✓ Was good app until blocked off with premiumIt was a good app until you blocked off the one main cool feature that I loved about it. Now you have to pay for the actual vinyl which doesn’t make sense seeing as that’s the whole app name and the icon for the app. Will be leaving a 2 star rating. Very disappointed.Version: 1.5.2

✓ Love the concept but there’s just a little bugThe whole idea is great and I made a home screen page just with the big square widget and then the one with just the control buttons. There’s just this weird bug that when you press one of the buttons on the controls, it does something like it begins to open the app but then cancels and it looks bad and just ruins the whole experience. If this bug was fixed on the widgets, i’d give 5stars because i just love the custom music player idea. I downloaded the app because I wanted the vinyl widget. It looked cute so I even paid to unlock it. It did say something about subscribing to Apple Music but since the song that was currently playing showed up I didn’t think it mattered. With solid colours for example? And another little qualm I have for it, is that sometimes when I tap on the interactive widget, it does this weird pop out effect, like the one seen when you open an app, but that might just be Apple being Apple. ✓ Cool but not nearly enough customization options.Considering I paid for a single widget and this app offers nothing more, I really think there should be more customizable options for the record player. Only 4 colors are available (back, white, “blur” and orange - which is so random lol) so I think a color wheel would be a nice touch, along with the option to make it transparent so that it can blend with the wallpaper. Your competitors also allow you to change a lot more, such as choosing different fonts and picking what you want to show- like if you want just the song title or just the artist name or if you want to include the album title too. There is even an option on some as far as if you want the hand to show. I would give 5 stars if customizing was better. I knew it was limited but picked this app over the others based on the reviews. ✓ I really wanted to like these widgetsThe best part of this app is that the widgets are beautifully designed and look great on your Home Screen. FYI these are all PAID features. Don’t get this app if you aren’t willing to spend 3.99. Unfortunately the app is very poorly coded. Widgets should seamlessly work in the background to provide you with a visually appealing icon for your Home Screen. Let me tell you what you will get with this widget: When you play a song. The widget will still show the song as paused, until you tap the widget, then it updates and the record starts to spin. Did you change to a new album? The widget will still show the album art for the old album, again, until you tap on it to update it. I don’t want to have to tap on the widget every single time just to see my current music. It’s now a chore instead of something that looks nice. (Yes I have background app refresh turned on) Looking at other reviews going back a few months, others have complained about this, and the developer has been saying its limitations with iOS 16. Well as of the time of this review I am on iOS 17.0.3 and this is still an issue 🤷♂️ Also, when you play and pause a song, it has this ugly choppy animation while the app executes the command. I’m sure there exists a way to code it such that the play and pause and skip can be pressed without opening your own app, then connecting to Spotify, then executing the command, it really just looks unprofessional and takes away from the premium feel of the widget. In order to justify the 3.99 price tag of premium which I unfortunately had to refund I would reccomend improving the widget such that it automatically starts to play or pause or whatever on its own, without the user having to physically tap on it. And try to have the pause button etc. just be pressed and that’s it, no ugly unintentional choppy flicker-y animation. I’m not a programmer so I can’t speak on the difficulty of achieving that but all I know is that other widgets don’t experience this issue. Until these issues are fixed I can’t recommend this app..Version: 1.10.2
