✓ At long lastI had the predecessor to this app for the the PC and loved it so was really pleased when I tried this out and found that most of why I loved the PC version was now available as an app for my iPad. I know it been out a while but have only just started using it and so far I am very impressed. Well worth having if you are a serious inland waterways boater - highly recommended..Version: 1.9
✓ No Pro features *updated review*Purchased the Pro features and nothing changed in the app. £10 for nothing new. Requested a refund from Apple. Not impressed. —————————————————— After the developer reached out to me, we were able to resolve the issue with the Pro Features not showing up. Very much appreciate him taking the time to personally look after this. Everything is good and the Canals.UK app has all the features that I would require and then some! Highly recommended. ✓ My go to app for quick routing calculationsWe are a serial electric hybrid boat and, by choice, cruise at a slower speed than many boats. This app enables you to customise your speed so that you get an quick and more accurate estimate of how long a particular journey might take you. You need to “Go Pro” to do this but it’s money we’ll spent in my opinion..Version: 3.7
✓ Nice looking AppGood looking app, I saw the words Demo GoPro which initially I thought was due to being an unfinished app?. However it then dawned on me that it was in fact Demo’ing features available if I purchased Pro not GoPro as in the camera 😂. Looks a handy resource will be interesting to see how it relates to services etc on the cut. Thanks 👍.Version: 1.2
✓ Great app!Works really smoothly and fast, clear layout uncluttered. I used it for the first time yesterday to plot my progress. I don’t need much and the app meets my needs. ✓ Good AppI think this is the best app around for narrowboat cruisers but it’s not perfect. My biggest gripe is that some data is missing such as water points - even some of those which are shown in the most well known book of canal maps . (Begins with N). There also seems no way of alerting the developers to this - a feature in the app to report missing or wrong information would be a useful feature. Some of the data seems to be missing when using nearby even when the feature is on the map. Overall good however and I think worth the tenner for pro version..Version: 2.4
✓ Works well, use it all the timeAs an edit, this was resolved almost instantly by the developer, once contacted. I’m really glad someone has gone to the effort of making this. However I do get very odd distances when planning. Sadly there is no developer contact on the app to report these to. An example is the 5 miles from GU Uxbridge lock to Slough Arm, Hollow Hill being shown as 202 miles. I’m sure it’s a tiny glitch that will get resolved and I’m happy to have paid for the full version. *now all fixed*.Version: 2.0

✓ Brilliant for all boatersBeen using this now for a week and it’s been really handy. Finally I can find a water point with ease, unlike the open canal map! Thanks for putting the time into developing this, I shall be recommending to all my fellow boaters! Feedback: As a solo boater I tend to have one hand on the tiller and the other on my phone, however I can’t reach the ‘locate me arrow’ without using my other hand, Any chance you can bring this down to the bottom corner? In the app I can’t seem to find any information about what the pro option actually offers, I’d more than likely upgrade if I just knew it would benefit me. If the map is editable, can we get a ‘report an error’ option, I’ve noticed a waterpoint showing on the wrong side of a bridge.Version: 1.3

✓ Fantastic appEdited in light of developer feedback - I’d not spotted the features I thought would be useful! This is brilliant. It could almost replace my Nicholson’s Guides. It’s so much handier as it always knows where you are and great for planning trips. The perfect app for boaters and for me it even worked without 4G - I assume it must use GPS.Version: 3.0

It’s been great, love all the functionality and recommended it to a number of others ….. only point I think could improve it would the ability for boaters to add notes ie if you find something helpful or know of a issue it would be handy, possibly with dates E.g canal ?? ✓ Good app with lots of potentialEasy to use with good graphics and helpful links to CRT notices. I shall definitely be using it instead of clutching aNicholson. It’s a work in progress so may I respectfully suggest three improvements. (1) could we enter start and end points by name when Route planning instead of entering canal and then scrolling along the canal (2) could we have user adjustable boat speeds and lock operating speeds . You can get these in canalplanac the free website program . And (3) it would be great if, when Route planning , the Route could pick up the relevant CRT notices in particular stoppages and navigation restrictions. Anyway thank you for a great app..Version: 1.3
