more you can learn from the app. Needs free or lower pricing. Not accessible to all who might beed it..Version: 3.0.2

PaywallIt does have a lot of lessons, and I did enjoy following along, but you can only go through like 90% of less than one before you have a to pay. I really would like to learn sign language and I am I’m sure how else I can do so without an app, but the fact it requires a subscription and not even just a one time payment. It is a barrier for a lot of people the parts I did get to experience were good, but it’s disappointing that it cost money to learn, especially knowing Duolingo is free and that is a language learning app that many people use I wish there was an app like that for sign language so it was more accessible.Version: 2.7.7

OverpricedAs many of the other reviewers have said, it seems to be a good app but you don’t get nearly enough time to explore the basics before you’re forced to subscribe. There isn’t a free version and you won’t be sure of the content or format before you have to take the leap. Try one of the many other apps..Version: 2.7.1

Why make poor people suffer more?(Edit: I was just charged for another month after very clearly canceling my subscription, absolutely not okay, I only have $1 and something cents in my checking now, why on earth would you do that? I have to wait until after Christmas to have money again, so, guess I can't buy anymore gifts this year. Thanks for totally screwing me over!) If I'm going to pay that much money to learn sign language, I might as well just go to my local community college and take a class, this is absolutely ridiculous, it's great to be able to compensate people, but if you don't have money, and you need to learn sign language, you are absolutely screwed here. It should be set up like Duolingo, where you can choose to get more lessons quicker by doing premium, or you just use it daily to do one lesson a day, maybe have ads if that will help, but seriously? Forcing subscriptions? Really? Are you actually serious with that? 7 days is not enough to learn a whole other language for a free trial. Forcing people to pay for something that they need but cannot afford, is not cool, useful, or necessary. There are clearly plenty of people who are able to pay, and do pay, so why not take their money, and use that to let the rest of us use the app too? It's like you don't even want people to learn sign language, unless they're loaded on cash of course. Greed will be the death of this world and you're proving my point. DO BETTER!!!!.Version: 3.0.2

Great appI used the app for ten minutes and was happy to purchase the membership for a month. I never buy in app purchases or pay for apps but I thought this was worth it. Saw £10 monthly and thought you know what great, I’ll try that. Until it came to £120 a year or £20 a month: Not willing to pay that.Version: 2.7.5

Good but forced a yearly subscription onto meIt’s a very good app for learning Sign language but if you forgot to cancel the free trial it forces you to pay for a yearly subscription which is over 100 dollars, not to mention the app signed me out and I can’t get my old account back so now not only do I not have the yearly subscription but I have to start back from square one. I really wish I could rate this app 5 stars but I can’t in good faith. I miss the old days when apps would just notify you that your trial is over and if you want to keep the features you would pay for a subscription instead of praying in forgetful people and forcing subscriptions when you don’t cancel.Version: 3.0.2

Not for meI saw an ad on tik tok and decided to refresh my knowledge, what they don’t mention is there is actually no free facility to learn without paying them almost £20 a month. Oh and they will withhold your last first lesson so you’re a hostage until you pay. No incentive to continue, so it seems like a great way to discourage people who just wanted to learn out of kindness, not necessity..Version: 2.8.1

I don’t want premium?Everything is great until you realise you can only do chapter 1 of each unit without premium. There are 12 chapters to each unit- how am I supposed to learn when I can only access 40 words before paying like 9.99 a month??.Version: 2.8.4

Nice videos but needs improvingVideos are good quality, however content regularly does not load and you have to quit the session - at least one every lesson- and/or the app closes by itself. Some of the questions could be improved - I have had some without real words, e.g. asking if the answer is “Hello” or “XbfbgsHello”, or asking to pick between obvious differences, such as “welcome” and “banana”..Version: 2.8.1

EhI found this from a few advertisements and suddenly got the urge to start learning sign language for fun. I was I really interested while going through the first lessons, and then it showed that I had to pay to kept going.. well not exactly paying I don’t think, but I had to put card info. This app is for 9+, do you think all minors have that kind of money now? And speaking shouldn’t come at a cost at all. I’ve tried learning Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Tagalog. They all needed card info for me to keep learning. I’ve tried so many apps and nothing came fully free, I thought learning sign language would be different but it’s still just another language. I don’t get why we have to pay to learn these things. And people say it’s best to start learning at a young age. How can I learn if nothing will let me..Version: 2.8.3

Too expensiveI understand the need to charge to keep the app ad free but it’s a bit expensive.Version: 2.7.9

Definitely not freeI though the app was like duo lingo but for sign language but no. Yes duo lingo has a paying option but also a free one. This app just have the paying one and expensive none the less. 22/month ?! This is ridiculous..Version: 3.0.2

Paywall *farts*Yes the app itself is free, but you can’t even complete the first chapter without signing up for a free trial/buying a subscription. 155.99 cad for a year (the “best value” plan) or 22.99/month is insane, if i wanted to pay that much i’d go to a physical class.Version: 3.0.2

So many bugs and just unaffordableSo many issues with this app. Screen goes to progress forward with previous screen behind it so you cannot click further. How can you expect people to pay such a lot of money for an app with such major issues. I feel these BSL apps are just so expensive, not at all affordable and not anywhere near other language cost.Version: 2.4.5

If I could give zero I wouldIt won’t let me login after setting everything up, now it won’t let me delete the account, and it won’t let me unsubscribe from the emails..Version: 2.8.0

Excellent app… Too pricy to continue with. For a very long time, I have been looking for an app to help with my fluency in ASL, but to no avail. Finally, I found this one. I started with the free stuff, but quickly realized that I would not be able to continue on. I am a student, and paying 30 dollars (CAD) is far too much for me. As much as I would love to continue learning, it is just not attainable. I hope that someday Lingvano will make things cheaper or include a student pricing plan..Version: 2.6.9

Should be free! This is a wonderful app, I downloaded this to learn sigh language for my premature hard of hearing baby, I thought let’s get a head start but you have to pay after so long! It was really good and I was actually learning really fast! But then it wanted me to pay… I can’t afford that so now I can’t learn for my child! Things like this should be free for everyone no matter what, should be available for everyone to learn! Everyone should know sign language! MAKE IT FREE!.Version: 2.8.6

Amazing App but everything is behind a paywallI really enjoyed the first modules and was actually practicing and looking forward to using it every day. Unfortunately there’s a pretty steep payment to continue using the app, which is disappointing..Version: 2.8.1

PriceI have completed the free lessons quite quickly and was disappointed to see that I can’t continue learning unless I pay. £119 a year is ridiculous when I want to learn sign language to be more inclusive. However, this app , aside from the price is amazing, is making us pay a ridiculous amount to be able to communicate with those who use sign language..Version: 2.7.9

You will payThe opportunity to learn is not available to those who do not pay unfortunately..Version: 2.8.2
