StoryGraph: Reading Tracker for Positive User Reviews

Absolutely love this appIndependently owned, well maintained, and provides fun stats on your reading. I love seeing the graph go up showing pages and number of books I have read. App works completely without premium so don’t worry you don’t need to pay. I am considering premium in the future when I have more disposable income to support this good app..Version: 1.2

Amazzing. Only one suggestionAmazing app. I had trouble at first with the formats and languages so I contacted customer support through email. Amazing help and showed a step by step explanation of how to change it all. Figured it all out and hand down so good. Only one suggestion which is to link it with Goodreads if that makes sense. I update Goodreads with hundreds of books all the time; however to then go through and do it all on StoryGraph takes so much time. It would be cool if they became linked.Version: 1.6

I (mostly) love it.StoryGraph is an excellent alternative to Goodreads! I especially like the recommendations. You get personalized recommendations based on books you’ve read and how you’ve rated them. (GR used to have that, but not anymore.) StoryGraph also has better social features. The only improvements I suggest are: 1. automatically move books to your “read” list from “currently reading” when you mark your progress as 100%, and 2. allow custom lists/easier tagging. I’d love to be able to “shelve” my books by genre, audience, etc. more easily than typing in tags each time. A drop-down list of favorite tags to add quickly to any book would be great. Thank you for your response! I appreciate you getting back to me. One more question: how do I get to a tag page?.Version: 1.3

Forget Goodreads, get thisAfter being a Goodreads user for years, I finally got fed up of Amazon closing websites left and right (DP Review, Book Depository) and just being an overall nuisance to humanity. So I wanted to give Storygraph a try. I should have done it sooner. Importing all my info (shelves, reviews, etc.) from Goodreads was a breeze and Storygraph is more modern and gives way better stats. Plus it’s not Amazon, a really big plus. Try it, you’ll love it!.Version: 1.7

Brilliant for book and graph loversI legit read just to make the charts more colourful. This is a brilliant app. Please use this I need more people on this. I also work in a bookstore and literally use this to find similar books, and let readers/customers know the vibe of the book (pace, category etc) I love.Version: 1.3

How I wanted goodreads to beAll the functions I wanted in GR are present here ☺️ Also their recommendations are -chef kiss-!! I have found a lot of great books like this! I only wish the app didn't open a new window everytime I tap on a tab. While I can go back to the previous tab, if you tap on another tab it keeps building on top of every tab and becomes confusing (and wastes more of my data >_<) But it's just but a small complain :) Everything else is good!.Version: 1.4

Love this appI’ve been using StoryGraph to track my reading all year through the website and it’s absolutely fantastic, so many amazing features and so easy to use.Version: 1.0

Very user friendly! Nice features!I love so many things about this app: the clean design, the type of information you can leave in reviews and use for searching/filtering books (e.g. pacing, moods, character elements, content warnings), the flexibility in how you leave reviews. I also like how easy it is to keep track of what I’ve read, what I own, and what I want to read. There are a few things I’d love to see added (apologies if they’re already be in the app and I’ve missed them): the ability to collapse all versions of a book in the search results and especially in the recommendations list and the ability to remove individual books from recommendation lists..Version: 1.3

LOVE this appI’ve been using the web version for about a year and I’m obsessed so was thrilled when they finally announced the app. It’s super functional and user-friendly. The logic makes sense! I love love love all the stats. It’s the best, most reader friendly platform out there. Built by and for readers!.Version: 1.0

The delight factor is highOver the last year, StoryGraph has become essential to tracking my reading progress, and I’m so glad to have an indy option. I liked it before the redesign and I love it even more now. I’m a PLUS customer, and I absolutely get $5 worth of value every month. I look at StoryGraph every day to plan my TBR. The new and look feel of the app is great. It is super clean and easy to navigate. The product team is entertaining all kinds of ideas for the roadmap, and they are small but mighty team! I was delighted to get a quick response to my feature suggestion, even if they couldn’t prioritize it just now. They really know what readers want from the data (making it easy to see how I’m progressing and engaging with my reading goals, and THEN letting me drill a bit into those trends) and social experience (NOT comment thread dumpster fire NOR a competition that alienates readers who may read at different paces and for different reasons). The delight factor is high..Version: 1.6

Pretty good!I really like this app, and it is largely very easy to use. I do, however find it difficult to enter completion dates for books I have already finished. I also can’t seem to edit the format of the book I have read, as some are incorrect, despite the fact that I did not provide that information..Version: 1.2

It’s really that goodI looooove storygraph. Honestly, there i no going back to good reads. Love the new layout, love the ability to DNF and . star options. One of my favourite apps!.Version: 1.6

Fantastic! My favourite book tracking app. It has so many features and flexibility, but you can also keep it simple and just track read / want to read. It’s an independently run business, so I feel connected to the creators and coders, and have input about new features!.Version: 1.3

Overall great with some flawsI’m new to StoryGraph, migrating from Goodreads - so far I love the layout and interface, especially compared to Goodreads’ antiquated feel. The biggest and only issue I have so far is the “go back” arrow - it literally will take you back to a survey screen, or review screen once you’ve pressed done, or to any page that should have been a one-and-done page; it’s like an unending blackhole of pages that you can go back to, if that makes sense. That definitely causes some confusion for me and adds a kind of unpolished, amateur feel to the app. But beyond that I’m enjoying it and hopeful for my new book log app experience!.Version: 1.7

AmazingAbsolutely love the Storygraph app - I can see sooo many stats about my reading and it’s so aesthetically pleasing to see the graphs 😍 User interface is simple and clean and not difficult to understand at all. Developers are really responsive and are quick to respond to support tickets! I love how much the app has already changed and developed and can’t wait to see where it goes in the future!.Version: 1.3

The Best Book Tracking App Out There.Adore this app! So easy to use and find new recommendations. The creators are attentive to new features the users want and implement in a timely fashion. Can’t recommend enough..Version: 1.6

The best reading app out thereI transitioned from Goodreads to StoryGraph last year and it improved my reading experience so much. The app offers readers a variety of stats and features that other apps do not supply. It is also super easy to transition your whole library, so do not worry about losing your data! I would 100% recommend making the switch if you want to see various aspects of your reading data displayed visually. Plus, there was an excellent reading wrapped feature at the end of the year. On top of that, the team that runs the app is very involved with users and responsive to requests users make. This is a wonderful app. I wish I could leave more than 5 stars..Version: 1.6

Love this app!!I love StoryGraph so much! It’s so fun to see reading stats and the organising to read pile functions are fab! However, I’d love for the social side to be a bit improved/more intuitive. Having friends and family on the app to see what they’re reading, but made more interactive so you can see when someone adds you, likes your book/progress, and can comment on things would be amazing!.Version: 1.3

GET THIS INSTEAD OF GOODREADS!!!You can very easily move your read books from goodreads over to this app. Goodreads is owned by Jeff Bezos and he’s literally the worst person ever. Don’t support Jeffrey. Get this app instead. The goodreads app is terrible anyway and this one actually works. There’s also graphs showing you what genres you’ve read and stuff like that which is very neat..Version: 1.1

A No BrainerI love this app! It is simple to use and there are so many features. The app developer cares about what HER users want and does her best to accommodate them. I like that I was able to import all of my data from a previously used reading tracker. The future is bright for the story graph. Im excited for updates as they release! Oh, and two words: Dark. Mode. Thank you Nadia! 🤍.Version: 1.6

Unbelievably Good - now with Dark MoodI’ve had this app now for 18 months and it has been a game changer for me. I’m discovering books I have never thought of before..Version: 1.6

A great independent site + appI’ve been searching high and low for an alternative to Goodreads—for some reason, I wanted *all* of the same features so that I didn’t feel as if I were missing out on something. What I didn’t realize is how much those features drive me up a wall! I genuinely love Storygraph because it has helped me fall back in love with reading, not just *talking* about reading. Its goals are fun but not obnoxious to check in with, its catalogue is ever-growing, and its design is far more relaxing than Goodreads. Additionally, it means a lot to me that Storygraph is independent. I plan to subscribe after I finish cataloguing my library, and I urge you to do so as well. It’s not often that we find a website & amazing group of designers like the team behind Storygraph. They are transparent, creative, and hold a relationship with those that frequent the site. Cheers to more reading, with more vivacity than ever!.Version: 1.1

Best book tracking app everI absolutely love this! I love the simplicity of the app and how easy it is to use it. It shows what genre you read most and aims to help you read more diverse genre and topics..Version: 1.0

Amazing, only one small issueI love this app. It’s great to be able to track my reading progress, see my monthly stats, and keep up with what my friends are reading. The only issue I’ve seen with it is that the interface can be a bit messy. Selecting one of the tabs at the bottom takes you to a new page. This means that going between tabs has you ending up with a ton of pages that you need to close or hit the back arrow to get to. Just keeping them as separate tabs that save where you are on that page (as you see with social media apps like Instagram or Pinterest) would make it a much easier app to use. Hopefully this made sense :).Version: 1.1

Love itThe app is great, i love the stats, the community section and the level of detail when rating books. Would be amazing if you could make different lists instead of just one massive to read pile. I don’t know if this is a plus feature as i’m not a member but I would love to be able to do that :) Update: thank you so much for the helpful explanation. amazing app!.Version: 1.2

DisappointedMany credible websites credited this app with being an alternative to good reads. I downloaded it with the upmost confidence in it and was left utterly disappointed in it. I have all of the books I have read in the past couple of years in the Notes app and I just type it in. Recently I have been wanting to convert to an app, so I looked up suggestions. I began to input all of the books and it took me over an hour. And to my dismay, it had tracked all of the books but it didn’t appear in the graph, which is kind of the whole reason I wanted this over goodreads, because it can provide me with a graph. I have waited more than a week to see if it would load and it didn’t. Not worth it, DO NOT waste your time with this. There are many other alternatives which I will now proceed to download after I DELETE THIS APP. OMG IM SO STUPID I WAS LOOKING AT THE WRONG THING IM SO SRY STORY GRAPH I GAVE U A BAD REVIEW FOR NO REASON.Version: 1.7

Love this app BUTMy only problem with this app if that I can’t save and favourite quotes from book I’m reading. Other than that it’s an amazing app.Version: 1.3

Love the appBeen using the app and website for over 6 months and still finding it really great. Tracks books, allows the use of tags and content warnings, partial star ratings, picking specific editions of books, graphs and stats on reading habits- all great features of the website accessible on the app. Only one wish thing makes me miss Goodreads- wish I could have customisable shelf tags, as there are specific things I need to read for that aren’t pleasure reading and would love a way to track separately to standard reading log/read shelf. (Still vastly prefer to other reading sites despite this.) Regularly encourage others to try this site/app..Version: 1.2

Amazing AppThis app is prefect for tracking reading. You can set reading goals, enter free competitions, and join fun reading challenges with other members. I highly recommend this app 10/10 🎉❤️.Version: 1.6

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Such a well made, interesting app!! Never seen my reads represented visually before. Made it so much easier to find other books that i will like..Version: 1.1

Favorite way to track my reading!I absolutely love this app! If you're dissatisfied with the linearity of other reading-tracking apps, Storygraph is the perfect solution!! I recommend this app to literally everyone because of the brilliant interactive features, flexibility in ratings, and the fact that it's constantly in development. While it's not as established as certain competitors and doesn't receive the same level of financial backing, the app & developer go above and beyond with innovative features that make me almost as obsessed with this app as I am with reading. Some of my favorite features include: charts tracking reading moods, genres, and more; reading challenges organized by both the app and other users; innovative ways to find books tailored to your preferences/mood; buddy reads with friends!.Version: 1.6

I love this app!I just came across this app a few days ago and I'm already obsessed - I love seeing stats and being able to connect with friends. The only feedback I have is to adapt the review section to better suit the use of an Apple Pencil.l would love to be able to write out reviews by hand rather than typing - even better if the review section had a ‘notes' area that we would also be able to see in our book library. Other than that it's a really good app!.Version: 1.1

Fantastic appI’ve been using the StoryGraph site since the beginning as I was tired of the corporate-owned competitor (who I won’t name) and had tried other sites to track reading that didn’t appeal. This one is the best one for me because of a lack of emphasis on the social aspect, which is very freeing. It allows me to focus on reading. The catalogue is large and the team very responsive when a book isn’t listed or has incorrect details. I have no complaints about the app now that dark mode has been added. Great job everyone!.Version: 1.6

Best book tracker!!! 💯Been a happy user since the beta version. Seamless transition from goodreads. Innovative features such as quarter stars and pie charts that track mood, pages, and pace. Exceptional customer service!! Nadia (the founder) is so cool and and responsive to suggestions 🤩.Version: 1.1

FabHaving been using the storygraph since it’s beta site, I am very happy to have the app on my phone “desktop” for instant access. The tabs at the bottom make it easy to find the info you’re looking for (stats, profile etc). Looking forward to how it develops in the future..Version: 1.2

Needs more colors and community optionsOk this app is an awesome alternative to goodreads and you can tell it is independant and truly careful with the recommendations (which are amazing) and the CWs which i think is so cool. I think the UI could use more icons and colors because right now its hard to distinguish between things at a glance- everything is white and text based. Also it’d be nice to see books’ ratings/ sort by rating straight away instead of having to dig to see them. Lastly, there needs to be a discussion element added so we can discuss books with eachother, maybe an enhanced bio / profile with more social information as well! I am so excited to see where this app goes!!.Version: 1.3

Amazing!I can’t say enough great things about The StoryGraph! I had the “Internet” App before it came out on the App Store. The amount of detail you can put into each of your reviews blows GoodReads out of the water. You can set books to DNF, get personalized book recs (which are right on the money), and hellooooo half and quarter star reviews!! AND THEN the really cool graphs about the different types of books you read? That’s my favourite feature by far Everything that annoyed me about GoodReads has been addressed in this app and I absolutely love it! You can tell a lot of hard work and heart went into this app by someone who had the same frustrations as the rest of us. Thank you so much!.Version: 1.0

Best Book Tracker Out There!Absolutely love the interface, and the app is constantly improving with more books being added to the database, etc. should be the go-to app for every reader!.Version: 1.7

A Mood Reader’s DreamMy favourite app for reading tracking, recommendations and stats. The perfect platform for mood readers. I use it almost daily..Version: 1.6

Great app and recommend to all!I’ve had this app for about 1.5 years now and it’s really helped me get back into reading. I love being able to track my reading and see past reviews I’ve given for books. I find the graphs really interesting too. I tell all my friends to download it and I’ve just started a book club so we can all read the books together and track our progress on the app. So good, thank you!.Version: 1.3

I plan my reading with it!Inside a month of first using the app I had signed up for a paid Plus account! I use it near daily, and I now plan each month’s reading with it. I’ve set myself numerous Reading Challenges to track particular goals, Readathons, Readalongs, Literary Competitions, etc. And a lot of these ideas and solutions came from responses to my queries. That the app has such hidden depth is testament to its power and flexibility..Version: 1.3

Perfect RecommendationsI listed everything I love in the “what kind of books do you like to read?” section of the reading preferences, and now every time I view my recommendations, it’s like the app is saying “and we love you, too.” Just good books I am consistently eager to read. As someone who never got over the whole thing with Jinni (if you were there, you *know*), I feel immense relief knowing I can get good recommendations without fearing that one day they will sell my data to the highest bidder and leave me high and dry. And frankly, it’s just better than the competition. They get readers. They are readers. They listen..Version: 1.0

Annotate feature should be addedLove the app but should add a feature to annotate book for people like myself that don’t want to annotate in our physical books.Version: 1.7

Must have for all readersI never write reviews but I love this app so much! The interface is so intuitive and the stats give you everything you didn’t know you needed that makes you more excited to finally read through your to-read pile. Most importantly, the site has the feel of a small business - Nadia and Rob have so much integrity with building this platform and engaging user experience to make the best product possible. Never spoken to them but I feel like I know them and can FEEL how much they care about this app. Would never delete!.Version: 1.3

GlichThis review would normally be a 5 star but unfortunately there’s a glich in the app where I updated an owned book to recently read and it doesn’t show up and register that I have completed it and it only happens with some books. Please fix this!.Version: 1.7

Amazing App!!So many great features.Version: 1.3

Pretty good, but recommendations function not intuitiveI switched to mainly using Storygraph, because the toxicity to the social side of Goodreads exhausted me, and the stat and other review features are a plus. But I don’t feel the recommendations section is that intuitive. I tend to read in a lot of broad genres, but within those, I can be picky, and I wish there was a way to account for that. I loved fantasy and romance, but I’m *tired* of getting paranormal and urban fantasy romance recs, because I’m more of an epic fantasy person…with some exceptions, depending on author, tone, characters, etc. Also, I’ve definitely gotten some dark and taboo stuff that isn’t tagged as erotica (a genre I listed as “not interested” in my survey), and it happens way more often than I’d like. Also, why am I being recommended stuff I already have as “want to read?” There’s an option to not see them when doing a filter search, so why would they come up in standard recommendations?.Version: 1.3

Great app but…It’s a good app but im still wondering how im suppose to access my did not finish books because I read online and i deleted my ‘did not finish’ books. I wanted to read those books again but I don’t remember all the titles and I put the books on my did not finish pile except I can’t access the pile.Version: 1.1

Terrific appI really enjoy using the ap. I mainly use it to keep track of what I am reading, but I also enjoy lots of the other things it offers like the recommendations of what to read next.Version: 1.3

Great app!!I’ve downloaded this app around the start of this year and I love using it. However, earlier today when I went to track my progress as I had finished a book, I typed in the page number but the percentage wasn’t at 100% but I had finished the book. Where it gives you the option to change between pages or percent, I switched it to percent to change my journal track progress to 100%. After, it wasn’t giving me the option to switch from pages to percent so I was stuck with the percent and I track my progress when pages. I started reading a new book and I track my progress from every chapter but I had to edit my journal so I could change to pages but now the percent and the side doesn’t go up any. I’ve read three chapters of my book but the percent at the side is still 0%. I’m not sure if it’s a bug or if it’s happening to anybody else but I hope it gets fixed. Apart from that I really like this app!.Version: 1.3

Made the switch & never looked backI don’t remember where I heard about this app, but it was an easy changeover and I’ve been so much happier with how this app works for me as a reader! It’s clean, fun, and having a user-centered development roadmap makes me feel so ~special~. I’ve converted several fellow readers. Additionally, the Plus pricing is reasonable and totally worth it in the context of my budgetary priorities. I love being able categorize books the way I really want to. And with AI products making headlines all the time lately, the machine-learning-generated “what to read next” suggestions in this app are a useful tool WITHOUT all the ethical baggage. If you’re not a Storygraph user yet, grab your library card and make the jump!.Version: 1.6

Love this app!My friend and I always use this app when we buddy read (which is a lot) and it’s perfect. It doesn’t allow spoilers so if one of the people you are reading is up to say 50% of the book and you are only at 25% you can see the comments they have made until you too are at 50%. It’s perfect! My friend and I are both avid bookstagrammers and always recommend it to our friends for buddy reads and reading in general. The only thing I don’t like is how slow it can be..Version: 1.7

Best Book Tracking AppI saw this app on TikTok and I’ve not looked back. I love seeing my stats, it really motivates me to read more. It’s also such a lovely community and the developers are really involved with the community and they actually listen to users wants and needs! Seriously if you love reading and keeping track of your books, download this app.Version: 1.6

Great reading app.I really enjoy this app and it’s a great way to track your books. The pie chart showing the different reading moods is my favorite. One feature I think would elevate the app is an easier way to change the format of the book you’re reading. I didn’t realize at first when I searched for a book that I needed to pick the correct version, paperback, hardback, digital etc. When I finally realized it, it wasn’t worth going through and changing everything. You have to delete the book and then re add it as the other format. It would be cool if there was a drop-down to switch formats. Idk if this is even possible as I’m not a developer or tech person, but just a suggestion. Either way, good app, great tracking, and I like the way it looks..Version: 1.6

Amazing, remember it’s a work in progress! So much better than Goodreads. The recommendations fit so perfectly with my reading habits, I love that you can give ratings by increments of 0.25, and the content warnings are a must! I also love that from when I started using the app about a year ago, a number of changes have been made to increase user experience. GR hasn’t changed once in all the years I have been using it. The developers are are a lovely little team that work incredibly hard to make meaningful updates. So if something is a not working for you, chances are there are plans to change it. Also the volunteer librarians that update the book data are truly wonderful!.Version: 1.3

Great AppI love StoryGraph, it is a fantastic app, however it does lose one star for the following reason; young adult is not a genre. I know I’m not the only person bothered by this. It is an age group/category not a genre and it throws off the stats that this app is otherwise so good at giving you. Please, please fix this, apart from that one gripe please keep doing what you’re doing it’s a fantastic app!.Version: 1.4

Almost greatI really love a lot of aspects of this app’s functionality around reviews since it gives a much fuller picture than a simple star rating. Personally that’s a much bigger draw for me than the ability to give fractional stars, but since they’re there I do also make good use of them. I haven’t made use of the reading challenges yet, but that’s on my list for this year. There are a few weird things with the design of the app that make it difficult to find things. For some reason, I always have a hard time remembering how to get to my own reviews to look at and edit them. I also have not been able to finish any of the handful of books I started after seeing them on their recommendation engine. Perhaps I just need to get more reading history into it, but the books I’m being recommended all seem to have very mediocre ratings and few to no reviews. On the one hand, it’s nice to not be recommended just a list of NYT bestsellers, but their current recommendation algorithm seems to be swinging too far in the other direction..Version: 1.2

Great app for a world that doesn’t need goodreads anymoreNot a review yet bc I just got the app but the icon is not a great sign. It’s nearly the same as the one for BOOKSHELF. 🤔 Update: After using the app for a bit I wanted to update with actual feedback. So far I think the app is clean and smooth as it should be. Not a ton of clicking or tapping around to do things. There’s plenty of thought in making certain things easy (such as tagging a book that’s in the results list of a search instead of having to tap the title and enter the book and tag it and then go back). Adding goodreads was pretty smooth (shout out to the fast customer service rep who explained to me what I was doing wrong.) Adding lots of ratings and reviews in at once could probably be more streamlined but that’s not a thing people need to do often (maybe think about what students do at the end of a semester after reading a ton of books? Some ability to mass tag and date.) The recommendations seem to be very astute. I like the ability to pick things I DON’T want to read and even mark authors as “not interest” (though books with dual authors need a specific button for each author on the recommended results page. Just bc i dislike/distrust one author doesn’t mean I have an opinion on their coauthor. They just have bad taste in friends..Version: 1.3

Good Alternative to GoodreadsI recently moved my book list over from Goodreads to Storygraph. So far I like Storygraph but there are a few features I miss and hope to see in the future: 1. One of the reasons I moved over was because I have friends who use Storygraph. I hope in the future there will be a feature to see who follows you and the ability to interact with your community. It would be nice to comment on books people have read, recommend books, etc. 2. Goodreads has a book club space which I think is a cool idea with lots of potential to be improved upon by Storygraph. I would love to see it! Great app so far..Version: 1.1

I most definitely prefer this to Goodreads! Just one problem…My only issue with this app thus far is that it never updates my most read authors stats and the one author it is showing is not accurate either. Just wondering if this was a bug or if there are plans to modify it in the future? Otherwise, this app has been a game changer! The amount of stats available are incomparable to those on Goodreads and it offers a more clean design. Plus, the app is more focused on reading whereas Goodreads became almost like another social media app rather than its intended purpose to track your reading. I love that StoryGraph is adding in the friends and buddy features but there doesn’t feel like I need to care about what other people are reading..Version: 1.2

DopeInfinitely more reader-focused than other reading apps *cough goodreads*. The recommendations are always spot on, and it’s exciting to see the community aspect being developed as the app grows. big plus as well that it’s woc owned. overall an amazing app that deserves to be the new hub for all readers..Version: 1.2

Wonderful app— Plus plan definitely worth itThis is so much better than Goodreads, for so many different reasons. The stats that they show you are *so* satisfying for the nerds and graph junkies out there like me. Being able to see the company’s product roadmap and be a part of shaping the future of Storygraph is exciting and not something you’ll get from Goodreads! The new UI updates they recently pushed live look great, with a fresh UI that I think looks cooler than the competitors, and they made some nice quality of life improvements as well. Looking forward to Storygraph continuing to grow and improve!.Version: 1.6

Best Reading Tracking App Out ThereI started using Storygraph last year along with Goodreads just to see which one I’d end up liking more and at the end of the year last year I ended up deleting Goodreads because of how happy I am with SG!!! there are so many amazing features and interacting with your friends/adding friends is SO much easier!! I love the pie charts and statistics were given - as well as the MANY different yearly goals for yourself! Whether it be an amount of books, pages OR hours! Don't even get me started on the shelving features and how easy it is to enter their giveaways!.Version: 1.6

Fantastic! 🤓If you love reading and if you love keeping track of your reading/if you love stats, then this is the app for you. The free version of the app is fantastic and it keeps getting better as more features are added. I’m very happy to use it instead of Goodreads which is owned by Amazon. I’d much rather support a great small business started and owned by a woman of colour in the UK. It’s simply fantastic and everything I could want and need in an app like this. I especially love the end of year wrap up stats..Version: 1.7

Practically perfect!I discovered storygraph last year and while it took a while to get used to after only using goodreads for so long, i absolutely love it now <3 as someone spoiled by ao3’s categorisation system (despite hardly reading anything on there, once was enough to get used to it) i love how storygraph categorises things in a similar way with tropes, pace, language, etc. and the graphs it displays the data in are just perfect. i love how you can do reading challenges too! the only thing i can think that would make it even more perfect for me would be having word counts as well as page counts - idk much about how this stuff works but i imagine it wouldn’t be too hard to get it at least from books that have digital copies? a lot of the people i see who love storygraph are also avid fanfic readers and it’d be great to have that as a sort of way to convert between fanfic and published books - but like i said, this would just be an addition to something already perfect!.Version: 1.3

LOVE! Even despite the bugsI love this app. I use it all the time, sometimes just to scroll and find new books! There are a couple bugs in this new update. The dates are off by one day, it doesn’t like up with the calendar. It says I started reading a book on Aug 8 when it was actually Aug 7. It’s like the calendar is just a day ahead. Also, could there be a way to submit that information about a book edition is wrong? I just read a new release, so there’s only one version, but the page numbers are off (actual book only has 304 pages while the app says it has 320) I’m not sure if it counts all the blank pages in the front and back or what, but since those don’t have words on them I don’t think they should be counted. It messes with page tracking too, making it seem like I’ve read way more pages than I actually have. These are just small things I’ve found simply because I’m in the app so much. I recommend it often and love the unique ways to track my goals!!.Version: 1.3

AmazingI have been using this app for a few months now because I saw it on tiktok as an alternative to good reads and i havnt looked back 🥰 this app is amazing and the graphs and data it gives you is great.Version: 1.1

Love tracking my reading list!Love this app! A delightful combination of book reading, reviews and data visualization. Super easy to use, and the tables and charts for reading progress are engaging. Plus, the “recommended” reading selections are always just what I’m looking for. I used to track my reading in a small notebook, but started using The Storygraph app in 2022. I fell in love with the pie charts and review prompts after a few months, and went back to my notebook and entered 3 years of reading history in The Storygraph to track trends in format (book, digital, audio), mood (mostly light hearted), page count, and more. I love reading reviews on this app, and use the recommendations and reviews to plan my trips to the bookstore and library. The Storygraph changed the way I record my reading, and my reviews help me remember which authors and series I want to revisit or continue..Version: 1.6

Way better than good readsThis is so easy to use and I love how it does it’s recommendations!!!! I love this and I couldn’t recommend this more.Version: 1.0

So much to love!!I love so many things about this all! I love that you can do half and quarter stars and all the options when reviewing! I love the break down of stats! The main thing I don’t like is that you can’t see whole follows you! This makes me extremely uncomfortable! I also love connecting with people over reading and have friends and being able to interact with them on a site like this I love! I am able to do that on goodreads which I really appreciate and feel like I can create more of a community! I love being able to interact with my friends and see what they are reading and if it’s a book I love I love being able to comment on their update. I know the creators have said they don’t want this to be a social media website which is why they won’t let you see who your friends are. But I think the social aspect of reading is really fun! I truly love this app so much and it has so many amazing features but I really hate that you can’t see who you’re friends are and who is following you. It makes me extremely uncomfortable as a woman..Version: 1.1

Far better than GoodreadsNadia, Rob and the team work SO HARD to keep this app up to date and constantly bring new features. When was the last time Goodreads did a major overhaul of features? I rest my case..Version: 1.6

Great app!!One of the best I tried, works flawlessly..Version: 1.4

Hands down my fav reading tracking appI’ve been using this app for a year, and it’s been a game changer. The stats and charts cover so much more than just a number of books read. I can track over time what kind of books I’m reading and how it changes. There are *so* many reading challenges you can join, or create one just for you and your friends. Speaking of friends, the is a buddy read option that allows you to read books together in a group, but by requiring a page number for each comment it protects you from seeing spoilers by keeping other’s comments hidden until you reach that point. I also am a really big fan of how reviews are handled - there’s a star rating and option for written reviews like other sites/apps, but there’s also clickable options for moods, pace, characters and a space where you can see/add content warnings..Version: 1.6

Stats and filters! This app is great for organizing your books, I love that you can use filters to search for books (really handy for sorting through your TBR). There’s also individualized stats available which is a great way to visualize your reading tendencies. I love this app..Version: 1.0

A terrific app for readers!I’ve been using this app (and the preceding website) for more than a year. It’s a terrific fit for how I like to record my reading and find new books. Unlike its Amazon-owned main competitor, StoryGraph makes sure I see the content of the book and its pluses and minuses before I get to a contextless star rating. If I want that, I can jump to it easily—but I really like getting the nuance first! In particular, I have found that certain categories of books that I adore (books with queer themes, BIPOC stories, books about women) often receive lower star ratings than their whiter, straighter, male comparators. Even though I know to account for that, the StoryGraph’s nuance-first setup helps ensure I don’t lose out on trying a great book because of those factors. Plus, you can do half and quarter stars in your own ratings!.Version: 1.3

StoryGraph > GoodreadsNo competition! StoryGraph is so useful for reading tracking and finding my next book. I’ve read so much more because of it. Unlike Goodreads you also can interact with the team behind StoryGraph and help shape the development of the app. It’s so cool to see how it changes over time and watch new features be added from user feedback. Support this small business! It’s only a few clicks to port all of your Goodreads data over so you don’t even have to lose your reading history to make the switch. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars!.Version: 1.3

5* app to track your readingI’ve been using Storygraph for years now and recommended it to everyone I know in real life who wants to track their reading. A non-exhaustive list of things I like about the app: - the recommendations are legitimately excellent, I’ve encountered so many fantastic books through this app - there are so many graphs! You can track book moods etc. as well as numbers read - you can set a book goal and/or a pages goal - dark mode! - great community (challenges, January reading challenge etc.) - yearly reading wrap up A must have for all book lovers!.Version: 1.6

Love <33If you’re wondering whether or not to make the switch from goodreads, DO ITTT! i like the interface a lot better, and i love checking my stats. i do it like a million times a day lolol. This is legit one of my favourite apps on my phone, must-have for anyone who likes to read. 💕.Version: 1.4

Amazing!!Really love this app, so many great features and it’s super easy to use! Helped me get back into reading, really love the stats function especially and the recommendations! Great for any book lover :).Version: 1.3

Favorite Tracking AppThe StoryGraph is my FAVORITE tracking app I’ve ever used. I really wanted to get into tracking more closely as I got back into reading, but didn’t want to use GR because I despise the clown-in-charge. The StoryGraph has so much information on books and is constantly evolving and expanding to work better for the users. Feedback is taken to heart and issues are remedied quickly. It’s amazing how well it works with such a small team - a testament to the Founder’s vision and commitment to the community. It can take a short while sort out some of the navigation, but for tracking, adding books, and looking at stats, it’s really really easy. Definitely recommend!.Version: 1.7

Great reading app!The graphs are so cool and the recommendations are spot on.Version: 1.1

What happened? HELPWas really enjoying keeping track of my reading , it added another dimension. But yesterday, it is all gone! Blank , nada. I don’t want to delete app in hope it returns. HELP.Version: 1.7

Only a few daysI have only been using this app a few days. I am really liking what I am seeing. I had been using 2 other apps of which for reading and book tracking and know I will be discontinuing use of one of those and have not made up my mind yet about the second one. I have watched a few videos on you tube about this app to get a better idea of how this works. Several reviewers have suggested switching from a large well know database to this one. I am beginning see why they would recommend doing that using this a few days myself. I have chosen not to name the other 2 apps, databases as my intention is not to be disparaging of the other 2. Between the 3, I am finding this to be the best for me. I will probably pay for the PLUS option when my free month expires..Version: 1.7

Great appLovely clean design and super easy to import your library in from other book tracking apps..Version: 1.3

Way more user friendly than good reads !!I love this app! I was trying to find an app that would help me get more into reading and I stumbled upon good reads. When I got that app I was severely disappointed and frustrated with the app design. It was hard to use and didn’t motivate me to track my reading in anyway. I was searching for an alternative app to get me into reading and I stumbled upon StoryGraph! I fell in love immediately! It’s so user friendly and motivates me to track my progress, not only that it gives amazing suggestions off of what you like to read. It even has different folders where you can store the books you have in your library, books you need to read, and books you are currently reading. I really love StoryGraph!.Version: 1.1

So, so good!I started using this on the recommendation of a friend, and I absolutely love it. While I have been keeping a list of the books I read each year for quite a while, I’ve never found a book tracking site/app that I love and will use … until now! I’ve told so many people about this — it’s so nice to be able to have everything in one place, not need to do extensive reviews (though I like the ratings, especially since they can be broken into fractions of stars), interact with friends easily, and the list goes on. The new updates are fantastic, too!.Version: 1.6

Excellent app with a very responsive team!I enjoy this app so much - it’s a better fit for me than goodreads. It’s easy to use and when I encountered an issue their team responded to my email super fast. And if you find an incorrect book entry in their library, there is a form to submit and their team fixes it fast..Version: 1.3

Love the appI am loving this app! It’s super easy to use. Definitely considering moving from Goodreads I just wish the app had a section for books that you “want to buy”/ “Wishlist”..Version: 1.1

Great app with lots of featuresI love that this app feels like it was designed by readers for readers. I’ve been extremely happy since migrating over to this app in 2020. I love how easy it is to add books to reading challenges, and I love the DNF option..Version: 1.6

Almost perfectI love everything about this app, however I would like for their to be an “on hold” option for books.Version: 1.3

StorygraphI love the app! however, i accidentally clicked on “read” instead of “currently reading” on a book and i don’t know how to erase it because now the app thinks i’ve read it before when i haven’t. i don’t know if it’s possible to erase a book you have read, but if it is, please make the option a bit more accessible! :).Version: 1.2

Amazing new alternative to GoodreadsI’ve been using and loving Goodreads for years and just decided to take the plunge and try out StoryGraph, and I love it! It’s a bit of a learning curve but has so much more cool info, and you can import all your historical GR data to get started! I love all the pie charts for genre, book format read, etc. One suggestion, I wish the little book listings more easily showed which edition/format you have selected. Many of my books aren’t the correct edition/format I actually read but you have to drill down a couple levels to see that. But overall I highly recommend this app!.Version: 1.2

Do you read? Then download this!!Fantastic app for avid and occasional readers. I love the graphs it creates, and the challenges from other readers. I think this app has made me read more often too..Version: 1.3

Love the Content Warning sectionI started using StoryGraph as an alternative to goodreads. I'm so glad I found this! I was able to import all my book data from goodreads which was very helpful. I particularly like the Content Warning section that is part of every book listing. I can use this information to help me decide if I'm in the mood for a particular book. If I had one request, it would be to see the average rating for each book listed with the summary info when I'm looking at a list of recommendations. I want to quickly clear out low rated books without having to load the page for each book..Version: 1.6

Best reading tracker!I’ve been a long time user of The StoryGraph on the web so I’m so glad the app is now available! This is my favourite reading tracker & book recommender. As a mood reader, it’s perfect for when I want to find something new to read..Version: 1.0

Best Book App!!!This app continually gets better and better. The interface is easy to use and looks amazing! Dark Mode FTW! I love seeing what I have read, what I have listened to, and seeing how my moods change with what I am reading - this is a visual geeks' dreams come true app. I can't wait to see what the developers have planned for future updates and changes..Version: 1.6

Love it!Really enjoying this app so far, but something just seems a bit off about it? While on my laptop it’s great but it doesn’t look that good on my phone. Aside from that, I don’t find the stats tracker to be all that useful - very cool, for sure, but I would much prefer the search function to be at the bottom instead of it, or perhaps in addition to..Version: 1.2

StoryGraph is everything I want in a reading appBeyond supporting a small, non-Amazon owned company, StoryGraph is an incredible app with countless thoughtful details. I love the ability to create different reading goals based on number of books or pages, as spend so much time looking through all my stats! The buddy read feature is fantastic too and has made group readings much more engaging. It is obvious that the StoryGraph team has a deep love and appreciation for their community and work so hard to take users feedback and wish lists into reality. I’m incredibly grateful for them and their continued hard work on StoryGraph!.Version: 1.3

Love itReally enjoy this app. The usability is great and easy to get to grips with and I love being able to switch to different editions of the books. It’s nice to see all my book stats which is not something I ever really looked at before but now really enjoy. A must have for any book lover to keep track of their reads and never ending tbr..Version: 1.3

Awesome! (4.5 stars)This is better than Goodreads in my opinion. The homepage is accessible and easy to navigate. I like the quiz at the beginning so that your recommendations are personalized and you can change it at any time. It is quite obvious that the creator loves to read and knows what their doing. It also has reading challenges just like Goodreads. There is stats that shows you what genre, author, mood, ect. that you read the most; which I don’t think goodreads has. Another thing that this has that goodreads doesn’t is detailed reviews. Instead of 1 star increment ratings, it’s in increments of .25. You can also fill out a checklist about the book and submit that with the review. And one of the most useful things is that if you already have an account on goodreads, you can transfer all of your information to StoryGraph. There are a few small things, though. The page count on books is always around 20 pages over what the actual page count is. And since this is a smaller reading app, there isn’t any actual author reviews or anything. This is obviously not the apps fault though. Great app overall!.Version: 1.2

Great for reading trackingHalf star options, no pushing you to buy books. Quiet, simple, like a library. End of the year wrap up gives you all your data with awesome graphs. Fantastic alternative to the other main book tracking app owned by a conglomerate. I ditched that other app recently and haven’t looked back..Version: 1.6

Came for the books, stayed for the statsI switched to the Storygraph in 2020 after finding an ad for its website beta app on either Instagram or tik tok! I was already getting fed up with a competitor: the interface was outdated, & new features were scarce. The Storygraph seemed like such a bright shining light, & a great companion to my reading experience. Since 2020, the Storygraph has released so many fun & exciting features, but the base of it is the same: a clean, minimalist interface with as many stats as you could ever hope for! I love the reading challenges, I love that users can search for books based on mood, pace, length, genre, etc. Finding a new book to read has never been easier! The recommendations are not my favorite, but I also do not have the Plus version, so I’m guessing they would be better with the paid subscription. & in all honesty, adding new books to my TBR isn’t really necessary considering how many I already have!.Version: 1.7

Want to see who publishes the bookI think it is a good app all around. Would love to see a feature where it shows who published the book. Ideally a publisher page would be great so we could find out more about them..Version: 1.1

The best!!I love this app so much, I have always been a big reader but never gelled with any reading app as well as I have with StoryGraph. It’s so user-friendly and beautiful. I love it!.Version: 1.6

Love this appI’ve been pleased with the app since migrating to The StoryGraph in mid 2022. I appreciate the transparency and support the app (& website) builders have towards the users via Instagram & Twitter. Users receive updates & new features often. If any issue pops up or you are confused about a feature, they are just a quick email away. I’m loving the newest updates: dark mode, font change, UI change, owned books organization, and giveaways. Some users may miss the social aspect found in other reading tracking apps, but I love the minimal community page. If you want more social interaction, I highly recommend buddy reads. Thank you to The StoryGraph team for all your hard work..Version: 1.6

Great alternative to GoodreadsEasy to use, great functionality, and importantly to me not owned and run by Amazon..Version: 1.1

My favorite book/reading appSearch for books (owned and not) by mood - way cool! Tell Story Graph content you’re not interested in and there will be an warning icon in the book info - so helpful! especially when your tbr list is hundreds of books long…so many books not enough time. You can be connected to other readers and stuff going on in the site or it can just be your personal reading/book tracker - great to have the choice The Stats - TOTALLY FUN! You can look at stats any time, how many books, how many in each mood, pages, format, pace. And lots of different compare features. The developers routinely seek input from users so this is an app built for readers. Thank you Story Graph!.Version: 1.3

Amazing AppVery easy to use, and a fun way to keep track of my reading! Would definitely recommend over other apps..Version: 1.2

A wonderful app for stats nerds!I really love this app for tracking my reading, it’s really helped me to make reading more of a habit! I love the stats and graphs available, there’s such a wide variety of data and it’s been great for helping me vary my reading. And the reading challenges are so fun and motivating, especially the January Pages Challenge which I managed to complete! I really love this app and I can’t wait to see what other cool features might be added in the future :).Version: 1.6

Might be time to retire GoodReadsFinally! GoodReads has been going downhill recently and I’ve been looking for a replacement. Unlike GoodReads this app is actually optimized for phones and it even has a website too. I was so glad I could transfer all of my GoodReads info over. I love looking through all the little graphs of all my reading stats. The info on the books is so much more in-depth and let’s you pick tags, content warnings and more. You can also still add books and add more info which GoodReads has removed for the average user. This is so helpful for me since I read a lot of digital comics and they aren’t usually on these sorts of reading platforms. My only input is that I would love to put more customization to my profile like adding a favourite book to the top of my page or having a status. Having your age/gender/etc would also be fun. Having badges would also be neat to show off to friends. I can’t wait to see what else this team will bring to their app. Very excited !!.Version: 1.3

Fantastic app that is constantly being improvedI’ve been using StoryGraph for well over a year now, and it really is a fantastic app. If reading stats are your thing, they’re here aplenty, and the book recommendations are intuitive and relevant. There have been some teething issues over this time, but they are fixed quickly and the app is constantly being updated with new features and design. I have started subscribing for the app to support it, but the free version is still very good, and you’re never pressured to pay..Version: 1.6

Keep doing what you’re doing!!!I LOVE STORYGRAPH!! Everyone, I urge you to MAKE THE SWITCH!! Seriously, you won’t regret it. Side note: I would love to be able to see who is following me, and would also love the ability to see a list of reviews you made/other people made on their profile. I understand that this is not really meant to be a social site, but the ability to message others and like/comment on reviews would be absolutely amazing!! This is the only reason I am still using G**dreads..Version: 1.0

Absolutely wonderfulThe app is so well designed i like that’s it’s independent and the content warnings feature is good thank you.Version: 1.2

Game Changer!I am so happy I found Storygraph to help me track my reading. I really enjoy the data you build as you record your books - it’s helped me to hone in on the genres and moods that I enjoy but also branch out to try things I would likely never read. I appreciate all of the changes they’ve made since the app was created, especially dark mode and the inclusion of a “did not finish” option (where you can leave yourself a comment as to why you stopped reading!!) Future me loves the DNF option. Truly, everything they’ve done so far has only made the app more accessible and helpful. I can’t wait to see what else they come up with!.Version: 1.6

The best book tracking app out thereI adore this app so much, the stats are so cool and it’s constantly updating and adding new features. Cant wait to see where it goes next..Version: 1.3

The best reading tracking app!Come for the easy tracking and to support a small, women-owned business where the owner doesn’t want to go to space, stay for the graphs and the wonderful community. I’m on this app tracking my reading every day and I love it. It takes a few hours time investment to get your account cleaned up if you’re transferring a library from elsewhere (the import works really well but book data can be a mess!), but the investment is so worth it to me and only the one time. From then on I find the app super easy (and fun!) to use, and you can import any book you can’t find and use the support tickets to get help updating anything you can’t..Version: 1.3

Love this app so muchI have had this app for nearly 2 years now and I love it so much. I’ve never had Goodreads so can’t compare them, but Storygraph is incredibly easy to use, I love the layout of it, and it’s constantly updating. I absolutely love the newest changes! I don’t have a single criticism and can’t wait to see how this app keeps improving in the future. One thing I think would be cool is to have the ability to see how “diversely” you’re reading, such as seeing how many books have PoC authors/main characters, or at least to see if a book is OwnVoices. Anyway, love this app so much!! <3.Version: 1.6

The StoryGraph is the best reading tracker app!I absolutely love using the StoryGraph, it makes it so easy to keep track of my reading and books I want to read. My favourite thing about the StoryGraph is how responsive the creators are to the users, there are always new, improved features, and they are always something I actually want and will use!.Version: 1.6

Brilliant book tracker & more!I’m loving The Storygraph, it’s a brilliant app! So many fantastic features, with a beautiful & simple user interface. I love all the ways you can get reading stats, and the ability to join reading challenges is a huge bonus. Only thing I’m waiting on is a barcode scanner for scanning in my books and ensuring I’m tracking & cataloguing the correct edition. It would be a great addition to the recent new features. If you love books & reading, and looking for a book tracking app, I highly recommend this one!.Version: 1.6

AmazingI have been using storygraph for a while. It’s excellent for keeping track of my reading and connecting with a community of readers. So excited that the app is here!!.Version: 1.0

AmazingI never leave reviews but this is great! Motivating me to get back into reading this year and really opening my eyes to what I actually like to read and what brings me joy ☀️ 10/10.Version: 1.4

Hands down the best reading app!I love StoryGraph and recommend it to all of my friends who love to read. I’m a bit of a data nerd so being able to see trends in what I read is super interesting and I love the recommendations feature. So happy to have found an awesome app, made by awesome people. Thank you!.Version: 1.3

A brilliant tool for readers of all typesI’ve tried many times to keep a reading spreadsheet but I always get overwhelmed and give up. StoryGraph takes all the stress out of tracking and analysing my reading data. And the best part is, it’s practically effortless. The various graphs are helpful and intuitive. I love that you can get information at-a-glance. Plus it’s actually information that I’m interested in seeing; it doesn’t present graphs just for the sake of presenting graphs. Although I’ve only been using it for a short while, I’m seeing habits and trends emerging that I’d never have recognised on my own. I particularly love the Moods and the Pace categories which are really interesting ways to break down the types of books you’re reading. Thanks so much for creating such an awesome, innovative platform!.Version: 1.0

Love it!Storygraph has helped me read so much more in the past few months! Between stats and reading challenges, it’s basically everything I didn’t even realise I wanted in a book tracker and then some. Looking forward to finding out where the site goes from here..Version: 1.0

Download this app right now!Life-changing sounds dramatic, but between StoryGraph and Libby, I’ve rediscovered my love of reading and read almost 200 books since I started on StoryGraph a little over a year ago, from finishing maybe 2 books per year before that. Multiple aspects of StoryGraph - helpful graphs or fun reading challenges helped remind me that I feel better when I do more reading than watching TV. Things StoryGraph is great at, versus other platforms you might be considering: 1. Not full of ads. Clean, pleasing aesthetic. 2. You don’t have to pay to have a useful, functional experience. 3. You can engage with the community aspects as much or as little as you want. 4. Content warnings include enough categories to be useful, and the community can submit additional warnings, which you can browse in a spoiler-free way. 5. The graphs are fun and useful in learning more about your own reading habits, and may encourage you to read more if that’s your thing. 6. It’s Black-founded and run, not owned by a certain megacorp. 7. Migration from GoodReads is easy, if you’re worried about losing your past data! Cons: It’s a newer app, with a small but incredible team, so there are some small bugs, but they’ve been incredible at responding to suggestions and adding features. The most recent redesign looks great! Thank you, StoryGraph!.Version: 1.6

Loving the app!My friend recently recommended this app to try out and have been obsessed since then! It’s so interesting being able to view my stats on what books I read! A few suggestions to improve the app would be a function to scan the book title instead of manually searching and fixing the transitions between opening book profiles and other tabs (stats, profile etc)..Version: 1.2

Love the app, but bug reportApp is hanging when I update one of my reviews, I need to restart the app. Also UI/UX notes: - i went back to goodreads for a bit because I didn’t even realize this app had ratings. I feel like ratings and reviews need to move up from the bottom of the page. - I’m sure you’re aware, but performance needs to improve. One of my main gripes with goodreads is it is super laggy. But the iOS app for storygraph is similarly laggy when eg opening a book’s page. I’m a software dev so I know how hard this is to fix, but I still wanted to flag. - When I sort my “to read” list, click into a book, switch the edition, and then come back out to the list, the sort is reset. - Please let me sort my lists by rating..Version: 1.2

Really good app , wish it had a smoother user experienceI love this app and it’s been v. helpful for keeping me on track for reading. i love seeing my friends reviews on books. it’s v. easy to post my own reviews too and i loveeeee the progress charts so much !! my only feedback is i wish we didnt have the loading screen anytime we switch pages. it makes the app seem like a slow website instead of a useful app. also constantly clicking back pages is annoying. its not smooth, it makes it seem laggy and disjointed..Version: 1.6

Book Club TBRI love the app and even got my friend on so we could start a book club! We would just love to be able to create a separate”bookshelf” for you joint TBR rather than it all going into our regular TBR. Is there a way that you can incorporate TBR bookshelves where you can categorise your TBR. Otherwise 4.5 stars! Love it 😊.Version: 1.2

New kid on the block?I just realized almost all reviews are within past couple of days so there is my evidence :) The app has a simple streamlined also uncluttered interface. I like the general minimalist aesthetic which plays a big part for continued use as a new user. I am impressed with the recommendations as I have been building a small ‘library’, online or offline. The books fall neatly into the niches I am currently focusing on while bearing surprise factor to expand on my own list. This is a gem for sure. I guess it really depends on the longevity of those apps, growth potential, user base…Last Goodread replacement seems to be out of the cyberspace before I get to check it out (after I first learned about it some years ago)…At least I am a front runner for this one! So maybe share some findings, 1st, the app doesn’t stay signing in, so it’s a bit inconvenient having to type credential every time. 2nd the Current On…section is like a young adult gold mine, pretty irrelevant to my reading selection. So no idea what’s the algorithm behind… Question is if I start to add data to this, how long will they stay on? Also how good is the archive the app is searching? How solid is the search/display algorithm? The order of the search results are quite interesting….Version: 1.0

I love Storygraph SO much!!!!If you enjoy reading, Storygraph is the app for you!!! From the moment I started using this app, I could tell it was made by people who enjoy reading. All the features are perfect! Storygraph has a really easy to use app (both on your phone and in your computer) and it is so easy to log your pages read or books read! I really enjoy being able to see all my statistics in fun graphs and colorful pie charts. You can join reading challenges, do buddy reads, and get a year in review wrap up at the end of the year! I have told all my friends and family about this app because it is amazing!! Try it out!.Version: 1.6

Love!Love this app still and use it regularly! Have just upgraded to the plus version. Had an idea about how it would be great to organise books we read “playlist style” like books that suit different moods, genres, different ways to cater to what people are looking for. The personalised option is great, but would be good to use more key words or features when searching! And maybe more descriptiors for when reviewing. Otherwise love the app still!.Version: 1.1

Helps me stay motivated to read!I'd fallen into a years long reading slump before 2020. I started reading again during the pandemic, but I still lacked motivation. Making an account on Storygraph really helped! If you love the feeling of checking things off a to-do list, I think Storygraph will work great for you--every time I finish a book now, I get to check it off, and I get a sense of accomplishment that incentivizes me to pick up another one. I love seeing my stats too, and learning more about myself as a reader, which helps me figure out which books I'm likely to enjoy. I also love that Storygraph shows content warnings, which help me to know if a book is safe for me to go into. Can't recommend this app enough!.Version: 1.6

Star ratingsIt’s a good app but y’all should make it easier to give it a star rating afterwards, like how it pops up on goodreads. Having to go through the whole review thing is annoying..Version: 1.2

Literally one of my favourite appsBefore I heard of StoryGraph I struggled to get into reading for myself after reading educationally. But now this app tracks heaps of different things and has me excited to update my books even when I finish a chapter. The buddy read mechanism is so cool. I also don’t feel like I’m unfairly disadvantage by having the unpaid version, which makes me want to pay for it more!! Just wish it had my currency to go for it. But either way, it’s an amazing app that has so much love put into it. You’ll love the yearly reading wrap ups promise!!!.Version: 1.6

Hi, I hope the developers see this!I love the functionality of this app for myself, however I think it could use improvements in the social area and the aesthetic areas. It’s very clean and easy to read which is great, but the app could benefit from more “photogenic” layouts like letterboxd. People love sharing screenshots of their top movies or their recently watched movies paired with the movie posters, and it gets people to download the app. I would like to be able to share what I’m doing on StoryGraph in an aesthetically appealing way so that more of my friends want to get the app and join in on the fun 😃 updates to profiles so that they display more reading stats, favorites, to read piles etc. for other people would be excellent! Additionally, on the social side, it would be nice if the timeline to see what my friends are reading/adding to their to read pile/ratings/etc. was more easy to see. The updates are rather large. It can also be hard to find people, and I’m confused about the difference between following people and being friends with them? What are the differences between the two statuses? Anyways!! Love the app, great alternative for goodreads. All my critiques come from a place of love, I really hope the app continues to grow and improve and eventually becomes a more social platform for sharing and discussion because more people need to read!! And reading is fun when you get to share it 🫶🏼.Version: 1.3

Must have!!I am very glad I made the switch to StoryGraph! I love the way it presents my reading data, plus the myriad of other features such as Buddy Reads. I’ve been trying to convince all my friends to transition to this tool - it’s very easy to do. If you’ve been thinking about it, now’s the time!.Version: 1.6

Love It!It’s way better than GoodReads! Very easy to navigate and gets updated all the time; they also have a challenge, keep your TBR and DNF aperste. Love this site!.Version: 1.2
