✓ Works with 8 GB of RAM—no need for 16 GigsI cannot tell how it would perform with 16 GB's, but even with 8, it was able to transcribe speech where I mixed English words with a language spoken by less than 10 million natives. It is somewhat slow with transcribing audio files (at least on 8 GB's) but the luxury to not have to use the f— cloud, and sell your private life out AND pay for it via the API fee (0.5¢/~700 words) is the cherry on the cake. Works with all sorts of file formats, you drag it, drop it, and that's about it; you get a transcript..Version: 1.0.3

✓ SuperbThis is a superb app. I have been using it to transcript webinars and recorded videos of meetings from iPhones. The .srt files created seem to work fine and I have been using Handbrkae to add them to the final conveted videos. There are a few errors, but these are usually real names or technical details, easy to edit the .srt file to fix them. A 'search & replace' works well as most errors are consistent. ✓ Amazing appAbsolutely amazing. I downloaded an 8 minute podcast of one person speaking in a measured way. The speaker had a light Irish accent. After Aiko transcribed it it looks perfect. I've skimmed through and haven't yet spotted any obvious errors. Now I can go ahead and make notes on what was said without endless Pause-Play-Rewind actions to catch it. ✓ A very robust piece of codeThank you very much for providing AIKO. I have compared it with MacWhisper and it is better at separating the speech of different speakers. The transcription accuracy is also better. I have written some php/javascript to take the transcription text with the timings to assign different speakers to the each of the phrases. Not many phrases have needed to be split into two speakers. What I must also do is provide a way of doing bulk changes of words or phrases in the transcription but that won't be too difficult to do. By the way I have used it on the recordings of two zoom meetings. Once again thank you very much..Version: 1.5.3

✓ How????Listen, I don’t ever take the time wrote reviews but somehow this app has been the best audio transcription app out there, at least for what I use it for, which has been for getting the lyrics from audio stems. I have tried so many apps and services both paid and free and at best even the top paid ones had about 60% accuracy. With this app I used it on 25 vocal tracks with 90-95% accuracy and this service is free?! What?! Thank you to whoever made this you truly rock!.Version: 1.0.1

✓ Great APP and it;s freeThis App is amazing and just helped me pass my course. I had a bunch of video lectures that i wanted to gerneate notes out of and this App, trnascibed the whole video series for me so I dont have to type everything out. It does consumes a lot of power and Memory and my macbook became quite hot but other than that it did what it was supposed to do and hopefully it can be better optimized in the future..Version: 1.5.2

✓ Really impressiveHey there! I just wanted to say that I gave the Chinese and English voice input a try and it was really impressive. As someone with a heavy Asian accent when speaking English, I was really impressed that Aiko was able to transcribe everything perfectly. And let me tell you, processing a 200MB video file usually takes forever, but Aiko does it in just around 30 seconds! Amazing, right? ✓ The answer to my prayersI often have to record something on my phone, then, transcribe it, I was using a different service for this, but that cost money. Every time I was using the transcriptions, and it took a while to come back. This is wonderful, it can do it on device, I knew something like this was going to come out when I saw the whisper model last year, but back, then it could only run on the computer, and this is so much better. I have both versions, the one for my Mac, and one for my phone, and they both are wonderful, one for when I’m sitting down and one for when I’m on the go..Version: 1.0.5

No. But it was incredibly good and better than I could possible do transcribing it manually. I can't seem to include the time stamps when saving the transcript. Although it produces some redundancies when I upload long voice memos, using ChatGPT, copy and paste to, is a great way to clean things up. ✓ One of the best transcriptions and its free!It is extremly accurate even with bad recordings. Things to be awear of is it takes a ton of power and time to run. ✓ Easy to use, No nonsense transcription AppI have been using Aiko for about 1 week now. Accuracy makes up for the slow transcription speed. It even did a great job at transcribing a 1 hour meeting with three people (accuracy appx. 90%). I prefer accuracy to speed, though wish it could run in background mode so I can do other work on the iPad dur8ng transcription. It would be nice if we could have maybe been able to select the smaller or larger which will affect the speed but the accuracy at the same time. ✓ Mind BlowingI can't thank the developer enough for this app. I'm using it for the first time right now and inputting the audio from a class which was just absolutely confusing. I wanted to revisit what the lecturer was talking about later but knew I wouldn't get around to actually listening to the recording, but just dragged and dropped it into Aiko and it's transcribed the whole thing. Don't get me wrong, there's still mistakes here and there, but it's unlike anything I've seen before. It's not complete garbage like Apple's native dictate, Google Docs dictate or Microsoft Word Dictate, it actually knows what's going on - and it does a pretty good job with punctuation too. I just hope it remains like this. I will be so sad if they flip to a subscription model of the app..Version: 1.2.0
