✗ Just using renters’ financial data to pay for rent collectionThis is obviously a savings deal for the landlords. They probably pay little or nothing to have Bilt collect their monthly rents. But renters must consent to Bilt looking at all their credit card billings if they pay by card (with a 3% fee!) or at all their banking activity if they link to their bank account. They don’t just take the money, they harvest your personal information and resell it. It’s outrageous that a landlord should try to coerce tenants into giving up their financial data to a third party they have a new beneficial relationship with. ✗ Doesn’t WorkLinking your bank account never advances to the next step. Re-logging in and going through 5 pages just to see a white page saying “Close this page to continue to next step” redirects you to the Home Screen.
