Accessible, feel better in your bodyI love Sam’s new app Stretch and am loving the January 2023 stretch challenge. I am a person who naturally and in response to stress holds a lot of tension in my body. This creates a cycle of feeling more stress and tension because I’m uncomfortable. I don’t always have the time, focus, discipline or energy for a full yoga session. Sam’s challenges get me into my body, moving, releasing tension, and improving my mobility in a way that is accessible and manageable. Highly recommend!.Version: 5.2

Love this app and have a suggestionI use this app nearly every day. I have chronic back pain and I'm way out of alignment. These stretches have helped ease my pain a bit in between sessions with my chiropractor. They are also helpful for meditation during stressful times at work. One suggestion is that it would be helpful to see a picture, drawing, animation, any type of visual to show exactly what muscles are being stretched. Just like you see on weight machines at the gym. That would be super helpful. P.S. Captions for the deaf and hard of hearing would also be helpful..Version: 4.9.6

A small suggestionIt’s really great and I love it. But if I could offer one idea for improvement, it’d be great if we could cast all videos/clips to the TV or maybe just make them go full screen on phones. Or both. :).Version: 4.9.3

Great systemLove that you do a single stretch for a minute at a time then it rolls into the next one! There are some satisfying pings when you complete a stretch but there’s no one talking at you so can do it in front of the TV. 17 minutes is not too long or too short. Think I might finally have the help I need to practice my splits every day. Would love a similar program for inversions.Version: 4.9.6

Amazing stretching app for athletes!I’m training for a half marathon and these stretches have improved my flexibility so much, while helping me to not get injured! Life changingI’ve been trying to find ways to start a better life with exercises that I could actually do at home with little instruction but great benefits and this app does just that for us that don’t even know where to start or are just too stiff to even get started. Really liking it!I love that the classes aren’t very long but that you can also find a 20 minute session if you want. It encourages baby steps! Yoga is intimidating to me to the idea of doing stretching challenges reframes it in an approachable way. Some feedback: when talking about muscles ex. Hip flexors, maybe just quickly say where or what that muscle is for those unfamiliar with muscle anatomy. Also it’s annoying to go from a standing stretch to a lying down stretch to a standing stretch again. It might be nicer to have more flow, I.e starting with standing stretches then going into sitting stretches..Version: 4.4.0

Amazing for beginners and Experienced Users!As I am getting older I have been getting stiffer and discomfort especially in my hips, I realized I needed to add regular stretching to my daily life. After searching several videos and apps without much luck of one that I could follow easily. I found Sam on TikTok and upon the launch of Stretch, I downloaded the app and subscribed. In the short time I have been following I can feel the results! My hips are more limber and discomfort has gone down tremendously. Good, not yet great.I want to start by saying this app has helped me stretch more regularly and brought some new stretches to my routine. However, I find myself going to the same pre- and post-workout routines over and over. It would be great to offer some new options. You could even highlight classes on the main page of the app. Also, sound cues, vocals, or music would be a nice touch as I regularly have to check to see if I’ve missed something since it is so silent..Version: 5.0.0

Great but..I love this app and the fact that it’s so beginner friendly. I payed for a year membership to commit to actually stretching and because Sam had a deal for a year membership. My only gripe, I guess, is it’s not always accessible. In the sense that some moves aren’t easy for plus size bodies and I wish he’d offer an alternative move. I modify some of the moves easy enough. Great start, would love more user flexibility!This has been a great app to use so far. I’m excited that new stretches and classes keep getting added. Personally, I’d love more quad stretches to help after those intense leg workouts. But the biggest thing for me would be being able to create personalized stretch routines i.e. getting to add individual stretches and classes to specific playlists rather than just the Favourites library. Love this app!Have followed Sam on Instagram and always enjoyed his content and quick tips on stretching. As soon as I found out he designed an app I immediately hopped on! Better Than Other Apps I’ve UsedI started the 10 day challenge and I like that I am walked through how to set up and get into the stretch. Having someone speaking to me about how long to hold my position and what areas of the body we are focusing on really help make sure I am doing it correctly. I also used the “fix your stuff” section and I really like that there is a video right there to show you how to do the stretch instead of a picture with arrows or a link that takes you out of the app to show you a video (like some other apps I’ve used in the past)..Version: 4.1.5

I’m stretching more consistently nowThis app has been amazing for helping me stay consistent with my daily stretching! This is definitely an app I’m happily subscribed to. After a few months of use I one thing I wish the app would do: - Had more content with posture or activity specific stretches. I sit a lot due to my job and I love the section of stretches I can do at my desk, but what about a routine of stretches I should be doing to compensate for all the sitting I did? I would love to see more content on activity related stretching routines. I do a lot of skiing and hiking and am also very active outside of my job and sometimes the hardest part about stretching for me is not knowing what stretches I should do to counter balance the hard stuff I did to my body. Helpful for better livingHello! I’m using the app for better flexibility and to help deal with the arthritis in my lower back and hip. I really enjoy being able to focus on stretches for those particular areas, and to also explore beginning yoga. I like the workout routines that are already set up, the guided classes by Sam, and the ability to do focused stretches as well. Although it’s been over a week now of using the app, I find that I am able to move better and with less stiffness and pain. Super approachable format that works!I’m an avid crossfitter and continually recovering hip replacement surgery receiver…I know stretching is an important part of staying healthy, but I’ve never been able to do the yoga thing (partially cause I feel weird as a guy in a yoga class and partially because I’m not even remotely flexible). Good way to get back into stretchingI used to be very flexible but lost it over time. I wanted something that was more challenging then for beginners. As he does have programs for everyone, I found it nice to be doing something a little bit harder. I was initially worried about formatting and how it would be structured, as it's been quite a few years since I've been in the studio, but the features are all really accessible and easy to navigate. ExpensiveI’m doing the free new years challenge and it’s fun and includes decent stretches, very similar to yoga. I mainly got this app to learn the splits but $23 a month is a lot just to learn the splits. I would love to see an option to be able to purchase single programs for a set fee, not an ongoing monthly fee..Version: 5.9.5

Helping to build a stretching habit!I’m really enjoying this app. Great content with lots of choices in the length of time throughout the videos. Not having to always commit to 30 minutes-an hour of a workout helps me stay consistent on the days when there just isn’t much free time. Sam has a very calming voice to listen to and is very clear when explaining different moves. My one suggestion would be to make the breaks between the timed movements that some videos have a bit longer. Yes there is a pause button but it can be disruptive to have to be reaching out of position for it and sometimes I feel a little rushed. Great start.I really enjoy the app and have been following Sam for a while now. My one critique would be it doesn’t allow me to run my music in the background. Likely because of the video that plays along with the stretch routine. If there was a way to continue to listen to my own music or if some sort of music could be added to each routine that would improve it a lot. Great AppThis is a really good App for those of us that have neglected that part of our healthcare. I mostly lift weights with very little cardio due to a bad back, and I’m constantly dealing with very tight muscles. What pulled me to follow and download this app is that the developer hasn’t always been flexible and on his Instagram shares his journey with us, so I believe it’s possible to regain my flexibility. On top of that his Customer Service is A+, I emailed him a question about the App, and he returned my email within the day with a positive response.
